Waiting for my child to get out of a class that is scheduled to finish at 6:45pm and is it currently 8:00pm and the class is still going. What kind of college professor runs their class over an hour past it’s scheduled time? One with no time management skills? An incompetent one? Kamilya Khuramshina is the professor instructing this debacle. FCC has fallen a long ways when it comes to quality professors. Class full of young kids being held hours after their class is supposed to let out at night in the winter. Yeah, complete and utter disgrace to FCC. 8:20pm and still waiting. 8:40pm and I told my child to come to the car.

This college is a joke. I already have a masters equivalent but, I’ve taken a few courses here and there mostly for education or personal enrichment, but I’ll never take a class or recommend FCC again. During the most recent course I took, a close family member passed making it difficult on myself, a full time teacher, wife, and mother to a two year old, to help fill in at the family’s full time dairy farm operation. Upon finding a loved one passed, emailing the professor, who took a week to get back to me, she recommended dropping the course and taking at another time. I did drop the course as recommended, however it was one day after the drop period to receive money back. So, I filed an appeal for my money back due to family member death- with all documentation. Needless to say, the appeal was denied because they said I had two weeks time during the death of my loved one to drop the course. WHAT?!? TWO WEEKS?!? We’re talking about the loss of an immediate family member here, not extended cousin twice removed Billy Bob. Personally, I’ll never take any classes here AGAIN, I also will not be recommending this college to anyone including all my high students that I teach. So, FCCs loss.

I was an open campus/dual enrollment student at FCC for my senior year of high school. The staff were very knowledgable and always eager to help, and all the classes I took were taught by very competent professors.

I received my associates degree here, I had good professors and received a high level of education for a two year college. I believe FCC is a wonderful school to attend if you're not ready to go away for college.
