Avoid! Beware, this is NOT an accredited school which is required to be able to sit for board exams, especially for medical imaging, i.e. xray and ultrasound techs, without which you can’t get a job. Academic fraud is the norm, as students are allowed to forge signatures on competency checklists so they can stay in school (even graduate) so that the school can continue to get paid.

Marcus was the person who recruited me to this school. This fool made sure i came to class everyday and always checked up on me, definitely one of the best people there.

Cece Verdier

My best advice to you would be stay far away from the school. My full name is Chyd Verdier and I am currently a student there. Everything is all good when you first signed up for the program but is soon as they got you locked in then all hell broke loose. No one in this building seems to be consistent. There’s always new faces works in the building, The creditors that fund the school, Stops by to see what’s going on and ask questions to the instructors in sometime to the students and everybody seem to put on a show for them when it’s all a lie.Trust and believe me when I say they are not all about helping their students. Everything is money to them. Oh and please do not get injured while you are still on externship because they’re not covering you, when by law they supposed to have some type of coverage for their students when an accident happens. Your best bet is to go to con core medical school or Valencia. I’m not mad I’m just very disappointed on how they treat their students.

American College is the best choice that I could have made when I enrolled. The staff are very friendly and seem to care about your education.

mariangela domiguez

My only teacher was Mr. Selby, he was the best always on time, had good explanations, for me he was an inspiration, he had so much creativity to teach us. Their staff is good well wen i was there it was a good staff always happy, always helping us, some people say is a bad college but the thing is if you don’t want to study always you are going to find something to talk bad about.

Run from this school! This school is fraudulent and misleading. They have problems keeping staff including program deans among dozens of other issues. The sonography program is full of holes. They lost their accreditation, that should tell you all you need to know. Do not go here!

Danielle Smith

This school is so unorganized book never ready the instructors don't get back to you with emails at all they just want your money this school cost way over too much that you can go to Valencia for way cheaper. I wish I knew way before but when I looked up the school it didn't have no reviews at all so I took the chance to go. Seem like a good school, but its not at all. Whatever you do don't go. I'm currently attending now and so many regrets will not referred no one here everyone complains trust me plus another thing this school is not promised to be a accredited for the program they can't promise that it will be at all so when Graduation comes God knows what will happen take this serious trust me. Only thing people here are some what nice not everyone.

Melissa Sosa

All the bad reviews are 1,000% accurate. In fact, I can swear that the good reviews are probably made up by the school employees. There is absolutely nothing good to say about this school. I wish I would've believe this reviews prior to signing in. I am not going to go into details cause I will not know where to start. All I can say is that this school have been the biggest mistake I have ever made. From start to finish to say that is the biggest disappointment is an under-statement.

Alyssa Koteles

As a recent graduate from the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program I highly recommend this school! My instructor Ms. Nagar was incredible and enthusiastic. The clinicial coordinator for the program Ms. Vooheris is very hands on. The program director Ms. Tomblin is so helpful as well. The online lectures and on campus labs were exactly what I needed! Such a great experience! Most of the girls in my class including myself graduated with a job offer!

Please Please Please Do Your Research and READ the reviews before attending this school ! ! ! I came back August 2016 to start a second career choice and honestly was the worst choice I've ever made coming back. I would've rather went to Valencia Community College instead of wasting my TIME and MONEY at this school. No communication what so ever. When you first walk in the front desk lady just stares at you , You're not greeted or asked if you need help or anything. Smh I HIGHLY don't recommend this school. NO organization, NO communication, and NOT friendly AT ALL!! Oh did I say No Organization??!

Be Aware of the staff Mr.Ricard and Mr. Marcus are the most unprofessional mean I ever met in my life. They will draw you in this school selling you dreams about how great this school. But in reality they are only money hungry. Without the students this school will not thrive. He is my story....I called the school because I want to be withdrawn. Because I feel like it would not be worth it at the end paying a large amount of debt to make 15.00 and hour. Mr. Rich called my phone In a angry tone and told me I’m not making any sense and what I’m Doing is stupid. He also said he is scared for me and feel bad for me. When I came to this school I was very personal and told Mr.Richard my situation at home with my mom. During the phone call he said I feel bad for you you will continue to live with your mom for the rest of your life and will not amount to anything and then hung up the phone in my face. This is unprofessional and as an African American woman I should not be spoken to or put down by a Man of color. Another thing when I first spoke to someone from this school Mr. Marcus was very unprofessional using phrase like “MA” like I was his home girl from the streets. If you value respect do not come to this school

I haven't even started school yet and for the two months leading to my orientation I called on multiple occasions and they said that the medical billing and coding program night classes were from Tuesday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. which would perfectly work around my work schedule well lo and behold on the day of my orientation I was told that it was Monday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. now that wouldn't have been a big deal except for the fact I need to work 4 days a week in order to keep my bills paid for. And what made it worse os that no one had told me that it changed last minute and the fact that you're changing an entire curriculum schedule last minute and not telling the 6 students in the class about it is laziness on the schools part. Especially when I talk to my schools councelor 2 days before orientation. What made it worse is that when I told them that I needed a job for Monday mornings cuz my job didn't have any Monday morning shifts available the person in charge of finding jobs for the students said that I had to call her early afternoon today (Saturday the 25th) after I had told her I would be sleeping cuz I work night shifts on fridays and don't even go to bed until 6am. All in all they gave me a very bad first impression and I haven't even started yet.

I would not not recommend anyone to go to this school!! They was great in the admission process and the first few months was ok, btw I LOVED my teacher Mr. Craft but towards the ending of my program all types of hell broke loose. The management is so unorganized every one keeps telling you something different. The personnel keeps leaving that alone should tell you something is wrong with management. :/ Careers Service keep saying they will help you get a job but if you don't keep calling and harassing them they don't even call you or help you. I've finish the M.A program in Oct 2017 and still haven't got a job as a M.A yet! after harassing them she ( I won't mention her name)left a voicemail on a Friday to tell me I had an interview on the following Monday with no information, no regards that I have another job that I am currently at, which I would not be able to go to this interview at a short notice. Giving her the benefit of the doubt and so badly wanting to go on the interview I tried several times to contact her Friday so I could make provisions with my current job so that I could go to the interview on Monday, well long story short I didn't get in contact with her and on Monday morning she send me the information which I didn't get to go because of my work schedule NO CONSIDERATION! Still trying to go to the interview I asked her if she could call the facility and ask them if I could come later on my lunch break, her response was I will ask, up to now I haven't heard anything back from her!!! I am so over the administration in that school!!!!

I would not have gone anywhere else for my Respiratory Program. Mr. Smith, Mrs. Rios, Ms. Curtis are amazing professors. I feel completely prepared to take on the NBRC and its all because of the helpfulness and willingness to help of the school. Of course it was expensive, but its an investment. Hybrid program was awesome !

Marsha Monique

In regards to the post made by Kurtisha Brown. American College for Medical Careers does not offer a Nursing program. You may have schools mixed up.

Carla Petit

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. This school is GARBAGE. Their instructors are not professional. My little sister is currently in the medical assistant program. She told me an Instructor lowered her grade to a "C" just because she wasn't satisfied about the class. Don't come to this school, it's a joke plus the instructors. It's a waste of time and money.

Natasha Mack

is the best potion to study you have a lot of support from the instructors and most of all the classes are very well explained are small groups which allows the instructor to dedicate time to each student

So my friend went to this school she didn't like it, They are so unorganized, she used to complain to me all the time but I was trying to finish school And the school it's very close to me I decided to go check them out. Listen this school is a scam! I went there to sign up for a program, it says that they have it on their website but when I went there I asked them they couldn't tell me that they don't offer it, this dude in the office tried to convince me to take something else and pretend that it's part of the program that I wanted. You could tell something is off from talking to the front administrative office to the guy in his office, he made me so uncomfortable kept on lying about programs they clearly don't offer but listed on their website but pretend that they do just to get your money. Plus this school is wayyyy too expensive. Orlando tech offer the programs 3 times Cheaper. He lied so much About everything I couldn't wait to leave his office. I Do not recommend this school.

Worst college to ever go to ! They force you to attend the college one ..throw all kinda things at you say you can do this and it take a little bit of time and throw papers for u to sigh and later tell u ..something else. Or it’s something completely different in the class or whn u start the skool ...the building is falling apart. The only teacher there that is good is Mrs Ruiz . Last now I have to pay back money to them for no reason because they did not tell me all the information I needed. There are very disorganized and they do not handle situation properly . I would not recommend anybody to go there sorry .you guy need to close or get it together. It’s about people’s education not ur money hungry .

They're deceptive all the way, not sure where even to begin no matter what it must be noted. Initially when i went in for the DMS program i was told that in order for me to do that program i MUST take the medical assisting program first. NEVER HAVE I EVER heard of that in any other school, but for some reason it was a requirement there only to later find out even though i knew it was fishy at first, that it was nothing more than an assurance of financial gain for their schools. straight b.s, aside from that i was guaranteed by the stink breath man whose name i forgot, he stated that he can guarantee me through some ferpa i think its called, that he can get my transcripts from my previous school since that was a deal breaker for me because without those transcripts i would have to take classes iv'e already taken. Because i had a balance with my previous school i couldn't get those transcripts on my own which meant that it would have been a deal breaker for me to attend. So with his yuk mouth promises i decided to enroll and 5 months later checked back with him about my transcripts and he stated that unless i payed the school my balance that they would not release them. Which i had already known that, but he made it seem as though he had pull out the azz to get those official transcripts. I found myself months later being taken advantage of by signing up for a program i didn't even want and being stuck with a financial aid bill far above what my pockets and mind could comprehend. I ended up withdrawing only to be harassed by staff members whom iv'e barely ever came in contact with to get me to return. I changed my number and by the grace of GOD heard nothing back from them since. These private institutions are nothing more than small corporate scams. These are one of the biggest scams that exist in this country to date as they seek out young impressionable individuals who only want something great for themselves and because the government provides these students with funding, its the most sneakiest and opportunistic areas they go after. Their all snakes every last one of these private institutions are snakes. take your time and don't rush what is required, go to a community or a public local college and earn your degrees there. otherwise you loose alot more than money, you loose time and credits as well, seeing as how upper level colleges do not recognize the credits given from these fake colleges.

I did the medical assistant program and graduated. I am now working with Orlando Health Physican Associates. This school helps you out if you really show interest in getting it done. They could be a little more organized with things & add more security! Maybe stickers on the cars to know who's truly parked there and brighter street lights! But other than that just do the work, take the tests, and study. You might have to go through obstacles with your job & family but know that your goal is to finish & get into a great career you just have to keep pushing forward. Ask for help when you need help!

Yaret Rivera

The only reason I put one star is because there is no option to give 0 stars. This school is the worst decision I have ever made and I make bad decisions on a daily basis. Do NOT come to this school. IT IS GARBAGE!!

Daniel Cotten

I have been bamboozled by these people .They promised me a job upon graduation and knew I was 74 years old and knew no one hires anyone my age. Don't fall for their scams like I did! By the way, I did"n give it a five star rating above.

Labimmer fullymoney

Don't weist u money because they lies to the people and at the end they don't care about you

I DID NOT WRITE THIS REVIEW, I WAS TRYING TO APPLY TO THE COLLEGE UNTIL I STUMBLED UPON THIS, PLEASE READ!! Please read this review before you make ANY decisions to attend ACC. It is for your own benefit, I promise. This school is full of false promises, horrible clinical sites and general overall lies and betrayal. If I could go back in time and undo going here, I would in a heartbeat. So much happened in my 20 months at American Career College, I can barely think where to begin. Upon signing up, here are a couple things we are told: 1 - The school tuition costs include EVERYTHING you will need from start to finish, INCLUDING NCLEX exam (this is listed clearly in the student handbook as well, but we will get to that disaster later). 2 - The school is available to help you with anything you need. 3 - The school has amazing clinical sites picked out where we will get in field, hands on experience. Lies, lies and more lies. Lets begin! I begin registering for the NCLEX and I get to the payment page, so I look on my letter for my code for the school to cover the cost (Like we were told from day 1), and there’s nothing! So I called my term 3 teacher, who is now the schools ADON, and he said that the school does NOT pay for Nclex! I was shocked and befuddled completely, because like I said since term 1, we were told otherwise. I presented my concerns to him, and he then changed the story. He said, “Well, there is a stipulation. The school will pay for your NCLEX IF you attend all review sessions (after having already graduating and passing HESI exit) and you get a 60% or higher on Ms.Ina’s practice exams and she feels you’re ready”. I was like, excuse me? I graduated already, I passed my HESI first try, I am ready. I shouldn’t have to take another exam to prove myself AGAIN, when I don’t even go to the school anymore. He suggested I speak with Ms. Ina and Dr. ** (the schools director). Lo and behold I emailed Ms. Ina and left a voicemail and didn’t hear back till she emailed me a day later basically ignoring all my concerns and telling me to speak to Dr. **. Dr. ** at least pretended to hear me out. He stated he would look at my grades and get back to me. Being I am a straight A student that passed all my exams with flying colors, I assumed it was a case by case basis and he would get back to me with the code. However, he then proceeded to tell me that this is not the case and what is listed in the paperwork is that the school pays the registration fee of $150. I explained to him yes, that IS in the paperwork, right above where it says the school covers the $200 for NCLEX. I even screenshotted the paperwork and sent it to him. He then proceeded to state all paperwork had been revised and he began to list ALL of the conditions in which the student must complete, in order for the school to pay for the Nclex; NONE of which we were EVER informed of!!! NONE of which are listed in our paperwork. Completely just made up rules so they don’t have to give us what they promised us. All we were informed of was the “45 day rule” which he claims he never even heard of!!! It seems that the administration just makes up rules as they please in this school. I was told by Dr. ** that he would bring my case to the “Executive director” of the school, so I waited 2 days to hear back from him. When I finally reached back out to him, it sounded like he had zero intentions of calling me back, and just gave me the same BS runaround. The administration of this school is just a nightmare to deal with overall, and they don’t give a damn about their students at ALL. All they care about is getting you to sign up, getting your money, and then they completely push you aside along with ANY concerns you bring to their attention. It’s a scam. It’s a lie. Its all about the money. Do yourself a HUGE favor and go elsewhere. Even if it means being on a 2 year waiting list at a college. If you have any questions feel free to ask me and I’d be glad to talk to you!
