Great University
Overall it's an ok school. Campus is beautiful and easy to navigate once you get the hang out it, but the dorms are horrible. I feel like I just walked into Harry Potters closet when ever I go into a room. Students are nice but you can hear your neighbors entire life story just by sitting on your bed with everything off. Sort of creepy since they can be down the hall. In yoir dorm you can hear everything though if you walk out your room, instant Ghost town. So many things to do and see. Food is amazing. It get old quick which I guess happens with all colleges if you are there to learn and nothing else. Gets super boring.
Baby girl is all moved in at Ball State! Proud mama here!
sucks hard man kappa
My cousins go to ball state I think I'm going there.
School went way downhill the past years, administration is unprofessional, teachers get by getting assignments off the internet.
Papa John went here, I highly recommend
Went there one summer and hope to go there for collage with my friends.
Tour was cool loved it
Spent two years there and then went on to grad school in Florida. Not the greatest area, but I grew to love Muncie and the people at BSU were very nice. I met very close friends. You may get a lot more of the childish types near campus, but Muncie and the University try harder than most to offer a great experience. It had better wifi and recognition than my university in a major city of over 50,000 students.
OOOH YES HUNEY HARDER
Ball State "University," where the internet works half the time, and a parking spot can be found 25% of the time. Administratively this place is run horribly. I have liked most of my professors, but they also refuse to get rid of the bad ones... again it's an admin problem. Save yourself the hassle and go to a real school that has working internet and cares enough to make enough parking. Ball State's motto should be "F*** the Students!"
I love this place and was a member of the football team. I Graduated quite some time ago but my degree and the personal connections made are still paying dividends. Chirp Chirp!
My sister doesn't like many things, but she loved this school. I live 3 hours away and when she came home for breaks she was nicer than ever(due to the school) She is now in college and wishes she could come back BEST SCHOOL EVER
The party collage lol
ball state is amazing! I was a part of the color guard and Dr. Hand really made this place feel like home ❤️ Go cards!
My alma mater! Couldn't love it more!
I went on a tour the other day and it was a beautiful college love the scenery but it had an old feel to it and seemed kinda dull in some places
Studied here fall 2006 and I think was a really good school. Good teachers, facilities such as lecture halls, library, dormitory, and training facilities. Was involved in everything from running club to fencing and have a lot of fun. Also used to watch the football games with the cardinals and was nice. The city is not the biggest and their is no good public communication to the airport and you have to take a taxi, ask a friend or have a own car.
My daugher attends at Ball State. Great school!
Former cardinal here! Ball State is what you make of it. The good:They have quality professors, nice campus and housing, good food, okay student employment opportunities, just about any club you can think of, not too much student debt! The bad: NO flipping parking :(, yes even three years later from when I graduated, administrative offices can be difficult to deal with, and the dumb "We Fly" slogan, Education Redefined was way better! It's a good school if you give it a chance. Great for a small fish in medium sized pond. Check out their nursing, business, education, architecture programs :). Doesn't get more honest than this, folks!
Ball State has the most stupid ebill system EVER devised. I use multiple organizations' systems without issues, but Ball States is a CONSTANT headache and their 30 minute hold time with no resolution from the bursars office only adds to the frustration. My jury is still out on the school, but I can wholeheartedly pan the pathetic web process for billing and making payments.
My experience at Ball State involved 3 years in the Honors College while playing on their Division I MAC Champion Field Hockey Team. I was so happy to find the exact major that I wanted: Biology--Pre-dental Preparation. In doing so, I was able to complete all the requirements for my major in 3 years and enter dental school 1 year earlier than I had anticipated. BSU accepted all of my credits from my first year of dental school and applied them toward the hours needed to complete my Bachelor's degree. I actually went back to campus to walk through graduation with the friends I had made while there. I can't thank the university enough for preparing me and allowing me to get started on my career ahead of schedule. I have fond memories of the university, campus, teachers, and athletic program. I highly recommend this university.
im doing a report on ball state and idk anything about it but i guess its ok.
I like this universiti
I love the campus and the community is really kind!
My time earning a degree at Ball State has served me well in life. I earn a good, fair living and I am proud to be an alum. GO CARDINALS !
Amazing food and beverages
Beautiful university
Beautiful Campus
Awesome University
It's wonderful to have a school of higher learning, Ball State University, in the city of Muncie. BSU draws bright young minds to our town from around the world, enriching the living experience for all residents.
it sucks
my sister is going to ball state
place is no good. i didnt get an education. bad school :((((((((
Ball state is an amazing school and has everything you need.
LOVE Ball State!!! So many different groups and people to get involved with. Awesome and caring professors. Decent little town (I'm from farm country so it seems very exciting to me!). LOTS of restaurants locally.
Ball State is a great education and with the crazy costs of education, they have done a great job offerign a good education to those that can't go out of state.
No oats 1/5
Because it's a good school.
Beautiful campus-- just gorgeous! The landscaping, layouts and buildings are always a pleasure. See the Owley museum while you're there.
Great place to work!
I love to roller blade around here.
BSU alumni here...very impressed with new construction on campus. Some things haven't changed one bit from when I lived here, but other things have been upgraded a lot.
my sister went here and i visited. JUST BEAUTIFUL
Most greatest school
Bad university, ok party school. Administration is terrible. This trickles down to instructors who do not care about students and increased tuition prices. Students had to interrupt my class to pass around a petition requesting that upon retirement the only chemistry equipment maintenance man be replaced. So the science deparments are very underfunded, but hey there is a rock climbing wall! Oh yeah, there's also lots of frat guys who love to tell you how cool they are!
Great University! I spent 4 years and enjoyed every year at this beautiful university.
Proud of the education that I have received at Ball State. During my, long, time at BSU, I never had any problems with the institution. The professors were, mostly, friendly.
Great opportunity for education at a much lower cost than many other colleges.
Awesome Education program. Also not too big and not too small.
Good
Not a very good school at all, they treat you as another number for the university, not as an individual.
ONE YEAR IN BALL STATE AND I HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH. THERE ARE NOT DIVERSITY LIKE MOST OF THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES. THEY ARE RACISTS (NO THE STUDENTS BUT THE STAFF). NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON WHEN YOU ASK A QUESTION ABOUT A PROGRAM, THEY DO NOT EVEN KNOW THAT THEY EXIST. THEY ARE ON THE TOP OF BUREAUCRACY. FROM ALL 9 PROFESSORS THAT I HAD, ONLY 2 OF THEM ACTUALLY CARE AND HELPED ME OUT WHEN I ASKED. FIVE OF THEM WERE MEDIOCRE AND 2 WERE HORRIBLE BAD. ONE OF THEM IS THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT SHE SHOWED UP FOR AROUND OF 15 MINUTES OR LESS, GAVE US A LOT OF WORK TO DO AT HOME AND WE NEVER WERE ABLE TO SEE HER AGAIN NO EVEN FOR QUESTIONS. YOU WILL THINK AS A STUDENT IT IS PERFECT BUT IT IS NOT, SHE WAS EVIL TO GRADE JUST LIKE IF SHE HAD TOUGH US VERY WELL. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS TO STUDY FOR REAL THAT PAY BACK YOUR MONEY INVESTMENT, I FOUND A GOOD ONE AND IT IS NOT BALL STATE.
If you go to BSU and are looking for the best housing, look at Varsity House. I loved my time there and miss it so much!
I graduated from Ball State in 2009, and despite just one bad GIS professor, this university was amazing in every shape and form.
Great school, have tutors to help students pass all classes with an A/B no Cs' and the tutor goes to all classes with you ... most of all this school make sure ALL students learn, pass, graduate, and explore the world with the knowledge you learned on becoming a GREAT help to society, and the school is 100 years old an has it's on zip code due to the size (2 airport size) of the entire area., the BEST part the school is it's NOT close to any nightclubs, or any night spots for the young ones to go out and party it up. I love it because it's ALL about getting your EDUCATION!!!
Great place to visit great place to meet new friend's
Proud of my alma mater and glad I chose to be a Cardinal! I get to campus as often as I can and attend sporting events on and off campus.
I dont want to go nah
I wish i was old enough to go.
Love the people, from the students to professors. It is troubling how many times they ask me for money, every year I give them $30,000 dollars, and they just keep asking for more after I'm gone. Bathrooms are widely varying in quality, 1 ply toilet paper everywhere, except in the student center.
Chirp chirp
I dropped my hot pocket
This school goes to great lengths to nickel and dime its students. Administration does not care about students. Great professors though.
The most racist and anti-somatic University in the Midwest it's really pathetic the way they treat students there do yourself a favor and don't go to school here they have a rulebook that's over 200 pages long literally.they like to "Conveniently discriminate" meaning excessive disciplinary action usually applied to people of a minority group such as Jews, homosexuals , African-Americans and Latinos.they will trust pass you for the slightest offense if you're Jewish or black! attending the school for 32 days was the worst experience of my life as a Jewish man! There's absolutely no diversity at all! The school is filled with a bunch of ignorant Hicks Who have no knowledge of other cultures besides other people from the country and have no interest in learning about cultures different than their own. I can only continue to pray for socially quality at Ball State but I doubt it will ever happen.I was trespassed from the campus five days after the holiest day of the year Yom Kippur and I doubt that it's a coincidence this school. Did nothing but offend my culture, my heritage, my religion, and everything I stand for and hold most dear in my life!this school at no point made any attempt to accommodate the cultural aspect that is important to me that I have known and cherished my whole life has been passed down from generation to generation in my family for over 3000 years. The school only provides a good experience for white born-again Christians.

I spent a moth here in Ball State University Campus in 2014. I miss both the Professors and students of Ball State University! And it was a good place to live in.
I had not truly grasped the impact that Ball State had on me as a student until I arrived with my daughter for a campus tour a few years back. This school provided me academic foundations, life-lessons, and a true feeling of accomplishment. As my daughter took her tour, then subsequent orientation, prior to becoming a student at BSU, I relived in my mind the many experiences. The school has continued to advance in leaps and bounds since my time there in the early '80s. There have been technological advances since that time that have changed the world exponentially. Ball State has stayed ahead of the curve -- often being the leader in change and adaptation. In many cases, the advances were developed at the school. The education that students can obtain at Ball State today (and in my time there) is one that will give them the roots of any successes they might strive to achieve. The environment, living quarters, dining facilities, and recreation services are some of the best compared to any campus in the mid-west and beyond. In my current work, I have the opportunity to spend time on many campuses. While on these, I often think to myself, "this doesn't hold up to what BSU is offering." My alma mater has given me a great badge of pride to wear. I'm proud that my daughter will soon graduate from this school and hope that she realizes the value of the education and life-experiences that she has gained while there.
Really nice bathrooms
Im going
(Translated by Google) It's a very gorges school. (Original) It's a very gorgues school.
Love it!
I need closure, so here's this. Last year I suffered a severe head injury which put me into a seizure which put me into a coma which put me into a very long recovery. While it's not worth going into here, the pain from a TBI is unlike any pain I've ever experienced.. .. Until I experienced the pain of dealing with the Ball State Business School, Upper-level University staff, and in particular the program director for the Entrepreneurship Program, Matt Marvel. I see posts from this year's ENT program and I feel an intense anxiety for all of them. It is not unlikely that several of them have experienced tremendous, systematic, and hostile unprofessionalism from the program head. I was far from the only person in my class adversely effected by Matt, and I imagine its been the same for these students. My experience with this professor defined a period of personal hell. First I was yelled at for taking too long to respond to an email (which was sent while I was literally in a coma). Then I went to complain (about several things) and found out that a business school staffer had complained about Matt referring to me as "Scott Not-So Ossim" in regards to my accountability. Not that 3rd grade digs cut me too deep, but it was upsetting to know the head of my program was throwing around unwarranted insults in front of other school officials. Then came months of him trying to convince me to drop the program, despite my obvious effort to return. Or telling others that I had missed a large percentage of the semester without explaining that I had also nearly died months earlier. Or just a general, unfounded hatred towards me and others for reasons that remain unclear. I could go on, and this is really "tip of the iceberg" stuff, but suffice it to say I've progressed beyond this chapter and am merely bringing it back up for future students. If you or a loved one is planning on going to the Ball State ENT Program, Don't! So long as this professor is around, anyone near the program is in severe financial and mental jeopardy. Ball State has been incredibly unwilling to handle this glaring staff issue (that so many have brought up) and as such, my pride in my Alma is non-existent. I'm as blessed to have a degree, as I am to be gone from that place. I just wanted to make this public, to take it off my mind and put it on someone else's who might benefit. Thanks for hearing me out. Have a blessed day!
Awesome atmosphere,fun times!
They sound great.
a great place to have a mid-youth crisis and go into debt. within driving distance of not one but two beautiful cemeteries!
Loo
While Ball State has its problems (as do many institutions of higher learning), this campus is inviting, beautiful, and full of friendly people. I'm so thankful I got to spend many years studying what I love from truly passionate professors.
