Newman University is an institution that puts academia first. This is shown through their outstanding professors whom care for their students personally and educationally. I love how they want their students to graduate empowered to transform society. With a smaller campus, the social atmosphere is close knit and friendly. Attend Newman if you want to be valued and empowered for your future. When I first got here, the first couple of weeks I thought I wouldn't like it because I was kind of lonely and a lot of people were starting to get to know each other or already did so I was thinking about transferring but now I am starting to like it a lot. There are a few things that could be changed but other than that it's alright.

Do not expect to great customer service from this school. I had my transcript sent out to another university from this school and the new school never received it. Instead of them sending out a new one, they expect me to pay for a new one to be sent out saying it is not their fault. So they think it is my fault? They did not fix the problem, but they hung up on me. How rude!! I thought highly of this school until now. What bad customer service!!!

MBA '18 - Had a great experience at Newman. The staff and faculty are extremely helpful and truly care about your success in the program. The new Bishop Gerber Science Center is a really impressive building packed with the latest state of the art equipment focused on STEM programs. There are always plenty of student events from theatre productions, athletic games, feature guest lectures, and social hangouts. I started the MBA program in 2016 and graduated in 2018. One of the greatest things I enjoyed about the MBA program was the low student to teacher ratio. Some classes had only four students so it didn't really feel like a class - it felt more like coaching sessions. I created close bonds with both classmates and instructors. During the MBA program, I attended a leadership course that was integrated with the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC). The instructors were certified coaches. Having an on the ground KLC experience at Newman University was a great convenience factor. Otherwise I would have to drive off campus to the Wichita KLC center to attend in-person classes. I was amazed by the level of professionalism of my peer students. Having attended a couple state colleges for my undergrad, I saw a start contrast.

Great University and amazing people. At first I thought that it was not my place, but definitely the best choice I have ever made so far in my life. Faculty is amazing. They help you every time you need them and even if you do not need them they offer to help at any time. Staff is also amazing. My first semester was a little bit frustrating for me because my accent was very strong and it was hard to communicate others. They took the time to understand me and listen to me patiently. The student population is awesome because they are very social and want to do things all the time. Regarding the classes and academic level, I loved it. Classes are challenging but teachers help you any time you need. There are also tutors available in case you cannot meet with the teachers. Facilities are also very nice and what else can I say...I would totally recommend this university. Contact me if you need more information!

Newman is a beautiful, small Catholic University just southwest of downtown Wichita. The campus is intimate, faculty friendly and the facilities mostly new or recently renovated.

Professors hardly reply to emails. My Guidance counselor acts like Im bugging her, even if I have an appointment! If you have an issue, you will be to blame. Unbelievable ! Im paying 3,000 dollars for each class so I kind of expect a lot more!

I can confirm what someone else said about the poor customer service from the staff - particularly when dealing with the business office. I had a bad experience in my dorm (mold), and after paying for a room change and medications upon medications during that time period, I spent over $600. I was not able to pay my tuition in time (I was paying out of pocket) but despite this they charged me interest twice. I was told that because of the date that it was too late to refund the interest charges. I loved that roundabout. I had proof from my doctor and receipts for medications, including allergy meds (before I realized I had a mold problem I thought it may have been severe allergies, though that wasn't it). The Payroll Administrator (Jeana Scott) was unbelievably rude and disregarded my situation as totally meaningless. She condescendingly responded to all my statements and questions, and I quickly realized that, no matter what the problem, that I would never return to the business office again.

Going from a transfer student athlete without a tour of the university and not knowing where Wichita or Kansas was to completing my B.S. degree and staying and pursuing my M.B.A. while being a student leader, resident assistant for Merlini Hall and graduate assistant for men's tennis program. I couldn't ask for a better University and second home! It really grows on you and it is hard to leave such a great environment. Students, faculty and staff are amazing! What makes Newman so unique is it size and student life on campus. You get to know everybody really well and make a lot of friends and memories that you will never forget!

Great university. Would definitely recommend this university. My son enjoyed his 4 years here. Love the small school atmosphere and the student to teacher ratio is is a plus for the students to thrive.

Great university with extremely helpful staff and students! I did not attend Newman University, but I work very closely with Music Theater department faculty and students throughout the year. The fall musical, seasonal concerts, and Spring Show are always of the highest quality! It's an honor to work with such dedicated and talented people. When the time comes (several years from now), I'd be thrilled if either of my kids decided to to attend Newman University!

All I can vouch for are the facilities which are top-notch. The dorms were clean and the area well maintained. The classrooms and concert hall really blew me away too.
