The good thing about this school is that they are probably the cheapest school in GA wich means you will get a reasonable refund check back but even with that they are the only school in GA that breaks your money up as if your a kid. Now my problem with the school is i did a acedemic SAP Appeal. And it was denied. I tried to appwal the SAP appeal and it waa still denied. How ever i was hospitalized and i experienced death in the family and other things that was going on the i had supporting documents for. Previous semesters i have had to do a SAP appeal true enough but i thought that if you have death in the family and if you are hospitalized, they are supposed to let you back in school. Those are situations that are uncontrolable and they refused to let me back im school. They SAId i would have to pay out of pocket. On top of them having a new person over financial aide. It just put me in a whole world of depression because i really wanted to get back in school and they just would not bite. Although my fasfa was approved they refuse to let me attend there college using my federal funds. Sorry i drug this out im sure no one read this but if you did thank you. Im now looking for another school to attend because fortunatly my fasfa was approaved and i can attend any college i want. Its just a matter of finding an affordable college, wich im sure i can find anywere. My point is this dont fail classes due to death in the family or hospitalization because they wont let you back in that school period wich is sad

I enjoy the smaller classroom sizes and the hybrid approach they take where a majority of the assignments are completed online. This is a very convenient system for adult learners like myself. I had a pretty awful experience with financial aid. It was genuinely the most unorganized and horrible system known to man. I must say that the staff made up for my wait times of no less than 2 hours each visit. They were pleasant in obviously difficult circumstances and willing to provide as much help as they could. I hope they allocate more resources to the financial aid department in the near future, they are grossly understaffed and need help so they can handle some things via phone and /or email as many of the issues they are presented with can be resolved remotely. They just don't have the man power to check their emails or phone messages and follow up with students. Best wishes

I recently graduated from georgia piedmont tech on marbut rd and i want to say the staff is exceptional ms selina mr p mr hendricks and mr redmon all do a great job teaching techniques r onpoint and everyone hhas there own stance on something but if u will listen they will teach u it was great i would diffently go here if i was training for something ......

Not bad, but professors can be a bit harsh at times.

The worst school ever! I can't believe this is a professional establishment. The lack of communication baffles me!! If you don't go in their face nothing gets accomplished, calling gets you nowhere. They need to hire more staff or have a work study program so students can work and help out. If you're thinking about this school...DON'T

The worst school experience I have ever had. Financial aid never answers the phone and I have to drive 40 minutes to the school and still do not receive any help. I turned in all of my documents required for financial aid a month ago and they are still pending waiting for review so now I cannot start classes and get books and have to wait another semester. When I went up there all the lady said was oh theres nothing we can do like its my fault their staff is slow when processing documents and to pay out of pocket ( uh dont think so). Staff has no sense of concern for students who are trying to continue their education. This school is a joke!

Real life college, it prepares students for real life issues. Bravo to the instructors at GPTC.

Ignored my emails and calls for days. Screwed up my information and then asked for more of it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re compromising it or using my info somewhere without my permission. I have attended this school for two years and this is the year I’m having problems. They lie and steal and don’t even pay their professors correctly, so the professors either have little materials or no materials to work with. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else. This school sucks.

If I could put no stars or a negative I would. My husband attends and it's the most unorganized, unprofessional, riff raff I have ever had to witness someone endure. My husband took the CLEP per an e-mail to test out of English 101, they later informed him, 2 semesters later, that he took the wrong test. He sent the e-mail confirmation and they only apologized and told him he would have to take the correct CLEP. 5 e-mails letter, NO ONE could confirm which CLEP to take, they could only confirm which CLEP it was NOT, so he ended up taking the English 101 class. The professor is a doctor and I believe she purchased her degree or used "Dr." because she likes how it looks. She hasn't graded any of his assignments since early October. She has NOT returned any e-mails since October, BUT it also takes her about 2 weeks to respond for the times she did respond. The web assignments via blackboard have dates from 2016 and 2017 and she won't change them, she said students should look at the syllabus. There are no alerts set for "due" assignments and that's likely because it would take actually WORK to go in an put assignment due dates in. For this to be a technology school where over 75% of their students attend 100% online, it's piss poor how inept they staff seems with actually using the technology to interface with students, support student learning, and engage students. I believe wholeheartedly that this school will lose its accreditation sooner than later. It's sad beyond words the way the school is operating. Sheer incompetency!

This is the worst school even worst than 3rd world countries. The service they give especially the financial aid and advisors. Their time management skill is very bad. They kill my precious time for nothing. They are unhelpful. Bad bad bad woooo..!

I beg whoever reading this message DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT ENROLLED INTO THIS SCHOOL. I don’t even know where to begin to describe all the horrible things I have went through with this school. They are very unorganized, unprofessional and don’t give a dam about you or your concerns. I have been dropped not once but twice due to the staff not doing their jobs. Youre literally in the registration office, financial aide and the advising office for over an hour literally. Nothing ever gets accomplished. They don’t answer calls nor emails. Please please run for your life I cannot wait for the news reporter to reach out to me because I have the biggest story ever waiting for them.

I'm on the fence regarding this school. I have a family friend who completed the Recording Technology AAS degree. The instructors in this major seemed to have less resources compared to other majors . Instructors seemed to turn over a lot . Limited to no internship opportunities were offered. You may want to take your 100 level classes at GSU Perimeter College in Clarkston and transfer over once you research a desired program. I believe they are trying to partner with DeKalb Entertainment Commission. Do your research. I believe they just got a new president recently.

Its a very quiet place. Students aren't making a lot of noise, pants aren't sagging, everyone speaks and are very polite. There are many opportunities here for all ages and abilities. GED, Veterans, high school, those wanting to change careers or gain a certificate or degree in another field. Its peaceful and unrushed here so far. I look forward to my daughter attending in the fall.

Georgia Piedmont is the most unprofessional and unorganized school I have ever attended. I just finished my first semester now the people are telling me I need to provide paperwork that I already provided. They do not have a federal student loans. They are stopping them causing peoole to be forced to drop out. Ridiculous

If you are interested in a community college, look else where. From unprofessional staff to the long waits in the admissions office, academic advisors and financial aid office. I recently returned as a student and signed up for English 1101 class that I never imagined would be combined by two classes. It was very distracting, fire hazard and some people didnt have a seat. In addition to it being uncomfortable almost sitting in the lap of someone you dont know. Just over crowded!!! Finally the classes were split as they should have been from the start after I complained countless of times to the DEAN. However my instructor M. Calhoun is still teaching two classes at the same time therefore shes constantly in and out of the class between both classes. Total disaster and headache! There is absolutely no value from the staff when it comes to the students well being. I practically have to teach myself math due to my math instructors lack of teaching. He advises us to go home and look over the material. During class he talks off subjuct about irrelevant things that dont pertain to him teaching. (Towa. Toussiant) Its clear that he cares more about the check he receives from GPTC than teaching not to mention he says it all the time in class.. "Cut the check." Please reconsider and out way others options before you become just a number in this place. Respectfully, A paying student

Had to withdraw from my class on my FIRST day of class because I missed the drop deadline by 1 day, even though the class did not start until day after the drop period ended. This is resulting in financial aid probation and no refunds. My first day of class I learned I could not miss more than 1 day without failing and them withdrawing me from the course on my behalf. Had I known this going in I would not have wasted 271$ and the potential of losing my financial aid. I would only miss 2.5 classes due to an upcoming and necessary surgery dealing with breast cancer. Being that I’m taking a nursing course, I can see the irony and humor in this incredibly ridiculous scheme. This is a greedy ploy. The CEO has been caught in fraudulent behavior thus the school losing its federal funding. One can no longer receive a Stafford loan for this school and private loans with low interest rates do not loan money to this school either. Though the teachers are amazing, the front desk staff, ie; Registration, is hostile and the information for programs of study is vague.

B**llshit school!!!! They need to lose their accreditation. I'm going to reach out to SACA who is responsible for accreditation to get this school shut down!!! Waste of time! Waste of money! And every trick in the book to take money from people. They purposely misinform students to make them re-pay for tests and certifications they already got. They will act like they are clueless then when you come back to the school asking why you can't get the state license for your certification or why that state agency doesn't have the proof you completed the school, they come up with some bogus answer and tell you that you have to retake the test and pay for it again. They will do this at least twice because this is their way of making money. DO NOT ENROLL IN THIS SCHOOL FOR ANYTHING!!!! NOTHING!!!! GO TO A REAL SCHOOL, WITH REAL TEACHERS!!! Richard Butts and Mr. Johnson of the CDL school need to be fired and never hired anywhere again. As teachers they KNOW all the answers, and they purposely WILL NOT tell you that extending a CDL permit will ERASE your school test results. Yes, ERASE!!! Meaning, no record that you ALREADY TOOK AND PASSED YOUR TEST. You will find out when you go to the DMV to pick up your real license!!! Then guess what?! You have to pay $100 to RETAKE the school test and $100 to RETAKE the state test, THAT YOU ALREADY PAID FOR AND PASSED. Money down the drain because the school is greedy and the employees are incompetent.

Hands down the worse two years of my life.....the most unprofessional school ever....teachers are full of them self despite not teaching anything the staff is nothing but students that actually attend the school and very rude....you call n call and never get an answer and now they have a “call center” to help with calls but they don’t do anything but transfer you back to a line that’s not answering. This school has went all the way down hill they barely have any good professors or professors alone they barely offer any classes to fit your schedule you’ll end up taking classes at more then one college let alone campus....like I said hand downs the worse

For those of you who are thinking about going to this school, do yourself a favor...DON'T. Unfortunately I did not take heed to the reviews and negative comments made on how this school operates, so I'm hopefully to save a life. I wanted to see for myself and gave them a shot, wrong move. I haven't even started classes yet and I'm already having problems in regards to the flow of communication. You literally have to be in their face to get things done. They do not answer the phones so don't bother calling, you literally have to spend the day calling if your trying to reach them. I have emailed them, and they did respond but I still haven't received the feedback I needed in regards to my transcripts. I'm upset with myself for giving this school my $25 app fee and spending money on transcripts when I could have use them for a different school. So with that said save yourself that trouble. I'm going to go with Chattahoochee Tech, at least they answer their phones.

Someone seriously needs to fire the guy in charge of electrical and computer engineering. He doesnt teach anything in that course and causes student to lose their financial aid. This is not okay for honor students. This is ridiculous!! I have never dealt with this behavior and I'm to my last nerve. Financial aid doesn't seem to care and once you have a situation, everyone acts like it's your damn fault. This person doesn't care about their students and puts people in bad financial aid situations. Get him the hell out, I see why the graduation rate is low. Stop hiring instructor s who don't do their job instead avoid students and surf Facebook and Amazon. I'm pissed. He is under investigation and he needs to be terminated. Things might not matter now but it will matter when it comes to losing your job for pretending to be productive. I'm so upset and dissappointed. Everyone else is okay though.

What did I walk into? I was certain, I was walking into a Community College. I felt like I was walking into a Jr. High School. They have lockers, They have students wearing I.D. badges... I.D. BADGES AT A College? Whats next uniforms for the students?. I did received my degree in the medical field, working on my ambulance, I was going for continue education. The Admission department, only had one person working in the office, no type of brochures pertaining to the school etc. I was better looking online vs going to the office. Seriously, I was thinking I was in Jr High.

We are a vendor who recently did a wedding reception in the conference center. I have been in the food business for many years, dealing with a variety of venues and rarely have I had such a negative and unprofessional experience as I did at Georgia Piedmont Technical College's Conference Center. After several emails, I scheduled an appointment with the venue rep to view the facility before the reception date. 24 hours before our meeting the rep called to change the time from 2pm to 10:30am. We had to do some reshuffling, but because of the last minute time change, the wedding coordinator and DJ were not able to make the earlier time. Then the next day, when I arrived to meet the venue rep at 10:30am as she asked, I was told that she was not there and at an out of town meeting. So the last minute time change not only inconvenienced me, the coordinator and the DJ, but no one ever bothered contacting me to tell me that the rep would not be there. One day before the wedding reception, we were told that the venue was making a room available for the vendors to store items overnight for the next day. When I called to confirm this the person I spoke with was not very helpful. She was all but trying to talk me out of bringing items into the room, saying "it might be too small" "she can't be responsible if we bring things that don't fit" "she doesn't have any other rooms available for storage if our items don't fit", etc. I told her that because they double booked the date and insisted on giving us ONE HOUR to set up for 300 PEOPLE, storing some items onsite would be a big help for us to make our bride happy. The woman became upset and told me "WE did not double book anything! It was the BRIDE who signed the contract for an event to start right after a previous event!" But my opinion is, the bride DOES NOT run the facility. So whoever DOES run the facility made a CONSCIOUS CHOICE to book an event KNOWING there would not be enough time for vendors to be ready. I explained to her that no matter what the bride signed, it was not reasonable to poop all over her on her wedding day by making everything run late and then throw your hands up and say: "...but you signed a contract"...what kind of way is that to run a business? The day of the reception was the worst. I arrived at 5pm to find my staff locked off the freight elevator and unable to load food and equipment into the kitchen (which was completely empty and unoccupied) I walked around to the front entrance which was locked, but the florist let me in. So I walk in to find the florist and her staff standing in the lobby looking upset. They told me that when they tried to bring in the floral arrangements, they were rudely told "Y'all might as well turn around and go back down the steps with that. You can't come in until 5:30. The florist explained that since it was almost 90 degrees out side, the arrangements HAD to be brought in or they would wilt. After letting me in, one of the janitorial people walked up to the woman and said "Ma'am we've asked you this before. You need to stop opening the door to let people in!" Then walked away abruptly. Since it was nearly 5:10pm by then and we now had LESS THAN AN HOUR to set up for 300 people, I asked my two staff members to come in to use the restrooms to get changed so that when 5:30 came, we would be ready. Again, the staff refused to even let them in to change in the restrooms (which were unoccupied) and made them stand outside in the afternoon heat. It is clear that this place cares more about its rules than it does about providing SERVICE to its clients. Rules are fine. But sometimes the ability to be flexible is essential...ESPECIALLY FOR A WEDDING!! Besides that, the staff is RUDE and this place's level of professionalism as ABYSMAL and I would NEVER recommend that ANYONE use this facility.

This is school is all about money. I am being billed for classes I never took. I would not recommend this college to no one. The staff is very unprofessional and does not care about the students. The Instructors, of the Early Childhood Care & Education Program, are very knowledgeable. The curriculum and activities are challenging and they're designed to broaden and expand the thought process of the students. I'm always excited to return, after break. This school does not give financial aid loans so unless you have grants you’ll be paying out of pocket. I don’t understand why they don’t let you know things like this from the beginning before enrolling. I seen so many students forced to drop out due to not being able to use their awarded financial aid loans to pay and help complete their education. They also do not offer financial aid or grants for certificate programs at all. To receive any type of financial aid you must be enrolled in a degree/diploma field of study that you’ll need to either pay out of pocket for or have a grant in place to help pay some of your balance. Waste of time.

zinab akelom

The light skin lady who works on the financial aid department is so rude . She also acts mean and racist.her office is from the waiting line to the right. They also billed me many. for a class that I withdrew before classes start. I do not recommend for anyone to this school.

Kwameah Roberts

I graduated in Aug and was told I would get my diploma automatically sent out in October I still havent received it yet. When you call them they make these tickets that no one ever responds to OR they dont answer the phone. The old batalac that sits at the front desk is rude, to bad she is the first face you see when you walk in the building. They say they no longer accept loans. But fafsa probably wont award loans to students attending because there was some funny business going on. There are better schools I wouldnt reccomend attending this one.

They never pickup the phone, never return calls. I went to the campus couple times and never got good answer on anything I ask. Rude and slow employees. Unprofessional. HIRe Responsible people!!! The state department gives u grant to take care of the student's education, not to hire lazy and rude people. I guess this is the example u want to set to ur institution. Tragic!!

I can NEVER get a hold of NOONE. NOONE ever answers the phone and its really discouraging and unprofessional. I've been calling for the past 3 weeks and have yet to speak with anyone. Based on this experience i'm really starting to reconsider attending this school.

This school is very unprofessional and unorganized...especially the financial aid department...I was purged from my classes for two semesters because they claim I was missing a form that was clearly on file when they pulled up my account. They claimed to have called me but never did... They allowed me to take the class the first week after I had worked hard completing assignments and then dropped me and said I would have to reenroll for the fall semester and start over. The financial aid department never answers the phone or returns messages. If I could rate it 0 stars on the professionalism I would.

To anybody that is thinking about attending Georgia Piedmont Technical College please read these reviews and take heed to them because unfortunately I didn't, and had to find out how bad this school is the hard way. I decided to leave Strayer University and come to this school because they were cheaper but I found out this is by far one of the worst technical schools in Ga. I have been trying for the past month to get registered for my classes. I emailed and call one of the registrar's office staff (Debra Barker) on 7/26/18 and didn't get a response until 2 weeks later after I emailed everybody in the registrar's office and included the president on the email. The next morning I got a call from Ms. Blankston with Ms. Barker on speaker phone asking me what was the issue. After Ms. Barker walked out of her office this lady had the nerve to ask me why did I include the president in on the email. (Very unprofessional) if they did their jobs then I wouldn't have sent him an email. She told me that they just needed one more of my previous school transcripts and Corey Parker the director of admissions, would be contacting me. He didn't call me until a week later which was the day before orientation. By that time my transcripts were already on the way. I have an email from parchment proving that they were received by GPTC but when I called later on that week Mr. Parker told me he didn't have them but he would check the registrar's office for them. That was the last time I heard anything from anybody. Today is 8/22/18 and school started on 8/18/18 and I still have not been able to register for my classes. I'm just glad I got to know all of this before I got into any classes. I decided to go back to Strayer which I've never had any problems with them.

GPTC is a fantastic school and like any others has it's struggle areas, but is on the move to perfection. Personal application to ones personal goals will get you through.. I love the instruction and getting to know staff is your key to success. Tony B.

I used to attend this college, let me start off by saying this is a technical college not a community college lol Unless you're into some of the health care programs there i.e.... practical nursing, medical assisting etc... It's a waste of time to attend this college. I mean don't get me wrong it was cool when I first started here but that's because I didn't know the programs they have here are pretty useless and will get you useless degrees that you can't really use. If you're thinking about about getting an IT degree , or business, or anything but healthcare, you better think twice.

This school is terrible. The teachers give out many homework and they dont even explain. I would say it is one of the worst school i know. They have locker. Is this high school or what?

Krisanya Gottshaw

I had high hopes for this institution. But after dealing with admissions and registration I can say how DISAPPOINTED and ANNOYED I am. They lack teerrible skills in dealing with and helping people. I have had enough of their incompetence. I have had theeee WORST experience in trying to be enrolled into this institution. From the many voicemails i have received to how little i have been helped being there in person! I have wasted 2 months going back and forth with the end result being me not enrolled. Personally wouldn't recommend.

Millicent Hollins

Serious staff deficiencies. The Registrar's office received my official college transcripts as verification for a Bachelor's and Master's degree. Nonetheless Piedmont's staff placed me into an associate degree program, and I was taking intro classes as though I never had earned any college degrees. I purchased the books and then discovered luckily the program error. Repeatedly asked for a letter of explanation to give to the book seller to get a credit for returning books. Expect to spend hundreds of dollars for books and online materials. I did not get the letter until Jan 2017. I do not understand why this college permits so much incompetence and prolonged delays. The curriculum, based on the banking model of learning, requires weekly homework assignments and tests, feels more like a public high school than college. Some professors will explain the weekly lessons and others will not. Extraordinary long waits, in student services, financial aid and registrar offices. No cafeteria, only soft drink and snack vending machines. Also, total lack of evening security in the back parking lots. Campus definitely needs a security gate surrounding the back parking areas. Security will give students tickets for parking at night in the front and side faculty lots, but getting a ticket is better than getting assaulted and robbed. One more thing, please do not trust the four and five star reviews. There are over 100 degrees and certificates offered in GPTC and a few students may get to where they want to go with their careers, but the overwhelming majority of students experience GPTC as a nightmare. I have a disability and had to struggle for months to get a parking space near Bldg A. In the morning every handicapped space was occupied, except in the back parking lots. Imagine trying to walk with painful hips and knees uphill with books, two blocks. Horrible experience. Finally, GPTC does not offer an Incomplete grade, so that a student who encounters personal or medical incidence during the semester will have time to finish their coursework. All coursework assignments go through their online Blackboard system, and GPTC will erase Blackboard when the semester closes. So you are totally out of luck, if trying to submit class work one or two days late. Please seriously don't use this training camp for a two year degree because even though it is less expensive the headaches you will experience from the staff mistakes is not worth it.

I transferred here from GA State for the CLT program, this was the worst decision I have made. It's so unorganized, the teachers don't teach you, ex. I had a class the teacher never said anything from start of semester to end. So be ready to teach yourself! I'm just not used to this type of mess. I'm looking for a better school to xfer to for the CLT program. Oh the real issue is they lost the federal student loan program, so if you not financially set don't even do it if you not paying out of pocket or you need more than financial aid offers.

I have attended this school since 2013 and have yet to gain satisfaction from any employee here. They all feel rushed and don't spend enough time prioritizing the needs of the students. I have been on financial aid warning for the past semester due to a fault of the school adding me to a no show list the prior 2 semesters....meaning I showed up to every class and completed the work received grades but the entire time I was considered a no show because I didn't sign in the first week of class. I was told by my professor for psych101 that if I completed the work I would be added to the class list with no issues...but as of August 17th. I'm back at the school completing a sap appeal for the 2nd time this month! First one was completed August 5th in enough time to register for classes and get answer to my status. I am now sitting in a room filled with other students who have been called to do an appeal that I have already completed to avoid this crowd.I have been here since 1000 am and haven't been seen yet! I'm so over this unprofessional school. Can't wait to transfer out the only reason why I am still attending because I don't want to lose my credits.

There is always a disaster with financial aid every term. Staff seems more concerned with their workload than students. Don't go to this school!!!

I have been purged from my classes two semesters in total now. The faculty don't know how to do their job correctly. I wasted alot of time running back and forth submitting documents, then finding out I needed more for my registration and all for nothing. The classes you take don't even teach you anything they feel like high school classes. I would not recommend you involve yourself with these headaches.

It has been a wonderful experience here. The staffs are ready to help, even when I'm thinking of giving up, they are made me believe in myself. If you really mean business, it is a place to be or start from. But of cause a cafeteria is needed asap.

There is a dark Muslim girl working in the student computer lab. She is rude and have a nasty attitude. Please beware of her. She is also a student acting like she own Gptc or married to the president of the school.

I wouldn't have imagined that a school could be so poorly run and staffed. That was until I enrolled at GPTC. The only saving graces so far have been two outstanding professors: Dr. Charlette Brown and Mr. Stephen Peprah. I decided to attend this technical school to raise my GPA and get a degree out of the process so that I may complete my studies at a 4 year school. In the time I have attended, I can understand why the school has such an abysmal retention rate. For starters, the staff is rude at worst, indifferent at best. With students paying tuition there (ultimately their salaries), you would think they would be more willing to help, and do so with a sense of urgency and professionalism. I have only met one staffer there so far (I believe his name is Geordi) who has been pleasant to work with. He goes above and beyond to assist you. As for the rest of the goon squad there... they should consider a change in career. I hear the fast food business is booming. Communication is a foreign concept at this school. Attempting to reach someone there is next to impossible, and no one returns voicemails. People promise to follow up (on the off chance you get in contact with someone) and they never do, prompting you to either make 10000 more follow-up calls, or just go to the school in person pissed off. Sent an e-mail? Flip a coin to determine your chances of receiving a response. My favorite communications gaffe by far has occurred twice this year. One of the other saving graces for this school is the fact they offer classes on Saturdays for the working people who wish to return to school. When you get your syllabi for these courses, they are supposed to detail each Saturday your attendance is expected, which classes will be excused (planned cancellations, such as holidays) and the date range for the semester. Two holidays this year (MLK Holiday and more recently Memorial Day) were observed on Monday (as they always are.) Nowhere on the syllabus does it mention that the Saturday course will be cancelled in observance of the holiday following. Imagine the surprise of students waking up early on Saturday morning to arrive at a school with its doors closed and lights out ready for class that day. For the instance occurring the Saturday before MLK Day, a mass e-mail was sent the day the class was cancelled. For the Saturday before Memorial Day, there was NO ADVANCED NOTICE WHATSOEVER. Even the instructor wasn't notified. The Dean and the President both should be slapped 9,999 times for the appalling way this school is run. They should be flogged for the despicable way their staff treats their students. They should be placed before a firing squad for their flagrant disregard to the needs of their students. If you plan on attending a technical school, please do your research. Find a reputable, solid school in which to invest your time, money and future. Pass this abortion by.

This school is horrible. I am actually investigating further complaining with the Board of Education and the Better Business Bureau. I brought my nephew in for a GED test with a temporary governmental state issue ID and the lady caused a HUGE problem. My nephew had already tested twice with the same temp state ID. I explained this to them, called the DMV for them to speak and verify the ID, but the lady did not want to be helpful. You could tell that at that point she just wanted to be spiteful. The staff who administer the accuplacer verified the info and felt bad for my nephew for the lady's conduct. I took him the same day somewhere else and he tested with no issues. This school is garbage. Unprofessional staff that can't even keep up with requirements of testing.

This school only accepts financial aid, it does not accept student loans anymore. The staff communication is horrible. Everytime I have to deal with this school I feel like Nene Leakes when she said "The ghetto!!" It's just the severe lack of knowledge, nothing works. BannerWeb stopped working for months during registration and the staff basically shrugged and said they didn't know You try to get in contact with someone by phone, email, Facebook, carrier pigeon and they take just about 6-8 weeks to respond to your inquiry. They really need to update their intranet. Like yesterday. You would try and use the resources but the website wouldn't work. Not good if you take online/hybrid classes You go to try and get advised and they either are late, don't show up, or tell you to come back and this is even if you made an appointment I've also seen some staff members be really rude to certain types of people. I get the impression that if you are not a well put together, middle class presenting American person they don't like you. Not all staff, but I've seen this enough to comment. All in all.... Just no

For the longest time, I thought highly of this school until I became a student. This has been a terrible college experience for me. I’m not the type of person to complain but It’s important that people know what this school is doing before you waste your time and money. 1st. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WHEN YOU REGISTER FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE SCHOOL AUTOMATICALLY CHARGES YOU OUT-OF-STATE TUITION. Please go and Check your records now to make sure you’re not being charged DOUBLE! (they are trying to scam people this is a Community College 80% of the people attending this school been living a GA all their lives!) 2nd. They Throw you in classes that you’re bound to fail. For Example, Certain courses shouldn’t be taught for Summer School. I completely understand that Summer School is short but, the school should also take that into consideration when allowing you to select scheduling classes. Some courses aren’t fit for summer school due to all the information you have to learn in that short period of time. They are not looking out for our best interest. 3rd. The staff is very rude and dismissive. Most of their employees (not the professors) don’t like or want to do their jobs and you can tell! They treat the students like we are incompetent! When it’s really the opposite. This School has potential to strive and do well but they will not do so with employees like that.

Honestly not sure what’s causing the low ratings although some things could be done better in certain aspects like phone calls are directed to an out of canpus answering system and these people are not on campus and do not provide accurate information at all. For everything you’d need to come on campus and get done. I’m giving 5 stars because of the tutors. Mr Kibret (for math) and Mr Harrisson (for chemistry) are the best part of this entire ordeal. They truly explain things to you in a way you can master your classes. Some professors overwhelm you with work while some are laid back and just expect work to be done by a certain day. Affordable classes if you’re paying out of pocket.

Horribly unprofessional school, especially the staff!!! As a high school drop out, I pursued getting my GED. After enrolling in the school, I found out that no faculty was sure about any of my questions, and all got attitudes! What's worse? Many of them are GPTC STUDENTS THEMSELVES!! On my first night of classes the math x science teacher (MR.TOWA) sexually harassed me, followed me outside, and let me know he does drugs on the WEEKENDS!!!? DO THEY NOT DO BACK GROUND CHECKS?!! When I then filed the complaint, it took days for someone to contact me back, and in the meantime, Mr. Towa would try to talk to me in the hallways and show me a paper with MY NUMBER, CONTACT EMAIL, AND ADDRESS!!! Then, and ONLY THEN did they ask me to write a statement about my encounters. It took weeks, but they managed to fire him. Knew I should have just stayed home
