This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
They did a good job on my mocha. I get one with an extra shot, and they did very good. Nice little shop, a bit cramped but friendly staff.
Love coming here. Great coffee and great people here. Support this local business.
Nice quirky little coffee shop. Service and coffee were both excellent!
Best coffee shop around! Great vibe and great drinks. Not a ton of room to sit down so keep that in mind.
Friendly staff, fast service, great coffee. Thanks Tammy (and Larry)! :-)
Finally stopped in this morning. Grabbed a pour over (Yirgacheffe) and did not regret it. Friendly staff and an indy shop with a funky vibe. I'm so glad I went and will definitely be back on my morning coffee runs! Thanks guys!
A great local alternative to chain coffee shops with their own intriguing roasts from around the world. Their food menu is gradually expanding so grab a quick bite to eat to go with your coffee. Muffins and everything pretzels are particularly good. Weird Brothers also has a very good rewards program that gets you a free drink after eight purchases.
Authentic and whimsical, with good drinks and location. Would be better with a layout better for lines and pickup location.
Coffee was good, not too bitter. Good prices. Awesome decorations. Also, the frequent buyer card is a TARDIS. That alone made me want to visit again and even caused me to put a sticker on my laptop. Because any business owner who is a fan of Doctor Who deserves all my service.
Great local roaster with friendly owners. I've talked to Paul numerous times about coffee, roasting, and equipment, always walking away know some much more. The coffee is top notch in the third wave roasting styles with lots of flavor.
Good atmosphere, great style, good service, and excellent coffee!
Excellent coffee, love this place. It’s my go-to at all times.
Best coffee shop ever!! Nicest owner, baristas are great and so talented, fresh coffee brewed in house... Nitro is the smoothest I've tasted anywhere. They have some bakery items from other local businesses which is Awesome! Just go. They'll make you something weird and off menu if you're feeling something different, and a great atmosphere as well.
Yum! Excellent spot for caffeinated beverage and a little bite, my Vienna and chocolate croissant were DREAMY. Everyone is super pleasant, location is cozy, and the atmosphere is delightfully chill.
Got the potions master and holy cow my taste buds!
Any time I'm in the area I pop in! My favorite is a dirty chai .
Nice espresso, wrong ice cream for affogato
Love the coffee here and the employees are all excellent!
Small but cozy, with very good coffees and other comforts to get going.
Great coffee! Small, so not a lot of tables. Has the usual coffee shop issue of people parking themselves to work.
A gem tucked a little out of the way from where you'd expect. The interior is comfortable, the coffee is excellent, and the staff are friendly. I'd highly recommend skipping starbucks the next time you get your coffee craving and coming here instead- you get far better coffee. Their pastries and muffins are also top tier. I'd reccomend the lemon ricotta!
They are always kind. Coffee tastes great!
ordered Ethiopia, yirgscheffe pour over... wow wow wow.... bean is so fresh and fruity... so glad i found a new local coffee roaster... being a coffee lover i have been to blue bottle, Stumptown, la clombe and local Swing coffee places. i think weird brothers coffee quality is almost same or better than other famous coffee roasters. Flatwhite was also wonderful. this place is cozy and friendly staffs.. i would definitely come back here.
When I asked when they would have more of my favorite coffee beans, the response was "We just roasted it. Let me bag some up for you. Can't get better service or fresher coffee beans!
Loved the blueberry muffin and their dark roast is delicious! Lots of espresso drink options and a low key star wars theme that I very much enjoyed
Small quaint bistro. In house roasting, relaxed vibe. Disabled vet owned. Yummy coffee chiller
Friendly staff. I ordered a macchiato, and got a real macchiato. None of this Starbucks silliness.
Good coffee, good atmosphere. I recommend them highly.
Great authentic coffee. Vibe is that of a Saj Diego coffee shop in the middle of January. Really cool. Give it a shot!
Great selection of beans from different regions, which are roasted perfectly. Got an iced Americano to go and it was nice and strong.
Love the coffee house, atmosphere is great with the roaster right in the back. You know it's fresh!!!
With the profusion of Starbucks in the area this place is a welcome respite. The coffee is delicious and it smells incredible because the roaster is in the shop. Beware of coming during rush hour because it's terrible to try to turn left into this shopping center! There are lots of fun flavors and great hot chocolate as well. They also have yummy looking food, and a cozy ambiance with star wars accents :)
Very cool spot for great coffee. Good eats to go with it
It’s real coffee!!!. Their nitro brew is delicous. I buy my family their birthday and Christmas gifts here and they all love it. Friendly service too. Highly recommend for all coffee lovers, there’s something for everyone.
Very good customer service. Picked up the Peruvian roast on a recommendation and am really enjoying it. Their coffee was freshly roasted and I am definitely impressed with the quality.
Love Weir Bros. Service is fast and friendly. Look forward to coming in soon!
This is 2nd time to visit here. I ordered large ice americano. It is around $5.00. wow- This coffee is really good but the price seems a little higher.
Locally roasted coffee, pure awesomeness! I personally love the "Embrace the Dark Side" blend and my family loves the nitro cold brew. Great to support a local business.
Loved it! Great coffee, quirky names that just make me smile. Good product with a light-hearted presentation.
Great coffee! Love going here to support a local business.
Great coffee, roasted in house and great service! The pistachio muffin is absolutely delicious. Drive past the Dunkin and enjoy real coffee at the cute space!!
Second time here, both experiences have been great. First I tried the mocha chiller which was so good. Today I tried the dirty chai with a double shot I wasn't disappointed. The ambience is great, even the smell of the café as the roast their beans in unique. I got a chance to do some work as I plugged into their Wi-Fi and enjoyed my afternoon "crack coffee" lol. I was greeted by Charlene, recommended some drinks by Charlene, and when she was leaving her shift she came over to see how I liked it and that's just that little extra thats not something employees learn from a handbook. Thank you everyone for becoming my new favorite café.
I highly recommend Weird Brothers Coffee! Are there other ways to buy their beans besides going to their shop in Herndon? I would love to know if there is! Making the trip out there isn’t always feasible. All of their roasts I’ve had have been of great quality, but I especially enjoy their light roast “Walking on Sunshine”. Light roasts seem to be so hard to find, and I’m so glad I found this one. The shop is small, but nice, and the staff inside have been nothing but friendly. I hope to see this business expand and succeed!
I think my husband and I must have come on a day when they let a new worker make the coffee. Both my mocha and his regular coffee were served fairly burnt. I couldn't finish it because it was so bitter. We suspect the water temp may have been too high when making the shots. The staff were nice and the shop was cute and felt warm and welcoming. The beans looked like they came from very well known regions. I hope I get the chance to buy the beans to see how well this places roasts them.
Amazing coffee with really nice staff! Come here all the time for nitro cold brews
Friendly folks, good coffee, reasonable prices. I will be back the next time I'm in Herndon!
Hot pumpkin chai latte (asked for skim milk; don't know if it was or not) was sooooo good after a long jog and walk. Liquid pumpkin pie, in a good way. Choco muffin and hubby's jasmine tea were great too. Very relaxing place, even when busy like this afternoon, with fun decor. A sci-fi and holiday medley :) Bonus: a clean restroom with interesting things to look at. Will definitely be back.
Decent; offered me a different coffee for a cortado than what was on the espresso grinder. End result wasn't a very balanced shot. Good service!
Very warm, friendly people making good coffee in a shop that's just nerdy enough. It helps they have generous frequent buyer program for both grabbing a cup of coffee and a bag of beans.
My go to place for coffee and coffee beans. They do an excellent job with their in-house roasting, would highly recommend grabbing a bag or two of coffee beans for your home. They also do a great job with their espresso drinks. Just wish the location was larger, not a lot of space to sit and hangout.
The cookies in these photos are lies. They do have some baked goods but nothing near the whimsy that is displayed in this listing. The coffee selection was good but they do not serve a great dry cappuchino.
Great coffee and great attention
Small coffee shop that has great coffee. I pick up a bag of beans for home use every week or so, but the drinks and baked goods in the shop are great too!
Fresh roasted beans from around the world, what else can you ask for :)
Love this place. Their coffee is amazing, definitely should try out.
Outstanding service and fantastic coffee. Their menu options include a wide variety of things. They too use a lot of health conscious items with their products. The owners are big fans of Star Wars, and it is an easy and comfortable place to strike up a conversation with anyone there.
Have an amazing coffee, great locally made snack or lunch, and sit back to talk with the owner or staff about this little town. Love coming here on my work-from-home day!
Cute little place. Everyone was very friendly. The coffee is really very good, but the names of the drinks and brews paired with the atmosphere of the place make it the best coffee shop in the area!
Good stuff. The force is with them.
The coffee, the brothers, the weird and the poptarts are all first-rate. Best of all, it's not Starbucks.
Very cool shop. I wish I lived closer so I could try all of the interesting drinks on the board! Atmosphere is very unique, lots of fun nerdy stuff to look at, and some really great art displays. Customer service was good too.
Excellent
Good coffee, nice small local coffee spot. Great spot to sit and hang out or work, or just to get coffee to go.
These guys know what they are doing! Their nitro cold brew on tap is incredibly smooth, and packs a serious caffeine punch. All the way to their specialty drinks like the Java Chip Chiller are all just incredible. I would travel great lengths to visit these guys. Two thumbs up!
Great latte, though larger and therefore weaker than what I’m accustomed to. The cold press and nitro cold press were fantastic. Finally found good coffee the day before we head back to Australia. Staff were lovely.
Yummy coffee. The Americano is just right for me.
Coffee and atmosphere was ok. Roasting done in shop, so if it’s roasting it’s hot and smoky.
Nice little coffee place in Herndon that roasts their own beans and has some snacks. There's 2 walls of windows so plenty of light. Love to make their Embrace the Dark Side roast at home so it's as strong as I like.
Possibly the best coffee in the area. Roasted on site. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Artisanal drinks and bakeries, nice athmosphere. Would love to see more lunch options
Awesome coffee and great service.
If you are a nerd and you love coffee this place will have all your favorite things. The punch card is a Tardis and they know their stuff. Beans are well roasted with everything from collaborations to single origin and even some fair trade. Definitely the best coffee joint in the Herndon/Reston area I've found so far.
In addition to a perfect ☕, you get awesome music!
Love this place! Great locally roasted coffee!
I found the coffee house to be filled with smoke from roasting coffee. I was covered with the smell of burnt coffee. The smell stayed with me when i went back to the office. I am not a fan of the flavor of the coffee. Now i will say there Million dollar cookie is amazingly good.
The everything pretzels are soooo amazing!! The coffee is some of the best, try the Vienna.
It's really special when you find a place that nails it like this coffee shop and roasting factory does.
A hidden gem. Cool spot! My white mocha was delish!
Comfortable space with great people and coffee. Recommend.
Excellent coffee, matched with great staff and customer service. Bean selection is delightfully varied. There's often a bit of a line, but worth the wait!
Nice little place but I was less than impressed with the the cappuccino I ordered. First of all I ordered it to drink there but they still gave me a paper cup instead of a nice cappuccino cup . Secondly, it was made with so much foam (not crema) on top that I literally had to spoon off several inches of it to get to the coffee at the bottom of the paper cup. When I informed the barista they offered to put more steamed milk in it instead of remaking the cappuccino....so I actually received a latte...right? Why not go the extra mile for customer service and offer to remake it the right way? I really wanted this place to work out but instead I'll be going back to Lake Anne Coffee House or Cafe Amouri where they know how to make a great cup of cappuccino.
Great little shop with good product and good service. The growler displayed wasn't for sale. Shop design could improve. Love the fresh locally roasted coffee. Great prices too!
Some of the best coffee in the DC area. My personal favorite. I always stop in when I'm in the area. These guys know how to roast coffee. Keep it up guys.
Best coffee shop in DC area!
This place was charming and I loved watching them measure and roast the beans right in front of us. It was interesting watching them work. The espresso was a bit stronger than I expected but it was good. The barista was friendly and had a smile for us. The service was quick and they had a good selection of cups, mugs, and other coffee related paraphernalia for purchase.
came here to get whole roasted coffee beans. they were super knowledgeable, great at giving recommendations, and bags were not too expensive (12.99/lb). the bag i got today was just roasted yesterday! cute great place, would recommend
Fantastic coffee! Great atmosphere. Smells wonderful. I pitty the folks getting coffee from the chain next door when this gem exists.
Small place, great coffee and friendly service!
Great atmosphere and very friendly employees. I bought several pounds of coffee to take home and try.
Fantastic food, coffee and service! Plus an easy stop to/from Dulles, whether your flying or just need a place park up and do some work before picking someone up. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Great place. Love the sci-fi stuff ... Coffee is great
Excellent coffee, just not very much space to sit down, so don't expect to be able to get a spot during busier hours.
The coffee is ALMOST as special as the people who work here. Give it a try and put down the Starbucks. You'll realize what good coffee actually is.
Weird brothers is delicious, excellent and absolutely delectable. The cold brew blows star bucks out of the water. I won’t be going back to star bucks now that I’ve had weird brothers. They are truly weird like me and I like it. Hell I love it. You can even get a rewards card and your 9th or 10th drink is free! I’m getting the Joey when I got that! Best coffee in the area. Hands down.
Wow fantastic fresh roasted coffee, fantastic espresso drinks. I love the nerdy accents though I’m dying to find out where the giraffe in the straight jacket comes from. Don’t forget to get a Tardis punch card!
Artsy, independent coffee shop right next to a Dunkin Donuts. They roast their own beans and clearly take pride in their product and enjoy what they do. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic place to enjoy a cup.
Love their coffee
We go out of our way to stop by here regularly - we really enjoy it! They roast their own beans so we also buy our coffee to make at home from this store.
When Paul opened up the roasting factory in Herndon, I was excited to find a coffee shop that wasn't Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks in the area. I started buying coffee beans from Paul last year and have been a loyal customer ever since. Love the place and location as I am able to walk to the Roasting Factory to get a great cup. Thanks again Weird Bros!
Found this place on Google with really high ratings. Definitely agree. Great coffee. Great people. One of the best small coffee shop experiences I have ever had. Staff is very informative and helpful. Highly recommend.
Great and interesting nitro coffee, loved the growler bottles, and the art was really cool!
Awesome little coffee shop and coffee roasters.
Love the coffee. Love the Nordic Knot pretzels. Love that it’s so close to my studio. Love the free internet code they give me on my receipt! Baristas and staff are nice and efficient at the same time.
I just found this place and it is a coffee haven! Try the nitro cold brew, it is the best in the region! The staff is friendly and funny, the pastries are good, the atmosphere is fun. It makes the morning drive a little bit easier and it's convenient to the parkway. Highly recommended.
Great little coffee house. Has homemade poptarts too.
Cozy spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
Great coffee and breakfast items, fast internet and well located for the Herndon area.
Keeping it weird
Cool, unique atmosphere; I love the nerdy references/theme. Great baristas and customer service, and delicious coffee & treats.
Best local coffee around
Kind of a small space, but nice wooden tables, awesome nitro brew. They roast their own coffee and its family owned. Support local! The owner had his two daughters working and helping around the shop. The staff was super friendly as well. Love places like this.
Very nice atmosphere great hot chocolate.
Nice small shop off the beaten path. Delicious latte, done right.
Great coffee, good environment. My kids say the hot chocolate is worthwhile as well! They're also active community participants which is a big plus in my book!
Hidden in a little shopping center next to Dunkin Donuts. Plenty of parking. A few tables to sit at but nothing comfortable since it's pretty cramped. Good selection of pastries and sandwiches. Plenty of coffee related options. Great coffee.
Best local coffeeshop, hand down. Great people, excellent coffee & good support of other local businesses. A++, will coffee there again soon.
Coffee was great, large variety of options. The seating was limited, but the bathroom was nice.
Fantastic coffee, just what Herndon needed. The medium roast is excellent in the morning, and the nitro cold brew will have you wired. The pastries they bring in are quite tasty as well. Highly recommended spot.
Great coffee, great staff and great place to hang with the locals. So glad we have this very cool shop in our area.
I love the place. Would like to see it expand.
Really good coffee. I ended up buying a bag of the masters of the universe roast to take home with me. I'll definitely be stopping by whenever I'm in the area.
Excellent coffee. I love that it's local - it tastes fresh and has a very good flavor. I hope this business thrives in Herndon.
This is a must stop for coffee lovers. From roast to register, happens in one roof. We've gone back time and time again for fine roasted coffee of different flavors because of how delicious they are. We French press our coffee and they make a mighty bean that meets our fancy. Highly recommend you give it a whirl.
Local coffee roaster serving freshly roasted coffee. A few good coffee shops in NOVA
Great coffee, friendly staff!
Coffee was good, I ordered the flat white. And th bcueti er service was amazing. :)
Amazing place. Very small. Not a lot of seating. But if you like fresh roasted coffee, check it out.
Clean with a wide selection of products. Will go back.
Great coffee and very helpful staff. You have to have their Yirgacheffe! Simply amazing!!
Excellent staff, and menu. Cold brew is nearly addictive
Great coffee, friendly staff
i love this place. good roasting = good coffee. locally owned and run = choose this place over the others. my only small gripe is that there's limited seating, which is probably better for them anyway, so more power to the weird brothers. (:
I love this place! It is perfect to embrace your inner nerd and enjoy amazing coffee and teas. My daughter takes dance nearby, and it is so nice to have some place inviting and close to work that isn't a big box store trying to sell you something every second. When it comes to product, they really know their stuff, and they work to learn who their customers are. You can have a conversation about anything from British Sci-Fi, American pop culture, philanthropy, music, clothing, tattoos, and food. The decor is amazing and takes those of us in our 30s and 40s back to our "good old days." I love how the environment reaches back but also pushes you forward into what we always hope for - great food, wonderful conversations, and whole community. Keep up the amazing work!
Their flights let you sample a variety of the espresso's, coffees, and cold drinks on their large menu. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.
Great cold brew, very friendly staff. You can tell they care about their coffee and it shows. Both the nitro and regular cold brew are some of best I've had, really smooth and delicious.
It's always an enjoyable experience. Their advised on choice of beverages is always good!
I love this place. It's always good and inviting. The coffee and the staff are both incredible. The homemade Pop Tarts are delicious as well.
Just visiting herndon. Got a latte, cheaper then starbucks or other chain coffee shops. I always support local. Being local i font expect to walk in there and have all the amenities of a chain like starbucks or d&d, im not one of those people.the barista was friendly and even made me a latte art!
It's an awesome an environment, staff are really cool. Amazing coffee some of the best I've had in this area, Starbucks and other places can't compare to freshly roasted coffee! Definitely going to come back!
Very friendly staff. The coffee is perfect here.
Very Small Place. Coffee is good. Friendly Staff and Good Music..
great selection of coffee
Love this place. The staff is great and they have a good selection of pastries. My favorite coffee shop in Reston.
Decent but overpriced product. Lousy environment. I ordered a medium caffeinated beverage and a chocolate chip cookie and it cost me $10(the price of a full meal at most places.) Thankfully, both were pretty delicious. The young women working the counter were very helpful with my selection and getting my beverage to me promptly. I later got the black coffee and it was pretty hugh quality. There are shelves advertised “Weird Brothers” merchandise throughout the store, and the word “cheap” is too good for the low quality garbage they’re peddling. A jar with the logo, a shirt a college wouldn’t give you for free, and some dusty tumblers... what a waste of space. Side Note: There’s also a vague Star Wars theme to the shop. It is kind of ironic for this low rent coffee shop to advertise one of the biggest and worst corporations in the country. What really brings down Weird Brothers is there’s no space to sit and talk. There are some stairs that I thought would lead to additional seating but there’s just some storage space up there. You’re better off going across the street to Amphora Bakery, they have less trendy coffee but at least you can chill out for an hour.
I always prefer a local coffee shop to the big chans. It usually smells like burnt coffee inside, but the drinks are good and the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful.
Super good coffee and an XL size at 24oz.
Great local roaster. Coffee was great, pastries looked good although I didn't have any. There were some locally-made chocolates for sale, too. Free WiFi and a few places to sit, but it's small. Plenty of parking in front.
Great little coffee shop nestled among the other industrial buildings. Great freshly roasted coffee beans for sale. As well as great customer service willing to help out when selecting beans from their overwhelming variety. Worth a stop to experience some great coffee and break the social pattern of using chains like Starbucks and others while also supporting a local business.
Great small shop atmosphere. Great chairs and amazing coffee to enjoy them in
Stumbled on this place early Saturday morning. Easy to pick them over the chain coffee place a few doors away. Best Flat White outside of New Zealand.!
Coffee roasted on premisis. Absolutely delicious coffee. Creative suggested flavored drinks such as Dark Star, Time Lord, Smugglers Run, and Wookie. Cold Brew, and other tempting drinks. Go. You won't regret it.
Went to Weird Brothers on a bit of a whim as I was passing through the area. The shop itself is located in what sort of a feels like an industrial park (which I'm finding is somewhat common in the roasters community). Typically these sorts of locations struggle with parking, but Weird Brothers had plenty of spaces at 9am in the morning, which I assume is near their peak hour. The first thing I noticed is that the shop itself is pretty small. The cafe, counter and kitchen are all located on the first floor which is probably about the size of a typical single floor apartment. Not huge. There's a bar looking out the window and a couple tables scattered throughout the room. It could have just been that we went while they were exceptionally busy, but we had a little trouble finding a place to sit that was private and not surrounded by people waiting in line. Meanwhile, from what I can tell, the upstairs portion of the shop is dedicated to actually roasting their beans and, as far as I know, doesn't have any additional seating. For me, space is really important in coffee shops. I don't mind being around people, but I like to have enough room to set up and do work comfortably without feeling like I'm being crowded by folks standing in line or at other tables. I didn't really feel like Weird Brothers provides that kind of atmosphere, which was disappointing. So in terms of location, I wasn't a huge fan. However, this place does make one good cup of coffee. I ordered their house drip and took it to go. The flavor was very good. Hearty, smooth and not too bitter. I also have to admit that I really liked their brand packaging. Anything that makes a Star Wars reference wins in my book. All in all, I would definitely choose this place over a Starbucks, but only if you're looking to grab a quick cup of coffee. It's not great if you're looking for somewhere to sit and stay awhile.
Awesome spot with great coffee, and a delightful staff. They embody the quirkiness of the shop and all around makes the experience feel authentic. Highly recommend the nitro cold brew!
This is the very best coffee shop in northern Fairfax County. Hands down.
Wonderful coffee shop! We like trying new places outside of the big chains. This place is spectacular! Pleasant atmosphere, exemplary customer service, fantastic beverages! We highly recommend them. Love it and love the name. We will be repeat customers!
One of the baristas engaged me to talk about what I thought about the coffee. Real interest in their quality and customer feedback!
They make a great cappuccino. Embrace The Dark Side is a nice dark roast.
This is a small hole in the wall coffee shop. Its a nice alternative from the chains in the area. It can be a little tedious to get through the line sometimes and seating is limited but for some good local coffee its works.
