REVIEWS OF Grounds For Coffee IN Utah

Karen Marcy

A little cool and eclectic java joint in historic Ogden. Excellent coffee and ambiance. A gem.

Michael Gilden

I have always received really friendly service, and the drinks are always yummy! I love their support for local art on the walls too. It's a great place to chill out and refresh your soul. Life can be heavy after all, who could say no to a little coffee power to help out. :)

Timothy Ross

Great little unique, local coffee shop. Totally different from the Starbucks experience. Their coffees, espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos are excellent. Their pastries, croissants, muffins, and cookies are AMAZING! Excellent service and prices are good too. Support your local small business.

Chris Hymas

Great staff. They recommended something for me and it was fantastic. They seemed happy to work there. I'd definitely go back. Great location too

Laura Curtis

Great cup of Joe! Friendly efficient barrista!

Lily Kennard

I came in and ordered two pumpkin spice lattes. Unfortunately there was absolutely no flavor at all. It tasted like steamed milk. I always like my coffee here but today was my first time trying the pumpkin. Please add more flavor! If I wanted steamed milk I would've ordered just that.

Kerem Cantekin

Best cafe in Ogden. Interior design is wonderful. It is a good place to sit and enjoy your time. The place was a little claustrophobic though.

Somebody Else

Everything about this place is almost perfect: The way it welcomes LGBT people, the location being so close to the Frontrunner station, all the 25th Street shopping and the big cluster of Pokéstops near the park, the polite, professional employees and the fantastic layout inside. Heck, I'd come here even if their coffee wasn't amazing!

Kacey Gambill

Love this place! Fun friendly atmosphere. great drinks and food, also cool place to just hangout for an hour or two and relax!

Brant Marmouze

Nice place to have a cup of coffee and walk down the historic 25th Street (two bit Street) and there's a yoga class above

Daniel Rodrigues-Martin

Grounds on 25th is the coffee shop I came to on my first visit to Ogden. In a way, it's transcended its own Grounds for Coffee brand. Locals refer to it as "Grounds on 25th," which is as unique a name you can get, I reckon, for a local Utah coffee franchise. Grounds on 25th stands out as one of the most unique GFC's in the area. It's prime real estate on the west end of Historic 25th, which makes it a lovely spot to stop for a chat if you're strolling with your hunny. The shop tends to be quite open about its (its owner's?) political and social views, which was especially fun during the 2016 election. There is also often local art littering the walls, which gives some panache. I've never had a problem finding seating, though Saturdays are a bit more hectic. The shop is the haunt of a lot of young parents, so there are children's games and toys tucked away into one little corner. On occasion, you'll have a family or some moms with young kids hanging around for a while, so bear that in mind if you're showing up with your school stuff ready to work. Aesthetically, Go25 is everything I want in a coffee shop. Plenty of seating with high ceilings and wood floors in an old storefront in Ogden's historic district. I've spent many hours working, talking, and reading at Go25. Around the holidays, Go25 is decked-out with festive decor that makes it all the more fun to chill there. To my knowledge all GFC's are serviced by the same roaster, so if you're just looking for drip coffee, you're not gonna get a different product than at another GFC in the area. But there are specialty food items. Go25 employs its own baker, who prepares treats on a daily basis for purchase. The baristas are all friendly and helpful 20-somethings. I've never had a bad customer service experience here, and often find myself shooting the breeze with employees. Go25 has delish and unique holiday drinks (stylishly drawn up on the chalkboard wall by the register) and I've more than once asked them to "surprise me" with a drink - never to my chagrin. There are punch cards which give you a free drip coffee or a one-dollar specialty drink (OF ANY SIIIIIZEEEE!), dealer's choice. On "Double-Punch Wednesday," you can get two punches per order and fill out your punch card quickly for a great drink real cheap. The main drawbacks of Go25 are twofold. First, the internet is unpredictable. If you stay for any extended time, it will go out on you. It's best to exercise caution if you're working online. Second, the plug-in situation on the first floor is meh. Most of the outlets don't work, so keep that in mind if you're expecting to charge your phone or laptop. All-in-all, the coffee at Go25 is by no means the best I've ever had, but it's enough to keep me coming back and is better than your average S'Bucks. The real replay value of this shop is its charming locale, friendly employees, interesting clientele, holiday spirit, pleasing coffee shop vibe, and obvious commitment the local Ogden community. Even if you don't love coffee, Go25 is worth a peek.

Jeremiah Moss

Made an amazing sugar free hot chocolate for my wife.

Daniel Fell

Great atmosphere, awesome staff and most importantly, the perfect cup of coffee

Jarom Norris

This place has a great atmosphere - it feels homey and welcoming, staff was friendly and a lot of the people there seemed like regulars. It has second floor and window seating areas and a kid's corner. Community events were also posted clearly. My date and I tried their specialty Cocoas, trying the Candy Cane and White Chocolate Orange flavors. Both were creamy and delicious! Prices also felt very reasonable compared to other coffee shops I'd gone to. It was a great way to end a date, and I'd also go back there to work on my laptop or chill with friends.

Eddy D. Mesa

Always stop by after my Bikram yoga. Damn good!

Tellis Brenda

"Greatest coffee in Ogden & I really enjoy the kind people"

Chris Batson

Terrible coffee. Took two sips, dumped it and went to another place. Shop had an odd smell, it didn't stink but it didnt smell like coffee either. Maybe from the hot yoga place upstairs? Was cold inside. Only positive was the staff were friendly. I am shocked that this place has such a high rating. If you like good quality coffee, don't waste your time with this place.

Hoosier In Utah

Love this coffee shop. My favorite. The view and atmosphere is soo welcoming and cozy. The workers are always so happy and friendly to chat with. The coffee is excellent, especially the grounds you can buy and take home. It’s super cute and conveniently located on 25th street. My go to spot for coffee and to meet friends.

This coffee shop has a welcoming and friendly staff. Everything is fresh and prepared just the way you like it. Try the iced, blended mocha.

jonas derr

Excellent place to go for coffee and tea!! The best prices and very conveniant location. The women at the front desk were very attractive. Definetely worth every second of your time. Good place to bring your kids and wife. If you want to write an essay for school, definetely come here. It is the best atmosphere for it.

Michael Lee

Cool space, friendly baristas, and a solid Americano. All I need.

Brandi Davis

Mediocre coffee at best. They don't pull their espresso shots correctly and they're inconsistent. The few times I've been in and ordered the same drink, it tastes completely different than the last. For anyone who enjoys quality coffee and actually knows how it's supposed to be done don't waste your time here.

Matthew Machanian

My home away from home. This place is my sanctuary and my peace of mind. The coffee it top notch and the service is always friendly and personable.

Chris Juillard

I love it here. The shop on 25 and wall is my favorite drink shop. The Italian soda and tea puts it over the top. The atmosphere and people around there are amazing

Sarah Campbell

Grounds For Coffee on 25th street is my favorite place to get coffee in Ogden Utah. The prices are the lowest in Ogden, the atmosphere is unique and relaxing, and the customer service is incredible. Most importantly, the coffee is delicious, fresh and local.

Trevor Facer

I try new coffee everywhere I go, and I have to say, this place is my favorite. I have to grab a bag every time I travel through Ogden. As a bonus, the service and atmosphere are unparalleled. It's impossible to visit this place without receiving a mood boost along the way.

Jay Bradford

Coffee is always good, service is always top notch.

mike&lisa Soule

Always love coming here when we visit Ogden!

Dead Tide

Kicked a thirsty man out on a hot day for wanting a drink of water. Terrible business model, and depressing to see this kind of "humanity".

Maria Renteria

There was a long line but I still waited. My order was taken wrong and I’m pretty sure I got over charged! I didn’t get an im sorry or anything being that I waited almost 30 MINUTES

Eden M

Their coffee is extremely strong - something I like! The staff are friendly and kind. There was a long line but two staff members took down everyone's orders and prepared drinks/food to decrease wait time. Very smart! The atmosphere is warm and inclusive. I liked the art and signs on net neutrality and the gender neutral bathrooms. I would definitely go there again. :-)

Chase Green

I come here once a month or so and buy a bag of their Highlander Grogg beans. Best coffee I've ever had. In the summer I'll get a mocha chiller once in a while.

Michael Rough

Wether you get a Latte, or a drip coffee, its all good.

Kenneth Tolbert

Love this place. It's hard to get there since I've moved but when I'm down that way I try to stop by. Update: 28Oct18, still love this place Still has the best mocha lattes and I really love the people. Update: 29Sept19, still love this place. The people make it really great.

Amy Bokinskie

My tea was watered down and had tea grounds in it. But the service was good.

Scooby Dooby

Absolutely adore this place, favorite drink on a hot day is the green tea chiller

Julie Roberts

Best coffe e in town! Super friendly staff.

Annajean Ponce

My favorite coffee shop. Kenzie’s drinks are the reason I started drinking coffee. It’s a must go if you’re ever in Ogden. Crazy good food 2.

Julie Lindsey

Gotta drop a 5 when it's deserved. Great little shop. Always something cool going on around this place. Good atmosphere. Great ladies running the show here.

dragon heart

Seen in episode 1 of paramount network show "Yellowstone". They put up fake signs "churn" to make this an ice cream place, but the yellow, grey, and black sign is still in the shot. The confusing thing...The shot just a second before was in Bozeman mt at Bozeman optical, supposedly the same street. Instead, the next shot was here in Utah. Color scheme of store facade is different as well. Maybe they painted before the show started here. This is the place though. Update: Season 2 episode 9 they use it as the coffee shop that it is. This place is now famous and nobody's talking about it!!!-

Joshua Hurst

Drew both pictures who sipping on their wonderful coffee.

Sarah Bowler

Good coffee!

Kevin Barnes

Awesome little place

Linda Ferrin

Michaela Hadfield

Von Allen

I come in to this coffee shop alot.on a regular basis.I've spent alot of money at this business.however today I kindly asked the b arista can I use the restroom I purchase here.that I do patronize the business but I have to just use the rest room today.she says no...u have to buy something today to use the restroom.well I'm like ok fine so I purchase a small lemonade.she gave me a drink that was hot.did not put ice in it.I had to ask for her to put ice in my drink.and when I went to the bathroom there was poop lining the inside of the bowl.the bathrooms were not clean at all.I did leave her a tip.so I ended up paying 3 dollars to simply use a bathroom that was dirty.im dis a pointed that I spend quite a bit of money in your store and was treated so poorly.

Kimberlie weisner

I love these girls that work there.

Aaron Smyth

Delightful place with friendly baristas. This is the kind of place I would visit all the time if I lived nearby. Drip coffee is super cheap (but still tasty), and they even have housemade almond and oatmeal milks. Love the eclectic decorating, too.

Brian Bockelmann

Great place to just stop in and get a good coffee

Joseph Barney

Great brew and friendly baristas. Good atmosphere. I'd recommend.

Kellie Kendrick Dalton

Grounds for coffee on 25th is the bomb! I feel like the people who work there are old friends and the quality of food and coffee is amazing!! I highly recommend the S'more Latte or any of the iced or blended coffees.

Matt Miller

The only place to get great coffee downtown. Try the Mexican roast if they have it!

D. Slytherberry

This place used to be a lot better. Seems like if you're not a trendy hipster they feel like you're bothering them ordering coffee.. Also the service times have gone down hill a lot, and the quality of coffee too.

Robin K

You can get here just like Starbucks but better.

Pieter VanderWerff

Love the girls that work there, just beware of the awful afternoon guy. He is their biggest downfall!

Wilbur Pugh Jr.

Nice

Drac the Alien

¤ Very large selection of coffees, teas, and other (including non-caffeinated) drinks at affordable, typical prices ¤ Wonderful, friendly atmosphere that can be expected of a local shop. Decor and layout makes the experience as comfortable as having coffee in your own home ¤ Staff is kind and willing to answer questions/give recommendations ¤ Bathrooms are gender neutral ¤ Upper balcony offers extra seating on busier nights ¤ Very accessible from the street and nearby parking garage ☆ If you're enjoying the local art culture of Ogden, this shop is a great stop, lots of (maga)zines available and full community board. Grounds is a creative hub for locals, as is much of 25th Street. One of my favourite places in Northern Utah!

Katelyn McCorkle

Lovely!

rob catapano

Cool place to hang out

Brendon G Ehmann

Good coffee. Good food. Cool little coffee nook location.

Bill Lorowitz

What a coffee shop should be. Great atmosphere, friendly baristas and customers, and a fine selection of coffees, teas, and baked goods.

abner 163

Great coffee shop on 25th. An ogden institution. Everything about it is enjoyable and it's not expensive

E. F.

I had a nice time and it was delicious! The barista was super helpful and very friendly and I'll definitely be back.

timothy bitton

Literally was having the worst day ever then I walked in there and immediately was greeted by kind baristas. I didn’t know what to get so they recommended a London fog, topped with lavender buds. To make a long story short this drink they made me was beyond what I was expecting, I feel like it was underpriced for the quality I got. I will always be a regular. All In all my day was made just by the simplicity and kindness of this establishment. Thank you.

Laura Warburton

Always nice. Free wifi for those moments when I'm caught between appointments with extra time.

Ethan Wheatley

The staff was really chill, friendly, and helpful. Great vibes, and asthetic. Sitting in the window or upstairs might seem like a small thing, but adds a lot to the whole experience. Good balance of small town and big city feel.

Vern Echo

Worst customer service i have experienced in a very long time would not recommend.

Hailey Ryan

Awesome coffee!

Seth Christiansen

An excellent place to pick up a hot beverage. Or sandwich. Or pastry. Or water, even. A place to order "to stay" with an often vibrant environment, and slightly quieter upstairs. My only qualm is the traffic of frequent yoga-goers that come to classes upstairs. But it's not bothersome enough to change the fact that this is the most comfortable place in the area.

Jamie Sharp

Great people! Awesome coffees

B Rich

Had a nice moca latte

jack Bartley

Grounds for coffee is Ogden's oldest custom coffee shop. They have grown to give great coffee throughout the valley. And the one in Clearfield is wonderful thanks to all of you for your wonderful hospitality.

Great white hot chocolate!

Alison Furnish

My literal home away from home! Wouldn't change a thing about this place. :)

The line can be lengthy at times- but it's worth the wait. Friendly staff and the BEST coffee in Ogden.

J. Roberto Garcia

Always local, always friendly, always 25th! Plus Yoga above, (haven't) but need to try it.

tabby raine

Best place in the entire world. Best coffee, best people, best poetry. Best.

Zealus Gate

No gf options..Hella good vegan burritos... Get to know the baristas they are rad. Some seem to make things a bit darker or sweeter. But its not extreme. Yoga upstairs. More vegan and gf options for desserts and snacks would be good. Great baked goods though.

Jeremy White

Love this place! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Coffee here is great!

Mayloni Minchew

Lovely people. Delicious food. I ate the toasted croissant with ham, egg and swiss cheese. I drank chocolate milk with almond milk and amaretto syrup. I love every bit of my lunch.

John Coconis

Great place to grab a quick healthy snack and a coffee.

Alexandria Cox-Berry

Small aand expensive. There is outside seating

Sky Hoyle

Rad folks, best brew, even yoga upstairs!!!

Mark Dansie

You have to try their Chocoluccino (2oz espresso, equal amount of steamed & frothed chocolate milk & dusted with cocoa) Has A great Tastes & sends you on your way with a nice Kick! Love the Taste of their Espresso as well... Smooth, Robust, Deep & Full flavor without the burnt edge.

Anna Greenfield

These workers are so great and their coffee is amazing!!

Rhett Twyman

Wow...is all I can say. I'm almost speechless. This review is for the customers and the people who own this Cafe. The current self proclaimed manager went OFF on someone that has patronized this Cafe often enough in whichI can see. Under 2 min this female blonde hair and 30ish created such a loud and disturbing God awful and ugly attitude towards a calm well manner man.She was literally terrorizing the man while he was using the toilet. I had looked at the customers around me and saw many looks of...why must she be sooo ugly about it. she was totally picking on him very loadly thought the door .He stated that had every intention to purchase a coffee or sandwich. Through the door she gave him 1min to get out or else she will call the Police.. (After)him stating he would be out in a very short petiod of ttime..and he was. This bully of a manager has ran me and friends of mine as well from returning to your Cafe. She has a negative influence on the staff as well. There looks of horror was...disturbing. I left when the police arrived. The man had left with no insulting words. Please address this cancer. I'm sure the owner or owners does not want this negative energy in such a great Cafe. I will return once it is settled. I'm a peaceful and loving person who wants a Cafe my friends and I can call home.

Jack Hampton

Always a good place to meet up with friends or meet for business! The coffee is grand, especially dark and there's still other grest choices for the less devoted coffee fan. The Baristas are always helpful with questions and are fun to talk to, which is great because I can talk a lot!

Tim Monaghan

It's a great little coffee shop with a typically friendly staff! The coffee is good, but I haven't tried much of the food.

klason gemar

Service is really good and the baristas are very friendly but the coffee on the other hand is not very good at all

J. Angelo

My opinion is biased somewhat as I have an affinity for real coffee shops (not places like Starbucks) that take pride in what they do. Great location, easy to find with Google maps, cozy atmosphere inside, and friendly staff.

Christian Petersen

One of my absolute favorite local coffee shops. Great vibe and even better coffee

Shara Salazar

My favorite coffee shop ever. Super realxed. The people are great and kind.

nic smith

I never seem to get a good drink from here.. not sure why. The one on Harrison has a better iced coffee.. the staff is always nice, though. You can get a good quick bit, like quiche or burritos here. Pastries as well.

Kevin Wagner

Nice place! The bikes are cool.

Adam Christensen

Cute and friendly staff! Thanks for the coffie

Ernie Johnson

nice coffee selection, cozy atmosphere, very nice place overall

Keara Williams

Great coffee! Most of the staff is super friendly and inviting. My go-to is a lavendar coconut soy latte.

James Alton

Great coffee. Great local atmosphere.

Colleen Ogden

This is our favorite gathering place for our coffee group. Wonderful service and friendly people.. a coffee shop that feels like home

Logan

Amazing coffee! Sometimes the wait can be frustrating, so don't be in a hurry. The Highlander Grogg beans are excellent, and I highly recommend buying a bag while you can. They frequently run out of the beans on the display, so ask the employees if they have more behind the counter, they're always happy to bag some up.

Duck Thomas

Grand music and affordable coffee. Service was cheerfully executed. Will be back.

Tim S

Went in for a cup of coffee and to ask about their yoga. One of the gentlemen was totally nice to me at first, however it did seem like the two ladies were bothered by my presence. I agree with one of the other guys who posted on here. It seems like if you're not dressed like a gender queer hipster, they treat you as if you are a waste of their time. I went next door to the other yoga and coffee shop. The ladies there were incredibly friendly and helpful. I'll be doing yoga and having dinner over there later. Goes to show you how treating your customers as if they matter regardless of their appearance can help increase your business.

Trident Visions

Beautiful decorations, homey, great service, great coffee.

James Baker

Great place!

Mind Track

Coffee is recommended

Brendon Velasquez

Green tea, a splash of almond milk, and some honey. Delicious! Especially after a day full of walking and adventuring. When I don't have to modify the drink to enjoy it to it's fullest the 5 star rating has definitely been earned

Justin Hamilton

Great coffee and excellent staff!

kara Leigh

Grounds is my favorite coffee place I frequent them all , at this location i love all the barristas especially katlin she makes the best coffee at this location. emily is a very good barrista and she is a very sweet and funny demeanor. I hope she knows she is great! Also love cash! Thanks for great coffee guys!

N W

Was ok. Not worth going out of your way for.

Blue Grass

Decaf sugar free white chocolate ice coffee from Grounds For Coffee hits the spot every time.

Carling Mars

The people working here were so nice! Also, this place has a really cool vibe, with cute signs for gender neutral bathrooms and a wall of envelopes with nice things you should do in them (I got "write a letter to an old friend"). Definitely plan on heading back there - maybe driving to Ogden (from SLC) just to go there.

Matt Francis

Great service and quiet atmosphere with plenty of seating.
