At the moment the business receives a rating of 4.6 out of 5 and that rating was based on 401 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is virtually the best one, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the rating is quite reliable. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Coffee shop.
It's a small place. I was there on a Sunday and many of the seats were filled with readers and laptop people. Sunday is not an ideal to go there as the selection is somewhat sparce. The coffee was good. Two regular coffees and a slice of apple cake came to about $7.50.
Love this place! both food, tea, and atmosphere. I don't drink coffee so I can't say much about that but they have a good tea selection and snacks as well. Only thing is that they can sometimes get too packed...
ALWAYS perfect! Great customer service, some sense of humor and truly good coffee.
This is my favorite coffee shop in Houston. I moved here from Austin a couple of years ago and the first thing I wanted to find was a place with good coffee, good staff, and a good clientele. They have all of it. It's a great place to hang out with a few friends or to sit and read or get some work done by yourself.
I'm so happy they've finally reopened after Harvey! Friendly service, great coffee, eclectic decor that is wonderful to look at while chilling and using their free WiFi.
Love the varitey of coffee. Renovation goes very fast! Cannot wait to see your new shop. See you in 2 weeks :)
This place is the best, idk what Raven is talking about it (seems like she only gives negative reviews) every time I come here I'm greeted politely, all the employees are very welcoming. The only bad thing about it is that it's not closer to my house :,( Overall this place has awesome coffee :)) and a pretty nice atmosphere (the type of place where you can get comfortable and study for hours) I'll definitely keep stopping by!
Best coffee in the area!!
Beans Cafe, y'all! This little nugget is so cozy. I have been hunting for a quaint little place to study and I think I found a gem. I got a "Go Bananas" frozen drink and it was very good. The barista was friendly and worked hard to please everyone. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There are plenty of seats and tables for working. Wifi and printing available! Not to mention some good eats that I'm excited to try. Super happy with Beans Cafe and I will be back. You should definitely give it a try.
Their iced vanilla lattes are really good and flavorful. The atmosphere of the cafe is really nice to get a lot of work done. The cafe is super cute and quiet but something about it makes it very cozy. I love coming here to get a lot of work done.
In my search for alternatives to Starbuck. Beans Cafe is a gem in the energy corridor. Great coffee and friendly staff. The place is cozy and feels like family space. I can easily interact with other customers, but as well I can feel in my own world if studying or working is the plan. Highly recommended
Awesome. So happy I found an alternative to Starbucks nearby. Friendly, low-key environment and coffee that tastes like it was made by a human. HOWEVER their to-go coffee lids suck. EDIT: I just saw the review below, and I would like to point out that I am THRILLED that they don't allow handguns. I can actually bring my family there and not feel threatened. Nice!
Visited Fri evening I think. Next time I'll be back with my friends. The bill was decent.
So happy they’re back open! It was literally the first place I checked for when I was finally able to move back home. Nice to see things are getting back to normal around the area. Just hope they resume their pre-Harvey hours soon so I can get some work done and it feels like old times Add on: I think they may have changed owners. It’s still as great. Though it does seem to get louder sometimes now because they have some sort of art classes going on. The idea is great and it adds more character to the place. The only complain I have about that is that there’s something about either the materials they use or someone’s perfume/cologne, but it gives me a horrible headache and really bad allergies to two of my friends. I think it’s the materials for me, because I’ve never had an issue with perfumes but I don’t know what the cause is for others. Most of the time they do the class outside, which is much better, but sometimes they do it indoors. It’s when they do it indoors that I know I need to take claritin, tylenol and buy noise cancelling headphones. Actually, I started carrying a pill box with extra claritin and tylenol just in case lol. It would be nice if there was better ventilation or they could try to keep it outdoors.
Liked the atmosphere, the staff and the latte.
So happy to see Beans back up and running! The rebuild turned out beautifully and it kept all of it's charm. The Dirty Chai Lattes are still the best in town. Friendly staff, delicious foods, and great atmosphere.
Amazing atmosphere!! Matcha coconut latte is the best!!
Such a cute little cafe! Great for studying, relaxing, or even business meetings! The coffee is authentic and really tasty. The staff are friendly and just overall a delight! Cannot recommend enough!
My favourite coffe spot on the west side of Houston. Great coffee, great service and a great atmosphere:)
It smells like heaven
What a gem! When you first walk in, you are greeted with a bunch of fluffy wing tip chairs arranged like small living rooms. Very comfy. This place is an independent coffee shop that supports other local business owners. The owner knows her coffee and can direct you if you want to try something new. The coffee is fantastic and you absolutely must try the pistachio muffin. I am definitely coming back here!
This place is AMAZING. Lots of comfy seating, friendly staff, delicious food and coffee, outlets and wi-fi. This is now my go-to study place.
Sweet quiet atmosphere. Good coffee, although it could've been a bit hotter. Simple. Looks like a good place to go and get some work done. I enjoyed myself.
This is a great cafe. The atmosphere is really great and the beverages are awesome. I hope they recover from the Hurricane.
Quiet, almost always somewhere to sit. Good, healthy choices for snacks. Good coffee. Friendly, cozy, clean. Outside seating available.
The interior of this coffee shop is absolutely cozy; just what we were looking for before our busy Saturday started. The breakfast bagel I had was cooked perfectly - not too cold and not too hot. I tried the coconut cream tea latte, which was so good (the loose leaf tea had a nice aroma to it). The drink was smooth, and their to-go cups actually protect your hands from hot beverages! Super friendly staff, will definitely come back here to try more things from the menu.
My go to place no matter what
My favorite cafe on the west side of Houston hands down. Been coming here for over 8 years.
Enjoyable setting, good coffee, tasty deserts. I really enjoyed the nitro cold brew - very smooth!
I've had coffee here only 3 times within 2 years but have really enjoyed the coffee every time. It's a little hard to see from road. Look for the BBQ restaurant and UPS sign. This coffee house is PACKED every time I've come here and there's an interesting mix of hipster and corporate vibe. I think one time there was no seat so I just had to walk back out with my drink. What I love are the unique flavor combinations and varieties. Their cold mocha is delicious but high in sugar. Would come back.
Slowest drive EVER, and there was only 2 other customers that had already been served, horrible coffee, but very very strong only selling point!
Good coffee and study environments. Only reason for the -2 stars is I understand "no outside food or drinks", but asking me to get rid of sparkling water is a bit extra. So yeah, dont bring sparkling water with you lol. Moreover, Houston ordinance prohibits smoking within 25 feet of an establishment unless it is a restaurant or bar... employees smoking casually next to the entrance and exist reflects poorly on the establishment.
Great quality coffee and staff! The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, I love the rotating art that covers the walls too. This small local cafe is my go to when I need my espresso fix!
Coffee too better and strong... need a new supplier. Sorry, I used to love this place but lately the code it's so bad. Couldn't drink it. Coffee lovers will know.
Love it... the atmosphere is awesome. Laid back, relaxing, and great staff. I will definitely be back...
Great coffee, greater people.
My favorite spot for coffee in my area. Warm welcoming. Great seating inside and outside. Yummy bagels and muffins.
Authentic little coffee shop with good coffee and nice bagels
A place to get a solid not bitter iced latte. Not a place to try to have a conversation though. But a great place to sit in the corner and people watch and do what your parents said was rude. Portland bagel on sesame seed is also on point.
Great atmosphere, very helpful staff, no 'big chain' feel. On the go or kick back and settle in for a bit- very comfortable setting. The various pound cakes are great warmed up!
cozy place to read, study and drink a coffee. Staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is chill :)
Good study/work spot.
World maps, local craft brews and wine, local coffee, and amazing staff - Bean Coffee is a perfect little spot for doing some work and enjoying some delicious local coffees. The staff is so down to earth and very helpful. They recommended the Sticky Buns with an extra shot and YUM! I also tried the seasonal Pumpkin Horchata and both are so tasty and well made. I wish I lived here to make this a frequent stop, but when I'm back this way, I'm definitely stopping in, and you should too!
Good drinks, kind staff, drinks spilled over cups made things messy.
Great coffee! Fun place.
Quiet, local coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere. They serve Boomtown Coffee, a high quality bean that is locally roasted. The drink menu is quite varied and includes made-to-order smoothies. The service is always friendly. They also have a selection of snack items such as muffins, hummus & pita chips, etc. Definitely an upgrade from your local Starbucks, and one of the best cups of coffee you'll find in the immediate area.
Great service and peaceful atmosphere
Great cafe with lots of character.
This reminded me of a few spots I've been to in other "cafe" type cities. Or to say it another way, was very remeniscant of what you would find in a place with strong, cafe culture. Pretty good drinks, not too complex of a menu, and friendly and somewhat bohemian environment. Would go back if nearby.
Really really tasty coffee beverages. I would wager that this is the best craft coffee on the west side. You’ve got comfy indoor and outdoor seating areas with an assortment of furniture and board games from which to choose. Friendly staff and baristas and espresso beverages that have real flavor! I’m so glad I discovered this spot: a great find for college students accounted to “coffee shop vibes” for studying.
Love this cafe, good snacks and coffee
Great coffee. Soy milk latte is superb. Great decor and atmosphere. Relaxing place to hang out in.
Love this place! Good coffee, better people
Very good coffee. Emil
Went there this morning for the first time... I ordered hot white mocha, it was serve last, was already cold and wrong coffee... The Server/Cashier told us unapologetically that our order were mixed up and the just left our table without offering a replacement. That's the kind of service I was least expecting.
Nice concept...nice people on both sides of the counter...i haven't eaten any food..but coffee is very strong and very bitter..i personally like it morning time with a small shot of Pirelli offered in wooden trail...its different...it seems to be a family business..so no bad coments...they do their best...i like it
Excellent brew! Very pleasant to sit and read or write.
Good choice of place to have a cup of coffee or tea.
Quiet, laid back coffeehouse with a few select menu items. Has a loyalty program.
Best coffee shop in energy corridor by far. They have great coffee, good atmosphere, and people were complaining its crowded, thats the whole point you go to coffee shops to see/mingle with others, otherwise i can go to library to study. Keep up good work guys
Nice local coffeehouse - usually packed. Closes early on weekends.
I have been there tens of times, and it’s become my favorite coffee place. The milk chocolate is perfect. Very reasonable prices and great atmosphere.
Great coffee & tea, yummy treats and lovely lunch. Free wifi and friendly staff
Awesome place for a read and hot coco!
A bit pricey for what is offered. Coffee is good though.
The coffee here is great. I usually just get their regular coffee. It's self serve with unlimited refills. They usually have multiple choices of coffee to choose from and they're always excellent. The staff has always been very welcoming and makes you feel at home.
Cozy and not as loud as Starbucks.
Espresso mocha tastes so good with real peppermint candy. They give big uniform discount.
Decor is pretty and drink selection is good. The chairs aren't super comfy ( personally consider that important for a coffee shop). Also, could improve the ambience by playing more unique music. While i was there, they played only popular music so gave the feel of a bar rather than a Cafe.
Lovely little place worth going for when you want a casual coffee and light breakfast. Good atmosphere too
Very good coffee. 3types of cold brew. Service ok. Not a place to hang out in but good coffee all the same.
Out of my way, but I always like stopping by when I can. Good coffee, small but okay selection of beer. Good place to study by yourself or maybe onenother. But bring some earphones/buds, they can have the music loud.
Great place to sit and work or just read a book! Great staff and awesome teas!
Nice atmosphere. Good outdoor sitting. Friendly staff. Coffee was meh.
Great coffee, music, ambiance, games and staff.
If someone knows how to make coffee is Beans cafe, not to mention the atmosphere is wonderful to just sip some coffee in any kind of day or maybe go study, meet some friends or like i do have a treat after a bike ride! Love it
Always a good time here. Really comfortable chairs, great for studying! I order a new wake me up tea - it was amazing! I like how the paintings and decorations change to support local artist.
They reopen after Harvey, still keep their signature coffee and good automosphere for study, reading. I really like this coffeeshops, which reminds me the library and my college life .
Looking forward to going back again. Prices are appropriate.
Atmosphere isn't great but the coffee was good. Staff was nice too.
One of my favorite coffee houses in Houston! Great quality coffee and a great place to study any day of the week
A very comfortable home type of feel to it. Great service from the staff and the drinks were good. Reasonable prices as well. I will come again for study nights or just laid back reading.
This coffee shop was a new experience for my husband and I, we enjoyed it! Traditional setting, loved the shelf with games, and food and drink was delicious!!
Great place for coffee and a muffin. Nice atmosphere. Nice people
Amazing place! Great coffee great people great everything!
An excellent place to get work done. And the coffee is better than Starbucks
The owner and Mary are very sweet the whole cast up there are amazing
Ordered a flat white and a berry smoothie. The place was pretty full inside and the patio. Line was short and the order was completed pretty fast. The coffee was good but the smoothie was just okay. I would recommend to anyone looking for a coffee and a place to chill or people watch.
Yummy cakes and muffins, with a nice selection of teas both hot and iced. The coffee smells great but I'm not a coffee drinker.
WONDERFUL place for coffee n visiting with friends. Give this place a try. Family owned with a great atmosphere. Oh Yes, did i say the BEST coffee ever?!!
Great place to have a drink and relax, staff are very friendly and the coffee is the best I have had in Houston. The layout is a mix of comfy chairs ideal for relaxing a and tables that are great for study/work activities.
This is a great coffee shop! The staff is super nice, and the coffee and baked goods are awesome!
My only complaint would be the high turn over rate of staff. Everyone there is wonderful. Everything I've had to eat or drink has been great. I took my husband who doesn't drink coffee normally and Nick made sure my husbands drink had everything he wanted. Great place.
I always like to find a local coffee shop when traveling for work. This spot did not disappoint. Great food and coffee/tea choices. Very reasonably priced. Chai tea latte and bagel sandwich we're both delicious. And extremely friendly staff. Will definitely be back here again before leaving town!
Combucha drink love it
You gotta come here for the morning coffee and sweet treat..... best shop ever.....
Houston, we have a winner! The coffee is distinctly superior but today's pistachio muffin really sealed the deal. This place has the goods, and if you're one of the people who like to support local businesses (yay!) and leave the huge chains to others, then here's a great place for you. You'll feel MOST at home if you bring a laptop, but we didn't have ours and they still let us in to lounge about in the very comfy armchairs ; )
As far as the flavor goes, the beans can definitely compete. The decor reminds me a trendy and colorful atmosphere. Its cozy to relax, the crowd is mellow, yet the menu is decently priced. Fair variety altogether, worth trying if your in the area.
Best Westside coffee, 3 thumbs up.
Great local coffee shop with good prices and fantastic drinks.
Support your local coffee shop! Great coffee and friendly staff.
What else is there to say. Starbucks is better. This place is anti guns. The signs are tacky tacky tacky. Anti guns is pro terrorist and anti safety. Go ahead get robbed. Put my safety last. If you dont like open carry then say no open carry but no guns equals no safety and no money.
We LOVE this place!!! Wonderful welcoming atmosphere! Delicious coffees!!!
Great coffee, tea and light snack/lunch offerings. My go-to neighborhood place
I like this place, an eclectic style, very comfortable and good place to work and speak with friends. I love it and recommended it.
Nice ambience but a little expensive for my liking.
Prices at this cafe is pretty reasonable - the bagels are nice. I've tried the Portland (cream cheese with salmon) and the Ham and Cheddar bagels. You can choose which bagel to put it on. I've also tried the pistachio muffin, it was nice but I wouldn't crave for it. I tried the cake slices they have, the marble slice is quite nice. Coffee I have tried their doppio espresso, flat white and cappuccino. All mediocre. It's a good place to hang out - It gets quite packed during late mornings.
Best tea and best place to look for coffee
Great place for a quick bite and some incredible coffee. Super friendly staff .
A hidden gem in the energy corridor with comfortable seating and work space. Definitely better than most in terms of utility with the addition of multiple outlets, decent wifi, and even a printer. Coffee is energizing and fairly priced.
Great coffee! Try the Nitro coffee if you like full-bodied and cold coffee with a foamy head. I can drink that without cream and sugar it's that good.
I like this place, very cozy, but they close early at 8:00 pm!! I hope they delay their closing until 10pm.
Great chai.
Such a beautiful quiet place. Always a nice can come here and finish a paper and or book it’s nice to even see that after Harvey there is normalcy in the community. Thank you for continuing to be a HUGE staple
Nitro cold brew is awesome
Favorite local coffeehouse in the Energy Corridor. Friendly baristas, good coffee and food, live music and events, and an overall relaxed, comfy-home coffee shop vibe.
The owner is supporting her neighborhood library Kendall, (while it is close for repair), by inviting the HPL Book Mobile to setup in the parking lot. Book Mobile dates, Wednesday Jan. 30, Feb.13, and 27, and March 13, 2019 Come by and visit us, you might just see a Kendall staff member. Best of all you can get a cup of your favorite drink at Beans, and browse the books in the Book Mobile van.
Good place... good coffee and to sum up ..they know what they are doing.
The most relaxing place on earth! The servers are always very funny and helpful! The drinks are always so healthy and full of flavor! Makes Starbucks seem like a McDonald's
Great small coffee spot. Have a variety of choices and some comfortable seats. Nice location to chill and study. There is also a small outdoor place as well.
Fantastic spot with excellent food and most importantly, coffee. Great place for post Parkrun hangouts.
I really like this coffee shop. Service is always excellent, the staff is very friendly. The drinks and the food is always really good.
Good coffee very nice service and a quiet place to hang out and work. Great product. It's a good alternative of Starbucks
Due to most of the reviews, we were excited to drive about half an hour to come here for coffee. Unfortunately when we received our lattes it was extremely disappointing. We were served in paper Solo cups instead of coffee mugs which was very unsatisfying. All the pictures posted had beautiful beverages with latte art and looked appetizing, don’t let that fool you. It was not a great experience for us and don’t think I will ever come back here. You only have one chance for a first impression and this place did not meet my standards. The only good thing out of this experience was the relaxed environment and was close enough to La Madeline to have real coffee.
Cute little coffee place. I can't decide what to order but the cashier was super nice. Unlike most of the Starbucks place, this place makes you lfeel cozy and relaxed. The place is full when I was here but people are very quiet when they talk. So you don't feel crowded at all. There's only one person behind the counter so she was super busy, but still very attentive. They have interesting pairings and different style colors of couches, makes this little place very unique. I like my coffee bit sweet and she suggested the most popular nutty brown cow coffee. The sweetness just to my taste so I don't have to do anything to it. Love it. Bagel came out to be hot and toasty, pretty fresh. Overall very nice coffee house to visit. P
Quiet, quaint, and yet bursting with personality. They care about their customers and about their coffee, offering a broad range of delicious and flavorful options. Their baristas are friendly and happy to advise on their personal favorite blends. I've been here several times and will continue to come back.
Drive 10 miles three days a week to be here. Coffee is amazing and Baristas are awesome. Also, strongly recommend Chai latte and Coconut Tea.
Great dark roast coffee
Nice place
This is a cute little coffee shop in the Energy Corridor. I was looking for a non-Starbucks option to go in order to get some work done. There are plenty of "workstations" here and they have free Wi-Fi. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte and got the Cranberry Muffin. The muffin was very, very good and it's HUGE! It definitely hit the spot. The Chai Tea was also good. I loved the prices...very affordable....cheaper than Starbucks! :) So I came here on a whim and got a chai latte with hemp milk. That was awesome! It was creamy and pretty good! Idk if it's the milk though but it had a pretty nutty flavor, so even though I liked it, I think I'll stick to almond next time. Anyway, what I really wanted to post a review about was the WiFi. Dang it is not good at all! I mean I read some reviews to see if I'd be able to work in here, and I blindly assumed that everyone else (I only read 6 reviews, I'm lazy) had had a good experience. The environment is chill. No one talks (I prefer less talking so I don't get distracted) so it is good for me. I mean, it's not crickets chirping, but it's really minimal noise. The parking lot gets pretty full, but thankfully, there is additional parking in the back. I will definitely be back!
A great place to hang out and now you can enjoy the different ice creams.
Super quaint and cozy. Wonderful coffee too!
One of the best coffee places in the energy corridor area. Excellent coffee although a tad bit expensive than Starbucks. Great place to study and work. A very good alternative to Starbucks.
came here on a friday i think. quick and friendly service. it has a cool atmosphere. kinda of like a restaurant in los angeles i liked to visit.
My first time here and it was a great and comfortable setting. Made me happy to know they have some awesome pastelitos with meat or chicken. They were delicious and I had a cortado YUM! The owner is very genuine and caters to ever customer like if they are family. GREAT location as well. Thank you!
Excellent, polite personable service, and great coffee and food!
Nice place to sit and drink coffee. Remodeled and came back even better after Hurricane Harvey. They have good smoothies in addition to their coffee drinks.
Really cute little coffee shop and the employees are really nice :)
Great time... Good beer...
Love having a local alternative to S-bucks. Good coffee, comfortable spot, nice other offerings. Glad to see they're back after the flood. Local means never having to say "venti"!
Great coffee, great and friendly service, nice atmosphere. I truly enjoy this place. My only concern is that there is a sign at the door that basically states that no guns are welcome. I appreciate and respect the fact that it is the business owner's right and that it's private property. I don't appreciate that this infringes on my civil liberties and my constitutional rights. That's no different than telling a Jewish man that he cannot wear his kippah (yarmulka) or that someone wearing a gay pride flag will not be served. The right to keep and bear arms is no different than the right to freedom of religion and speech. To me it is the same mentality as believing in freedom of religion but only if you are Christian. I served in the military and took an oath to protect the constitution. Unfortunately, its this type of mentality and ignorance that's shedding negative light on responsible, law abiding gun owners that are just trying to protect themselves and their families. Twice I was nearly robbed at work. One of those times a robber had my cashier at gunpoint. The only saving grace that I had was the fact that I was armed and neutralized the situation WITHOUT anyone getting hurt. Food for thought, if someone has malicious intent towards that business or any other isn't going to obey the "No guns allowed" sign. People just don't understand that this doesn't disarm criminals, just law abiding gun owners.
Monday is toddler day. Don't go unless you like listening to tired children screaming because their inconsiderate mothers won't take them home for nap time. In addition to the slit-your-wrist-emo garbage on the radio. Used to come here all the time. Maybe a new owner? Don't like the changes.
People were extremely nice and the atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. The chairs here will make you want to stay sunk into them all day. The coffee itself was delicious, too.
This place serves delicious coffee concoctions and has a great ambience. It's a wonderful place to have a cup of joe and read or study for exams.
One of the few non chain cafes left in the area. Has a local feel to it and the staff are all friendly.
the service was friendly and sociable. similar to a cafe in las vegas i loved.
After reading all the reviews my wife and I decided to try it on a Saturday afternoon. Place was busy ordered a latte and a flat white. Both were lukewarm at best and so so on taste this is why I am giving it a 1 star,. Prices are comparable to Starbucks.
Good selection of drinks, some good food options (kolaches), and great atmosphere with awesome servers.
With few exceptions, staff is warm, welcoming, and friendly. Good selection of brewed coffee, espresso drinks, pastries, light meals, and even bottled beer. Provides an OK space to work on your laptop away from your home or office.
A good place to study, play board games, or even have a beer or wine with a good book. They have plenty of outlets for devices and there is enough space for you and a couple of friends to meet up together. It was a respite for me when I was in town caring for an MD Anderson patient and I highly recommend.
They are such hard workers and the coffee is so good and so much better then starbucks I love it so much
Comfy place ; great coffee
Love going here to study, wish they had more snacks though
My favorite coffee shop in Houston! Friendly staff and great drinks & food! Chill environment. So glad you guys are bouncing back post Harvey!
Good latte!
Coffee is okay but not better than Starbucks. I was hoping for something special and maybe a little different as I'm always on the hunt for awesome small, local coffee shops. Cakes are too sweet. The owner could have been more attentive to customers. Limited seating
Love the coffee, atmosphere, and the vibe of this coffeehouse. Hidden gem is the sausage and jalapeno kolache. Best place for coffee in the Energy Corridor District.
Got a mango smoothie, it was pretty good. Place seemed pretty lively.
