Amazing customer service. Thank you for being so gracious to our group celebrating our friend's life.
I like this place. Coffee is great and the tamales are pretty good.
Unique offerings and a great environment. Service was friendly but the coffee was not great. While unique the coffee was only okay in flavor and quality. I would not recommend this as a hard core coffee option but this is a great chill place or a good date spot. The menu is cool as is the concept. Desserts we're good.
I first found out about this place by using the workhard anywhere app this morning and I'm glad that I stopped by here. The staff are friendly and explained to me some of the most popular items on the menu. This is a good place for people to study/work and it has this nice, cozy, quiet atmosphere. I had the café de olla and the black bean tamale with plantain chips which were really tasty. The horchata iced latte is so delicious and next time I'll try the mayan mocha latte.
Awesome and comfortable little coffee shop. I’ve been looking for a place like this for a long time. When you think of a place to study think about this spot.
I love this place! I gave been going here almost daily recently to write. It is a wonderful environment. The coffee is delicious! ♥️
Great atmosphere great people great food and coffee you don't want to miss it
Good coffee, poor customer service
excellent coffee and atmosphere. I had the cafe de olla and it was great. the only thing I would say that I didn't like was that when I asked what about dairy or gluten in some of their food choices they weren't able to find out what was in them.
I like coming here on Sundays. It's packed but there a pop up outside and they sell chilaquiles c:
Very cool and convenient place to hangout.
I only wish I’d found this place sooner. I am weirdly specific when it comes to coffee shops. I need a place that feels like a home with a corner I can hide in and a nice comfy chair. I thought I’d tried and failed to find a place that was right for me. I was making a habit of going to agora but ultimately stopped because it was too popular and actually I thinks the owners are not kind because after being a regular for over a month I was asked one day (that I did not buy something though I usually did) to buy something or leave. I am so happy to find this place. The environment is mellow and the prices aren’t crazy so I will surely be coming back a lot!
Interesting place, it's in a house. It has a bunch of various furniture and rooms. It looks kind of nice, but my main gripe is it's not very comfortable. The sofas are old and not supportive at all. The chairs are hard and rigid. Especially since they are basically advertising themselves as a place to study, you don't feel like staying there for very long because of these issues. The coffee is good.
Absolutely incredible flavors! The Maya Mocha Latte (infused with cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne & paprika) has a spicy kick perfect for chilly days, the Horchata (also available as an Iced Latte) is sweet and nostalgic, the Chan (chia-seed infused hibiscus lemonade) or the Vampiro Juice (made with beet, carrot & orange) are refreshing and nutrient-rich. The staff are friendly, the service is quick and the prices are good, especially for such high-quality and unique beverage options. The location itself is spacious and quiet, a great study spot. Love it!
Great coffee!
Nice little quiet spot with a decent patio. A good replacement to Bachuss if you want to avoid the crowds.
The location is a close to Westheimer and Montrose Blvd. It is has a lot of sub rooms to go in to feel more comfortable. The table are too narrow it only allows you to put on one items on the table at one time. I had one composition notebook and one regular size portfolio. The portfolio did not fit on the table with both items especially if another person is sitting across from you. I was uncomfortable and figeting around to get a system that worked. I prefer to have hot tea options, but only had espresso, juice, and danishes. The prices are mid to high end it was not worth the extra money spent. I had the vampiro juice with three different juices mixed together. It was an acquired taste but it was great. The cherry danish was dry, dense, and hard. It was not moist and by the end of eating it I was wearing sugar on my clothes and note pads. The noise level if you have disabilities was a little high because of the glass cups and porcelain looking plates. It was a really crowded on Saturday between 10am-12pm. It was no feng shui atmosphere but, closed up sheltered tight area. I moved a few times to get elbow room.
I love this coffee shop, one of my favorites in Houston. Try the cafe de olla for a delicious blend of coffee, cinnamon, and spices. The shop itself is a converted bungalow, and keeps the charm of an older Montrose house
Good place to get work done. Really good wifi connection
Nice atmosphere despite coffee being just ok. Lots of couches and tables to sit-in and do some work, read a book or just have a good chat with a friend.
My absolute favorite spot to grab a coffee and work out of. The ambience is great, the space has fast WiFi and adequate charging points and is very quiet. The coffee and pastries are amazing and the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!
Awesome place for unique spicy flavorful coffee blends plus nice cozy indoors&outdoors seating and some Salvadoran treats.Friendly knowledgeable staff and clean premises with plenty of free parking. Keep up the great work and +ve vibes Campesinoo✌
The Salvadorean tamales are great!! So delicious! But I didn't give it a high rating because there are not many coffee options for my coffee lovers.
The service was a bit slow in regards to the food we ordered.
Great neighborhood place to find good coffee and baked goods. Lots of small rooms to work in and also aiga areas to lay back.
Great place to hangout or work. Good coffee and food at reasonable prices with fast WiFi as well.
If you want a coffee shop that had lots of seating options, and great horchata, then this is the place. May have to park down the street.
Espresso machine was down but regular coffee was good.
Colorful, beautiful and relaxing environment.
I love this place.
Really nice study cafe. Interesting selection of South American coffee drinks. Polite staff.
Coffee program is on point. The cordadito is amazing. Quaint, relaxing.
Tasty juice, coffee and pan dulce. I recommend the vampiro juice.
Beautiful house transformed into a lovely gathering spot with delicious latin coffees.
A charming caffe. Great service and environment:
Service is always timely even when they have a full house. There was fast and courteous service. It has a great feel to it. Menu is like a place in San Francisco I liked.
Nice staff! One of my favorite spots. Perfect atmosphere for people who want to get work or study done!
great ambiance for work..place has a feeling of working from home..coffee varieties are awesome!! you gotta love their coffee cups!!
Great place to get Coffee with a home like vibe
Very low key coffee house with great prices and a friendly atmosphere.
Very quiet. Good place to study
Cute atmosphere and yummy coffee. Service was a little cold but acceptable!
It was hard to find parking here, as expected. The layout is like a house, with many small rooms, which is cool. There are people studying and playing games, but it's extremely LOUD!! Had the Mayan latte and guava empanada, both very sweet. The service was not friendly, didn't say hi or let me know how I'm going to get my drinks.
Horchata latte so good. Atmosphere is cozy and quiet
Coffee was ok, but I generally don’t prefer a coffee place where they serve coffee in to go cups even when u r planning to have it in the coffee shop, i want my coffee in a nice cup, not returning just for this very reason. Place was very quite though if you like it that way.
First time here..quick service..friendly explanation on different types of coffees, mango empanada was realy good. Plan to come again. Good to do some reading, catch up on emails, and just chill and enjoy the coffee and you get a refill with a smile.
Arrived at seven, it wasn't crowded. Staff treated us so kindly. This place has an awesome atmosphere.
I want to move to Montrose area just so I can have an Iced Maya Mocha EVERYDAY!!!
Busy but good
Neighborhood treasure! I've driven my a hundred times and didnt know it was a coffee shop, but I'm so glad I found it because it's perfect! Delicious coffee drinks and proper cafe de olla. And the atmosphere is chill and arty. It reminds me of Spiderhouse in Austin and fits in so well in Montrose. I will soon be a regular here!
Not a coffee guy at all but this place is cool af. Gives me a new Orleans feel because it's like an old house very awesome
Excellent coffee, service and environment. This is my new favorite coffee shop
One of my favorite coffee shops in Houston. Relaxed atmosphere, great coffee and service. Highly recommend.
Probably my new favorite coffee shop. Airy, great coffee, ample space, nice people
Great staff and killer coffee
BLESS this place. The coffee is great- especially the ability to refill all day! It’s quiet and the music isn’t blaring- so you can actually focus. Also- they are really nice and allowed me to order Uber Eats there. Love it!!
Great atmosphere, quiet place to work or study. Good service and selection.
I love the old boho house set up with Latin music. I feel like I am cozy at home.
Best coffee house in houston, very polite staff and lots of seating!
Quiet place for remote working and coffee. The parking lot can get crowded so go during off times.
Great space for collaborative working. I really like their coffee with the cinnamon in it. Their Vampiro Juice is also very good. I definitely recommend.
This is a quaint cozy little place to to just chill. I like the Latin based drinks they have here. Great place to meet someone here.
There's always a spot to study or read. The coffee is fantastic. Their banana chips are supurb.
Ok coffee is still coffee. Theirs is ok. Nice seating, though. Staff not real friendly. Almost like they have better things to do.
Loved the coffee and the patio it's a great little work spot wish they had more food selection and better wifi but that may have been because there were a lot of people there.. overall enjoyed
Have been here twice now and love it! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and unique menu. My favorite drink is the Maya Mocha. Only thing to keep in mind is this place stays pretty busy. Each time, I've been able to find a spot but something to keep in mind. Definitely on my list of favorites in Houston!
I love this place. I didn't know it existed until recently and I live just a few blocks away because it looks like a house. If you want a place to work, with Wi-Fi and great coffee and food this is the best spot in the area.
Probably my favorite coffee shop in Montrose. Cute atmosphere and fantastic coffee.
My favorite coffee shop in Houston! Great coffee options, good vibe for getting work done, many seating options... It's perfect!
Great service, great coffee, perfect location and a cozy place.
Great place for a coffee and delicious tamales
Very tasty drinks and for of. Staff is nice and easy going. It is on the quieter side, but lots of nooks and crannies to sit in
A little less than enthused with the place. Many other better quality places within a mile radius. Ok alternative to Starbucks.
Delicious coffee and the first refill is free, even for specialty coffee! They have a few pastry options, tamales and empanadas. As for the price, I'd say it's exactly what you'd pay anywhere else for coffee but a better value considering the free refills. Atmosphere is great both indoors and outdoors. Very conducive to studying.
Great coffee and atmosphere.
Awesome. Great place for meeting, conversation, wifi, college student hangout
Sweet and cozy coffee shop, had delicious Mexican bread. And Mexican moca.
Fun coffee choices. Nice staff. Cozy space.
My favorite coffeehouse in Houston..and I've been to many. I love the atmosphere, the ambience, and the staff is always super friendly. Their cafe de olla is my absolutely favorite and as soon as I walk, they know what I want. Love this place!
Small place, very cozy and the coffee is great. Prefect place to and relax, read while drinking a great coffee.
Love this cafe. It's an old house with vintage, quirky decor but its CLEAN!! A lot of old houses that are turned into venues or restaurants in downtown HTX are usually left unkempt. This place is nice and clean, the coffee is good, the service is wonderful. Can't wait to come back.
Reasonably priced coffee, rare in Montrose. Plus a really knowledable staff tapped into the local coffee scene and a laid back atmosphere.
Great place, good drinks, I feel like I’m in my house, relaxing, and good music
I love coming here to write! Cheerful, friendly staff, great atmosphere, delicious pastries and coffee. Tamales are nice, too! When I am procrastinating on an unpleasant project, I come here to get it done.
Nics vibe, cozy, good food but Lacks variety and meat options
While my drink was good, my gf couldn't get what she wanted (vampiro juice). The cashier working the register was not friendly at all and all he said is I'm sorry we don't have enough carrot juice to make it. When she asked what kind of sandwiches they have he looked at us and said nothing. Look like he was all too happy to be here. Not impressed by the service what so ever. But at least my drink was good and the atmosphere was nice.
The coffee is the bomb... When I'm in the area this is all I drink... Best coffee around
The cubano coffee here is a perfect beverage for those who enjoy a well dose of caffeine with some sweet added to it. The place feels like a home and it is the ideal location for a "catch up" meeting with an old friend or a study session.
Fell in love with this place immediately. Great place to work on your laptop while enjoying some specialty coffee drinks at a great price. Staff was extremely welcoming, which made for a very positive and comfortable environment. I will be coming back...often. For sure. :)
Excellent & unique coffee shop
Love this place. Good atmosphere, great coffee, and parking was pretty easy
I love this place. Feels like a home away from home.
I have driven by twice now with intents of going inside. The place is a former house, and the parking has remained about what it must have been when people lived there. I'm glad they are successful and often full, but it is annoying that whenever I want to go it is a toss-up whether I will be able to actually get in. Luckily, there are other coffee shops close by if you strike out like me. If I ever become a "lifestyle blogger" and am randomly free on a Tuesday morning at 9am, I might try again.
Love this place, perfect for meetings or private workspace with all the separated rooms. Coffee is delicious!
Great new coffee spot. The guava pastries are delicious too. They have WiFi and outdoor seating.
Loved this coffee in the city.
Great place to meet up with clients or study for midterms! If you’re tired of Starbucks and just want to relax and have some coffee or tea and have good conversation without the running of a blender or overpowering background music, you’ll have to visit this place. The chai tea latte is very good and generous amount. My only gripe is the parking, but that’s what happens in the Montrose area.
I've tried out...well, too many coffee shops all around Houston. Campesino Coffee House is in my top 3 easily. Their coffee variety and flavor is my favorite hands down. If you're feeling adventurous, try out the Red Velvet or Maya Mocha. My personal day to day favorite is Cafe de Olla, so much flavor! Great place to study or have meeting or sit down and relax.
Campesinos coffee is awesome and their seating makes this an excellent place to hang out or study. I'm a med student and finding a perfect coffee shop to plop all day, drink coffee, have lunch and study has been my life mission. I've found that and more at Campesinos. I also love the baristas! They're so helpful and friendly.
Sweet little hidden coffee shop. Comfy seating. Limited non-coffee drinks.
Quiet, segmented spacing indoors. Very conducive for studying. If you don't prefer the bustle of the big coffee chains, you'll enjoy the calm Campesino experience.
The place is cozy and, unlike most of the other coffee shops around town, it's surprisingly quiet, which is a good thing for studying or reading with a good cup of coffee. It's small but can fit over 50 people. Nice little patio outside to sit when the weather is nice.
Relatively quiet with soft music playing. It's on a corner that you would mistake as a house. A nice touch inside with the chimney in the corner. A steady in and out sound from the traffic provides just the right static noise for getting work done. Oh, great coffee too.
The staff is so friendly! I had never been to this coffee shop, but it's such a calm, welcoming environment and I will definitely come back!
Campesino is my favorite coffee shop in Houston. Ample, comfortable seating in a sunny, bright space with plenty of outlets, makes it the perfect place to work. Better yet, no one judges you for working. I have never met a Campesino employee that wasn't friendly, kind, and smiling. They have unique drinks you can't find anywhere else, alongside all of their well-crafted classics. And... of course.. they have empanadas. Thank you for being you, Campesino!
Homey ambience, amazing drinks and a great place to relax and pull out a book or laptop. I recommend the guava empanadas!
Relaxing and quite. I loved the old house with original wood.
Price for the food was too high. Six dollars for a chicken tamale?! It was mostly masa and only had 2 pieces of chicken in it. The coffee was well made and that is the only thing I really liked about this place. I would not come here again.
Really great tasting drip coffee, nice atmosphere; not too loud.
Great little coffee shop with awesome cafe de olla. Quiet and pretty low key. Usually there are enough seat seats for everyone (outdoor seating available too), although parking can sometimes get full but not too bad, really.
the modern and stylish description doesnt doesnt fit for me.homey and comfortable is more accuate. with woodbar closing (may 2019) and southside espresso starting to make their own (2017/8?) Campesino may be the best pastry selection in Montrose
Absolutely essential coffee house. Great for studying by yourself or with a friend, just not large groups. They have a good selection of coffee and other authentic Mexican beverages, and a small selection of well priced pastries.
My new favorite coffee shop in Houston. Solid flavor, solid variety. These folks really respect coffee. Empanadas are a refreshing variety for treats. Wifi is strong. Warm couches and small tables for work and conversation.
Awesome place so nice to see Hispanic owned business that don't sell out. Their pottery was so cute and their coffee and espresso wasn't bitter at all. They could use some new DVDs though.
The inside has a nice study vibe. The patio area is spacious and one of the reasons i like coming here. Customer service is welcoming and pleasant.
Cosy lil coffee shop. Set up like a big house, Latin-inspired food and drinks. I love having my weekly Cafe De Olla here, a must try. And the staff is awesome and super nice.
1. Not cold 2. WiFi s reliable 3. Many outlets even in sofas 4. Coffee s delicious 5. Queit. No music, so that if there s no noisy people, this place is just like a pretty library. Very good for study or work. 6. Pretty interior. 7. Staffs r nice. 8. Parking is limited in front of the cafe, but u can find street parking.
nothing to complain about. the service here is outstanding. prices were decent.
I love this place! A cool, casual, homey ambience that’s perfect for meetings or doing work. I’ve had the cold brew and plain coffee before and it’s all good, but if you’re in the mood for something sweet, get the horchata iced latte! So delicious!
Really cute coffee place with latino flavors. It was nice and quiet but not so much so that I felt uncomfortable quietly talking with my friend or anything. Good place to meet up and chit chat or work on something together. I really liked the black bean tamale and the choripan sandwich.
Staff is kind and genuine. The coffee is unique and delicious. Calm, quiet environment during the week.
Introduction to Cafe de Oaya!!
Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldn't stop. Fast and courteous service. The bill was decent for the quality. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.
Really nice place. Awesome coffee and great atmosphere. My coconut milk was watery though.
Friendly staff, great coffee, get the Cafe de ola on your first visit, no sugar or cream needed.
I had a good experience. The staff was friendly and the coffee was tasty. The place is super cozy. The vibe is bunch of people studying and minding their own business. It was super quiet when I was there ... but it won't take much for it to get loud. The only negative was that the wifi was kind of flaky.
Unique coffee house offerings with latin infused flavors. Friendly barista patiently educated me about the different coffees they offered. Also have your standard expresso drinks. Set in a Montrose bungalow with plenty of seating. Definitely would go back.
The coffee selection could be better. Cafe fee olla is really good to my surprise.
Always great at the coffee shop for el pueblo unido.
Unique tastes in a quiet and relaxing coffee shop. You can work and / or have a conversation in one of the rooms at the Campesino. Coffees are delicious and the staff is very friendly.
Great coffee! My fave is the café de olla
Horchata iced latte is amazing and the empanadas were a good addition too. This is a great coffee shop to bring your laptop and get stuff done, as there are plenty of large tables and sufficient power outlets. There's limited parking spaces in front of the coffee shop, but there's plenty of street parking.
Very nice and great service. Try the Vampiro.
Very cozy and quaint. Customer service was good. The establishment is small but comfortable. The food is way overpriced for what you get but decent. However, my chicken tamale was missing listed ingredients. Not worth the $6.50 so I would never order it again, but I will be back for the horchata and coffee.
Nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. Cafe de Olla is great.
The coffee shop is light and airy. I enjoyed the multiple seating options, drink offerings, and the VHS video selection.
Best coffee shop to get work done and not feel depressed. Lighting is great, outlets a and tables are accessible, coffee is great with seasonal specials! is the best way to treat yourself!
The place was really comfortable with outlets everywhere
Great coffee drinks and food place to work remotely
Great coffee
Doesn't seem like much but a nice place to meet up or work.
i'll return with my friends. it has a nice interior. food is similar to a cafe in portland i loved.
Fantastic customer service!
Great place to meet and hangout with friends!
We tried mocha and burrito we liked both very much. Outside and inside bit sitting is nice too.
Nice and quiet with some comfy seats. Their black bean tamales are great comfort food; definitely would recommend with their Mayan latte! Good for vegans.
Good selection of treats and food, loved the layout and great seating outdoors.
Service is hit or miss, either super friendly or apathetic. I've visited 4 times and tried a new drink each time , they are good but it's nothing to rave about. I would visit if I lived closer, but probably won't visit again.
