An ok school that has seen better days. Too much money spent on unnecessary new buildings and not enough on improving our academic programs. No grad programs and no online classes (it "IS" the 21st century, right?).

As a former student & alumni, I pen this review to remark about the quality education I received from this fine institution. One of the leading, if not the leading, at the time of this review, HCBUs /Universities with the highest rate of acceptance of African Americans into Medical Schools, XU has something to be proud of. Also to be noted is there great Pharmacy Program where the nations best and brightest fight to gain acceptance into this year accredited program. I will be the first to admit, the administrative side of XU is kind of lackluster, especially the financial aid department; but over looking that & going in head-first, XU is a school where one can truly receive the HBCU experience being sought after. The staff & professors are top rate & to be commended for a job well done.

The cafeteria is disgusting! Some of the food that is prepared is undercooked, there are MAGGOTS AND ROACHES in this cafeteria. I'm really bout to transfer cause this is beyond me.
