Doing my experience at the college, I love it and the Professors are awesome.

San'Dria B

2 stars because there are people here who actually do their job and go up and beyond for the student. I wish I could give them all 5 stars but there are so many people who don't do their job and don't care how they affect students. 1 semester I was hospitalized and when I left I had to ware a heart monitor. The dean told me I should give up on my studies, I was never going to get my degree and a few other things. My heart broke that semester because I was fighting to just survive mentally, physically and financially. Like who talks like that! Who discourages there students?! This was no joking matter. Placing people in positions who don't care to be there. Bccc that's just one of the major ways you need to change for the better. I came back to his office and shoved all 4 A's in his face and demanded he provide someone who actually cares about the students.

I earned my degree this year. I have to agree with other reviews, wonderful professors, but the other staff is rude. It has changed my life because I gave BCCC all that is in me. I am proud of my accomplishment, national Dean's list, 3.5 GPA. I am a better person because I took advantage of what BCCC offered.

It's horrible and like hell. No place to print a copy and starting from the admission office to the financial aids are extremely rude. I don't think they love their job. Would never recommend. Total waste of time.

I went here a couple years ago and took two prerequisites, completed and passed with A's in both classes decided to continue and they put me in reng92 with a teacher who was an absolute dud.. I tried to drop her class and couldn't and I eventually dropped out, she was THAT BAD.. I plan on re-enrolling in the future. The best thing to do is ask other students what teachers are the best before taking their class.

melissa turner

The girls in the cashiers office is rude...... the professors that I've have meant so far are excellent.

They really don't know what they are doing. Not helpful at all.. Applied for my financial aid when I took my first semester... Every time gave me the same problems and issues and finally when they approved it now waiting for money to get it ... And still waiting... They really don't know what they r doing and what's going on....

Only giving two starts because I did attend here for my first bit of college experience. Other than that it is disorganized teachers don't come and don't let students know the spring semester was a waste of my time

Dena Barnwell

I love this school. I attended from 2015-2017 to get the gen ed and prerequisites needed for my BS degree. I had the opportunity to interact with the student accounting, registration and financial aid depts. Everyone seemed very nice and interested in my success. Every single professor I encountered cared about my success. The professor for my orientation class still checks on me from time to time. I could not ask for a better environment.

Plz don't make the wrong decision by going to the dental hygiene program at bccc. The teachers and Director for the program only care about the Check the take home . They care nothing about the student success.

The staff is extremely rude, but the professors is cool asf. they need to hire new staff especially in the financial aid office.

I graduated from BCCC in 2011. Some of the foreign professors were a little hard to understand at times, but I made the best of it. I took my time and worked with them, and they were great. I loved it, it was phenomenal!!! It's all what you make it, what you put in...is what you get out.

Baltimore City Community College was the worst experience ever. I was in the multi-skilled medical technician training program back from 2013-2014 and I was in the CNA Class at the University of Maryland Biopark and I could not learn in peace. It was so bad that I did not successfully complete the entire program and I only earned my cna certification. This college is the worst and the people in baltimore are crazy. I would not recommend that anyone goes to baltimore city community college because it is the worst college ever. I used to live in baltimore and it was horrible. I was so happy when I left. I would not recommend that anyone moves to baltimore nor the state of maryland because it is the worst city and state to live in.

Well. I can say that My Mother who teaches here despite bureaucracy that exists at most Universities and Colleges does her VERY BEST TO GIVE THE STUDENTS THAT SHE TEACHES AND INTERACTS WITH A FIGHTING CHANCE AT SUCCESS. At home she is relentlessly giving her personal time to prepare for classes and speak with students to help them. My mother has had situations where students never showed up and then try to professionally destroy attack her because she refused to just give A's. Her students GAIN THEIR GRADES AND HAVE BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL. I AM appalled with these terrible reviews. This School is phenomenal. It is in the Community and offers professional programs thst help many ppl who otherwise wouldn't have these opportunities. Reach out to your good teachers, they may want to help, but it is the students who pays tuition so there is only so much they can do before they are called trouble makers or even fired, if you do not support them. Be active. My mother has raised TWO SUCCESSFUL POST GRADUATE CHILDREN AND SO SHE HAS a proven record in her techniques. THERE ARE PPL THERE TO HELP YOU...PAY ATTENTION AND SUPPORT THEM!

Worst community college in the world. Staff is extremely rude. Even Amazon treats me better as an employee than this college treats me as a client. Absolutely does not value the student and some staff are just in it for the money and do not care about the student. Staff acts like they are too busy when you ask for help. Quality of education is poor. Graduation rate is lower than 10%. This college needs a culture change. Direct quote from the registar Wendy Harris. I do not think college is for you after I explained to her that I work a lot to pay for college. New and updated stats. This college is terrible. .Among Maryland’s two-year colleges, Baltimore City community college has the lowest graduation rate -- 3.3 percent for students who first enrolled in 2011 -- and the lowest transfer rate (11.5 percent for the same group), according to data from the state and college.

It's a nice school. It's important to be kind no matter what. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions for understanding. Always make sure to have a student inquiry. It helps you to get a lot done. The Early Childhood Education program is wonderful. The advisors are great. They have lots of events for students.

The worst community college ever in my life! No prepared, no help, no professionalism for students. It took almost 2 month to receive electronic official transcript for transferring my credits. They charged me $5 for transcript at the moment I requested it and took forever to process. I called this person who is in charge of transcript process ... she never answer the phone. I left message couple times but I did not get call back. Those staffs in BCCC do not really care about students and has no respect either. Please do not consider attending this horrible institution.

I have been at BCCC for almost 2 years now. The school is horrible, financial aid office is not professional. The student accounting office has the worst people working there. I feel like I haven't learned anything from the classes I have taken so far. I unfortunately have to withdrawal this semester because I had surgery and fell behind in my EMT class. Instead of the school helping me get cought up they let you fail in your class. You have to go to 4 different offices on campus jyst to change your address. I am transferring back to CCBC I took one summer math class there and the professor made sure we all pasted.

My experience at Baltimore City Community College overall has been not good at all... I spent about 3 and a half years trying to improve my GPA but sadly but it did not.... Every semester it went down terribly because of the lack of teaching and they do'nt want to help you succeed even when you try to work hard and attempt to pass your classes... trust me, it wont happen!!! I got very frustrated at this school... It will drive you crazy!!!! The student body is not good at all!!! The majority of the student body are rude, arrogant and its very hard to make friends!!! You will be lucky if you come across a few people who are actually nice but however, the ratchetness makes it look bad!!! Everything about this college is disorganized!!! It is not professional and this college makes a lot of people transfer!!! whats sad about this college is that they have sports teams and clubs but no one really pays attention and you dont have a clue know whats going on.... I will say this, there are some professors who care about you as a person and they will pass you because they see you trying in class and you work hard... but you are better off getting your degree somewhere else!!! If you go here and you are thinking about transferring.. DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID BCCC!!

-Cheap but so is overall quality. Only one international student advisor who's extremely busy and need appointments to talk about anything, not to see same day but some other day next week. - finally admitted after struggle in admissions department, but car towed away on the first day of college. The college parking lot was so small and no parking space was available. My class had already started so parked by the side of visitors park without blocking road. The insane so called parking lot attendents also known as bccc public safety officers not only placed a ticket of $75 on my car to be paid separately ,but also called the towing company that I ended up paying $350 extra to release my car.So, a total loss of $425 dollars on first day of college. -when I saw the quality of professors on class, my heart broke again. I looked professors ratings and paid for one professor but later the other professor came to teach on class. This man was the worst one. No body understood what he taught. He himself was confused and unable to help . All we felt in class like "what's going on?". Some of the serious students wanted to complain the head of the department , but guess what- the man turned out to be the department head himself with 20 -22 years of teaching in his academic field. -My BCCC experience was full of ironies and wonder. Yours may not be the same. It's cheap though, if you need a low budget college. Best of luck. :( :( :(

What can I say... its a community college nothing more.

They don't take federal loans or scholarships from elsewhere, so if you're planning on paying, you better know that it'll be either out of pocket or Pell Grant ONLY. Just hope that you or your parents don't make too much to cover the costs, because while the the credit hours are cheap ($113 per credit hour - usually 3 credits per class - $300+ for city residents), the cost of books is astronomical. And sometimes they're not even actual BOOKS. Sometimes they're just loose leaf paper that you're required to spend $300 on and put it in your own binder. This school is ridiculous. I didn't get much help from staff either when it came to financial assistance. I'm a smart woman in my 30s who was looking to further my career options, but BCCC was not the place for me at all. I decided to go to CCBC where I can actually get the financial help that I need.

They are unprofessional and make up rules as they go along. My major issues are involving them making up rules about what makes me an independent student vs what makes me dependent. The FAFSA qualified me as independent but since I don't have children of my own Financial Aid office says I'm dependent. Also once you register they tell you nothing about the campus (unlike CCBC), there are no maps given for first time students, to help with the whole process of finding the classes. Information they are suppose to send you doesn't get sent and if it does get sent its not done with a sense of urgency. I'm essentially just not pleased with the whole process of how they work and this has to be because of lazy workers. I understand how it is to process paperwork for a mass of people, I do it as a job, but I also believe in accuracy and being punctual unfortunately it doesn't hold true for this school. In all honesty I would recommend CCBC for the accuracy and punctuality also they want to actually help the students (speaking of the office workers). But with BCCC being the cheapest of the Community Colleges you get what you pay for unfortunately.

I think I graduated from here in 1970. It changed my life. I transferred to a major 4 year college. Can't really remember much about it, but back then it had an amazing accounting program with super teachers. Especially Mrs. Woods. I owe her more than she'll ever know.

The worst college yet!!!. Facility is rude, no school spirit, you have some professors and Deans that are passionate however the majority of the school cares about the paycheck. No type of remorse for the students at all.

Would give no stars if possible to this ghetto, money hungry school. They teach but the likely-hood of you actually learning something is very low. Only thing the worthless, lazy staff care about is getting a paycheck, being cute, and talking crap about their co-workers, I can't tell you how much of other staff and students' personal lives I have been told about. The programs and groups that are there to "help" you succeed, lol A JOKE, then again if you like free text books and bus passes then go for it its all they're worth. I mean its no wonder that their retention rate is like 95% higher than their graduation rate. I would love to meet some of you who are saying that your life has changed since attending (no disrespect intended) if you'd like to waste 2 years worth of Pell grant be my guest to apply. If not then I suggest you take it else where

BCCC Accounting Office were terrible to my son and I. BCCC Accounting office sent out a Final Notice Bill, and would not tell me or my son the dates of when their office sent out the bill before that one (because they didn't). My son ask questions regarding the bill becuase he took the courses last year as part of a high school program and he graduated this yr and his out of high school. The Accounting office give my son a printout and told him to call someone else. This particular lady is always in meetings and never return your calls. Now my son has a central collection bill again. This is the 2nd time my son pay BCCC.
