Best and cheapest coffee in the Market Place area. A variety of self serve gourmet coffee flavors, unlike some that only carry one each of light, medium and dark roasts.

A friend and I stopped in here for a Vermonter Latte and a vanilla latte (can’t quite remember the name). The barista was super nice, polite, and made our orders quickly. Most importantly, the coffee was DELICIOUS. The lattes were a perfect blend of flavor, not too sweet, and the perfect temp. Will definitely make it a stop every visit to Burlington!

Mike Lannen

Awesome service and amazing brew. The cold brew is fantastic!

From out of town. First time there. My wife made a comment about the hotel coffee being bad and needing good coffee. Staff bought her coffee. Both of our coffees were great! No cream or sugar needed.

Elise Silvester

Clean, decent priced and delicious coffee. Nice staff as well.

Rick Valenta

The local hole in the wall coffee joint for locals and tourists alike who aren't fussy and know what they want. Staff, often very friendly, can be a little ornery at times but the coffee is worth it. Good stuff.

Absolutely amazing. I ordered a London Fogg latte w/ almond milk and it was the best I've ever had. I can't imagine how good their coffee must be if something as simple as their tea was great.

Patty Crichton

Jack Thompson

Excellent little coffee shop with a friendly environment more variety than Starbucks at a few dollars less that still supports the local Vermont economy instead of going to Starbucks up the street. Now my go to when I go to when visiting Burlington.

This place is honestly the worst coffee shop in all of downtown Burlington. They changed their name and sign but it's still just as dirty as the old Speeder and Earl's but now with even worse coffee and higher prices

Johnathan Topol

Delicious, local coffee. The redesign is absolutely marvelous!

We stopped in for two chai lattes and the service was quick and good. Definitely not a place you hang out in for awhile since it's small, but good for grabbing a drink and walking around.

Geoffrey H

Good coffee, pastries, and friendly service.

Michael Spaulding

Great variety of sandwiches, good ingredients and a very friendly staff. This is one of the only places in Chittenden Country to scratch that Italian sub itch.

okay this is epic

visiting from massachusetts and honestly the best coffee i’ve ever had

A friend and I from across the lake were looking for a coffee or tea shop on Church St. before heading home. We stopped into the first one we saw, which was this place. We walked in and noticed it smelled delicious. As we were looking at the menu on the wall, the man working paid no attention to is as customers. Not even a hello. Instead he continued to clean and walk out the back door to throw a box away. He came back in and we asked what their options for decaf were, as one of us is a coffee lover but sensitive to too much of the stuff. He pointed to a coffee carafe along the wall that said decaf and said that was it. Not bothering to mention any of the lower caffeine teas and Italian sodas listed on another menu board on the opposite wall. We ordered a single special drink and the employee looked absolutely miserable doing his job. He handed her the coffee and quietly said the amount. He rang us out and we wished him a good day. We're not even sure he replied as he spoke with a very quiet tone to the point it was barely understandable. Needless to say, we went a few doors down to another coffee stand in the corner and ordered a decaf maple latte, thanking the female working for greeting us and looking forward to serving customers. I'll never step foot in this location again. It was a terrible first experience on Church St., where everyone always seems so happy go lucky!

Finally made a point to stop in for a drink after some friends have recommended it. The barista was super friendly and added to the pleasant environment. I brought my greyhound in who is well behaved but can be very shy and everyone was super gentle with her. They have a dog that was super respectful of her space so definitely a dog friendly place! The iced chai was awesome and I will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful Coffee..but no place to sit

I've been going here for almost 6 years now. I love everything about this shop—the baristas, the coffee, the customers (you'll find some of the most interesting people from all over the world here!), as well as the layout inside and outside the shop (they have a lovely outdoor patio). They offer some awesome coffee alternatives too (nice tea selection, chai lattes, Italian and creme sodas). The redesign looks phenomenal. I highly recommend coming to this local, employee-owned coffee shop and buying some of their fair trade and organic certified coffee (roasted in VT by Backcountry Coffee), for The Cosmic Grind is truly "out of this world"!

Bill Patton

I'm not hip enough for the place. Cramped location.

Stanley Spadowski

I like this place but have a tough time catching them open

Isabel Lopez

cool spot, but the menu doesn't tell you what's in any of the drinks

Amber Bleau

The coffe has so much flavor and is so smooth. The almond bliss was delish!!!!

Michael Johnson

Great espresso and friendly staff!
