This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
It was a nice coffee shop. The decor was really cute and they had merchandise for some reason. The menu was kind of limited, but there was free WiFi and complimentary pens. Also they did have a large selection of plant based milks which I appreciated. The ice was a fun consistency. Also they used metal forks for the Cutlery instead of plastic and eco-friendly soap. The bathrooms were clean as well. The food was also not very varies but good. Overall, there are a ton of reasons to visit and support it :). Side note: it is a bit expensive.
Very nice staff. Coffee averages $5-$6 in my experience there. They also have a great selection of tea! Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I have been there several times and end up having nowhere to sit. Its a super cool place to study and chill but lots of the people in here are here several hours from what I can see. Not sure how they would add more seating but besides that love this place!
Well pulled espressos, friendly service and often knowledgeable baristas make this a good coffee place. Throw in the modern design in the front and the laid back couch Laden space in the back, and this is a desirable hangout!
Coffee tasted old and burnt. Heard so many good things about it and was let down. Had a soy vanilla iced latte and had to throw it out. Friend order smoothie we both ended up throwing it out. Not worth it, very disappointed
This is one of the better coffee shops in College Station. I got the flat white and it was just right - really smooth flavor and the size was on point for a flat white. The cool thing about this place is they use Greenway coffee for some of the drinks, for which I am a big fan, and then they use another roaster out of San Antonio, Merit, which does a good job as well. So good job on sourcing great quality coffee beans.
I love coming here to study when it's not so packed. I've made friends with most of the baristas, & in my opinion, the best coffee in College Station. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it's hard to find a seat during testing week. Other than that, it's a great environment to study in or chat to with a friend. I notice a lot of Christians that come in to get coffee together (yes, I've eavesdropped a time or two)
One of my favorite places to hang out on weekends when I am in town. It has decent coffee and snacks but what I love is the easygoing appeal of this place that makes it so refreshing. They also have small board games, chalk and blackboards to work on or draw or just de-stress. The seating space just keeps going on and can accommodate a lot of people. 4 of us visited the first time and played Taboo for over 3 hours. It is definitely one of the more popular cafes in College Station because the next time I visited during the school term and I could barely find a place to sit by myself. It seems like a go to place for students to work on homeworks and group projects.
I really wanted to take my business to this place instead of Starbucks. They refused to make me a coffee how I wanted it. I was told that I wanted too much cream and that the cost to make the coffee was too high, I then proceeded to tell them to charge me whatever they wanted and just make me my coffee how I was asking but they completely refused to do it wasting my time while already running late to work. I've been forced to take my business to big business. :/
It's different when it comes to choices of tea and coffee. Better than other joints in that respect. However, the interior ambience could have been improved upon.
Clean, good service
Lovely atmosphere and very tasty coffee and baked sweets!
Best coffee in college station if you are a coffee nerd. Places to sit can be difficult during rush hour. Even so, you won't be disappointed in the quality.
Good coffee and atmosphere, can get busy and fill up
Quiet place . Lots of room. Very little atmosphere, but good for studying. I feel they try hard to give good quality coffee, which is appreciated.
Nice place to study, food was prepared quickly, and the staff was very friendly. Plugs are provided along the bar seating area, but not at the main tables (unless you sit near the outer ring if tables and stretch the cord to you).
It was a nice environment but I ordered a cappuccino and it was god awful. No sugar and abysmal taste. Would not recommend if you actually wanna drink something good.
superb wifi speed almost 90 mbps download speed, but hard to find a seat at night , uber busy. !!!! Need more power outlet !!!!
Great place for college students to study. Also they have pretty good coffee and lattes. During the day it's not too crowded, but in the evenings it can be impossible to find a spot.
Good coffee, gets crowded in the evening for people studying. But there is lots of seating
Buy the 3 refill drip coffee and sit and stay a while! A bit in the loud side but roomy with lots of seating for singles or small groups.
It is a well lit place with great coffee and food. Perfect for studying. It gets pretty quite late on Friday nights which enjoy.
Good coffee tea and homemade poptarts. Regrettably, they no longer make smoothies
Cozy
It’s a coffee shop. Lots of millennials hangout here (I am one). Not a fan. Prefer the company of old people. Millennial vibes are too fake feeling. Coffee tastes average. Wait times can be long. Not a bad place if your the type to fit in there.
I feel so fancy with my glassed ice coffee, my yogurt served with a silver spoon and my pumpkin bread toasted on a beautiful white plate. Not to mention the seating with one person tables perfect for studying that are sturdy and comfortable chairs that aren't falling apart. Three different WiFi networks exclusively for Lupa's consumers so you never have to fight over Wifi. They keep the temperature cold so your not sweating the whole time and you don't leave smelling like coffee. Lastly, great location where I never have to fight for a parking spot. Oh, and no need to get up and throw your trash away, they come and get it from you. Exceptional!
Latte was very nice! I enjoyed their atmosphere and read a book. It's a perfect space to reading with coffee.
Nice place to get coffee from! If you need to study seems to be the place to go!! I would recommend it. I will be back when I am visiting family again! Coffee tastes good of course. Wanted to try multiple kinds
Friendly staff, excellent espresso and great banana bread. What more could you want?
Sunlit and calm atmosphere
I've come regularly ever since they opened. Excellent coffee, service, and lots of seating
Oh my gosh there is *so much space* inside this place. Great coffee shop to hang out and work or catch hip up with friends. The drinks are also excellent and well priced.
I happened to stop by this place at College Station on my way from Houston to Fort Worth. Needed some good Tea for the road. This place has a great vibe and youthful energy and the tea was great. The Baristas are nice. The only sad thing is that there is a tiny solitary fish in a small bowl kept near the doorway that hardly anyone notices. It is certainly a very sad fish and does not belong there. I would give this place 5* had it not been for that poor fish being isolated there
Great place to enjoy coffee with friends! Good atmosphere for studying and working. The only scarce resource here is seat though ;)
Great place, sorry my friends dog tore up your flower bed!
Great place to study with an cool staff. The drip coffee is always good and changes often.
Hands down one of my favorite coffee shops. I love how clean and welcoming the store is. And the Batista's are so skilled! No matter what I get, it ends up on my "favorite drinks" list!
The taste of the coffee is great, but the hot drinks are always Luke warm, even after I ask it to be made extra hot. I asked if they use a thermometer to check the temp of the milk, but they just touch the surface of the steam pitcher and that is why it it so inconsistent. The prices are so high, almost $7 for a large latte.
Coffee (black) was good. Served in a real mug which I appreciate. Place was full. it was quite, everyone and I do mean everyone was looking at a screen of some sort, phone tablet or laptop. Staff seemed quite friendly..
Very good place to study or talk. Good quiche. I like strong expressos since I'm French, but that one was disgusting, I don't really understand why, though. Maybe something went wrong...
Most authentic cappuccino I have had in a long time. Place was packed with College students so clearly the word is out. Lots of tables including a back room to spread out with your books and laptop. The cinnamon pastry I had was a tad dried out so there is room for improvement.
Their actual cup of drip coffee tastes terrible. It wasn't just a bad batch, I tried two cups from different batches just to make sure. The two employees there didn't seem to care that I wasn't satisfied with my drink. Wifi problems for the first 30 to 45 minutes I was there.
Their coffee is not the best but the atmosphere is very nice for studying
Ridiculous decor that make no sense, but good coffee.
Great coffee and snacks. However, this is a pretty popular place, so it's often hard to find a seat during peak hours.
Great place to study!
Best quality/tasting cappuccino in town, and what a fun atmosphere-- they did a great job transforming a strip mall space. However, the staff is just not friendly. It may be that they are all introverts and it's just that-- however there are never smiles when you arrive, when they ask if your drink is for here or to go it seems like they want you to say to go, and there's no pleasantry. I didn't think that would mean very much to me, but apparently it does. Every time I think about coming I hesitate because of my interactions with the staff and often decide to go anyways because the drinks (and blueberry muffins-- oh my goodness, incredible) are so good. I always hope that maybe I've just got folks on bad days, but after 5-6 visits with different staff I wonder if they're just not encouraged to be pleasant...or again, maybe they are all introverts who don't enjoy engaging others. Who knows, but if that could improve I would vote this the best shop in town. Also-- they use Promised Land milk, grassfed, yum. Lastly, seems like they may use old school CDs for the music, it's often that the music is just off and it's library type silent in there. It's definitely not a place to come to have a conversation with someone, super awkward for yall, and a bit annoying for everyone else who have gotten used to the quiet. Some continuous music would be a good add.
Really nice. Lots of seating. Internet is fast
The coffee should speak for the place. Nice environment for relaxed group meetings. Mostly filled with students
The coffee here is pretty good, and the prices aren't too bad. The specialty coffees are a little expensive. The service here is great. This is a popular place for students to study, so expect to take your coffee to go.
There are many coffeehouses in College Station - and this is one of them. Lupa's has a culture of focused study and cordial service. I've never been a fan of their beans, but I can understand the draw. Their excellent selection in other drinks (smoothies, for example) makes up for it entirely. Grab a small bite, a few friends, a 200mg caffeine drink, and a table, and come ground out that 6-hour study sesh.
They have the best London Fog I've had in BCS.
Limited on food other than a Breakfast sandwich and various pastriesalthough there's a wide variety of drinks on/off the menu. I ordered a London Fog Latte and it was probably the best one I've tasted yet. The atmosphere is also very inviting and perfect for studying.
Excellent, Great coffee an friendly staff
Not as much seating as other places, but friendly service and good coffee. There is a bar going along the walls that's nice.
Best coffee in BCS!
Coffee is good but don't bother asking the staff for suggestions. They are kind of stuck up and make you feel bad about your coffee preferences.
Espresso shot was burnt and very acidic.
Great place to study but the coffee is pretty meh. The coffee has an acidic taste to it if you're into that
My wife and I have greatly enjoyed Lupa’s for their excellent and tasty coffees, their fabulous baristas, and the relaxed atmosphere. We have recommended it to our friends time after time because we believe they serve the best coffee in College Station, however, during the last couple of visits we realized Lupa’s has raised their prices (i.e., a small Cortado now costs $4.50) and we feel the new prices are a bit exaggerated.
Great coffee! Lots of studying going on. Not really a place to hang out and chat.
Great coffed. Comfortable place with free WiFi to work or study.
Best place for coffee in college station! Great environment for students!
Super cute coffee shop with a large back room that is great for studying, working "from home", and meeting with clients.
Good coffee!!! Caramel latte is my favorite!!!
I really like the coffee, the service is good and the prices aren't bad. The atmosphere could use some work but that looks to be in process. Overall a good coffee shop.
The place is good for study. However the drink is just fine...
Baristas are knowledgable and chill. Zack is a master of all things frothy, try one of his cappuccinos. Dope atmosphere, lit spot to sit back and relax for a minute. 11/10, would reccomend.
Very nice atmosphere. Especially like the art show and live raw musicians.
Very crowded and tuff to find a seat, popular among the college crowd for studying or meeting. Limited selection on food and pastries but the variety of drinks is good.
Fantastic coffee! Great place to study too... If you can get a seat. I wish this place were bigger so I could sit and enjoy it more often, but usually there are no seats available.
This place makes EXCELLENT coffee. Prices are cheaper than Starbucks, and in my opinion you're getting much better coffee. The employees are friendly and the bathrooms are very clean. It's very quiet during the day, but when it starts to get dark out it can get pretty crowded.
Great coffee and it is a great place to meet up and hang out.
Probably the best coffee shop overall in College Station. Cozy, spacious and great coffee.
Unless you are not constantly buying something they seem irritated if you are studying. I bought coffee once and took it back to my table only to drink it and find it was cold. I took it back to the counter and they told me there was nothing they could do to help me because they didn't have a microwave. I payed almost $5 for a cold cup of coffee. I haven't gone back since.
College Station's best coffee
Really nice venue, the baristas were very welcoming and the food options are great.
Best coffeeshop in College Station. High quality beverages and great study environment
An excellent place to study. Staff has always been über friendly. Coffee and what not are always outstanding. Highly reccomend.
Nice place to sit and work. Good coffee.
A great spot for a hot drink and a day of work/study. Fills the void that Mugwalls left.
Busy on a Thursday night. Friendly and positive.
Amazing atmosphere for studying, meetings, and get togethers with friends!
Employees are pretentious, if you don't go at the right time there's no chance of finding a seat, coffee is good.
Excellent coffee, superb service!
If you really enjoy the finer parts of coffee this is the place for you. The baristas are trained to really exenuate the different parts of different brews, and if you aren't into that, the food and pastries have been taking a step up. I personally love their cookies and breakfast sandwiches!
Great coffee good fam
The coffee was delicious and you should try the poptart. Be prepared to battle for seating.
Good coffee, nice interior. Nice locale alternative to starbucks.
The cashier was not very friendly, but the barista was awesome and the iced mocha was very good!
So I'm told that straight espresso won't mix with syrup over ice... it must have milk... what!?
Favorite coffee in town. Good place to study too!
My go-to coffee place in college station.
Good coffee and nice coffee art. They do have a decent variety of teas and espresso drinks. The small assortment of muffins and cakes also come in handy for longer study hours. They have plenty of space for working and the inner room is especially quiet too. The WiFi which used to be spotty has been markedly better off late. There is still a lack of available charging ports, but compared to some of the other coffee shops, I would say they are at least at pat on that count. The big advantage over other places is the ample lighting. It's a big plus for people planning to come in for working a while.
Just a college town coffee shop, but what they do they do well. Espresso is great. Not much to eat, but holy moly... the space! The problem with most college cafes is no seating, or table space. Lupa's is compensating for all the rest. So many tables!
The coffee is great and the staff is super friendly. They have good almond and oat milk options, too. This will be one of my regular coffee shops.
Lupa's is phenomenal. They have such a great variety of drinks, and their coffee is very good. They're very accommodating to those with special dietary needs, and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The place is much bigger than it seems on the outside, and there's even a small fish aquarium, which is always a plus in my book.
Lupa’s Coffee House offers premium quality coffee, teas, smoothies, and foods with a welcoming, caring attitude. They use specialty grade coffee beans and tea leaves from Greenway Coffee Company and Red Blossom Tea Company. Both work diligently with farms to produce a rich, unique flavor in your cup.
Best coffee in College Station, sources the same beans as Local Coffee.
Great coffee, good service, nice atmosphere
Decent coffee but super expensive for literally iced espresso with milk in a 12oz plastic cup. Why was it so expensive? I could order a venti version from Starbucks that tasted better and had twice the amount for cheaper. It's a cute place but seriously it was way too expensive for what you're getting.
This is hands-down the best quality craft coffee in the BCS area. Not only do they use quality beans and ingredients, they also train all of their employees very well and take great pride in their work. From their drip coffee to lattes to tea, I’m never disappointed. Their baked goods are always fresh and delicious, and the syrups they make in-house are delicious and creative! They have a decent rewards program, and I love that you can get a free drink when you purchase a bag of coffee.
Great place! Be aware though, the single dollar sign evaluation is not an accurate reflection of pricing. Chose to try this place because I thought it would be cheaper than Starbucks (which has 2 dollar signs). It's definitely better. It is absolutely not cheaper.
First time here. New to the BCS area. Have been to all the other shops in the area. This is hands down the most expensive among them! Drink sizes are comparable to other local shops in town, but the price is quite a bit more. They use double shots in all coffees, which is great! Although, I purchase triple shot coffee near daily and never pay $8+ for it. The atmosphere is ok, clean and the service was good, barista polite and courteous despite my mention of the cost being absurd. Just think the price is absurd for coffee that—as far as I know— isn’t premium.... I’d say if you are looking for delicious coffee and the price isn’t super expensive, go to Gogh Gogh or Tipsy Bean.
great London fog. If you can't have dairy, they have great milk substitutes here!
Lupa's is a great place to study or meet peopl (my favorite in BCS). There is a lot of setting, and the tables are laid out well. The batch brew caters to the tastes of coffee connoisseurs, and might be too acidic for casual coffee drinkers. Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable.
I go here almost everyday, and I absolutely love it! The baristas are super friendly and quick to serve. The coffee is the best I have ever had. They use Promise Land milk and texture it way better than any other coffee shop I have been to-- especially Starbucks! Lupa's cares about the quality of their product and treat every customer with respect.
Great drinks. Great atmosphere. Usually pretty crowded, but in a good way. This coffeeshop seems more study oriented than social oriented so I go all the time when I need to get stuff done. My only complaint would be that there don't seem to be enough chairs for all the tables.
My favorite coffee spot in the area. All the baristas are friendly and make excellent drinks. Music and atmosphere is great and they sell local art on the walls.
Get the 3 cup. It's the best deal. I wish they had more high tables.
Good coffee, cozy place. Fantatic if you need somewhere nice to study. A little pricey for what you get though,
How can I even begin to sum up my experience with Lupas. Not only are the drinks and snacks (especially their teas and scones) mighty tasty, the staff is also one of the friendliest groups of people I've met in my almost 6 years in CS. The baristas always seem to find ways to start good conversations and make friends with me. They also have a great memory for my interests and my drink preferences. Also not to go unmentioned is the ample room and abundance of comfortable seats, couches and power outlets in comparison to other coffee shops in the area. Only thing I can think of to improve here is adding in sandwiches and the like for more food options but of course it has no effect on this review or the many fun times I've spent here. Big thanks to Lupas for making my studying more pleasant and big shout out to Meagan, Sarah, and Lino, just to name a few!
good presentation, pricing normal but not head over heels in love with the coffee. did appreciate the almond milk though
Great espresso and atmosphere. Usually string wifi and friendly staff. Lots of tables and outlets for studying. Their coffee can be hit or miss from a picky coffee drinker.
Unique and special coffees and yes, this place appeals to your inner hipster. A great place to hang out, meet up, or study.
Great place to do work during the night. Staff is very friendly and ice coffee is very strong.
A popular Aggie study spot with decent coffee.
Been coming to Lupas regularly for about 2-3 years, and I love it. Its not always my favorite place to hang out because there are too many students studying, but their coffee is excellent...! Also the staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledgable about coffee in general. I always recommend Lupas to anyone who needs a good coffee shop.
Best Coffee shop in College Station, hands down. Try the Canadian Latte. A latte with maple syrup and cinnamon. Yes please!
This is a nice cafe. Good selection of drinks. They have cortado which is otherwise hard to find. I love the decor as well.
This is one of the better places to get a proper espresso beverage made, and they have good smoothies made with real ingredients. It is usually crowded, though, as there are a lot of table campers, and there isn't as much turnover as other coffee shops in the area. It can be hard to find a place to sit and work. Outlets are scarce, so it can get a bit treacherous around finals, as there will be a lot of extension cords. In the afternoons, the sun comes in the large windows, and makes using a laptop very difficult. They close their register at midnight, even if they're open afterwards, so be sure to order your drinks before then if you're working late! This location is rather student-centric, so it is occasionally closed or open odd hours around school holidays.
They make a tasty Cortado and for non-caffeinated I recommend the Caramel Steamer.
Just a place with great coffee and a nice place for a coffee date or to study
They have a wide variety of coffees and teas. They even have oat milk, which I hadn’t tried and it was delicious.
First time there. Great service and yummy coffee.
Was here for a business visit. Staff & Management were very nice, espresso was very good, place was clean and price was reasonable.
I love studying here. The maple bacon biscuit is delicious and the coffee is tasty and the people are always very friendly. Also Lupa’s supports local artists which is super neat!
I've stopeed in here for drinks quite a few times. A nice place for coffe and sweets. If you're there at the right times, the atmosphere is good for studying as well!
The basic white girl levels are over 9000!
