REVIEWS OF Pegasus Coffee House IN Washington

Edwin Villalobos

Their coffee was good and my wife and I just did a pit stop, their menu looked really great. I just wish they would've had some cinnamon rolls to go with my coffee.

Monika Debnath

Its an awesome place to visit if you are in Bainbridge. I loved the cappuccino. The barista was very sweet and she suggested drinks wh7ch we would like as per our taste. You will get a homely environment in here. Parking is also available.

Victoria randle

Stopped in and had a hemp matcha latte. It was great! I’ll definitely be back. Quick and very friendly service and a nice, laid back vibe.

Barbara Furlong

Very good coffee in a warm and welcoming space. We enjoyed it very much.

Steven Phillips

My daughter demands we stop by here whenever she visits from Northern CA. Food and coffee and tea, all delicious.

Lonn Holiday

Really nice people and good coffee. Their internet does not work. "It comes and goes." She said it has been like that as long as she has worked there. A Google search for "internet cafe" will hit this. It is not.

Tom Hanrahan

Great coffee with a few interesting items on the menu that we were not fortunate enough to try. The baristas were polite and had a smile on their faces. While visiting seattle, if you decide to take a ferry to Bainbridge Island and you're a coffee lover, I would definitely suggest giving Pegasus Coffee House a visit.

Evan Sturtevant

23 minutes wait for a 2 shot Americano to go.

Samarth Sharma

This is hand s down one of the most charming cafe I have been to. The beauty was compounded by the fall colors.Colorful wines scale the wall outside the cafe making it so inviting. The interior is cool as well with good coffee and menu options. They stopped serving food by 3 pm on Saturday so could not try and can not comment how good it was.

Travis Morrow

Good coffee, cool place on the island, pretty expensive. That's just how it is on Bainbridge Island.

Marisa Castaneda

Good coffee and people

Bogdan Natkha

Caleb Benson

Great place, the man who helped us was really friendly and helped us with food well, great calming atmosphere on the coast of the island.

Akil Srinivasan

Excellent service! And fantastic vibe/chill music to drink some coffee and read a book. Our barista was super thoughtful and heated up a scone for us in the oven when we asked, and was very attentive.

Tim Oaks

Good Coffee. Staff not so helpful

aravind ramesh

Excellent ambience. Sitting outside is cool too. European chocolate Espresso is amazing!

Aaron Hemion

Kind staff and good coffee makes this Bainbridge reboot a must try. Pegasus is an island staple, you can feel the history that is embedded in the old wood architecture. There is a pretty amazing open mic the last sunday of each month, something that had been sorely missed.

Patricia McKenzie

Great scones; coffee was ok. Would come back to try their drip instead of americano

amanda Q

It's ok

Mark D Bullard

Love this place. Great food. Incredible food.

Joy Arm

We experienced a rather hostile and passive aggressive service on Monday 11/5/18. It was not pleasant experience so we ate and left.

shawn mcgarr

Great coffee and atmosphere

Christy J

Excellent food, and very kind service. ♡

Kyle Freed

Drinks are ok but I got a veggie wrap that was old tortilla and mostly mayo. Yuck.

Blake Titcomb

Ted Leemaster

Quaint Coffee House with a friendly staff and the macchiato was delicious!

suzannerico

Great coffee in a cool place with a wonderful family owned feeling. We enjoyed chatting with the owner—who is warm and friendly. We will be back!

Chris Guy

Long wait. Poor customer service. Order was wrong. Orders the Hash-smash and I got tots with just cheese on them. The sliders we got were soggy and seems like they had been sitting forever before coming out to us. For the mount we paid, extremely disappointed!!!

Yehoshua Ben-Avraham

Great coffee at a great local hangout.

Michelee Scott

This island fixture is making some amazing changes including imaginitive and delicious food! I love the cozy seaside cottage vibe, outdoor dog friendly patio, delicious coffee and grwat food. Check it out!

Ethan Dubrow

This is a great family owned business. The new owners are restoring it to its proper place with high quality coffee and great atmosphere. Old school and legitimate Bainbridge island coffee house! Our favorite spot on the island!

Marco B

This place is great. The only changes I'd make would be more outlet locations (there are plenty of outlets, but they're in clusters) and more diversity in the available roasts. Other than that, really nice place and great staff!

Tai Lucas

Relaxed atmosphere with good scenery nearby.

Jeremy Drennen

Amazing Food, Superior Coffee, Relaxing atmosphere, and the kiddos loved the Donuts!!!

M. Douglas MacIntyre

Great espresso, fabulous baked goods, great atmosphere

Patrick Hurlburt

An Elegy for Pegasus. What was once a truly venerable 'third-place' between our homes and our places of work, whose walls held myriad event postings and flyers-- the heartbeat of a community composed of teachers and makers, healers and seekers, farmers and artists-- and whose atmosphere was worth the price of the bill [$$] though, most often, it was coffee and something to read or someone to meet, is now gone; Its worn, blue walls have been painted beige, sterile and spare as the hotel-art-- lifeless scenes of coffee beans-- hanging in place of Perseus and Andromeda. The Pegasus I knew wasn't perfect but it was good. And in the pursuit of perfection, that Pegasus was lost. A place, which had been something, now, could be anything and so, for some, and for myself may well heretofore be nothing.

Tony Koester

Great coffee!! And BRITTNAYYY is awesome!

Roberta Barber

I went to Pegasus to buy coffee beans as I do regularly. I asked for 1/2 lb each of compatible regular and decaf beans, preferably from the latest delivery--3 days ago. The girl who helped me could not grasp what I wanted. At least she tried to help me. Her coworker who was sweeping the area kept looking over at me with a sullen, annoyed expression. I left without my beans. There was no sense of customer service having any value there. I got excellent service from the two guys who helped me the last two times I was there however.

William Neff

Quality coffee and food, pleasant atmosphere.

Carly J

Lovely atmosphere and a nice coffee house to hang out...Loved the mocha and cocktail...

Great coffee, great people !

Mary Lou Teske

Love stopping in here. It has a really great "coffee house" vibe - always friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks are good. Great place to hang out. Can't wait to see what they bring next

Bobbie Burkholder

Coffee was awesome but the service

Nick DeJohn

The best god damn iced americano in my life. I will never forget this drink.

Natalie Zimmer

Very good coffee and tea and pastries!

Neal Shaffer

Classic coffee house, great entertainment, great coffee, and cozy atmosphere. Popular with locals.

H Au

Frangipane Tart is more than delicious!

MH H

Excellent coffee and friendly service. The breakfasts are ok but very much overpriced for the size of the serving. You will not leave full - that's for sure. If there are alot of people in here - it's extremely noisy and hard to converse.

Andrew Guidarelli

I don’t leave many reviews of places, they really have to be exceptionally bad or exceptionally good for that. This place is exceptionally good. Most beautiful and wonderful coffee shop I’ve been to anywhere.

Ryan Curry

Great teas!

Tyler Sell

Coffee was lackluster at best - macchiato was more of a cappacino and their drip coffee tasted burnt.

Justin Holley

Pleasant cozy little coffee shop!!

Cynthia Nicholson

Cozy-friendly atmosphere, in-house baked goodies made with love. Home away from home and the coffee is killer. Kell Killian, new owner-operator is a rock star!

Christian Craig

As long as the Pegasu is at your house your coffee will all way be great you should come by fairway coffee sometime and try out some of are coffee

Laura Flowers

Ordered a chai latte (and tipped while paying). workers forgot my order. when I reminded them after seeing several customers come and go they argued that they already set it on the counter, they then “remade” my order incorrectly, I asked them to remake it because it wasn’t what I ordered. They made the drink wrong *again* and on the third time my husband had to go in and explain to them the difference between a chai tea and a chai latte. Not sure if they are under new management - but what once was my favorite coffee house on Bainbridge Island is now a place I probably will not return to. - also this review totally did not include the screaming fiasco by the women at the bar who mocked my husband for ordering whole milk & were shouting profanity at another woman.

Sean McNulty

Great environment and a hidden gem from the tourist spots like Blackbird.

Sophia Johnson

Wonderful, cozy little place with good food, coffee, and tea. Wifi and outlets make for a great study spot.

Sam Featherston

Probably the best coffee on Bainbridge Island

Vicki Lowe

Great food, great staff.

Valorie Parker

I'm not really in to a dark roast although their cherry turnovers are good

Ayragon

Quiet and good atmosphere but very expensive. We got a club sandwich for $12 and expected more then 2 slices deli ham, some cheese and tomatoes on standard white bread with a small hand full of mixed greens on the side. It sounded so much better on the menu. Also, expensive iced tea in a glass, mostly ice and no offer to sweeten. Probably won't be back but glad to have gone.

Chase Evans

Friendly service, good tunes, delicious coffee and woodsy environment. Love sitting along the window seats looking out at the vibrant red flowers lining the outside of the window and beyond

Becky Romasco-Kelly

Cute and cozy with great coffee

Ed Sato

Good food and coffee with a unique menu.

Jason C

Such a nice spot to grab a coffee and delicious pastry and enjoy a nice sunny day on the docks :o)

Patricia Ortiz Calderon

Too expensive

Kendrick Umstattd

Some of the best coffee I have ever had.

Ann Schroeder

Yummy coffee and small bites.

Dij

I loved this place! Coffee, wine, great environment. Next time we visit Bainbridge, we will visit again!

M.F. Wikk

This is a great little for locals.....tourists need no to come visit at all. We don't care for you or your dogs either. So glad this place will be a part of the bainbridge sidewalk art event and that there is someone actually managing the place now that can manage it and get the energy back int here that it once was. The bake goods are looking exceptional again and the new kitchen staff is doing great again as well.

Michele J

Laura Flowers - I was the lady who probably was responsible for your chai not being prepared to your liking. I was the customer yelling profanities, inapporpriate but in self defense. There was a cutomer named Barret that had entered into the coffee house and stopped to insult me by spewing anti-semitc racial epithets and shared homophobic insults at my friend becuase she is gay. She refused to leave our sides to continue her gross behavior and it took me escalating my tone and un-lady like commnets to get her to leave. I know personally that the barista Jordyn is fantastic and usually spot on with her skills but was also distracted by the hate coming out of Barrets mouth. I apologise and will leave a FREE gift card for your next and perfect cup at Pegasus for you. I will ensure that Kell and the entire staff know that is there for you. My apologies for stealing your moment from you. Please give Kell and his amazing team another chance and enjoy the next cuppa on me!

George Beavis

Nice people, easy going maybe an old island vibe. NOT ANYMORE. HORRIBLE SERVICE. PRICES UP. Very little on the menu any more and staff is flat out rude.

Greg Games

Help was so friendly. Latte delicious. Delicious breakfast bagel. Bohemian vibe. I liked it

Candace Ramirez

They have really good food in here. It stayed pretty busy, and there's good reason for it.

Karl NA

Great food, great service. Live music, nice people.

Faz

Nice and relaxing vibe. Coffee was alright too.

Georgia Jouret

I like going to Pegasus. I often go alone and enjoy my book and my latte. They make the best mochas!!! The food is creative and locally sourced. I have enjoyed it all. They recently changed the seating arrangements and I am still trying to adjust to the change.

Timothy Anderson

Had a wonderful Italian Soda, and sat on the couch. Picked up some beans to take home too.

Cat Unis

Very nice place good service cookie is yummy

Stephanie Mitchell

The outside patio is perfect for noon-afternoon sun. The coffee is wonderful. The experience is

Ann Gorman

Great coffee and lovely indoor and outdoor cozy seating by the waterfront neighborhood. Really friendly staff and the building Is a treasured brick and ivy clad fixture. Love this place. Wine, tea, beer, food!!

Ravi Rao

Great place to stop before heading north. The deserts are amazing. There is a tasty chicken salad sandwich!

Jody Rieck

These gluten free raspberry frangipane are lovely little heaven pies. Excellent coffee and friendly service too!

Carl Siegrist

I like the vibe here, folks are nice, service is fine, and the food excellent. One issue, though: the lattes are too hot. UPDATE: Overly hot latte problem has been remedied! Also, they may have the best pancakes ever!

Puru Pathak

Very pretty and cute coffee house. They also have a nice outdoor space. Try the white chocolate mocha!!

Daryl Rodrigues

Charming coffee shop with a companion in the Dexter Horton Building in Seattle.

Beth Katz

Nice neighborhood place to have coffee and light foods.

Mahdi Albassam

Good coffee. Nice atmosphere

Aaron Kilen

I live in Bremerton and I ride out here on the bike most weekends just to come this coffee house.

Carl Friedrich

Good coffee, but no friendly service!

Rob Xx

Love this quaint, almost hidden gem. Great rustic vibe with awesome coffee.

Prince Edward

Prime location right on harbor. Coffee simply tastes great. Staff are bright and friendly. I dare say a better experience than starbucks. Free wifi of course.

Andrea Mcduffie

Cozy spot to enjoy a cup of tea.

Estefania Larios

Great coffee spot!

Brad Greene

Food and coffee are good. Seems to be a locals hangout. Service can be slow so plan accordingly. It is convenient for marina customers or those wandering along the waterfront area. UPDATE: Recently had lunch here, the tuna sandwich. It was a real disappointment for the price. Food rating for lunch is not 4 stars. Coffee and pastries only.

Michael Regan

boo! $6 on a 16 oz mocha. there was 10 oz of product in my 16 oz cup. mostly foam and little mocha powder... tasted like milk. i'll go to starbucks...

DB Baron

Great place to gab a bite to eat

Kidus Tekle

no pegasus I wnat univorn

Eric Jacoby

Great little cafe, has a homey atmosphere. The charisma of the establishment itself speaks volumes. The barista was excellent, made an excellent london fog and caramel macchiato. Cool bathroom art too. Feels family ran, in a good way. If I was local it would definitely be a staple. Well worth the visit.

Michael Bennett

Some of the best bacon I’ve ever had!

Alex Mondau

The new seating is great for work sessions - and I'll add after a productive Monday morning, the music is usually on point.

Jenifer

this used to be a fantastic place - reminded me of a cute french bisteo with a wonderful table service menu as well as a coffee culture vibe with fantastic pastries. and then it was sold - and it has gone waaaaay down hill. the coffee is still good, although a bit overpriced. i've paid less at hitchcock deli. no more pastries, just baked goods which are dry and flavorless. nothing special. the pastry chef from before made phenomenal treats. now they just have a mediocre baker. the service is meh, for the most part the counter people will ignore you even when you are standing right there. they will bring your food order out to you after you order at the counter but it is no longer seated cafe service. the menu has diminished drastically with not that many options. the food? put bluntly, is dusgustung. $9.50 for a blt. the lettuce was not on the sandwich, it was in a little clump of 'salad' on the side - i guess i was supposed to add it myself? it came with nothing, not even a side of chips. maybe the lettuce that should have been on the sandwhich was my side. for $9.50 i kinda expect a little something. as for the sandwich, truly disgusting. aside from the 3 measely pieces of bacon, the wheat bread was not toasted. it was literally warm to the touch and soggy, like they stuck it in a microwave soggy but it had grill indentations on it like they stuck the bread on the press to a few seconds to heat it up with far too much mayo on it. it was THE MOST DISGUSTUNG sandwhich i've ever had. starving after a hike, i ate the bacon & tomato and left the gross bread and lettuce pile. i told the counter person that the sandwhich was horrible, and she didn't even offer to refund my money. it is such a shame because this truly is a lovely space with a beautuful outdoor patio. we used to love coming for breakfast or lunch and sitting outside for table service. we thought we'd give it a try again after some disappointments since it was sold, but we won't be coming back unless things change. maybe it's okay to hang out and drink coffee, but it wouldn't be my first choice at this point.

Joseph Fincher

Fantastic service with a smile. Smooth coffee and beautiful location

Howard Sewell

Great coffee and superb lunch fare with an emphasis on farm to table cuisine. Lunch service can be slow, especially during tourist season, but the food is worth it. Nice outdoor patio with cafe seating - dog-friendly too.

K Kragen

Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Fantastic coffee and teas, plus a very creative choice of wines. Homemade soups and light dining fair. A warm and cozy atmosphere for friendly talk or special business meet-up. Classic Bainbridge Island with a view to the future.

Colleen Kragen

This is my favorite coffee house on Bainbridge! I love the historic yet casual atmosphere. The patio is lovely in the summer with lots of landscaping. It's a great place to bring the kids, or hang out and have a drink after work. The downside is that the coffee and food are pricey, and there aren't any good allergy friendly food options. The coffee is very good though, locally brewed. On the upside the staff is friendly and the Wi-Fi is good. They don't have a lot of parking, but their lot doesn't have a time limit which is nice on the island.

Twisted Child

Nice selection of teas on a chilly day!

Sandra Corrigan

Amazing original fresh healthy food. Full espresso and cocktail bar. Relaxing ambiance with shaded seating alfresco.

nika

Good coffee and small bites. They also have drinks. Out site seating is nice if weather is good.

Steve Rabago

Great locals hangout for breakfast, lunch or early evening.

Amber Colyer

This place is fantastic. The people are friendly, good food and coffee. Highly recommend!

Nina Portillo

Cozy and Friendly staff, will be returning

Dave Koester

An island institution, and my home away from home.

Alex Douangmala

A quaint coffee shop located on Bainbridge island. Had a nice classic vibe to it. Drinks were delicious and the additional patio seating was nice. Had some games to play while we were there. Would return!

Dixon Dick

The family owners really bring a sense of community. The chef really knows the business of making great food and the pastries are to die for. Had the eggs and greens, they were perfect. Recommended.

Caleb Kingsley

Great place for a specialty coffee drink. Staff is friendly and helpful. Their homemade pastries are always delicious.

Kelly Gurza

Perfect for a coffee to sip while walking the waterfront trail.

Cindy Skinner

This quaint little coffee shop on the bay had great coffee and friendly service in a historical setting

JM K

I will not be back. The portion sizes are small, poorly prepared and very expensive. Most of the staff is unprofessional and unfriendly, it's hard to get a smile out of them. The atmosphere is noisy and rather cramped. There are other options on the island for a latte and breakfast.

Literary Sherri

While visiting Seattle from the East Coast, I took a ferry to Bainbridge Island to enjoy lunch with a friend. Afterwards, we tried to chat over a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, while chatting, a man (possibly the owner or manager) climbed a ladder he'd set up just behind us and started drilling almost immediately above our heads. The noise was startling, given we'd had no warning, and so loud it made conversation impossible. Also, sawdust was flying down around our heads. He stopped just long enough to say, with no apology whatsoever, "This is going to go on for awhile. If you don't like it, you can go outside or leave." I must say the loud and dirty repair work coupled with his dismissive attitude were exactly the opposite of what we were looking for: a warm, inviting atmosphere where we could relax long enough to enjoy a cup of coffee and a quiet chat. Instead, it felt inhospitable and unwelcoming . . . quite the unpleasant surprise.

Nicole Zurita

Nice local place but nothing spectacular and a bit expensive. Service and staff were average

Ning Kuo

Friendly staff and wonderful coffee here!

Alexis Voecks

Friendly staff and great atmosphere! The food and drinks are a bit expensive though, so be prepared for that.

Jeffrey Mitchell

Great coffee and baked sweets - didn't try breakfast items but they looked goog too.

Kaley Leach

The atmosphere was perfect, the barristas were friendly, and the coffee was fine. I got a dirty chai, which was fine, but not exceptional, and my husband got an Americano, which he described as, "exactly what he expected," in a good way.

Casey Ryan

Good coffee, friendly folks, live music and cool environment in general.

Miranda Ready

Such a great coffee stop on the island. Love the old architecture. Delicious coffee and great staff!

Jolie Glaser

Everything was delicious! We had a group of eight and the service was great :)

Michele j

OPAH!!!!! Finally a Pegasus that locals can feel loyal to again! New owner Paul, in combination with his fabulous staff are really making the changes this place has desperately needed. The bake goods are prepared right here by our two favorite master bakers Cierra and Paul. They have been baking up some incredible new creations sweet and savory with some east coast influences. The barristas, your favorites..Jordan, Cierra, Vonja and Shelby are still cranking out sass with your cuppa's. One of the biggest failures this place endured prior to Paul was that the food quality was poor and didn't offer a menu that didn't make Pegasus stand out. Well, that has changed considerably and the new owner and champion staff have been rapidly overcoming the incredible debocals created previously. This week they changed their menu and havhav offering Farmhouse breakfast skillets, gluten free waffles, bavarian style bratz Mac & cheese with Vermont cheddar and unique daily specials like chowders... As a loyal local, it has been a challenge for so long to want to be loyal to this place. The food was a miss but the staff is what kept us coming back! Welcome to the neighborhood Paul, you anf your team feel like family and you are exactly what this village needed!

Tamara Steinman

Bit on the pricey side, but good.

Jimmi Anderson

Great cosy coffee and sweet shop

Kandace Khoury

Standard coffeehouse. Snooty BI staff but good coffee.

Jennafer Christopherson

Pretty location. Coffee ok staff excellent

Mitchell Yin

An all at once charming, cozy, and modern affair. The exterior is beautiful and the interior as well.

Chuck Hirman

Great coffee and inviting, relaxed atmosphere. Staff is friendly and, unlike so many coffee houses, they aren't trying to come across as hip and edgy.

heidi leigh

2nd time there when visiting on the island and love it! Great food, coffee and service!!!

Daniel Seggerman

Very good customer service!!!

Struan Robertson

Great, laid back vibe. Nice coffee and a decent cup of breakfast tea too!

Andrew Angle

Great location. Marina, service, good food decent java.

p town

The latte was all milk froth and very little coffee flavor. I asked for a double shot. Will not go back.

Christine Lyons

Great coffee service and ambiance

Brian Lynn

Good food, good coffee

Alex Banks-Watson

Slow-ish service; espresso wasn't great. But a nice cozy space and friendly baristas. Pistachio chocolate tart was good too.

Stuart Moulder

Great little local joint that boasts of their own roasted coffee. Cozy with a good mix of seating types. You can definitely work here, if that is what you need to do (good wifi). Coffee and baked goods are excellent. And the service is very friendly and personal. Barista came by and asked if I wanted more coffee and brought it to me - I didn't even get up. Super nice.

Paul Silva

Good coffee, cookies and friendly staff

Dilan Ozusta

Flourless chocolate toete and hot chocolate were delicious!

Lauren Huston

The most charming coffee shop on all of Bainbridge. An incredibly welcoming atmosphere, and the owners are the absolute sweetest.

Jed Fowler

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review because for years I would concoct excuses to visit Bainbridge Island just to visit Pegasus for a fantastic coffee/snack/meal. But it has undergone significant changes under what appears to be new ownership. First, the menu has morphed from creative and fresh to very boring. There's nothing wrong with the classics, but then the meal was botched. They had no avocado for the BLAT, no deep fryer for the tater tots, the Arnold Palmer appeared to have been made with powdered raspberry lemonade, and the green salad wrap could be best described as 'indifferent'. For the price, I simply cannot recommend it. The pastries did look delicious (we didn't try any) and maybe the coffee is still good.

David Stribling

I could sit here all day and sip on something.

Paul Hale

The coffee here is so good I will drive and take a ferry from Seattle to have a cup or two..

Serina Gee

Pretty cute little hideaway that carries all types of beverages and food. No complaints here.

Danica Jill
