Really tasty coffee drinks and good food. The only thing I could say I didn't like was that it felt kinda cramped. It's a small space and they fit a lot of people in there! It's clearly a popular place. There was nowhere to stand or sit that wasn't in someone's way somehow.

Indie Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in Madison by far. Their drip coffee is the best in town! The house coffee has a very distinctive flavor - it's very smooth and rich, and nothing else I've found compares to it. They have yummy waffles and pastries, and to top it off, the staff is friendly.

Coffee - amazing, probably the best almond milk latte I’ve had in Madison. I inhaled the entire thing in under a minute. Food - not as great and takes a long time. Also, while they have gluten free food they mixed up orders and gave me a regular bagel which makes me wary to order food there again.

Dear Indie Coffee, after reading your rave reviews, this is not what I'd expect from a cappuccino. I know oat milk doesn't froth as well, but an artless white mass served in a cold mug with a drip down the side? That said, it is very pleasing coffee in flavor, neither burnt nor too acidic, even if not warm enough and unfortunate to look at. UPDATE. After I wrote the above review, and received your very wonderfully sweet response below, I rescind my original measly few stars. I should have spoken up at the time. Thank you for responding, and it is fabulous to hear of your drink guarantee! It warms my heart that you read these reviews and care so much. Cheers to you!

Independent local coffee shop featuring waffles discounted on Waffle Wednesday. I Ask for the "red and white waffle extra whip hold the maple syrup". Great service. I mistimed my visit once and had to run; barista ably packaged my waffle to go with no fuss.

Love this place! The staff is excellent, proportions are awesome, and the coffee always comes out creamy and delicious. I have yet to order something that I don't love. I suggest a salad if you want the most bang for your buck and a sandwich if you want something to indulge in. I haven't tried their waffles but their dessert drinks have always come out perfectly! They never rush it but somehow they are still fast. Whatever flavor they describe the drink to be it comes out as such, not just a lump of sugar like some flavored drinks!

Interesting retro ambience in this coffee place. There was a lag with the service from the staff, probably because of the rush hours. The pancakes taste good although not the best but still worth it. I highly recommend the Focaccia sandwiches, beautifully grilled and has a perfect blend of condiments to the protein. Definitely a one time visit. We ordered the Work waffles and the Cheesy focaccia sandwich.

If you're in the mood for something sweet, get their waffles. They're fantastic! I really like the ones made with chocolate batter. They also know how to make their cappuccinos dry. It does get crowded here sometimes, but there's a good reason for that!

Stellar spot - worth the hype! The latte was on point, balanced, foamed well, good pour. The golden milk latte was perfect and the fig spread sandwich was stunning. Would return here any day. Also the place itself is quite charming for a college coffee shop.

Great coffee and great service. My only big complaint is that it's a little cramped space-wise. I grabbed a chai and planned on reading, but it definitely was loud and I had to kind of squeeze into a corner. The chai was great and I would be very down to try some food next time, but I wouldn't want to bring a friend to chat because of the space. But if you plan on dropping by to just pick something up and go I'd highly recommend the place altogether. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

Indie Coffee is a great coffeehouse with a chill atmosphere and has very friendly and helpful staff. The decor is cute and cozy; however, it is great for groups as well as working on a laptop. The coffee is delicious and the waffle was mouthwatering good (got the original buttermilk and was very happy with my choice). I look forward to coming back to try more drink options and see what else I enjoy on the food menu. I'd highly recommend this coffeehouse.

Expect to have good coffee here, but not a good place to sit and get comfortable. Indie Coffee has a lovely vintage feel complete with assorted ceramic cups. The space however feels cramped and the seating is mostly stiff chairs.

I ordered an iced dirty chai and there was so little ice it was still warm and andi all melted, also she frothed the milk and made foam on top for some reason??? Clearly had no idea what she was doing and wasn't able to get it fixed because my Uber arrived. Very disappointed because i used to come here all the time and never had such a simple drink get so messed up. Not to mention I had to throw out a 7$ coffee.

I do like the atmosphere here, really hip with thick wooden tables for small and big groups. The tables near big window have a lot of sunlight and give cozy feeling. The food here look pretty good, and the staffs are friendly. BUT I cannot recommend cappuccino here as it is not cappuccino with too much milk and bubble foam.

I like this quaint coffee shop on Regent street. Their Honey Fig + Goat Cheese Sandwich is amazing, though a little expensive. I love the waffles with Walnuts and Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce. They are pretty popular and are really busy whenever I go there. Overall I would definitely recommend this coffee shop for their waffles and sandwiches.

Fantastic! We both got waffles and had the iced chai and the Mayan spiced mocha. The waffles were delicious and drinks excellent. Service was also fast and friendly, bringing your orders to your table. They don't collect empty dishes and glasses though. When finished, leave your plates, glasses, amd trash at the counter between the kitchen and bar. The place was cozy and had lots of old cameras lying around. For those interested, they have a fenced-in outdoor patio in the back as well as bathrooms.
