Great food. One of the last places around your allowed to smoke or vape inside. So be prepared for that. But the food is awesome. They also do take out. Onion rings with ranch sauce and a cheese burger.

This is a truck stop dinner it is for truckers if the smoke bothers you go away kfc and toca bell is next door we should not have to be bothered with the car drivers when we eat after we stop to take a stress free break from you. The food is great and this is a good place to eat

Ok first I grew up eating in wholesome, family cafes like this. Unfortunately, food is not so good here. Chicken fried steak frozen, baked potato old and over cooked, pork chop although seasoned very, very dry. Okra was good, toast too. Service, atmosphere (for a cafe) was 5-Star to me. Would I eat here again, yes. There is some fresh home cooked food and ppl are great!

Let's have a little bit of common since when your causing your children to die from second hand smoke. Maybe throw the smokers on one end and then nons on the other with a little air purifier in the middle? Maybe keep it the same since it's been open forever? Either way I'll be back.

Nice old-school diner. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Yes it does smell like smoke, but that is because they allow smoking inside. The burgers are excellent and juicy. On Thursdays they have bread pudding which is phenomenal. To all the reviewers that complain about the smoke, go elsewhere and leave the old-school diners to the locals and Truckers.

Two stars because I searched for "coffee shops" and this place showed up, naturally, its called I-45 Coffee Shop....but guess what? Worst coffee I've ever had....ever. I will say that I looked around and it was busy with a lot of people eating. So I guess the food is good.

Food is good, normal size portions. If your a smoker you will love it, smoking allowed inside. If your not a smoker there is not a non smoker section so your surrounded by smoke. Staff is nice and friendly

I can say the food is great. One of the last smoking facilities in these Great states where you can just come in eat, converse, relax and who knows mayne make a new friend. There is a New Old face Returning today--old CRAZY CHRIS . After her bought with cancer she's going back to work. She may mow be able to talk AS FAST as she could but she's still got the HAPPY CRAZY bone she ready to share a smile n feed a belly. Yall have a great day. I ordered eggs over easy, hashbrowns, home made biscuits with gravy, and a decent sized chicken fried steak (8.29+tax). I could not finish the meal but the biscuits with gravy were great later in the day. Paulette was our server and she took great care of us.

Previously had a 5 star for me. We went out for our usual late night meal although we we're greeted nicely and well taken care of a roach was in my brothers sweet tea and, with no appetite left after barely taking two bites, we refused to pay for the unfinished food. Their response was calling the manager who instead of making it right, called the police and filed a criminal trespass order on all 3 of us. I've been going there for over 20 years at least once a week and they just threw us to the curb because of their mistake. Can't lie, still miss the food and conversation already though.

I-45 is a really neat old school diner. They even have a jukebox! You can tell it's been there for years, but the decor gives it character. The only thing that I strongly dislike is the fact that people can still smoke inside, so I wouldn't recommend taking your children inside. Food is pretty good for the most part. I've had their chili, but I don't think it was homemade. Sometimes the wait can be a little long of the diner is full. The last couple of times we ate in they were short staffed so the waitress had to work extra hard. Last night the cooks and the waitress weren't getting along very well. I heard several people complaining about their ordered being wrong. Our burger wasn't made right, but we didn't send it back because the waitress was clearly flustered and apologized repeatedly. We've never had any issues ordering to go though.

Good home cooked meals, good service and lots of parking for truckers. They do allow smoking in this restaurant and it can get a little Smokey at times. If you can tolerate the smell of the cigarette smoke, the food is worth it.

Couldn't wait to write this. Short version is, save time, save money, and skip this place. OK, longer version. I've eaten food all over thr U.S., and all around the world. I thought that since it was a local business, with people eating there, it would be good, and Breakfast is hard to screw up, but they managed. Except for thr sausage patties, this was thee worst food I've eaten since I was in Turkey in 1996. I had to stop eating because it was so bad. The gravy was so bland, it was negative bland (I made that up just for this description ). The omelet was just gorribke, they used fake Velveeta cheese, and even the eggs suckes, and that's really, really hard to do, they're eggs. Hiw do you screw up the eggs. The hash browns were previously freeze dried, and tasted like it. The coffee was slightly above dish water. Now, to be fair there were local folks eating in this place, and they seemed to be OK with it, but perhpas that's the level of quality they are used to, or they just like food that taste that way. If nothing else the staff was friendly. I suggest skipping this place.
