Locally roasted beans, and quaint atmosphere combine for a perfect small coffee shop feel. The house coffee is French pressed for that hearty mouth feel. The shop also sells a decent vinyl records collection in the lower sitting room.

Great place to visit. Kind of like hanging out at a friend's basement circa 1970's. Complete with a Six million dollar man pinball machine... unplugged. I ordered a house blend. My daughter ordered a cold brew. These will definitely wake you up in the morning. The basement area is where you can go to sit, includes an area where you can browse through available LPS. They also have 45 available for sale! It's a mixed bag of brand new vinyl and old vinyl. Very reasonable prices for both the coffee and the vinyl. Adorning the walls in the basement, are boxes of yet to be catalogued LPS. They are for looking at only, they are not for sale. So if you're looking for a great cup of coffee, and if you'd like to look over some old vinyl from the 50s 60s and 70s, then look no further. Hopscotch coffee is the place for you. It is very chill.

My woman and I stopped by (she wanted coffee, I wanted records). They had a decent collection to browse and fair prices (found a record store day exclusive still sealed $2 cheaper than anywhere online) which made my day! She loved the coffee! 1 thing bothered me, the large shelf of records that says something like "not for sale yet". I guess they want to look them up and research them before slapping a price tag on them which makes sense but it is also frustrating because all i could think is what gems are hidden in there!

Truly Winchester's hidden gem of a coffee shop. I almost hate to bring attention to it for fear it will turn loud and busy. However it's coffee I can feel good about drinking. With locally sourced milk/cream and beans roasted on site in a building that supports local artists as well. Just an overall unique and amazing place.

Fantastic coffee shop. This is an experience that I've never seen in Winchester! I'm typically pretty snobby when it comes to coffee and tea, and Hopscotch had me more than surprised. Pour overs were VERY reasonably priced ($2.75) along with everything else. Great selection of single origins and teas; I went with two friends and was able to try three different single origins (Brazil, Ethiopian, and Bali) along with a tea blend (turmeric and ginger). VERY good coffee and well presented in custom mugs! Atmosphere was also fantastic and had plenty of seating. They also have a section of the store dedicated to records, which has a great number of local bands! Great prices, great selection, and very clean and organized. Employees were very kind as well. Would highly recommend to anyone! 5/5 stars time and time again--this is what Winchester has needed!

I absolutely love this place- and I’m not even that crazy about coffee. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid back and the staff are always friendly. They have a pretty impressive record collection and there’s always good music playing in the background. They usually have some cookies or muffins from Bonnie Blue to munch on. Why in Gods name anyone would go to Starbucks in this town is beyond me.

I like seeing how hopscotch continues to evolve into a solid small town coffee shop. When they first opened I was not a fan of their coffee as it was as if I was drinking a lemon. VERY UNPLEASANT. Now I have been seeing and tasting their pursuit of allowing the coffee bean to come out the way it should. I look forward to seeing and tasting their continued evolution. On the flip side, their price and value of a pour over is pretty over priced. You are looking to spend close to 4 bucks on a 10-12 oz cup of coffee. I have been to higher end coffee shops in NYC and DC areas and they don't have pricing like this.

I'm sure it's great for the market they are trying to attract. We didn't care for the taste of the coffee but the staff was very friendly and we were impressed with their use of fresh farm milk and the barista explained how they get it delivered and return the empty bottles to be used again.

Incredibly disappointed in this coffee shop!!! The owner and employees were audibly cussing, while customers were trying to study/read. The music was extremely load and distracted from a calm coffee-shop atmosphere. I have had positive experiences beforehand, however, will not be back due to the unprofessionalism of the employees. It is important to treat your customers with respect if you would like repeat customers.

Love this place. I used to go every weekend but haven't had time lately and I miss it a lot. Their espresso and pourovers are great. I can't speak for the milk drinks since I've never had one but all the baristas here seem very knowledgeable and talented so I'm sure they are good. The croissants they serve are delicious as well. Grab a bag to brew at home too!

Your prices are totally to high compared to all the other coffee shops and especially Starbucks, who specialize in coffee and other vintage drinks! If your prices weren't so high I'd come back because I'd rather give my money to small businesses versus the big brand chains, Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

First time here, and no doubt we are stopping through every time we drive by on our I-81 road trip routes. Super cute space with amazing coffee. Just the way the good Lord intended. Great variety of beans to purchase, roasted in house. Coffee is lovingly crafted. Lattes poured with care. I asked for no foam...barista slowly and carefully poured the warmed milk so there was no need to scoop foam out like they do at so many chain coffee houses. And the flavor of that simple latte... caramel notes and nutty sweetness. I fell in love.

When I stepped inside in the The Hopscotch coffee shop I was greeted by one of the owners serving coffee. I was struck by the cozy and approachable coffee shop vibe with the record store in the next room and the lounge around back that includes the roasting equipment in the corner. The owner was happy to describe Hopscotch's business - a slice of small-business Americana fueled by by a great cup of Joe and a simple, honest approach.

The music was very, very loud. When a customer tried to turn down the music, the owner yelled at that customer and was very rude. Also the owner sat there yelling and cussing and made for a very bad environment. Previously, I have had very good experiences at Hopscotch, but after this visit I will not be back.
