It's a very disorganized school. When ask a simple question to school employees, no one can give a straight and correct answer. Furthermore, employees don't communicate with each other and it's like their left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Trust me, you wouldn't want to be a part of it. All they can teach you is to be like them.

I love my campus and love being a warhawk!! The beauty of the bayou is so overlooked when really it’s a gem in the Twin Cities. As a local and former WMHS student, I’m so thankful for an amazing college so close to home! I have the luxury of feeling “away and off” at college, while also not being too far from home and comfort! I keep my fingers crossed and encourage more locals to continue their education right here in Monroe La!

I’ve never had a financial aid office legit be so unhelpful, almost like they didn’t care if I could afford my senior year or not (even FAFSA was nicer to me in my situation). Glad I found someone that could answer my questions and help me figure out how to pay. Very disappointed that I supported a school this long that would treat their students that way.

Jalee Knotts

Great atmosphere, awesome professors, friendly peers, and friendly staff. Everyone is very helpful.

It is day 87 and the rednecks have accepted me as one of their own. I have grown to understand and respect their gentle ways. My duck calling abilities have far exceeded that which was previously possible for my kind. Now I question everything I thought I once knew and fear I am no longer capable of following through with my primary objective. I know that those who sent me will not relent. They will send others in my place… But we will be ready

I love ULM! The campus scenery is beautiful and serene. You can kayak on the bayou that runs through it, feed the baby turtles, watch their National Award winning ski team practice or have a nice quiet picnic near the water. The people are so friendly and there is a variety of things to attend and places to go. I love it there!

If you're looking for a school which focuses more on athletics than science, this might be the place for you. Fifty years of work building a phenomenal collection of natural history is being tossed out so a handful of students have a place to practice running. Shameful.

Library was new and nice when I was there. Tuition cheap. Downside is not the most desirable area of the country.

Terrible school. Lousy, racist, hateful professors. Racist, uneducated, middle class white students. No one at this institution cares about learning. Rather, they just want to party and act stupid on mom and dad's money for four years. Screw this school and the conservative hicks that attend it. You'd do better getting a trade. It's just as enriching, which is to say not at all.

I attended ULM during the last millennium and can say this has never been what you might expect—a lightweight redneck college in the Mississippi Delta. Grading was tough, no easy A’s or B’s. I suspect it was easier to make good grades at bigger name schools. I say this not to dis’ ULM but to say it was demanding. You had to master the material. Six years after I graduated, I was accepted to LSU law school (a top 100 law school) on my first try at any law school. I took the LSAT once with no prep. I hope this helps. I love ULM.

Beautiful campus if they'd stop remodeling everything. A fee good teachers, but way too expensive for too small of a selection!!!
