Best coffe in Seattle!
The Best Mocha in Seattle.
I've been searching for a new coffee spot since Wheelhouse closed. Monorail wins! I'm all in!
シアトル滞在中、毎朝ここでラテを一杯買うのが日課でした。シアトル最高のコーヒーは、文句なしでここだと思う。
Loved the Nestle Tollhouse Cookies and a good shot
A great coffee stop that has kept 5 stars for over 20 years. Just on the go quality..
Friendly baristas, fantastic coffee. Great sidewalk coffee stop.
Better than Starbucks!
Cuz Starbucks isn't life. Top 3 coffee shops I've been to yet
Fantastic coffee
Amazing coffee but cash only.
Excellent mochas
The espresso is amazing here and the staff is also phenomenal. I go there daily now, but the first few times I went they immediately remembered my order and are so fast that it makes my morning routine super smooth. They only take cash but they offer prepaid cards, so if you're like me and only carry cards its a great option.
MAP: Off by a bit. It's on Pike, down from 5th. LATTE: Fantastic.
Quick friendly service. Delicious Americano for me and latte for my mom. The thick slice of squash bread studded with walnuts and pepitas was delicious. Definitely worth a trip!
Excellent espresso, had a cortado and it was delish.
I love this little coffee shop!! I always go here when I'm in town for whatever special latte they have on the menu

Great espresso.
The best coffee in Seattle! We tell everyone to go! The minute we get to Seattle - it is our first stop!
Nice staff. Great coffee.
Love this place! My favorite coffee in Seattle. And they accept credit cards now!
Best coffee in Seattle! Cash only!
Cash only, but quality coffee.
Great coffee! Love it...
Absolutely brilliant coffee. No frills but the very best brew.
Cute little spot. What a shame the espresso was all ashy and bitter tasting.
A local favorite because the owner is nice. Good but not great coffee with limited pastries. A grab and go spot good if you're nearby, but not a destination. Cash only.
Hands down the best coffee in Seattle.
Best espresso I've ever had in my life, and I've tried it all. It actually game me goosebumps!
Fantastic coffee. They know what they're doing here.
Really smooth Americano worth every penny.
Seriously the best cup of coconut tea I have ever had!! So friendly there and am super excited to try there delicious pastries and coffee!
Best coffee downtown, great service and love the outdoor seating on a nice day.
Fast, reasonably priced, and good. Every time.
cubano. la única manera.
Super tasty coffee: strong flavor of espresso in a very nice terrace in the street!
Best coffee hands down. Visiting here Saturdays and Sundays have become a ritual. Hemp latte is a must!
I was in Seattle for a conference and stopped here for coffee every morning! As a coffee shop enthusiast, I thought this was unique and high quality espresso.
No frills espresso, best coffee in town. Especially, downtown area.
Great coffee, though I'm a bit biased since I had some right after drinking Starbuck's extremely burnt coffee
Almost walked past this the first time, and then EVERY time i come to town I grab my americano in the morning here. always a smile and a chat, and even in line it's fun.
Probably one of the best lattes I’ve ever had in my life. I was visiting from out of town and sought this place out twice because I enjoyed it so much.
You can't miss this place when you're walking down Pike street. I saw the line a block away and there's a good reason why everyone's lining up for this small coffee shop! The line moves pretty quickly though. I ordered an Iced Burnt Caramel Latte and it was pretty amazing. It's definitely the best latte I've had in Seattle so far! I cannot wait to try their other drinks the next time I'm in the area.
The best coffee shop in downtown Seattle. Cash only!
Literally a "hole in the wall". A quick, convenient alternative to walking into a coffee shop and waiting in line for a caffeine fix. 20oz Americano = 8oz Americano + $0.25? Yes please.
Lovely little coffee window. They are very friendly and have good coffee.
Cash only. But great cafe
oh well no mo rail but there still monorail to get us some coffee and is great you should come by fairway coffee sometime and try out some of are coffee
If you're from Australia, consistent high quality product.
Probably the best coffee in Seattle!! And I've literally tried most of them.
Amazing coffee!
Its a perfect start in the day to enjoy an early morning well done marzocco espresso and meet a very nice person serving it! :-)
Update: this location now accepts credit cards. One of my three favorite Seattle coffee shops. I go out of my way to stop here. Especially great to hang around and people watch if there's a con in town.
Awesome coffee. Strong and tasty.
Quirky, tasty, cash only but so worth it.
Pretty much the best coffee in Seattle.
I you like good coffee and Seattle charm this isn't the place for you.
Delicious coffee! I came for one cup and stayed for three, two bags of beans to go, and 3 bottles of iced coffee to share with colleagues. I just couldn't get enough!
The batista working was rude. They could of had better customer service.
Quick, happy service, delicious coffee and good prices.
Best espresso in Seattle
路邊的咖啡站,不錯喝,服務人員也很好
Closed early
Best espresso's in North America!
Great espresso, my first choice in the vicinity. No matter if there is a line, they serve quickly (with friendly service).
The best brewed coffee! Great service and friendly place.
Lives up to its reputation. Phenomenal espresso.
I have been to at least 75% of Seattle's coffee joints (Starbucks is not in this list !) and this coffee is in my top 3 all time favorites. Perfectly brewed drinks and folks are refreshingly friendly to their customers! Does not disappoint - Check them out.
Friendly staff and excellent latte and Americana.
One of the best cortado in town. We love it very much and bought the coffee beans to go
The cortado I had was excellent and the olive oil chocolate chip cookies were great as well.
The burnt creme latte is quite good, and goes really well with their homemade cookies which are also really good. The workers there are very friendly as well. It's an easy-to-miss literal hole in the wall, but worth a try.
I just stopped for a quick cortado at Monorail. The temperature and taste were perfect. The baristas were also friendly and helpful. I'll have to go back and try my other go-to beverage (a cappuccino).
Really good coffee and super fast service! Just curious: one day I saw they served macchiato with a glass of sparkling water, how it has to be. However, today they gave me just a macchiato without any water :(
Walked by it a couple times so we decided to try it. Great lil coffee shop with the basics. I heard it’s popular and when a cruise ship arrives, it could get really busy. They accept credit cards.
Burnt Creme iced coffee was amazing, and the sweet gentleman working there on Sundays made my afternoon.
great coffee great service ! Costa makes seattles best !
Best latte in town
Very good macchiato
Fast service. Good place
Awesome espresso, especially the weekend guy. Make sure to grab a chubby cookie. YUM!
Really nice coffees interesting baked offerings .walk up with a couple sidewalk tables.
I had the Macchiato and it was splendid. It tasted so rich and creamy.
Great as always
Best espresso and service in Seattle
No frills, strong coffee
Tiny window front shop with excellent espresso. I'm in love with the fact they didn't drown my Americano which is all the rage in chains for some reason.
Exellente drinks. If you are a coffee Hunter as me, you should stop here and enjoy yours. Keep in your mind that this one the fewer local coffee shops left in town.
One of the best in Seattle. (heck, probably one of the best I ever had) Man brewing is friendly and always happy to chat.
Do yourself a favor, skip all other espresso spots in Seattle, go to Monorail and get a real macchiato. Sit back and enjoy.
Great price ans friendly staff who consistently draw a great shot of espresso.
One of my favourite espressos in Seattle. The people are lovely and the setting is great, but the coffee itself is always great, too. They also have *delicious* cookies but really it's best if you don't, they are habit forming. I've had their other drinks, but I keep coming back to just having a double or a quad right there instead of hurrying off with a drink.
Great coffee served from a small window shop (don't come here expecting to chill at a table, although if the weather is nice there's some outdoor seating). They also serve "chubbys," basically chocolate chip shortbread cookies, which are definitely worth a try if you want a little sweet along wth your latte.
One of the best lattes in town! A downtown favorite. Cash only.
Best coffee in town
The blueberry almond latte is so great! Friendly service too!
Cash only, but the coffee is excellent and well worth it.
Monorail!
Great coffee
Small place, but makes good coffee and good cookies
Macchiato is a must have when in Seattle
Quite possibly my favorite coffee nook in the city, delivering consistently delicious espresso on the street. If you can swing it, try visiting on a Sunday morning to have Kosta make you a sugared macchiato. A hangout for local bike messengers, Monorail Espresso is a small, cash-only nook in the heart of the Central Business District. With nicer weather, there are often a few tables out on the sidewalk for customers to enjoy. You're going to get some premium people watching in, if you stick around. I stress, though: it is cash only. And stay off your cell phone while you're in line. Edit: They've added some really nice, new outdoor seating for the summer. Even better!
This is an outdoor, walk-up coffee stand in downtown Seattle, and this is what I think the Seattle coffee experience is, this and Bauhaus for the indoor and sidewalk, but that's another review. This little coffee stand won my heart and my mind over 10 years ago and I still smile ear to ear and nod my head up and down when someone thanks me for suggesting this coffee for them while they were downtown. I used to live in walking distance, for me, I am what you call fit ;-)...and I would frequent this spot often. The conversation with the older man who was always the barista when I had gone there was something out of a great book.... I love his accent, and take on life, very interesting man from what I know and gathered. When the drinks were made, he thanked us for stopping by and wished us a good day. he was consistent, the drinks were consistent, and the place is still there 10 years later, consistent.
The best place for coffee in Seattle.
Always long line in the morning commute time. But I would leave home 10 mins earlier just for this coffee!
Go on Sunday to Meet Costa. My friend from Bulgaria
Great espresso
One of my favorite mocha stops when visiting Seattle. Friendly service with a good, but small, selection of pastries.
Best espresso in Seattle!
Delicious.
Literally a hole-in-the-wall stop, with a great espresso and friendly people.
Best coffee in Seattle
Amazing!!!
Visited this place once. Nice outdoor seating, quick service, bad espresso drink
Very disappointing. Coffee with stale, ashy, tobacco flavor.
Stumbled on this stand during my one visit to Seattle in 2015. Amazing coffee and such friendly folks. Truly a pleasure. If I get back to Seattle ever, DEF one of my first stops!
The best coffee in America as far as I'm concerned. Get a macchiato and taste the difference Starbucks fails to get.
The best Cuban espresso and very nice hospitality :)
Sunday mornings are complete only after a visit to Monorail Espresso and my buddy Kosta, the regular Sunday barista. He infuses my espresso with a tiny bit of sugar for that added, special touch. Fabulous!
Fantastic classic espresso, my favorite machiatto in the city.
Excellent coffee from a hole in the wall cafe run by an interesting and delightful man.
The best iced mocha I've ever tasted. I'd rate this 10 stars out of 5 if I could, and I'm not one normally prone to hyperbole. The "chubbies" are also delicious.
It’s a small coffee shop on 6th ave. The barista seemed very sweet, I’d rate the place a 4 stars for him more than the coffee. :)
AMAZING iced coffee; dark roast fasho. Not vegan but the vegan oatmeal cookie is bomb. Internet is solid too.
Fantastic stop for delicious morning espresso drinks (no drip coffee on the menu). The staff is really friendly and so is the crowd that clearly makes Monorail a morning habbit.
This place is truly amazing and definitely one of a kind!!! We tried Monorail on our last day of our Seattle trip and we wish we had tried it our first day. I tried an affogato first from here and I was in heaven when I tasted it. I then decided I wanted to try an actual coffee drink from here, so I went up to the window again and this time ordered an iced caramel macchiato. Once again, I was in heaven! The barista also talked me into trying a "chubbie" which are their homemade chocolate chip cookies and it was so tasty!! I told her I wish there was a location in Chicago! I was also very happy to see that they had different milk substitutes, such as soy, hemp, and almond milk. The baristas were all very friendly and the prices for everything was very reasonable and a lot cheaper than Starbucks!! Plus, the coffee tastes so much better! Will most definitely be coming back here on my next Seattle trip! At least I can say I've tried the number one U.S. coffee shop you must try before you die.
Best Espresso in my life
Such a delicious latte. And they except credit cards now too.
This Seattle institution is my favorite weekday espresso spot in Seattle. They recently added Square to accept credit cards. It is distinguished by tasty, cream heavy recipes (breves) and friendly baristas. Bike messenger friendly. Note: outdoor seating only!
Stood in line a few minutes after hearing all the hype. Got my coffee to find its 3/4 of foam. Good coffee but they should make it at lease half the cup of coffee for the price I paid.
I'm a local in Seattle and I'm gonna say this is my favorite coffee shop in the city. The owner and their employees are super friendly and personable, their coffee is always spot on, open on holidays, and their service gives such a personal touch. Some tips: it's cash only and it's just a kiosk with outside seating. Close to the Washington State Convention
I absolutely love Monorail. Their drinks have been a highlight for years.
Great espresso, quick service by a group of people that have passion for what they do.
작고 예쁘고 커피 맛이 좋아요
Seattle classic
GREAT PLACE TO SWING BY ON THOSE COLD MORNINGS!
Superb espresso
Great Service, nice people!
This has been doing it right for many decades. Go and order some espresso!
Just came from fontè, and the americano here at the monorail was definitely the better choice. So glad I decided to stop ! The barista was very helpful and made the experience that much better.
Always a great place to enjoy a cup, CASH ONLY!
Amazing coffee!
Friendly and very knowledgeable, they also make great coffee.
This place is always a stop when I visit Seattle. The man that works here is just the most friendly and charismatic character. It seems like everyone that walks by the place knows him. I tend to try whatever flavor is featured at the time, and it is always absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
Best espresso I've had in Seattle . Simple hole in the wall espresso bar with a continuous flow of regulars. Not much to eat but who cares, it's about the coffee.
