My wife, being an architect, made sure we drove to see this chapel while on our vacation in Colorado this week. I didn’t know anything about it, but wow, I was amazed! The exterior is amazing on its own, but the interior was doubly beautiful. The stained glass almost looked like neon lights inside when looking up at the ceiling. There are plenty of people there to answer any questions and give you a brief history as well. There is also another chapel below this one that is quite lovely as well. You have to go back outside and go under the steps that lead to the main chapel. There is another door there that leads to it. The other chapels are not accessible to visitors. There is also a hiking trail just beyond the parking lot that leads to a visitors center and restaurant.

Beautiful chapel. Modern and unique. The location is quite hidden, so don't fret you will find it, but go early because it might cost you time to see the inside. The side of the chapel is cool because the air and vents makes a musical or a humming sound. Seeing from the front door, the chapel looks like the Air Force logo. One interesting sight was the students. They run along the edges of the sidewalk, very funny to see. Aim High America!

I didn't even know we could visit here. We came to Denver and visited a friend in CO Springs. She suggested we see it. Actually the whole tour was great. Very historic. The Chapel is really a marvel. Build in 1963. It is open to the public. Just show your ID to the guard and you can go to the visitors center. From there a nice short hike takes you to the chapel. Amazing architecture. The organ inside is amazing. Totally worth going if you have a couple hours.

I brought 3 families to see this incredible sight, and because of guard @ the shack we were turned away. . . I hope you know I am great full for your service, but you have to remember who pays you to be there, and how much revenue you turned away. I’ve been excited to have the hoodie I couldn’t afford on a previous trip, and still do not Own.

This is truly a must see if you are in Colorado Springs. The Air Force Academy grounds are stunning and the Chapel is breathtaking, and truly glows. Worth a stop during their visiting hours. One of my favorite places on earth! ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful architecture and use of stained glass. Don't miss the Catholic chapel downstairs or the Jewish Temple around the other side. All have unique pieces. Come around 11:30am and see the 4000 cadet march!

Was told to visit this place from a local Coloradan. After looking at the photos online I thought it’d be a place I’d like to visit. I have to say I’m not disappointed to have visited. The architecture of the cathedral is really incredible.The other structures in the area are nice as well. You don’t have to be a religious person to take in the beauty of this place. I really like the juxtaposition of Mother Nature in the background with amazing human made structures in the foreground.
