My father, my brother, and myself all attended MMI. I can honestly say that I owe everything I have to this school. Not only did it set me up for success in the military, but it also prepared me for the real world. The faculty and staff truly care about each cadet, which is reflected in everything they do.
Though it's a junior college, MMI focuses on graduates obtaining a Bachelor's degree, long after their Associate's. Personally, I don't know of many colleges that offer that kind of attention. One thing this school does really well is challenge each cadet. The challenges range anywhere from drill and ceremony to room inspections. The corps of cadets is very unique in the sense that the corps is responsible for the daily operations. Simply put, they run the school. For some this is a challenge that they're not up too, but for the ones who are eager to learn, it pays off in the end. This school prides itself in producing strong leaders for society.
To be honest, its not an easy school. The classes are challenging, and the corps is held to a high standard, a lot higher than their peers. It teaches time management, chivalry, networking, conflict management, integrity, honor, health and wellness, humility, and above all, how to follow, and ultimately lead. With that being said, all things in life worth having are earned. I'm proud to say I earned my degree from MMI, and someday I'll be proud to send my kids there.
