REVIEWS OF The Stonehouse Cafe IN Washington

Ben Slivka

Lovely spot for breakfast or lunch on a sunny day. Beers on tap (I had an IPA), small but careful menu (I had roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and honey, and fish and chips).

Kristin Hilley

Breakfast food was very good. We were seated and served very quickly. Bloody Mary was very heavy on the horseradish, but the waitress was kind when I didn’t drink it and removed it from the bill. Good environment with great view.

Oscar Alvarez

Worth every penny! We ordered eggs Benedict and the beef hash, both were very tasty and it hit the spot. Portions are generous a just the right amount. Maya our server paid a lot of attention to us and even took the time to tell us a bit about the site history. The place was an old town gas station and it has been preserved very well. The style decor is unique, a fusion of modern lighting, industrial shop elements, and NW flare. There is outside sitting overlooking Lake Washington.

Nikki Jameson

The food was amazing but the service was a little slow. I would definitely go back. :)

Robert Pitt

literally the worst service i have ever had. the woman waiting on me kept demanding i pay the check after everything i ordered, ask me questions every two minutes and kept threatening to call the manager all while severely invading my personal space. I have never not tipped before, this will be a first.

Joe Brown

The food is wonderful, and the prices are reasonable.

Bri OConnell

This was my favorite brunch spot!!! Over the past months food quality went down a lot. For example, I ordered roasted veggie salad and veggies had little black food particles as if it was cooked in a pan that wasn’t cleaned well. great atmosphere and building, but I won’t be returning. :(

T.D. Womack

Great location on a clear day and excellent food. They also have a bakery to satisfy your sweet tooth. Good for brunch, lunch or dinner - full bar and also an event area and nice landscaping area for outdoor gatherings.

Shawnee Kasanke

I went to the one in SEATAC airport after it moved into what was once the Alaska Lounge (which was great). Service and atmosphere were horrible. I paid $17.00 for tacos that could have been gotten from Taco Bell. The waitress didn’t even ask what side I wanted and gave me dry corn chips with no salsa. She had a talcum powder liability infomercial on the tv and told me and other customers at the bar she was too busy to turn the channel. She barely acknowledged her customers bantering with other staff members instead. Such a waste of money and time and a shame that this place has turned into this.

Cheryl Tellinghuisen

People were very friendly. I ordered a waffle and was the best I ever had

Steve Girisgen

Terrible service. Waited an hour for our food. It came out incorrect. Our waitress could care less if the food was incorrect or brought out timely. Our waitress was not friendly or caring. It is quite unfortunate but we will not return and would advise others to use caution.

Sharon Sexter

Ok...I get it it's the airport. But the Rainer breakfast was not worth the effort it took to eat it. Eggs were made like McDonald's formed in some sort of patty. They were cold and so was the bacon. Ridiculous!

James H

Service just OK, food good and bad. May have lost some of it's original zest. Limited parking, but good views.

Kathy Bannister Sanders

The SeaTac location is horrible. Slow service, grumpy staff. The food is microwaved. Portions very small. I pray we do not get sick on our evening flight. DO NOT eat here!!!

nate holland

Amazing food in a really cool venue. The staff is great and very attentive.

Joshua Leacock

Good. Wholesome food in a relaxing atmosphere cozy place

Bonnie Gustafson

Food is great..fun atmosphere, larger outdoor seating, inside, kinda squishy. Parking limited. We will go again!! Coffee menu..

John Watson

Cozy and unique. Nice folks working there.

Jullia Kim

Such a cute place with great food.

Molly Gregory

This place is so cute and romantic!!! Their food was amazing their bloody Marys were even better! The service was incredible! Might be one of my favorite restaurants I've ever been to.

shiloh cicero

Reading alot of posts about the poor service. I agree. Sar immediately and received water and menus. Slow business time, 3 servers, and a manager walked around us for 10 minutes. One rolling silverware. Finally got the new girl. Bartender sent wine instead of the red headed margarita??? Onion rings took 15 minutes. But were amazing!!!! I would come again for the food. But go straight to the manager next time with complaints. Considering emailing the owner. Its are second time, same horrible service.

Molly Hegenderfer

Wait time is crazy busy....pay attention to the busy times. They are accurate! Will have to come back another time. Menu looks promising

Hill Hilliard

Very eclectic vintage diner. Great food & drinks. Fabulous view!!!

Jeff Malek

Food and drinks are pretty good, service is pretty good, but their hours are ridiculous. Would love to be able to dependably go here, but they're never open when needed.

Robert Welzel

Disgusting. They should warn you that the only breakfast food that they have in microwave fare. Biscuits and gravy almost gagged me. This was the SeaTac location.

Damaris Pearson

Chicken &waffles good

Seda Harutyunyan

Such a great and cute place! The view of the lake is amazing! I love that they serve breakfast all day! Their menu is small and to the point. The ingredients are SO fresh, everything that I've ate there so far is just delicious! The staff is super friendly and nice. This spot is a locals favorite and has a very chill vibe.

Clare Megathlin

Great brunch. Service was a little slow but food was excellent and location is lovely.

Greg Bilsland

The Stonehouse Cafe is a quaint little restaurant along Rainier and one of the only places in this neighborhood to go out for a nice brunch. The restaurant has a rustic interior and delicious food. The menu is a bit on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for. The patio affords a nice view of Lake Washington. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during busy times, so it's a good idea to park along Rainier.

Jeff Crowl

My Maple old fashioned way delightful. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. Solid five stars.

James Mendoza

Great place for food comfort food, and prices are quite reasonable for what you get. Staff can be a bit shorthanded at times, but they get the job done.

stephen jones

I love these ever since an old friend made them for us, but I find it hard to find in the stores. Naturally, I had to try this place. I was not disappointed. Tried a sweet and a savory trumpet...the maple cream butter and the ham and english cheese. Both were great. Only issue is to check the days they're open. Make sure they're open the day you're down there.

Jeremy Santiano

Loved the poutine. Reminds me of what they serve in Canada. The Adobo chicken wings was great! Wife loves them. Portions pretty good too. Wished we came here sooner.

Kim Christodoulou

Great food! It took a little long to make but made up for it in taste, cute, Quaint, great liece of history. I recommend going.

Nichelle Page

We LOVE this place! Even on rainy days it has great views. Food is always delicious and hot on delivery to your table. I keep trying news things and adding new favorites. The egg bake with salmon is my new favorite. Biscuits n sausage gravy and The heater are both mouthwatering.

Michael Hutchinson

Great food and views!

Nick Reagan

HORRIFIC BURGER and BLAND SCAMPI. Went on 25 May 2018 around 530pm and took until 6:15pm to get food. I went with my wife trying this hard to get to place for the first time and was very hungry, could not wait to try. I ordered the Farmhouse Burger, meduim for temp. Wife ordered the Scampi. I have never seen nor tasted such a gross offense against burgers in my whole life. The "meat" patty was flavorless, and had been drudged through a grease trap and smashed into the lower patty. The lettuce was slimy and gross looking. Can someone maliciously make a burger not edible on purpose? I have found that here without question. I also am certain I got food poisoning from the few bites I took as I removed the bottom bun & Lettuce and tried to enjoy it anyways. I could only do 2 small bites of the upper layers left before I just could not eat it anymore. IT WAS THE GROSSEST made burger I have ever seen and tasted. This is not okay, and not worth the price at all. Wifes scampi was very bland, she said it tasted like it came from a microwave. I think the Chef should be fired as they are obviously not trainable, the WA Health Department needs to stop by this place, and I think this is the most honest review of Stonehouse Cafe yet. I will not be back. I will of course tell friends to avoid at all costs, and others about this experience. There was also bugs in my water I had to scrape out with a spoon, probably attracted by poorly stored food in the kitchen.

Bernadette Rogers

View was amazing. We sat outside. Food was fantastic. The waitress was the nicest person ever. Lattes and chai were delish. Atmosphere was awesome, inside and out. Highly recommend

Ruben Lozano

Great burger!

Ed James

Great food, great surroundings and quick efficient service... we will be back...

Mark Hancheroff

We dropped by for dinner, the location is out of the way, but worth the short drive. It's a converted old gas station with a view of Lake Washington. The food is what I would call home style or Roadhouse . The Cobb salad and chicken dumplings were amazing. They also have crab fries, but those are with Blue Crab, and just ok. Great beers here, we are planning to return to try breakfast.

Cathy Wendt

We were so excited that this place opened..really cute.. didn't care for the potatoes they serve with everything so won't be going back.

Dean Martin

My wife and I just ate breakfast at The Stonehouse Cafe, OMG! The chicken and waffles were amazing! Our lattes were spot on, the atmosphere was fantastically fun! The staff was wonderfully friendly and attentive. Just can't say enough great things about The Stonehouse Cafe!

Mike Cagley

We stopped here for breakfast on a whim when we were out and about and were excited to try a new breakfast place. The service was good, although the server did not know what a Belgian waffle is, even though that is what they serve. For the price I thought the food would be better, it was ok for a breakfast, nothing to write home about. It is pricey even for Seattle. View was fantastic.

Gabriela Rodiles

Loved this place! Perfect for a date or brunch with friends

Jeannie Blakley

Breakfast is "Off-the-Hook"! Absolutely the best chicken fried steak I have ever had!

Jeannie Williams

Excellent food and has a nice meeting room upstairs.

L W

I've eaten here 4 times now. The first two times were good experiences. The food was good, the service was quick and efficient. On my 3rd visit, last Tuesday, our server was inattentive, forgetful, and unapologetic. She misunderstood my order causing my and my daughter's meal to come out wrong and incomplete, and made no effort to rectify it when I pointed this out. I ended up paying for food items I never received. I came back a few days later and spoke to the manager about it and he apologized for the experience but seemed pretty passive about it all. We stayed for lunch, but the meal was disappointing. I'm pretty sure my daughter's chicken tenders were straight out of a bag and there was moldy fruit in my cousin's fruit bowl and hair in her salad. They did replace her food and comp it though. I really liked this place when I first visited - the atmosphere is nice, I love that they serve breakfast all day - but after two back-to-back bad experiences, I don't think I'll gamble on a 5th visit.

David Pinkham

Nice place! Good food and friendly staff! Drive by here alot been meaning to stop in. Glad I did! Will come back here again! I would recommend this place to my friends! Need to come back when the weather is warmer and try the outside dinning! Would be a nice place to reserve for a private party!

Rebecca Haas

Staff was really attentive and nice. Not too disruptive of our talk at the table but helpful with menu and beverage choices. Right there when you wanted him. Salads we had were very good and huge!

Prassi Flattwin

Fantastic food, great service, superb view to Lake Washington.

Sarah Benoit

Location was great. View was outstanding. Building and history were fabulous. Menu was odd. Food was good but nothing to write home about. Service was mediocre.

J L

Not sure what happend to this place but it's not as great as it once was.

Djea K LaFée

Adorable, unique. Well - priced and high quality

Joel Guevara

It was Too busy to even get a drink..when I was there..

Donna Herrera

Service here SUCKS. This is just a job attitude.

Ireth Waverly

Went here a couple weeks ago for brunch. They weren't very busy, but we still waited over an hour for our food after ordering, which came stone cold and made one of our group sick. We asked for the check and then finally gave up when it took another 25 minutes, went to the front and requested to just pay since our checks never came. The waitress we had was rude and the food was not only cold, but one of us received an incorrect order and the whole thing was vastly over-priced. Would not recommend.

Marco Mallamo

Great food, and drinks. Very cool view.

Vanessa McHargue

My husband and I are regulars here. I try to have something different every time I visit and every time the food is absolutely delicious. They make good strong drinks and have very friendly staff.

Adam de Boor

Ended up getting a biscuit sandwich when I ordered biscuit and gravy, but not like that was a bad thing. Not salty, Yea, but bread on my sweetie crispy chicken sandwich was strangely salty. Home fries just crispy enough, and yummy bakery attached.

Maj-Britt Haack

We walked in today and wanted to have lunch on the patio. We drove all the way from Ballard to try out this place, but then got rejected at the entrance. Because I brought my puppy. A baby, about 10lbs and super sweet and calm. I was asked if it is a service dog, i didn't want to lie so I was honest and said no it's just a baby dog. Then we were told to leave, because 'people could be allergic and it's not very sanitary'... Oh of course, if it were a service dog you wouldn't mind and no one would be allergic to that. I do understand the background, reasons to not allow dogs inside cafes - but outside? Really? I had read reviews online (yelp and bringfido) before driving here, and lots of people review this as a dog friendly cafe, and wrote how nice it was to sit in the patio with their dogs. Well, bummer! This place might be nice if you don't bring a dog, but super unfriendly to us today, both waiters were not capable of smiling, both looked angry/annoyed enough to not even make us consider to dine there ever. Thanks for nothing. And for letting other people eat here with their dogs in the past, but not me. How unsympathetic, how discriminating, how absolutely not friendly. Just close the place if you earn enough money without customers. Oh and another one of your guests came up to me and apologized and said that he doesn't approve that kind of treatment either. So you lost more than one good eater today.

Amanda Bailey

We had a great experience at The Stonehouse Cafe. The service was quick and the food was delicious.

Danah A.

Nice spot, good food.

Evan Barratt

The breakfast here is amazing. Ive had some pretty good eggs benedict in my day, but this place takes the cake.

Irene Kung

Quaint little place. I really like that their baker is so enthusiastic about making baked goods. He’s good.

Sabrina Arnold

Amazing eclectic atmosphere.

Nate Murillo-Oaks

Great atmosphere. Food was good and service was very pleasant.

Andrew F

Great location, great food, in a very unique building. Highly recommend both the bakery and the cafe.

Kim Rashell

You know the food's good when you finished your plate, but wished you could've had everything else that was ordered, too. Fluffy pancakes, brioche french toast two inches thick, chicken-fried steak and gravy from heaven, and eggs Benedict with ham steak cut a half-inch thick. Everything was delicious, we'll definitely be returning.

Julene Bateman

Great food, beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff.

Steven Hillard

Terrific atmosphere, food and service.

Kelly Kim

The food was good but the service was very slow.

Robert Plucinski

Garlic shrimp was awesome, fish and chips was great and portions were huge. Stonehouse itself is a historical gem and has beautiful view out over Lake Washington. Service was top notch...highly recommended.

Jesus See press

My fiance and I got our drinks and food pretty quick and the scenery is beautiful. The Food is delicious and the drinks are as well. This is at the top of our charts in places to eat, quick bites and amazing food quality, and on our second visit they gave my fiance a cute little Mason jar with wine brands on it after telling us they were low on those cups and we could find them on Amazon. The service was great and it is our current number one spot for breakfast and lunch...dinner would be included if their hours reached that far. 100% would suggest anyone to go and at least try it out... I love this place!!!@

Lynda Routh

The worst restaurant at SeaTac. Breakfast burrito was inedible, waiter was in a hurry and the place was empty. He got my drink order wrong. Never saw him again at my table but he was wandering around the whole time.

Sue Graham

Terrible food. Went for mothers day brunch today. Have never had such terrible food at a restaurant. Cannot get over how terrible the food was and what a total waste of money it was. Eggo waffles, powdered mix scrambled eggs, cold syrup. Horrible selection of anything. Bacon soaked in grease. No refills on beverages. Just seriously cannot believe the waste of money. Much better breakfast is served at McDonald's. Would of been better off paying $30 for an egg mcmuffin than the brunch they had at The Stonehouse cafe in Renton. I will never ever go there again and will spread the word.

Dennis Freeman

Waited over 30 minutes to find out our waiter forgot to put in our order. At least he could have comped the coffee.

Dylan

Quaint and rustic restaurant cafe with a well executed menu of diverse comfort food classics. I absolutely loved the chicken dumplings on a rainy afternoon. On the other hand, when it's warm and sunny the patio is a great place to hang out and watch the view of Lake Washington.

Jon Rosselle

I had a great dinner here tonight. The fries in the poutine were crispy, the Reuben was fresh and piping hot, and the iced tea (that I embarrassingly spilled on myself) was fresh brewed! I am looking forward to my next meal here, thanks guys!

michelle dunn

I sat here for a few hours on a 5 hour layover. I'm not sure who that gentleman was at the bar tall short haired gentleman. He handled everything like a pro and delivered great service! Will be back!

Conley Leung

Awesome food and love the lake view!

whatever in our we

Customer Service needs work, food was good

Mathew Wilhelm

I was shocked to get cold syrup. Chicken was fantastic until I hit the hard spots? Waffle was pretty soggy too.

Robert Matson

Came here for Mother’s Day brunch, it was fantastic

jamie steckler

Excellent food, great service and fun atmosphere. The country fried steak was amazing!!!!

Forrest Murphy

Nice views and great service. The decor and atmosphere was a little scattershot. Cozy in some parts, retro pieces, modern touches here and there. The coffee was served extremely hot to the point where I couldn't take a full drink until well after my breakfast finished. Would have been great for a to-go order. I got the breakfast hash. The eggs were an absolute delight as well as the jam for the toast. The meat had some hard gristle in it which was a pain. The potatoes on it we're great but not enough of them.

Amber Lind

The food was delicious! I reccomend the biscuits and gravy. The drinks though (coffee and OJ) were not very good. The orange juice I think was from concentrate and the coffee tasted burned.

Ashley DeCorçey

My alternate breakfast place near my house, when it's too late in the day to go to Vera's. A six minute trek from home. The menu is similar, but different enough to be another animal altogether. With a view of Lake Washington, you're pretty much set for a good time!

Duane Johnson

Was supposed to meet a friend for breakfast. Staff was friendly. Heard about their chicken and waffles, so I decided to give it a try. It was very good.

J Miles

The food and atmosphere were great. My wife had the salmon BLT with sweet potato fries. She relished every bite. I had the best chicken biscuit with home fry potatoes. It was great as well. If you're from the south don't be disappointed with the thinner gravy. It's just different. We shared the ice cream sandwich. It was great, but if they read the reviews, I would make it open face. That would avoid the ice cream seeping out. Great place!

Eyung G

Awesome location and building. Great food too. Excellent service is what too kit over the top. This is my new favorite brunch spot. It offers a rustic building, restaurant, bakery, and cafe. All at reasonable prices. Outdoor seating as well.

Yaier Ron-Rubinstein

Great neighborhood star!

Christian Christian

Chicken & waffle was delicious, wings good, onion rings had greasy batter. Nixe little spot to sit outaide. We will be back.

Skye Gilmore

Good service and delicious food

Hope Brandon

Very cute place with a nice view of the lake, but the service was not good One of the waitresses was just standing around in the dining area eating and drinking. Both of the women that came to our table had an attitude, did not smile, and just sat things down on the table quickly and walked away. At one point, the waitress dropped off my daughter's dinner and walked away quickly (was not busy) and 5 minutes later returned and we were able to point out that it wasn't what my daughter had ordered. The food was good. Nothing exciting, but still good food....if you don't mind it coming with a side of attitude....

Lette Harris

The food and service were awesome.

Jwan Brooks

Love the atmosphere. The cool chairs. Not much room though. First time I've tried chicken and waffles.

Adrian Selley

Great good and a lovely view from your table across the water. Definitely recommend eating here

Ashley Wik

Looks great. Great food. Good coffee.

GUY Rames

Good to the last bite

Jacalyn Brooks

Delicious! Beautiful relaxed atmosphere, wonderful staff and the food was incredible. Can't want to go back

smdrvsrbj

Very nice, interesting decor, but slow service, extremely

Daniel Rhodes

Good menu. The nacho fries were just ok. The roasted brussel sprouts were excellent.

Tom Patten

I was recently at the new location in the SeaTac airport. I stopped in after a three hour flight for a cold beer before catching my connecting flight. The bar tender ignored me for almost 20 mins while I stood at the bar. Many times he made eye contact and for most the time he was speaking with other employees, paying absolutely no attention to the customers waiting for service. Finally when he came over he rudely says find a seat and someone will help you, I politely said I have been sitting and would prefer to stand, I asked for my beer and he says sit to be served, if you didn’t understand the first time. I tried to explain I had been sitting for 3 hours and would prefer to stand at the BAR and he walked off to do more chatting with co-workers. I have never known a worse bartender. The man next to me said he has been waiting 29 mins to get a second drink and that he wished he had gone somewhere else. I let a manager know and left beerless for my next flight. If that place is new it won’t last long with service like that.

Violet Rose

I definitely enjoy this restaurant I bring my mother here often. Usually it’s always great service friendly and polite. The few recent times I’ve been a server Princess is not very friendly and didn’t check on us disappointing

Rob T Lewis

OMG So dang cute! There is a great view of Lake Washington. The food is totally delicious. (I went at 9:30 am for breakfast on a Saturday.) While the main dining area is a little smallish, it is extremely cozy and cute! Again, food is wondeful. I had scrambled eggs, potatoes, chicken sausage, and 1 pancake. I ate EVERYTHING!! (Sorry/Not Sorry there is no picture!) I reccomend to those who want to treat themselves to a nice breakfast (or perhaps a party of two). I will be return!!

Rachel Ray

I sat down at a table and there were several employees walking by. Not one of them bothered to get me a menu nor did they even notice me. I sat at a table that was in clear view of everyone that walked by. I waited awhile and still no one noticed me. One employee was even on her personal cell phone.

Taylor McDonald

I was actually pleasantly surprised about this place. Its in an airport, obviously alcohol and the food is going to be expensive. If you want decent food you are going to have to pay a little more than you typically want. I am not a drinker, but people by me were drinking and seemed to be enjoying it. Service was very good! The restaurant was slammed, but the staff was always very nice and helpful. The nachos were very good! They had a nice taste and the portion size was large. If I am going through SeaTac again I will be sure to stop inside again.

Josh D

Not bad, not great. Presentation was good, but the food itself wasn't at the bar I expected. It's probably worth a trip on a beautiful day for the patio's water view, but I'd skip dining inside.

Keith Watts

Service was merely serviceable. They were not particularly busy but they were about to close so maybe that accounted for it. Still 5 stars because the food was amazing. A wide selection and breakfast all day means almost everyone should be able to find something they love. Parking is a bit of a hassle but again... The food is the thing.

David Yusuf

Truly love the Ambiance and the excellent food

Cheryl Garrett

Love this place! Great history and food, indoor/outside seating, music sometimes - all around a really fun place to eat and hang out.

Phil Dihel

My burger was pretty good, but my girlfriend ordered a wedge salad, received a veggie salad instead. They sent it back and brought the wedge salad after about 5 or 10 mins, but she noticed it had ranch instead of the blue cheese described in the menu, and no blue cheese crumbles. She asked the waitress, who went and asked the cook. Turns out they were out of blue cheese. So instead of telling her and giving her an option, they tried to sneak the ranch in and hope nobody noticed. We've liked this place in the past, but that is just disingenuous. Mistakes happen, and that's understandable, but this was premeditated, and that's a different story. We may not be back for a while. They didn't charge us for the salad, which was the right thing to do, but by then her dinner was ruined so it wasn't much consolation.

Stormy Curtis

Food was great. Service was great. Only reason I don't rate a 5 is because the fish and chips had the shiny part of the skin still on it and it kinda grossed me out.

Brad Jones

I have been here quite a few times. Food is excellent. Bakery is excellent. Have liked everything I've tried here. There is limited free parking. Usually isn't too busy on weekends which is a plus. Would recommend to any one. The service has been a bit of a disappointment lately, which is the only draw back. Wait staff not up to my expectations.

Judith Villanueva

Drip coffee tasted like it's been burnt. I told the waitress and she said "our coffee is strong." I know the difference between strong and burnt because I love strong coffee. She didn't even ask if I wanted something else to drink. She just left our table. Half hour later, she came to told us our order didn't go through and asked for our order again. We received a 20% discount after that. This is the second time that it takes them more than an hour to serve our breakfast.

Narine Harut

It was my first time at this restaurant and I had really enjoyable experience. Place was clean and well-maintained with interesting design, good customer service and delicious food, definitely will be back.

Robin Macke

Great food and great service. Unique decor.

Chiemi Ymk

Interesting interior and nice view. We had a breakfast there. We had smoke salmon sandwiches and Egg Benedict. I wanted to have a soup with the sandwiches but it had to heat up by microwave, I opted to salad. Food were pretty good but the service was slow. There is a parking lot.

Steven Z

Staff was very friendly and the food was great and well priced. Lovely place to eat brunch on the lakeside. The coffee is also good. Only issue was our glasses both had lipstick on them.

Ian McMorran

Cafe recently closed! We walk here for the coffee and pastries, and were redirected to the restaurant. Waited 5 minutes for the staff to acknowledge or presence before asking if we could just get some coffee. Redirected to the bar for more lackluster service. Only 1 pastry left, an oily donut. Not impressed with this experience, normally they are better. Hope the cafe opens again soon.

Lindsay Boeglin

Went around 11 on a Sunday and didn't have to wait for a table, but overall the service was quite slow. There was only one actual waitress for the entire restaurant, and not a very good one at that. I would have accepted them just being understaffed if she'd been amazing and hustling but that was not the case. Once she finally came around to take our orders, she brought my husband regular instead of decaf. We never did get water or coffee refills. Once food was brought we didn't see her again until we were done eating and it was time for the check. The food was pretty good... My brioche French toast was the thickest and fluffiest I've ever had. Husband had the chicken and waffles and it was good but not amazing. The chicken was juicy but the breading was pretty basic and bland. I'd hate to see the parking lot on a really busy day - we had to park across the street and cross, and it's a pretty busy road. In short it was fine but until the service gets better I would not be inclined to go back.

Emily Yun

The fare is decent. I've only had breakfast there and everything was solid. Good coffee. Hearty scrambled eggs. But the ambiance and decor make it a little extra special.

Scott Hinckley

Friendly service, wonderful atmosphere. High quality burger of generous size cooked as I requested. We will definitely be returning.

Jeff Pike

Always a great place to do. Awesome food, great people, and a great view!

Idiot Chris

Took a risk on the nacho fries. With the risk came great reward. Eat the cup of chowder or you're a goof.

Carolyn Fielding

Great location and view of lake Washington . I suggest that you get the Eggs Benedict

Blanca L Ruiz

Food was delicious service was amazing. A big plus (for breakfast lovers) is that breakfast is served all day! Only oops was lipstick on rim of my water cup and it wasn't mine

Rosanna Buckner

Usually love this place, but coffee and food were a major disappointment this time around. Had to tutor the staff on how to make a proper Americano coffee. Meatloaf was bland and greasy. Chicken fried steak a hot mess.

Garrett Hampton

Phenomenal food. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had the biscuits & gravy and a chicken & waffle. Great outdoor seating as well.

Julie Lemmon

Very cute place with relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Excellent food.

Mike Miller

Nice place with a great food selection and a nice upstairs area for large parties or reservations. Their Biscuits and gravy is the best and their staff are nice.

Shawn Jones

I very specifically did a search of the Rainier Beach area looking for a unique breakfast spot that would meet the needs of our out of town group, specifically early to late breakfast and something a child would enjoy eating. I saw the mixed reviews and decided to take a chance anyway figuring you're going to have the A team working the weekend as that's your money maker. Our experience at the cafe really put a damper on our fun weekend gathering instead of giving us a wonderful high note to end the weekend on. The atmosphere is wonderful with a lovely view of the lake and surrounding hillside. I was rather impressed with the Hostess's can do attitude, she did everything she could to get customers in the door and seated as quickly as possible. She was also the only person we saw smile the entire time we were there. For a late arriving party of 6 on a Sunday morning we had a table within 5 minutes of walking through the door, there were no waters or silverware but we had a table and menus. The food was quite delicious and the nice hearty homemade experience we were looking for. A word of caution, if you're going to state you use smoked salmon best make sure that's what you're serving. My Northwest Benedict came with very obviously baked salmon, not smoked as stated on the menu. Be prepared to play the waiting game. We waited 15 minutes before we had any water delivered, and promptly made our order at that time since who knew when she would be back. The waitress was quick to squash our desire for 2 separate tickets as there were 6 of us, was borderline rude about it. Most likely she would have gotten a larger gratuity from us with 2 checks than the guaranteed 18% she was eyeballing. An hour after we were seated our food finally arrived. IF not for the fact we were all from out of town and had long drives ahead of us plus a very hungry 11 yr old boy, we probably would have paid for the coffee and tea and left. During our time waiting, we had ample opportunity to watch your staff. The Kitchen was definitely rocking and rolling, doing their best I'm sure to keep up with the busy morning. A good majority of the tables were full the entire time we were there. There was an interesting mix of waitstaff. One person did anything and everything to keep business moving. She was taking out food as soon as it was ready (for any table), clearing dishes from tables she walked past, rounded regularly with coffee and water, addressed customer needs as she went. Most just did what they needed to do for their tables and only their tables. One we don't believe ever did anything but hold up the counter between the order station and the bar area. The bartender was marking time, there was no joy or pride of job expressed. We honestly felt that since we were a party of 6 with a guaranteed gratuity, minimal effort was made to provide customer service. Honestly, if any effort had been made we most likely would have left a larger tip. There was never any explanation as to why our order took so long, or a quick "hey thanks for being patient, it shouldn't be much longer". The only way we knew our food was coming up was the delivery of the ketchup and hot sauce and our prime view of the kitchen. My recommendation would be to fix your dysfunctional team dynamics otherwise you're going to start losing customers and that would be a shame cause you have everything else in place for a solid business. And teach them what good/great customer service looks like.

Food is decent enough but overpriced for what you are getting and the service isn't great, either. Get as good a breakfast at Denny's and your shirt won't smell fried for the rest of the day.

Stopped by with the family today. The smokehouse cheese nachos were cold, small and made with canned cheese. My daughter had a fly in her water which we returned. They brought the same glass back with the fly wings still in the glass. Not a pleasant experience.

Maybe it was training day? Service not that good, but steak was good. Uninspiring. Xmas decor going up on Nov 2??? What happened to Thanksgiving decor?

Breakfast there was excellent I would recommend it to all my friends

Great food! Fun place. The country-fried steak was especially good. Portions are very generous.

Great location by the water and I really like the interior. The food is a bit expensive and doesn't taste amazing. But I would gladly go here again.

Visted this place at the SeaTac Airport, and all I can say is that was not worth the price we paid for 3 people $67.06 my husband and father in law ordered the Ruben, which was cold sandwich when we were told it be hot, and then I got the Brk Burrito the egg was not scrambled, they cooked it medium, and when the waitress Miao came with the food I asked her is the egg not scrambled she said NO YOU have to go somewhere else if you want it scrambled, so I picked off the egg and only ate the one piece of bacon and at least a pound of spinach, and cheese so was not impressed, it is what it is, and the Waitress Miao is very rude, when she came back to the table I had asked her if we could get some water, when we had asked for 3 waters when she first asked what we wanted to drink, she had the comment well how many do you need, I got angry and said how many of us do you see sitting here? She got smart with me and I let it go. When she brought the check, husband said that my wife is going to sign it for me as he had to help my 86 yr old Father in law, she said ok when she came with the bill she asked where husband was to sign it, I said I will sign it as he had to help my father in law, she started to give me an attitude over that, and when she rolled her eyes when I did not put a tip on the bill, which we always leave the tip in cash, I said well see how many times you can roll your eyes as you will not be getting a tip from me. Now all the Stone house cafe's may not be like this but the one in airport, is awful, all people in there seem rude and as if they do not want to be there, you ask another for something they give you attitude, now I see why it is called Stone. will not be back if it is the last place in the airport to eat, should have gone to McDonalds even though I do not like that type of food, To the mgrs at the Seatac location all your employees need to take a training class on customer service, HORIBLE I TELL YOU no one there smiles or greeted you with a smile, and all walking around like zombies, Elizabeth
