(Translated by Google) I went to Los Angeles to meet my old friend and visited for a long time. Many of the famous car designers have graduated from this university, which is an art university that puts emphasis on car design to the point that "A.C.C.D is car design." The location is Pasadena, located on the mountain side of Los Angeles, and becomes a high-class residential area (feels like Seijo).
If you drive about 30 minutes from downtown and climb a green hill, you will see a school building like a monotone museum. Because the total number of students is small, the site and school building are not very large, but the level of enhancement of facilities is wonderful. It is possible to freely use machines and abundant tools that create original parts designed with various materials.
There are no restaurants in the surrounding area, so there are plenty of shops and cafeterias.
Some of the ACCD car design departments work for automakers, but there are people who retire or take leave for study, and the challenges are really difficult. I am full of students who are always at school this week, but I think this is normal because I go to school with a purpose.
If you want to be active as a car designer in the future, we recommend that you visit the school once. It will surely be a good stimulus!
