Impressed with the waiters. Good high quality food even down to the hot chocolate. It’s not too sweet and it has real whipping cream that isn’t overly sweetened like most other places. The pancakes are meh.

This place has really great service, friendly staff, and good quality food (quiet a few options for vegetarians as well). I would suggest going early if you want to beat the rush though. I waited for about an hour on a Sunday around 11:00 am. Also, being where it is location wise, expect parking a little ways away in the neighborhood streets. But it’s worth the walk. Try the Breakfast Enchiladas, so delicious!

This is such a great small diner tucked in a wonderful neighborhood! The food here is fresh and absolutely delicious! This is one of the few places where I will order the corned beef hash. During the warmer months it's so great to come here and sit on the patio and enjoy breakfast and a hot cup of coffee!

They took my phone and told me the wait was going to be 30 mins. We went for a walk and came back and they told us they just called for us but their message system didnt work. They could have used a cellphone to call us and once there they said we would have to wait for 3 people ahead of us and the kitchen was backed up. Bottom line we wasted 1 hr. Terrible customer experience especially because of one of their technical problem they were unwilling to remediate and wanted us to wait a lot more instead. I don't usually write feedbacks but this is the 3rd time eggs in the city, for different reasons, comes short. We wont go back there anymore

Great breakfast place! The cinnamon pancakes are to die for! Our server was amazing and very helpful with suggestions. Definitely would recommend! Note on my first visit: My friend and I were looking for a dog friendly restaurant to sit outside and enjoy some yummy food. Wanted to try this place out after researching that they allowed you to sit at a table with your pup. Come to find out they don't let your dogs on the patio, they want them on the other side of a big fence on the hot black asphalt in the sun. Decided to go to Wasatch Brewery instead where they are dog friendly and allow your dogs sit with you on their patio.

Great food. Service is slow on Sunday when it is usually packed. I was there by myself, a lady handed me a menu and waved me to a place by the window. I ordered the Greek plate of potatoes, eggs, peppers, cheese and toast. It was delicious. Food = great! Service = needs improvement.

Got in at 1pm and waited about 20min to get seated. This is common on a Sunday. Had the southwest steak and egg set and it was good. I’ve tried a few different things and it’s consistently good. If you don’t mind a wait then this is the best breakfast place I know so far. They text my phone when a table was ready so that was nice too. Try them out and I think you’ll be happy.

Great atmosphere. Visited with a friend from NYC for a long time after our meal and the staff was cool about it. I have some weird dietary needs, and they were accommodating without a second glance. I really appreciated that. Great food! Would definitely recommend.

The eggs Benedict is good but the biscuits and gravy is incredible and why this place gets a 5 star review from me. The potatoes on the side were great too and the atmosphere was open and on a beautiful morning, it was perfect.

Visited as out-of-town folks on the recommendation of friends who live local. It didn't disappoint. Short wait for our larger group but they put together tables as quick as they could for us -- Which we really appreciated given how busy they were. 5-star comments from every corner of the table on food. I was very excited to try this restaurant, especially because SLC has a great breakfast/brunch scene. Ultimately, I thought the food was okay... nothing special. I like the name of this restaurant, and I like breakfast food so I'm giving it 3 stars. But I think you can get better breakfast food in SLC elsewhere...

She was great to provide us updates and recommendations on the things we saw coming out of the kitchen. I ended up getting one of the last remaining daily special, chilaquiles, and my hubs had a chorizo breakfast burrito (with chili verde in the side as he's picky about his verde and this one didn't last long on the side)...and then we had to try a "side" cinnamon roll pancake since we drooled when we saw several come out from the kitchen.

I absolutely love Eggs in the City. Though the wait times have gotten increasingly long over the last few years, I truly don't mind because the food is consistently on point and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Once, my friend jokingly mentioned she was so thirsty and the server brought her 3 glasses of water -- how silly but nice! Their huevos ranchers dish is amazing, I have a hard time ordering anything else it's that good! Definitely worth trying if you've never been.

My husband, mother in law, and I went there for brunch today for my mother in law's birthday and it wasn't anything special. We were seated right away and the server was nice but didn't seem overly enthusiastic about being there. I ordered the French toast and my husband had the egg burger. We both agreed it was nothing special and definitely not on our top ten list of brunch places. My French toast was burnt and tasted like plain toast with syrup on it, which is not how French toast is supposed to taste. I was very unimpressed with that. While we were there we sat in the booths on the back wall by the kitchen and the cooks were watching setting on their phone quite loud to the point where it was over powering the sounds of the rest of the restaurant and none of the staff seemed worried about that. I know for a fact that when you are in a kitchen you should not be touching your phone because it has a bunch of germs on it. So all in all I give this two stars because about the only thing I liked about this place was the building and the location. Other than that I wouldn't recommend this place, and don't think I'll be coming back.

The staff here is very friendly! I stopped here for brunch and enjoyed the cinnamon swirl pancakes with some eggs. The food was good but the eggs were slightly dry. I’m not sure if the pancakes are usually served with syrup, but they were a little dry with only the swirl on the top. Great flavor though and I would go back!

I love the ambiance. They made an old gas station the restaurant. It's refreshing to actually have sun coming through the windows in tje morning for breakfast. Most place are dark and dreary. I had the meat lovers which was amazing. I would definitely go back for that meal. I have also had their biscuits and gravy. Weird they put the eggs on top of the biscuit and then the gravy. It was not my favorite. I prefer a little more spice to my gravy

We went as a group of 5 on a Sunday around 11am. There was only street parking and we ended up waiting around 45 mins. They have a good system where they text you when your table is ready. It was well worth the wait! We had egg benedict, and the pancakes. No one was disappointed in their meal and the staff was friendly albeit extremely busy! I would recommend this for breakfast or lunch!

This one checks ALL my boxes...awesome indoor/outdoor design, laid back vibe, super friendly and attentive service, and some of the best pancakes I remember having. Wow! Had a pretty standard breakfast combo, and now I can’t stop smiling. Looking forward to returning to town so I can be a little more adventurous with the menu. What a great place to have breakfast! I had the Greek Skillet without the eggs (I hate eggs). The skillet was wonderful and the price was very friendly. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

I absolutely love this place. Great food, prices and service, I go here at least once a month. Their relaxing ambience makes it a great place for small meetings and interviews, and the outdoor seating in the spring and summers make it an absolute joy to eat. I would highly recommend their eggs benedict and if you’re a sweet tooth, their cinnamon swirls will make you melt.
