I have had classes here twice. This ever, same time I’m in Harvard. So I could compare both. mIT look more to modern terms. Harvard try to be classical one. So both are so good. MIT Amazing school. You should definitely walk around campus. Every building is an architectural gem. The views of Boston skyline are great and crossing the bridge on Mass Av walking is really nice. To finish I recommend you to go to food trucks. Modern fast and good foods next to MIT university. That’s sounds so cool.

I loved the new buildings. I visited the MIT museum and was very surprised. Again, the staff at the museum was very helpful and pleasant. I didn’t make it all over the campus but was very pleased with what I saw.

The MIT community is driven by a shared purpose: to make a better world through education, research, and innovation. Founded to accelerate the nation’s industrial revolution, MIT is profoundly American. With ingenuity and drive, our graduates have invented fundamental technologies, launched new industries, and created millions of American jobs. At the same time, and without the slightest sense of contradiction, MIT is profoundly global The mission of MIT is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century. The Institute is committed to generating, disseminating, and preserving knowledge, and to working with others to bring this knowledge to bear on the world’s great challenges. MIT is dedicated to providing its students with an education that combines rigorous academic study and the excitement of discovery with the support and intellectual stimulation of a diverse campus community. We visited here in Spring. Not crowded. The university is huge and has so many departments and buildings. This is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. We were so much thrilled to be here. We visited a couple of buildings and the great lawn area in front of the main building too. The surroundings are dreamlike and are very student friendly. There are many facilities for students to study, read, have group activities, play and much more. We took some pictures and imagined someday our kid might get into this great university. Thanks so much !!

Even though I am not a science student (anymore), I could feel all an amazing thrill walking through the corridor and the courtyard of this phenomenonal institution. Undoubtedly, it makes sense why this is such an amazing place to learn and develop something new. The surrounding area is also very beautiful, specially the skyline over the river. Surely, would love to come back soon!

This is one of the most money minded college/university in the whole country. This was fine when it was under PU but since the time it has become deemed it has become : - Ridiculously expensive course - Pathetic arrogant staff and teachers - Will not consider sport certificate/medical certificate and will mark your attendance low intentionally - Will ask for money to grant term in subjects All they need is money. That's it. BEWARE DONT TAKE ADMISSION IN THIS. YOU WILL REGRET EVERY PENNY.

Great one to pay for visit. Great campus. MIT's 166-acre (67.2 ha) campus in the city of Cambridge spans approximately a mile along the north side of the Charles River basin.[6] The campus is divided roughly in half by Massachusetts Avenue, with most dormitories and student life facilities to the west and most academic buildings to the east. The bridge closest to MIT is the Harvard Bridge, which is known for being marked off in a non-standard unit of length – the smoot.

Before I know anything more about you, I would like to thank you for the generous open courses on your website. I cannot find any decent summer schools that teach me programming in Montreal. I will count on you this summer and see how the IT courses go for me. Thanks again for all the online resources.

Without question, among the very finest institutes for mathematics and the physical sciences. Probably the highest ranked in regards to Physics and Computer Science. The following review is directed to the Department of Physics: Look at the beauty of Newton's Inverse Square Law of Gravity. Einstein's equation for mass/ energy equivalence is simpler, but that much more profound. The Inverse Square Law, however, mimics what should be everyday knowledge. For example, given a 1ft. X 1ft. X 1ft. Cube of gold that weighs 1206 lbs. How much would a cube of half the measure weigh? In other words, how much would a 6in. X 6in. X 6in. Cube of gold weigh? It would weigh precisely 150.75 lbs. So, halve the linear dimensions and you get 1/8 the weight. In Newton's Inverse Square Law, if you halve the distance between two gravitationally attracted bodies, the gravitational attraction will increase 8 fold because we live in a three dimensional world. So, gravity expresses itself three dimensionally, as it should. The fourth dimension is time. Einstein called the combination of all four dimensions "spacetime". The solution to complex problems is never more complexity. The solution is always simplicity. String Theory is an unnecessarily complicated and fabricated route to solving the Unified Field Theory. Myriad numbers of subatomic particles, gravitons, vibrating strings, and the multiverse are evidence enough that String Theory is not Science- it's Science Fiction! Four Fundamental Forces? There's actually TWO. There's gravity, and then there's everything else including strong and weak nuclear force, magnetism, EMR- all of which are sublimations of that OTHER UNNAMED FORCE. Gravity will NEVER be reconciled with the OTHER FORCE simply because our Universe is founded on DUALISM. Gravity is distortion of spacetime by mass. It is that simple! It is not carried by gravitons, it is not transmittable and, therefore has no velocity. Gravity is not Electromagnetic energy. It is the distortion of spacetime by mass. FIELDS, which are always embedded in spacetime are simply distortions of spacetime. Under extreme conditions, such as at the rotational centers of galaxies, star formation occurs and all 92 naturally occurring elements, or their precursors, have their origin here. Matter spontaneously forms in energy nodes in these FIELDS outside the event horizons of large black holes and is driven by the rapid expansion of the Universe. Spacetime is actually expanding away from us at rates far in excess of c or the speed of light. When spacetime expands it takes galaxies with it. What else? Oh, yeah, the infinite divisibility of matter and, similarly, the racking out of Phi and Pi to 5 million decimal places is completely fallacious and is not worth anyone's effort. Matter is NOT infinitely divisible! Matter is composed of indivisible components such as protons, neutrons, and electrons, that are already known and experimentally demonstrable. The components of these subatomic particles that are endlessly being catalogued at CERN need to be scrutinized by scientists outside the field of Particle Physics and proof needs to be given that these particles actually exist in Nature. Just like the hypothetical graviton, the Higgs Boson actually does not exist in Nature! If at all, it only fleetingly exists in the LHC long enough to be detected and that ain't long enough!

When Scientists start abusing their position and let their half-wit political inclinations get in the way of their ignorant hate for certain politicians, MIT fails to be the institute of eminance it desires to be. Recently a bunch of professors (Abhijit Banerjee, Arindam Dutta, Balakrishnan Rajagopal, Mriganka Sur, Ruth Perry, Sally Haslanger, Elizabeth A Wood, Helen E Lee and Abha Sur) bound by their psuedo-hate for the BJP/RSS and the Subramaniam swamy started a campaign to not to allow Subramaniam swany, a noted mathematician (Ph.D from Harward), laywer and the longest serving Member of the Indian parliament from speaking at a conference at the MIT. These half-wits think they have the *alls to stop swamy from speaking his mind. I think, these are paid sleeper cells in MIT which have been activated by their godfathers as its time for a high-pitch elections in India. There ignorant phony intllectuals are too deep down their ignorance to see their fallacies. With such dimwits in the institute, MIT has its downfall on the horizon.

Visited the campus during a recent trip to Boston and enjoyed the experience. It's great to see a private university opening its doors to curious visitors who are drawn in by the prestige attached to the school. The Visitor/Information Center is on Rogers Building (aka, Building 7-121) along Massachusetts Avenue, where maps and restrooms are available. The building is hard to miss with its Greek columns and the name of the school and founder inscribed on its facade. Maps are also available on the MIT website. It would probably take half a day to visit the campus at a leisurely pace. If you don't have much time, the Great Dome and Killian Court (green space) are easily reachable from the Information Center and are very picture-worthy. From there, you can reach the waterfront, which offers amazing views of downtown Boston and Charles River. You can even cross the bridge on foot if your next destination is the downtown area.

MIT... Name is enough...Fascinating Campus! As a tourist, I found out MIT is a cooler place to visit than Harvard. I mean for the architecture, the stories, and the cool things going on in the school. The engineering building was the coolest to see. You definitely need to plan ahead as they have limited space. The hour information session could have been condensed to 35 minutes, but otherwise was very helpful. The walking tour was more informative. The campus is beautiful with many unique buildings. Stroll through Killian's Court and take a walk on the riverside to see the crew teams and sailing teams as they practice and race on the Charles River.

I went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology to look around a school and listen lecture by a professor. Massachusetts Institute of Technology’ Buildings are very diverse. If you go to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, you can see that Massachusetts Institute of Technology has a long history. Like my picture, Massachusetts Institute of Technology has a clear campus. The professor’s lecture was also impressive. Luckily, the lecture was a physics similar to my career. Thanks to professor, my dream became more clear. By touring such a world-class university, I was assured of my career. I want to recommend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology tour to many people.

In 1859, a proposal was submitted to the Massachusetts General Court to use newly filled lands in Back Bay, Boston for a "Conservatory of Art and Science", but the proposal failed.]A charter for the incorporation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, proposed by William Barton Rogers, was signed by the governor of Massachusetts on April 10, 1861. Rogers, a professor from the University of Virginia, wanted to establish an institution to address rapid scientific and technological advances. He did not wish to found a professional school, but a combination with elements of both professional and liberal education, proposing that: The true and only practicable object of a polytechnic school is, as I conceive, the teaching, not of the minute details and manipulations of the arts, which can be done only in the workshop, but the inculcation of those scientific principles which form the basis and explanation of them, and along with this, a full and methodical review of all their leading processes and operations in connection with physical laws.

MIT has one of the most fascinating University campuses in the world. Some of the greatest minds attend, instruct and work here.

Ana Caroline Paiva Gandara

It's not worthy to go there if you didn't go to other places in Boston. All the tech stuff is pretty amazing - but I didn't find it exciting enough to go there. Even being a scientist. Go there only if you really like high tech stuff and have time for it. Good thing: it's not expensive.

Deependra Sharma

World's best Technical Institute. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology was founded in 1861 by William Barton Rogers. MIT's charter (Massachusetts Acts of 1861, Chapter 183, for the bibliographically-minded) foresaw "a school of industrial science [aiding] the advancement, development and practical application of science in connection with arts, agriculture, manufactures, and commerce." More than 150 years have passed since its incorporation, but the purpose of MIT has remained much the same. MIT's current mission is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century. The Institute is committed to generating, disseminating, and preserving knowledge, and to working with others to bring this knowledge to bear on the world's great challenges. MIT is dedicated to providing its students with an education that combines rigorous academic study and the excitement of discovery with the support and intellectual stimulation of a diverse campus community. We seek to develop in each member of the MIT community the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the betterment of humankind.

Open access to the public! Able to walk around to see the classrooms. Nicely decorated inside as well. Situated just right to the lakeside so really enjoyed the view!

Did a college tour with my kid. Great campus! Take public transportation if you can. Parking was a bit difficult to find. Ended up finding space in the yellow garage. Not a far walk from where we needed to be.

Gil Ochoa

I read that Luis Videgaray would be teaching in that school, if that is true, it would be a shame that a such a prestigious school would hire this dishonest person that is involved in corruption in Mexico !!

thank you so much for making scratch.
