Lovely little coffee shop about 5 minutes off the main street in Front Royal that's totally worth the detour. Great selection of coffees and pastries, also sells cold brew and grinds beans. The furniture in the dining area is unique and handmade by a local carpenter, just beautiful.

This was my second visit since it opened. The first time I just had coffee, and ended up pouring it out. This time we ordered the Veggie panini ($8.50) and the Pizza. ($9.50) While everything was very tasty, we were still hungry when we left. The portion sizes were very small. I realize GF is pricier, but I did not feel that this was a good value. The sandwiches are also pre-made, and soggy. The barista did offer to replace it before handing it to us...but if your product is questionable even by your standards, perhaps you should fix it BEFORE serving.

A great place to come and hang out with friends or to work. Lots of space and it's very cozy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. On in inside you can see them roasting their coffee beans which of course smells amazing, but is just super cool to see! The staff are really nice too and super helpful!

My go-to java joint in Front Royal. Nice quality coffee in a renovated store house. Staff was extremely friendly. Cups were biodegradeable which was a huge bonus. Make sure to ask for your rewards card to be... you'll be back!

Very cozy joint in Front Royal with some seriously bangin' beans that are roasted in-house. The espresso I got had some delightfully sweet citrus notes and was perfectly smooth. Definitely recommend giving it a try. I can't speak for the food, but if it's as good as the coffee, it's probably fantastic.

Great coffee and tea with a warm and welcoming environment. The kind of place you can hang out for a while and enjoy your caffeine in peace. Has the charm that large coffee chains lack. This is the most pretentious, over priced coffee shop I've been to, even more so than Starbucks. The service was terrible. I stood and waited while 2 workers talked and didn't even look at me and one cashier/barista made roughly 5 coffees at once. I left with cold coffee and will never be going back.

I can't believe that I am just discovering this place. I was always under the impression that I would have to go to the DC area to get good coffee. But, this place has all the coffees and teas that cafes in the DC area have, and then some. These guys have any elaborate menu with tea and coffee concepts that I never even knew existed. The coffee is full of flavor, never acidic, and the service and expertise is always top notch. They are also a completely gluten free shop and have a really nice set of baked goods, and a Greek yogurt and oatmeal bar with lots of toppings. I would recommend this coffee shop to any coffee or tea lover.

Everything great... Only place I could find a latte macchiato outside of Europe. The breakfast sandwiches were amazing. Gluten free cookies were also scrumptious. Our only issue is that the fact that they used almond flour for both sandwiches and cookies was not advertised. Good thing we asked before our daughter with the tree nut allergy tried the molasses cookie!

I'm so happy we found this coffee shop on our way to Shenandoah! Their Valencia drink (pictured) is delicious! They also got coffee from various places including Colombia and El Salvador. Their food is savory too. The atmosphere is quaint and their customer service is superb! This is a must stop by place is you want to delight your tastebuds!

Rode by on my bike Sunday and saw that they were open for business....I have been watching these folks work on their building all summer long.....I loved the fact that they did not paint over Patricia Woodrow's art on the outside wall..." The Not so National Zoo" painting.....They have also made some great chairs and tables from left over wood pallets....the whole place is rustic chic with a really good vibe.....I ordered a cup of coffee to go....The man preparing my hand brewed shade grown coffee was an expert .....he knows his coffee like a wine expert knows wine...the coffee was as expected: fruity ,bold and not bitter at all....no need for cream with this brew, but old habits are hard to break. All the coffees are roasted on the premises and are Fair Traded, Shade grown, which makes this amateur Ornithologist very happy....They also have an oatmeal and yogurt bar, all organic and Vegan friendly.....Stop by for a cup of great coffee and get an education as to why Shade Grown is the only coffee we all should be drinking......the Birds will love you for it...Welcome to town!!....

Worst people ever. If you’re foreigner and have small accent DO NOT visit this place. Racist, rude and greedy staff! I will never ever will visit this place again.

Very flavorful coffee aromas...stopped in with local pro cyclist, Joe Dombrowski, on a ride and had a great cup of coffee and tasty pastries. They served them in mugs which are either right handed or left handed as the mugs are curved higher towards the nose to enhance the experience. We got a chance to see them roasting coffee beans and educating us on the process. I would highly recommend this coffee shop for a great cup of coffee and were very welcoming.

Found this out of the way coffee shop. Tucked backed in an older building that gives it a cozy look from the outside. When I went in was greeted by a smiling face right away even though she was already help a couple of other customers. She offered a couple of different blends of their coffee did I could pick from and they grind the beans and made the coffee right then. The place looks a little small Until you realize there's a walkway into a whole nother room that's larger has tables to sit at and work if you would like. They have Wi-Fi available. And there is also a large roaster that is roasting beans why you sit there and drink your coffee. They have a variety of snack foods and sandwiches that you can pick from. I would definitely recommend stopping by and give him this place a try. Whether you need to grab a cup to go, have time to relax and enjoy coffee or tea, or you need some coffee while you're working!

Very rude staff. As soon as we walked in the staff looked at us and didn't say anything. No "hello" or "how can we help you". We were the only people there. When we were finally approached and ordered coffee another couple walked in and the staff treated them the same way. The other couple looked around and walked out. Don't blame them. Coffee was okay.

The place has been rusticated in its decor to the point of cliche, and even leads one to question its cleanliness. There's a regular coffee shop on the main street that is much more user friendly

If you can't stand Starbucks burnt coffee, then you'll love Happy Creek Coffee and Tea. We stop through on our way north to visit family, and this is always a stop for us. Amazing pour overs using their own roasts, a yogurt and granola bar, delicious muffins, and free WiFi are just a few things we love about this authentic coffee shop.

The espresso drinks are great in quality, but the service is sometimes hit or miss. It often takes longer than it should for the drink orders to be processed. They serve gluten free snacks to go with the coffee, which is great for those who are gluten intolerant, but I have not found their brownies, cookies, etc. to be particularly tasty. The atmosphere is unique for a coffee shop: the room with the tables has almost no natural lighting. The atmosphere is fun for a first experience, and some people really love it, but I prefer places with more windows myself.

Very friendly staff, easy to talk with and generally pleasant. Coffee prices are somewhat on the more expensive side but taste great. Definitely worth the money if you are looking for a good cup of coffee or tea and sit down with friends for a while. However, the food was outrageously expensive given the size of the portions. Lunch items are no less than $9.50 for a very small tray of stale chips from a bag and a sandwich no larger than the diameter of your fist. The quality of the food was good but nowhere near its listed price. I ordered a Cuban sandwich which was actually just a plain waffle with ham and swiss. No pickle or pulled pork. Overall it was a disappointing food choice. Bottom line I'd recommend this place for its drink selections. Avoid the food.

This really is a shop more concerned with culture than coffee. Do not waste your money, there are many good roasters out there and who charge much less. I would rather have instant coffee than the kind i had here! I had mexican decaf and it tasted strongly of ammonia..My fiances cup was more decent, guatemalan but the flavor profile was totally off. I receive perfect coffee at lamplighter in Richmond, for nearly half the price. This shop has absolutely nothing to boast about.

Love love love this place! Enjoyed it all summer to fuel up for a day on the river or a hike! Or enjoy a sandwich with my dog outside! Today was super disappointing! I dont have a problem waiting and had been for a while but it got extreme-all folks waited on but me, no acknowledgement, no eye contact, and then the gal goes about chating away with a patron friend! I didn't check time until more people came in....they eventually walked away. After I checked time and then another 10min-actual time- I interrupted her friend chat and asked if she could take my order. She says I'll do that in a few minutes...I left without my favorite tea :( Lousy service - not to mention the whole bad vibe snot attitude from the chick :(

Coffee is amazing. The wait and the fact that there is literally one person at a time running the operation the last few times I've been here are a HUGE negative. There is literally no quick in and out. I sat behind a group of women who wouldn't stop talking to order and wouldn't move, made eye contact with barista who also wouldn't tell them to order or move. I'm not being nasty but people have stuff to do and if you want to catch the people who have to work and be somewhere. YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE BEHIND THE BAR.

My favorite place in Front Royal for coffee. Each inch of this old building is adorned in something hand crafted, creating an eclectic feel that goes hand in hand with the pour overs and lattes.

A really cozy place in the middle of the town. They have quite a good selection of food and drinks. Probably the best Panini I've had over the past year (I ate two in a single sitting) and the hot chocolate was absolutely delicious! The ambience and the courteous staff made it worth the visit.
