I went back to school after having graduated high school ten years prior and I really enjoy going to Carroll. They offer most of the classes in either classroom or online setting which is fantastic if you have a busy schedule and are unable to attend classes regularly. The in-county tuition cost per class is cheaper than the surrounding counties in-county cost. The campus has always been clean, the cafe has decent food with good options, and there's even a Starbucks station in the cafe which is great for a morning pick-me-up. The campus is laid out well so it's easy to navigate they offer a plethora of scholarships for qualifying students which is a big help with the cost of going to college.

I am retired and take music classes at Carroll Community College (not-for-credit.) I am especially impressed with the jazz combo and vocal ensemble courses. Both teachers take particular care to make each student comfortable and help them find their own role in the group. All instruments and voices are welcome, even viola! There is also a rock ensemble and possibility of a jazz choir (if enough people sign up.)
