I love this place! Really good coffee if you appreciate high quality espresso. Chill atmosphere with plenty of power outlets to do you work on your computer. Amazing staff, especially Chrystal, who let me borrow her personal charger, and makes amazing creme brûlée latte

Restaurant was clean on this visit, restroom could use some upgrading, extra cleaning. Cafe Brazil usually has a pretty good coffee bar, all you can drink for close to 3 dollars, usually has 10+ flavors to choose from. The coffee was okay, a little weaker than what I like, tasted clean and fresh however. Ordered the veggie omelet with side of fruit. Omelet was small which was a little disappointing, fruit was good and fresh, nice portion size, good variety. Pancakes here are pretty thick, 3 are good enough for 2 people. Nice place for brunch.

AVOID! Should have been warned by the dead potted plants by the door. They are a good indication of what’s to come. Service is Slowwwwww. Waitress was friendly enough. Food came out just above room temperature and was awful. Avoid empanadas at all cost. Rubbery and premade then clearly poorly reheated. Sad considering they are one of the few Brazilian dishes.

The place was too dark for the lunch hour . Only one server for the lunch crowd. She was very good in making sure everyone was taken care of. The other young lady, I'm assuming was the hostess who wasn't much help. She only wanted to wrap forks and knives and would direct you to the only server on the floor. No team work. The food was good, I was surprised how fast it came out after she put in our order. I thought it would be a long wait. The service was great. The server gets my respect and a good tip.

Literally a house turned coffee ☕ shop. Really eclectic with a very straightforward menu. Don't expect the Starbucks style, syrup-infused drinks, but rather more explicit coffee. Located in a pretty trendy looking area, this place is worth a stop. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and my time at Crooked Tree. The pastry selection was a bit limited and I wasn't a huge fan of my latte, but I think that was more likely just me, as the rest of my group raved about the drinks. Definitely would go back and give another shot though!

Ummm - well - not the best service - deplorable I am sorry to say. It was not at a busy time either. When I got there there were 2 people at separate tables in this huge seating area. 2 servers took my order but I never got my glass of water, I had to go get it. I came in for some dessert and coffee, the coffee you get from a coffee bar. But the cheesecake was frozen so they microwaved it which ruined it. It was difficult to give the waitress a hard time because she was very nice but also clueless. In all fairness she eventually brought the water, maybe 15 to 20 minutes after I had ordered it. Things will probably never change because there a too many people like me who don't want to put their foot down with somebody's grandmother that doesn't know what she is doing.

I love that I don't have to drive far to eat at Cafe Brazil great spot great food but the wait staff definitely needs help they need to decide whether they have the waitresses working the coffee bar or working the tables we've been on two occasions where they're doing both and they can't tend to the table customers I just don't get it it's happened on several occasions at the same time I always order the Gordo crepes delicious but sometimes one crip is hotter than the other or the other way around I just don't get it I'll continue patronizing because it is so good but I would like all my food to be the same temperature

Went on two occasions since I was staying in the area and didnt know my way around. The food is okay, very simple, service is good. The coffee bar is great! First time had might with turkey, then had huevos rancheros with a side of cinnamon toast.

The Morning Glory muffin I purchased was outdated.. They taped the muffin expiration date on the muffin wrapper which was 08/01. And today is 08/13. I wasn't quite sure of the shelf life of muffins so I Googled it. Much to my surprise muffins are only good for 3 Days refrigerated.. for about 3 months if Frozen.... I asked them how they store their muffins and the waitress told me they are refrigerated. So I just got my $2 back I'm thankful I was able to get a refund. The fruit was ok.. The turkey bacon of course was hard to chew,,,, like most turkey bacon after it gets cold.

When we visit my oldest daughter in Dallas, we love (or "loved", really) to visit a Cafe Brazil, and I always walk out with a pound of my favorite beans, the Kahlua Cocoa. However, no longer. We went to the Bishop Arts location yesterday. Your large parking lot was about 1/3 full, but we still parked towards the back. We ran up a bill for three breakfasts and coffees. I bought beans (your manager in the purple shirt was very helpful). We left your server a nice tip. We then walked down the street to visit a couple of stores. Gone for less than an hour. According to the times on the paperwork we later got from the tow yard compared to the times on the meal receipt, you guys had my car (with obvious out of state tags) towed immediately. When we came back, your parking lot was almost empty, and one of your residential neighbors actually came over to us..."They do this several times a day...they have people they pay to just sit and watch and then call the tow trucks." Our Uber driver told us "The restaurants get kickbacks from the towing companies when they do this." I have worked in the restaurant industry, as have both my daughters. Not only have I NEVER had my car towed? None of us have EVER worked in a restaurant that towed anyone's car. So, that was about $200 we lost on the Uber and the towing bill, not to mention the trip to the disgusting tow yard 10 miles away. But here's the deal...that $200 we lost, well, you lost that too. More than that, really. You lost three loyal customers for good now, and hopefully, more potential patrons will read this, ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE ON YELP WHO WROTE REVIEWS BECAUSE YOU TOWED THEM TOO, and avoid your small business. What you're doing is bad business for the Bishop Arts District, too. One would think that, given the highly competitive restaurant field in the DFW area, you would be concerned about this. Especially now that I came here to write this review, and I can see that other reviews regarding the food and service are terrible. You may want to reconsider your practices. But we won't be back. I'll buy coffee at Walmart before I return to any of your locations.

Great food, lousy service. We waited for over 45 minutes for our food and it came out in sections. Whatever happened to bringing out the food all at once for a group of people? Also who gives out mustard packages as condiments? Is this the school cafeteria or a well established restaurant? Save your funds go somewhere. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the food.

I was looking for a place I could have coffee and journal. Found Cafe Brazil on google and almost headed back to the high way when I saw that it was situated in an arts district. Ordered the unsweetened tea and a spinach omelette. The tea is the best I have ever had and obviously fresh. Red Potatoes well seasoned. Came with a great toasted sourdough. Omelette was good ( not a fluffy one), but the veggies were fresh and it was not brown so overall the food was good. Service fantastic! Atmosphere upscale and popular, full on Saturday brunch time. The only complaint was the silverware is super cheap and the glassware also. It would be better they had mismatched old real silverware from antique or thrift stores. My tine was bent and one of the particular things I like when dining out is the way the glassware and silver ware feels on my lips. But I know about budgets and theft so I do not hold that against them. I would come back.

Tried to call ahead for a to-go order only to get a disconnected number, went online to make a quick order but still was unable to do so, and then decided to walk over which I let the staff know I had been trying to make order so I didn't have to wait. The first waitress said my quick 6 egg order was 4 tickets deep and would take a while. The next said it wouldn't be that long but proceeded to try and charge me $12 for the order which is the same cost of their prime rib and eggs breakfast. By the time we got done with everything more than 15 mins had past so I left hungry and empty handed. Pretty sad that I was unable to get a simple order. Service is not very good anywhere you these days but this is some of the worst in a while. Thanks for ruining my morning and letting a customer leave hungry.

I don't understand how a coffeehouse can have three carafes with two of them empty and one cold. We stepped in to grab a quick cup before a haircut and it took several minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were even waiting. We finally sat down to find out there was hardly any coffee available and once we got our cup at the table, it was cold. Not room temperature - cold. This location is understaffed and never has coffee.

We walked in as family of five and stood in the door. The staff didnt greet us and after couple minutes I asked for a table. Im serious when I say the waiter/greeter threw our menus and silverware on the table and walked off. So after another minute I asked if this was our table and was it ok for us to sit down. He gave us a head nod and I said ok I guess we will sit down. After sitting down we never got water, coffee or any other acknowledgement. The staff walked around us and sat two other couples nearby. They took drink and food orders from the other tables. As the waiter and two waitresses stood by the bar and stared at us talking in Spanish it was clear we were not wanted there. My family normally eat at this location at least three times per month. Never again..............

Went there with a group of friends after class. We were treated nicely, and our server quickly took our order and gave us our individual checks. Food was pretty good too. The have a self serve coffee bar, you can get yourself a cup of coffee over and over and only get charged once I believe. We managed to get an assignment done thanks to their wi-fi.

Today was the first time going to Cafe Brazil and it was the last time! Once we were seated, we were to into our discussion that we didn’t notice 30 minutes had passed before we flagged down the person that sat us to ask for our waitress. The whole time we were there we never knew who our waitress! We kept getting ignored and an explanation that the waitress was busy and the waitress that finally took our order just up and walked out without letting us know. I think a one star is giving this place too much! Never coming here again!

I went here with my boyfriend and it was just bad. The waitress was fine but the food and beverages were bad. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was cold, I asked for a new one and instead was brought a latte (I don't like coffee), then our food came out. My boyfriend had requested sausage and he was brought bacon, I had asked for an omelette. The broccoli on my omelette was cold, the cheese was not even melted and the ingredients were even even mixed in with the eggs or even sandwiched between the two layers. My eggs were so oily and tasted like they had been sitting out for 30 minutes prior to the ordering of my omelette. The potatoes that were served with were cold and flavorless. I tried eating it but after 1/3 way through I couldn't do despite how hungry I was. I still even paid for my full bill despite me not even drinking my beverage because it was incorrect. DO NOT GO HERE. Not worth all the mess ups.

Well, this wasn't the most pleasant experience. The wait for the food was long and when asked to correct the order, they forgot to put the new order in. When the new order was placed they forgot to check again. I wasn't asked for my drink order. Staff seemed to not be all there when asked questions about the menu, condiments, restaurant, etc. Then due to the location the parking is terrible. I'd prefer to not visit again.

So this place has really changed over the last couple of years. Its consistantly bad service because it's not properly staffed. I've often had to wait over 10 minutes in the evening to get drinks and a menu. I haven't had the same problems during the day because it seems to be more properly staffed. When I've made phone pick up orders or uber delivery orders they are often wrong. Also, their menu has changed for the worse. Just my experience and opnion. Try it for yourself and see.

Second time I ordered Eggs Benedict, I get fried eggs. I guess they figured no one can tell the difference, well I can. The salsa is bleh, coffee bar lacks variety.

I live in bishop arts and have been going to this location for the past year. It only seems to be getting worse. They have a patio door that slams shut every time a server or patron opens it. I’ve mentioned this to management several times but they clearly don’t care. It’s still slamming shut and you can hear it throughout the entire restaurant. I keep going back because I love the coffee selection and the fact that it’s right down the street. However, I will not be back. We waited over an hour for our food (It never came) and not once did we see management on the floor dealing with their restaurants’ poor service. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. The management and company doesn’t care enough about their business or guests. You’ll be able to tell when you walk in and see how poorly kept this location is. Bishop Arts has better dinning options and restaurants that care about your business. I’m not a hater, I just care about where I spend my hard earned money.

I have dined at several Cafe Brazil restaurants over the years. I visited this location for the first time about a month ago. My second time visiting was today, and it will be my last. The first time that I visited, the service was slow. There were about 5 tables in the entire restaurant and it still took an hour to get our food. Today, on top of it taking an hour to get food, we had the following issues: - A table sat next to us about 25 minutes after we got there and got their food about 20 minutes before we did. They ordered similar items and had more people. They also had the same server as us. -When my food came out it was ice cold. He said that he would take care if it and took it to the back to microwave it. I could tell because the center of the food was extremely hot when it came out, while the rest was warm. -Our server came to our table 3 times- to ask for our order, to bring the meal and to bring the check. Anytime we needed something, I had to get up and ask another server. -I substituted two things in my meal and both things came as described in the menu. When I mentioned it to my server, he took the entire meal without asking me if I was finished and walked off. After this, he did not return to our table and instead sent his colleague to handle the bill with us. -We arrived at 11:25 am and didn’t get out until 1:15 pm. And that was not because we were taking our time. It literally took that long to get our food. Very disappointed, would not recommend.

So disappointing, I went to this place a few years ago at a different location and was so excited to come back as I had good memories. This place SUCKED, from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The service was terrible, we had to arrange our own table, the food was cold, they forgot to take the order of some of our party, the food lacked flavor, the mimosas are made with some cheap sparkling wine, the only star it gets is for the coffee as that was nice but not even hot and needed refilling. Such a shame- don’t bother coming here, I recommended it to my family and now I feel terrible that we came here, wasted money, had an un enjoyable experience and everyone has left with a sour taste in their mouth from the food and the experience.

Waiter was not into being at work this day or something. Nachos were piled up high but dry. We ordered pitcher of Momosia its was ok, more than sure it was more oj than champagne. When they rung me up the cost 4.00 over than what should have been charged. They told me machine was down and it was nothing they could do about it. Yeah not today. They end up giving me gift card. This place is absolutely horrible. My family ate Here and had our car towed within 30 minutes of us being here. They are scammers who have spotters watching your every move. One family member decided to walk across the street while WE WERE STILL INSIDE EATING AND THEY STILL TOWED OUR CAR!!!! mind you we had two babies with us under two years old!!! We are from out of town and we had my brother sister in law and my mother in a Tahoe plus the babies. We sat on the Side walk for an hour and a half until my brother could get his vehicle back! In that time frame we watched 3 other vehicles get towed!!! Their is a lady in a white Nissan that is what they call the spotter!!! Do not eat or park here you will regret it!!!

In Dallas for my daughter's HS Graduation and just driving around this morning, looking for a non-Starbucks coffee shop. I got off the main road and noticed this place on the corner. The look was unique, the parking lot full. I gave it a shot. 10:30 on a Sunday morning, things were hopping. Many full tables, servers in Cafe Brazil tees porting full plates and clearing very empty plates. I had a seat at the small counter and perused the well-designed menu. I had come for coffee and ended up wolfing down a Mexican Omelet, rosemary potatoes, toast and three cups of their various self-serve flavored coffees. I travel often for work. When in Dallas (homebase) I eat at CB 1-2 a week. I order the same thing. Everytime. The food is (almost) always excellent. The service however has always been hit or miss. Good when good, the worst possible when not. One of the items I "always" order is the Spinach Salad. When attempting to place my typical order today, I was told the Spinach salad was not on their menu. I explained I'd had one earlier in the week. Told again, more firmly, it's not on our menu SIR! Good. GFY. I'll be eating at buzzbrews going forward and encouraging everyone I know in the city to join me. This is the beauty of the free market. Good luck CB. I'll NOT be seeing you.

Not at all like the other locations I've visited around Dallas. I ordered the fruit french toast as usual it came out looking like some one just threw up fruit salad in my plate. And the orange juice tasted like a bitter acid mess. I literally had to check the signage when I left to make sure it indeed said Cafe Brazil. Super disappointed!

Very slow service. Had to wait 10 minutes for waters and looks like there was only one server on. Eventually the hostess came and took our order but our waters were never filled again. It was painful to watch multiple tables being sat and waiting 15+ minutes to be served, greeted or just gotten water. It's sad to see Cafe Brazil go downhill. We saw several people get up and walk out.

My friends and I went to have breakfast and review for our class this morning. We had been going for the past two years to study while in our nursing program. We were shocked by how badly the manager treated us. At 8:00 in the morning they were blasting music where we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk. Then we asked the manager if we could turn the music down, she didn’t even say anything and walked away. We asked another waitress who said she would check and she explained to us that they couldn’t accommodate that. After that they didn’t serve us or take our order we just sat around waiting. They lost a loyal customer by not being accommodating. No one needs to have music that loud at 8:00am. Worst management service ever.

Came to have brunch with the family for the first time at this cafe. Right when we walked in the manager walked right passed us without saying welcome or anything . They took at least 20 minutes to send a waiter over to our table. Once we ordered, the food took a long time to get here and nobody would notify us how much longer... While another man who came in at the same time as us received better service/attention than us and got to eat and leave while we were STILL waiting for our food. Don’t plan on coming back anytime soon...

Great salad was my choice.....the salsa was fantastic. The ingredients were fresh. The staff was helpful in describing the menu items. Bobby enjoyed the the BBQ Burger. It was large, fresh and worth the $$$. Great place to eat.

Towed a veterans car for no reason. I witnessed several families cars being towed and they were parked in a Café Brazil parking spot. Reached out to corporate office as this is not right. They gave me an I’m sorry statement. If a paying customer is at your establishment please do what it takes to advise your customers. There are other ways of doing things.

Had some awesome pancake tacos that I would highly recommend, the savory ones. Took away one star because they ran out of mugs to serve coffee and it took them so long to resolve the issue I ended up taking my coffee to go. The waiter was very kind and apologetic, but I obviously would have preferred coffee with my meal.

We got there and was seated right away but after 15 no one had come by to take our drink order. I could understand if they were busy but only five other tables were occupied. We left and went somewhere else.

Cafe Brazil has always been Cafe Brazil - good for groups, late night breakfast, unlimited coffee. This last time, we went in around 8pm and even though there were only 2 tables, both service and food were awful. We asked to sit on the patio (typically it's nice in the evenings and you can hear live music from the opposite corner.) They let us sit out there, but they refused to turn the patio lights on or open the patio cover. It took almost 45 minutes for our food to reach the table. The cheese fries were still great. But my sister and I each ordered the crepes we always get and both came out dry and overcooked. Our friend said his chilaquiles was gross. My husband said his quesadilla was 'eh.' We won't be visiting this location again.

I have never had decent or prompt service at any Cafe Brazil and this one is no exception. Only 2 servers during the lunch rush and only one person in the kitchen. Are you kidding me? And it's always like this. Every time. The reason I go back is because the food is actually good, damnit. That's after you've waited long enough that anything would be good, though...

Won't return! Family of five with my cousin visiting. Stood awhile before our menus were thrown on the table and we had to ask is this our table? Waited for a waiter or waitress..nothing. Table that was seated after us was asked if they wanted drinks. Really? We walked out! Never going back

I did not get a chance to go into this place. I went to Joy's, smaller business, down the road before coming back and my rental car got towed. From the other reviews I can see why this happen. Was trying to enjoy Dallas because I had a day off and it was sunny but someone from there must have had a bad day to call the towing company on me. I would requirement not parking there even if your in the cafe.
