"No soup for you!" Might work on Seinfeld in the heart of New York City, but in WI I expect a little love and respect :) Was meeting a client for lunch in their beautiful cafe, but was asked to step outside when I received a call on my cell. Also, you aren't allowed to plug your electronic device into their highly prized electricity (all outlets have childproof plugs which compliment the sign disallowing you to steal their power). Why don't you simply charge another nickel for your sandwich and don't be so disrespectful to your customers? The pizza place next door served as an excellent alternative. I was happy to take my business elsewhere.

Nicely decorated. Ordered the Spinach and Garlic Quiche and it was heated unevenly obviously from the microwave. I thought it had mushrooms on top of it but instead it was garlic cloves. There were at least 6 cloves on my piece of Quiche. Felt a little sick that night.

Service and atmosphere is great; the food is overpriced for what you receive - both lunch and breakfast. I selected a brisket sandwich. This $9 sandwich came with no sides (no pickle, chips, fries, or veggies, etc). I think if one is going to charge so much for the item alone, it ought to come w/ a full filling meal (Sorry Fat Cat, one orange slice doesn't count)

While in town for a wedding, I had the pleasure of stopping by this cafe not once, but twice. I couldn't resist making a second stop here after my great first experience! On my first visit, I stopped in on an afternoon coffee and sweet tooth run, and ordered a small chai latte and a blueberry-lavender white chocolate scone. I sat inside close to the register, and enjoyed my fare before heading out for some shopping. The decor is simple and well done, and everything was very clean and organized. Chai Latte - Perfection. Lightly sweet and perfectly spiced, this drink was a winner. +A Blueberry-Lavender White Chocolate Scone - This was an impulse buy, because it just looked THAT good. And let me tell you, it was worth every penny. It was light and soft, with the perfect balance of sweet from the chocolate, tart from the blueberry, and earthy from the lavender. They even warmed it up for me, which was the icing on the cake. GREAT. On our second visit, our whole group of 9 stopped in for breakfast on Sunday before leaving town. We were able to find enough room for our little group on the upper level of the cafe, and we all ordered a variety of breakfast foods, from crab and artichoke quiche to burritos, to avocado toast. Everyone loved their food, and they were all impressed that such a little cafe packed so much flavor into their dishes. If you are in New Glarus, Fat Cat Coffee Works is worth the stop!

5 stars for the pie alone. Some days, you just need a piece of pie to go with your coffee, and Fat Cat provided. The coffee shop side is a neat, eclectic, cozy space. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town or swinging through on a visit to the New Glarus brewery.

We ate there recently and had the crab and artichoke quiche and roasted red pepper soup. They both were excellent, in fact the quiche was probably the best I have ever had. The crust on it was so delicious. They are very nice and have lots of delicious desserts. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often!!

We always make sure to make a stop at Fat Cat anytime we are around the area. Everything is divine, their baked goods, PIES, and coffee are out of this world. We have grabbed breakfast before and that is delicious as well!

Certainly a good place for a cup of coffee, and a very nice breakfast menu. A bit heavy on the hipster feel, but at 7:30 in the morning, the warm and quiet atmosphere is perfect.

Very nice place with friendly staff. Got a pound of coffee and they ground it up for us without hesitation. Lots of sweet treats to choose from or if you want you can sit and have a great meal. I look forward to my next trip to New Glarus so we can eat there.

The veggie breakfast sandwich and burrito were both excellent. Nitro cold brew was delicious and strong. Interior / design of this place is cute. I have seldom been treated so rudely. If I could rate this 1/2 or no stars, I would. And if you want to sit and visit, forget it! They would rather you buy what you want, eat or drink it and get out. And don't even think of plugging something in. The few outlets are blocked as a sign tells you not to "charge" any devices. One group was told they had been sitting too long and should leave. You would be better off to go to Belleville's Lingonberry Llama or Monticello's Morning Mug both of which welcome you, including plugin for your electronics and have wonderful coffee, good food. By the way, I am a New Glarus resident and many NG residents avoid Fat Cat these days for these reasons.

Not impressed. Plugged my laptop in to do a little work. Was asked to unplug everything because too many people like to use electricity on Saturday mornings. It was Wednesday and no one was there. I ordered a large coffee and was going to order food. No deal. I picked up my stuff and left. I won't be back! It's not that great, typical coffee shop.

I'm a Wisconsin foodie, and I will say: Amazing place to eat or have a coffee! I did not expect the variety of food and beverages when I walked into this charming place. I had to take some time to look over the menu, and I was given all the time I needed, absolutely no rush. Food ranges from quiche to cupcakes, sandwiches in between. I had a heaping helping of warm apple pie, warmed up and topped with whipped cream! I also had a vegetarian option sandwich that was artichoke and hummus with veggies. Wonderful! There were several of meat sandwiches and other options available, so I'm sure you'll find something you'd like. I had a smoothie, but again, the range is so vast that you won't be stuck picking your head trying to settle for something. The portions are great! Not a little nibble like almost every coffee shop I've ever been to; I am a decent portion eater, and I had my fill! The cost is what to expect with quality food, so I wouldn't say overpriced. On par for the meal! This is more of a home cafe feel!!! Very lovely people working, and the ambiance is warm and relaxing. There is a patio with plenty of sun, and the part of town is such an easy place to stroll to, from anywhere in new Glarus! Right on the bike trail What more can I say, I'd rate this more than 5 if I could! P.S. I have eaten here several times now, and I am always finding new choices, and they are all delicious! I always have a hard time choosing! On the weekends, you can get an egg breakfast!

The food and drinks are fantastic, the workers are super nice, and I love the ambiance. Lots of open seating, very warm and inviting decor. But there is almost no wifi connection, and thats when there is hardly anyone in the cafe. Half of the time, wifi automatically mooches off of neighboring businesses because of how poor the connection is at the cafe, which I think is unprofessional, and could easily be improved with a better internet plan. Also, I'm sure the owner of the business has great qualities, but he comes across as grumpy to the staff and customers, so I think the he could work on that. I think these two areas would improve customer experience, but otherwise I love the place :)
