Good stepping stone for starting college. Cheap tuition, small class sizes, and just about all my teachers were extremely knowledgeable and professional in their classrooms but knew when to be authentic as well. My only complaints are mainly what you'll get on every other college campus. A bad professor here and there, internet goes down a few times a semester, due to the size scheduling especially for non-traditional or full-time students can be difficult. However, overall the professors and administrative staff are polite and eager to help.

I attend CSI's Idaho Falls Campus. It is small, but I like that because the classes have a smaller student count. The tuition is 1/3 of the price of ISU, and there are absolutely no additional fees whatsoever. The professor's and staff are great and the office administration is always ready to help.

Ok school, not really the greatest. Especially the financial aid department. Even when I submit all the forms that they ask for early, the conveniently don't review them until after the day when tuition is due. So every time, for both my wife and I, we have to sign a "loan agreement" and give them a $50 processing fee. It's ridiculous! When I actually can get through on the phone, I get bounced around or just hung up on. So beginning the semester with these kinds of experiences makes it hard to enjoy the rest of the semester.

My College of Southern Idaho experience was a wonderful one. As a non-traditional student, I enjoyed the many courses I took and the professors and teachers who made it possible. I majored in music and know that the music and drama departments offer an excellent program with much individual attention that is lacking in universities and larger schools. CSI gave me the background to be able to go on to earn both a BA and and MS at other schools.

I'm glad my GI Bill paid for my college experience at CSI. I got student discounts on season passes and a free ride to and from Sun Valley and Pomerelle Ski Resort during the winter and spring break. Business Management, Economics and Calculus were my favorite classes. It set me up for success when I transferred to Boise State University to complete my bachelor's degree. Thanks.

Unethical billing practices — I received a bill in the mail for a summer class on the day it was due. Either payment in full was demanded, or a submitted payment plan (with an added $50 fee) was due, or I was to be dropped due to non-payment three days later. I called the billing office to ask why this was acceptable and I was met with a regurgitation of CSI policy about billing for classes. The person on the phone admitted that CSI sent the bills out late. I felt the need to share my experience with the public because I believe it is unethical to expect payment from people hours after notification when more time is usually given. Just an FYI/Buyer Beware for future students considering CSI.

Attended from 2013-2015. Overall enjoyable experience. Smaller classrooms with great professors who care. Never had a problem with financial aid, and lived in the dorms two different semesters. Great library and work out facilities. Quiet, focused environment to complete my two year degree. Paid low tuition for high quality education. Best decision ever made, and in my opinion-- best hidden gem in America.
