Classes in the Grad School of Education provide practical information relevant to the classroom. They have a library that is always open, and a number of relevant focus areas for today's teachers. However, they're overrun with bureaucratic drivel removing students from their program multiple semesters in, due to their own clerical oversights during admission and have had people other than the professor run classes. The syllabus and rubrics wont always match up and you'll be denied a grade. Dont ever expect to get the benefit of the doubt, and never delude yourself into thinking anyone there cares whether or not you are successful. You will hit wall after wall with them unless you are the quintessential student without any outside responsibilities or any interference from real life. In short, it is a decent program as long as you don't expect to matter as a human being or a teacher.

Great school. Dedicated teachers and supporting staff. Well rounded, rigorous education, tons of resources for seeking minds. Thanks to Touro my dream became a reality. I would not wish for anything more.

A benefit of this place find outstanding professors and good education. Tuition is not bad. This university is a growing university that deserves good reputations, but has dragged down by poor admin, HR, Dept Chair. Academic affair and chair make the whole procedure slowed down and dysfunctional. They keep getting deficits from under-enrollement and have a few million deficits from COM academic affairs and do not take responsibility. They sacrifice well run programs and the fund does not come back. Very low salary. San Francisco's poverty limit is $117K and I believe most are below the poverty level. Non-compliance is coming back, past officer who got paid, did nothing and is still on safety committee. They just come to where the money is. Admin and dept chair support those people. They punish faculty who makes the university compliant. They use faculty as cheap labor. The university has warm culture and nice. Faculty and students work together and emphasize the culture, but stained by COM pre-clinical office never functions properly. Each time, they make easy arrangement very difficult. They focus on negatives and humiliate students. It hurts students taking much longer to recover. Staff is subpar. On the better side, some are very talented to fix the issues. They are willing to do extra duties for nothing and burn out. They are here for students and teaching. Good for students are curriculum here is still functional and better than other med schools but academic affairs keep messing it up. Standing ovation but students do not do well is not teaching. It has flagrant and bizarre academics and professionalism. They do not give resources, weakens faculty and say get the grant. I was sick taking off and right after HR sent a mass massage saying you may be kicked out when taking off for this or that. dept chair messed paperwork that costs me $8,000, and continues to mess it up. he gave a duty, so I cancelled arrangement and apologized others, then after months said "you do not need to do this". they found compensation with it and gave it to another person. I take pride of the job but not doing it for compensation! Do you know a short notice cost me a few hundreds? each time I arrange a baby-sitter. They squeeze salary and smash the pride. The university has nationally recognized professors that can give insights to the whole university. They are the ones that give reputation and lead the university. This place must seriously consider updating dept chair. it comes with stipend and stays for many many years creating cylo-like culture not following policy and regulations. chair must represent department, but not somebody just staying. can be a rising star or solid scholar but the reality is mismanagement gets deficits and does not bring resources. I am paying for resources. my travel fund is sacrificed by other's very expensive travels. more work for the same job. Program never on time and reducing compensation, micro-manages fund. Those are major problems with academic affairs. Sadly, similar goes to some researchers who are extremely hostile and blame others for their faults. They spilled something nasty in the lab, did not clean it up, and blame the university. They did not do paperwork for years and blame others who fix the problem. They demand more teaching for job security when they lose the grant. It is THEM who make trouble but they call it professionalism of others. They come as a group but professionalism is not how many say it. That applies to admin as well we need professionalism standards. COP got rid of research dean and they complain they need research this and that. tech keeps breaking down after upgrades. paperwork is kept messed up. new vending machines keep eating money. scheduling is a whole mess. budget is poorly managed. orders take forever. admin is in the way. when you are in a trouble, find professors with happy students. they will fight for you. They should focus on retention and focus on something nice.

I applied for six schools to continue my education seeking an MBA and I must say Touro University was the best hands down. Kim Strickler was there each and every time I had a question and ensured the transition was painless. I am excited to say I will be an upcoming graduate of such a dedicated school and continuing my education at a place that truly cares for their students. Make this an easy choice if looking at potential schools. I did, why don't you?
