REVIEWS OF Rembrandt's Coffee House IN Tennessee

Rebecca Stanfield

Don't miss this little coffee shop tucked in the middle of Bluff View Art District, Chattanooga TN. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is superb! Just finished the BEST Tomato Artichoke Soup I've ever had. The decor is warm and rustic. The Hunter Museum is right across the street. We'll be back!

Nichole Mollica

Great little place! Reasonable prices, good food, trendy comfy atmosphere... What else do you need?

Dana Burr

Great atmosphere. Most especially the grotto. Nice collection of baked good and chocolates go nicely with the fresh brewed coffee available. Worthy of the trip.

Morgan Smith

Great espresso, location, and ambiance. Ordered a triple espresso over ice with a little cinnamon powder and loved the quality and taste. I grew up coming to this place, and after some years away it's good to see that it's still thriving.

Jen Ventura

We went here tonight and the girl up front took our order and had a really bad attitude towards us. We didn’t leave her a tip specifically because she was rude to us and we saw her be rude to the customers ahead of us too. She gave us a dirty look when she saw we didn’t give her a tip. We stood there and waited for our 2 simple pastries and she just played on her phone and wouldn’t get them for us. We kept wondering if we were supposed to keep waiting but she helped the family after us and immediately gave them their order. We finally asked her what the deal was and she asked us what we ordered??? Then she got them and handed them to us and there was a giant hair on mine!! We just threw them away and left. Didn’t even ask for my money back because I didn’t want to deal with her again.

Donovan Kirkpatrick

Delicious coffee. Incredible selection of fine pastries and savory foods. The atmosphere is very European and is so lovely.

Urs Georges

Great outside seating and food was super nice!

Sam Hunt

I never go for coffee. Always deserts. Get a chocolate rum ball. They are amazing.

Emily Ruff

We have had wonderful breakfasts, lunches, coffee, baked goods and more here. Love the patio outside as well!

Alison Morden

Good coffee and cute decor!

FLETCHER FRENCH

Great place for coffee. They have an awesome selection of sweets.

Hannah Sweeney

Staff was rude about my service dog, insisting that I needed to sit on the patio when it was raining. And supposedly they do not bring it to you (but still expect a tip) but also they do not call out your order so you know it’s ready. The table next to us got their food and drinks delivered to them, so after about 15 minutes I was wondering where my coffee was. Sitting. On the counter. Cold. They did not make a fresh warm one. I used go all the time and ignore the fact that everyone was rude because the coffee was so good. But not anymore. Paid almost $8 for cold coffee.

Promise Bowler

Delicious treats.

Mark Cruver

This place is a timeless treasure sunken in the tapestry of the Museum District of Chattanooga. With a magical entrance and wisteria covered, brick laden private courtyard, this must-see has the perfect coffee and desserts.

Isaac James

Nice treats and drinks with a nice atmosphere. Whenever I go here I leave relaxed and satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend the patio seating for a nice, European café feel.

Alissa Calomino

Beautiful little spot with a huge patio to relax on and enjoy the morning. Great selection of breakfast sandwiches and baked goods for the am. Coffee was good too.

Brick Wall

Excellent and wide selection of coffees, teas, frappes etc and over the top hand made desserts and chocolates

Tim Reutebuch

Very busy, a sign of a good business. Average pricing, less than what you'd expect in Chattanooga's art district. The drinks and fare are good. The atmosphere is typical coffee house. A great place to people watch!

Christian Army Wrench

Soup (lentil) great. Chicken salad average. Dirty chai latte perfect. Walnut brownie Is nothing special but the Key Lime Tart was light and tasty. Service not very friendly, not surly or mean, to be sure, just lacking kindness and a smile. Prices high imo.

Machelle Vanvalkenburg

A wonderful hidden gem! The coffee and desserts are truly amazing! Try the tiramisu with your frozen coffee! ^_^

Scott Reviews

Great coffee and cappuccinos etc. Pastries and sweets are delicious. Counter service by friendly staff. We come here every time we are in the area. Located in a really cool part of Chatanooga, the Bluff View Arts District. Grab a coffee and walk around to explore the block and surrounding businesses! Close to the river with some good vista's and close to the river walk path and the Hunter Museum of Art.

Megan Myers

Cozy cafe in the bluff view district, very near the Hunter Museum. I basically come me here on an annual basis, and the menu hasn't changed for years. The sandwiches are delicious and large portions, you have many coffee, tea, and hot chocolate options, and they serve world's best tomato artichoke soup. A soup and sandwich meal will cost around $15.00. My favorite seating area is the patio, which has heat lamps for winter evening dining.

John Brantley

Very good coffee and very yummy pastries and chocolates. Seating and parking are the challenges. Variety of ages use this landmark coffee shop in the museum district. Starbucks should move near by and give them some competition.

Mel Johnson

Great area, great building and good coffee. And it ain't Starbucks. Winning combo.

Adrian M

Slow sunday morning with great coffee, tea, and French toast. Watermelon macaroons are fantastic!

JC Jean-Claude

Very good coffeeshop with a descent french bakery and cake choice. They also offer artisanal chocolate confections and breakfast, lunch, snack menu. Very clean and great customer service!! Hazelnut Butter cream cake is excellent!!.. almost like the french bakeries..

Jessica Tedder

Nice location, staff is helpful but not very warm and welcoming, food is decent, desserts and coffee are great.

Natasha Seymore

Coffee and treats are delicious! Staff was nice! Just not enough room when busy. Other customers made this trip unenviable.

Kacey Sedgwick

Love, love, love. Kids love the pastries, teen girls love the coffee drinks, husband loves the chocolates and I love the tomato artichoke soup. Amazing place!

Corie Winfrey

Cool atmosphere. Great location. Good coffee. Ok pastries.

Joe Pricer

Awesome coffee, dessert, gluten free items.

Kevin Hopkins

Cool, relaxed place. Great service and good food. The Tomato Artichoke Soup is "the best". The sandwiches are tasty and generous. But, the highlight is their house roasted coffees and freshly made chocolates.

Iain Hoefle

Nice setting, but slow inefficient service. We witnessed several simple orders messed up or simply forgotten.

Lori G

They need to learn how to make iced coffee needed something

sabrina brodley

The outdoor seating experience was super pleasant but the coffee itself was not the greatest. Staff seemed a little unorganized and clueless. Will probably not come here again, as there are lots of other coffee shops to choose from.

Rave Wolfe

Am ideal coffee shop. Tons of pastries and sweets. All advertised as made fresh daily. We got a blend drink on our visit and it was amazing. Staff was super kind and able to answer our questions

Bruce Maddalena

The South sandwich at lunch was great and the chocolate cream cake was good. The perked coffee my husband had was not robust enough. The Chocolate frappe was very good. Only one person takes both orders and payment. This resulted in a long wait to place our order. Not organized behind the counter.

Meghan Klein

Always fantastic fare, amazing coffees, latte's, etc, and wonderful wonderful service. Absolutely beautiful and relaxing atmosphere inside and out!

Reverrt

The place is under rated! If people go there I swear you have to get the Italian cream soda flavored peach! So Yummy!

P Lee

The beautiful patio is the draw....the food is not. The corned beef in the Reuben sandwich was tough and fatty. The chicken salad is flavorless.

Igor Kashin

Very nice place. Although they didn't have my whiskey coffee, they where nice and helpful in finding a replacement. Please keep more of that coffee in stock!

shannon rogers

I love the long tartlets they are so good.

Jeanne Aden

Rembrandt’s is amazing. Great food and great coffee with great service!

Jason Russell

We love Rembrandt's! When the weather is nice, an hour on their patio with a nice latte and some good company is just lovely.

Tyler Faulkner

Great food and drinks. White Chocolate Frappe is excellent. Their patio is very nice.

Jennifer Blackstock

I’ve been here twice, Feb 2017 and Sept 2017. It is the best London Fog Latte I’ve ever had, I measure all others to this! I also ordered the Bee’s Knees which was amazing. Parking can be tricky during busy times, love walking down to river. Indoor seating is limited.

Dr. Roth

Great food, delicious barista coffee. My husband dislike coffee. He said this is the only coffee shop he would come again. There’s plenty of good stuff for everyone’s taste. Artichoke tomato soup was delicious. Pastries, etc.

Anna Bartlett

Great coffee, free parking, and friendly staff!

Mohammed Khan

Been here couple of times to get dessert. Great place for it and great customer service

Jaran Miller

I come here occasionally for its decent food and hot drinks. It's in easy waking distance of the Walnut Street Bridge and the park. If you find the weather to be pleasing, there's good seating available indoors and outside.

Johnny Utah

I have been going to this place for 20 years, but since I'm rating the customer service experience today. I'm unfortunately going to have to rate it a 1 star. I hope management can bring together a meeting with the employees to improve morale. The employees seem legitimately unhappy to be working which decreases the likelihood of my return. I'm sure by observation I'm not the only customer that's thinking this way which means this issue to needs to have heavy consideration for a swift resolution.

Alonso Pool

One of my favorite coffee stops and great place to sit in peace and relax

Korayma Arnau

Best place for coffee and some snack. Relaxing place specially outdoor with the

Joshua Lindamood

This place is always spectacular. It has a very artistic and causal feel with some od the most decadent desserts imaginable. Definitely a destination to visit in Chattanooga!

Cynthia Gann

Rembrandts is always a must stop when downtown and near the Bluff View art district. The service is nice and they have an awesome assortment of pastries and desserts. Their salads and soups are spot on, as well. We always go and enjoy a white caramel frappuccino.

Sabina Dean

Location beautiful, coffees delicious. It just would have been better not surrounded by tables needing cleaning off.

Eddie Z

It has fast and easy service we where in and out fast

Shannon Crenshaw

Great coffee and sandwiches. W omderful views

David Swanson

Great place to meet or get some reading done. Especially enjoyed the Italian atmosphere in a town that didn't know Italian a few years ago. Love the coffee and the macaroons

David Gardner

I stopped in for a chai tea latte the service was very friendly the prices were reasonable and the establishment extremely clean. I wasn't in the mood for any pastries or other menu items however they looked incredibly delightful and on my next return I'm certain to indulge

jane h.

Service was poor; food was just okay; even the coffee wasn't that great. But sitting out on their patio is really nice.

Jaycee Higdon

Super over priced but it is really nice to hang out and visit and see other people.

Mandy McCue

Great coffee!

Connie Sharp

Very small and very busy. Sandwich was good.

Carson Hicks

one of my two favorite coffee shops in Chattanooga. great coffee, tea, pastries, and atmosphere. it's in the art district, so parking can be a little tricky if it's busy but it's definitely worth it. inside is a good place to do work and the outside is a really good spot to sit with friends or a book on a nice day.

Sabrina Cooper

When you are at Rembrandt's it seriously feels like you are somewhere in Europe. The coffee is delicious and the sweet treats and desserts are a dream come true, but the real charm is the courtyard. Oh my gosh, it is so peaceful and pretty! I could spend hours there! The coffee shop is sandwiched between the museum area and the art garden, making the atmosphere even more delightful. I bought a mug with Rembrandt's logo on it, and it makes me feel so happy every time I use it.

Alma Morris

A wide variety of treats and huge selection of coffee, teas and other drinks. They have gluten safe foods, also. Beautiful building in a great part of town.

P Solo

Great atmosphere. Good food.

Matthew Smith

This used to be one of my favorite places to hang out back when I was in college. I'm glad to see that it hasn't changed at all since then. The atmosphere is very relaxing and romantic. The selection of coffee, tea, and dessert is huge! If I still lived in Chatty I would be there all the time. Please stop by if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Hannah Mae Cowart

I had such a good experience here! I got a blackberry java chip frappe, which was really good. The baristas were very friendly. I was very impressed at how many gluten-free pastries they offered.

Eddie Piper

I'll never go there again! It's a really cool spot and I enjoy being there and their product is good but it drives me crazy trying to get an order in. Two times in the last three weeks I've gone in with super simple orders, the first was a gift card so I had to wait on 6 people to wait till they got to the register and then decide what they wanted as they read the menu, meanwhile 3 or 4 baristas stand behind the bar doing nothing while the register person finishes taking an order. It only takes me 10 seconds to order but I have to wait 15 minutes to do it!

Mikhail Khoretonenko

I highly recommend this place. They have an enormous selection of pastries, and the ones that we tried are all delicious. Breakfast menu is mostly sandwiches. These are as simple as can be, but good nevertheless. They serve many different types of coffee, which is acceptable (my coffee standards are very high). The place is pet friendly, and outdoor seating is very cozy, however it can be a little crowded. Parking is usually not a problem, even on Saturday mornings.

Lydia Jane

The coffee is really good; it was exactly what I wanted and tasted delicious. The baked goods are decent; I think that they’re probably better when they’re fresh.

Katherine Janes

Great coffee house with some of the best desserts in town. They have the various types of coffee including expresso and lattes. They have the largest selection of sugar free syrups in town. Their pastries and cakes are fresh and always hit the spot. They have some indoor seating but the outdoor seating is amazing when the weather is right.

Josh Gammariello

Did not enjoy the coffee. Other places have better espresso and better prices.

Sophia Ana

Honestly this place should have been an easy 5 star rating. The food and coffee were excellent, the location is beautiful, artsy and quaint. A perfect experience in every way but one. Some of the staff was incredibly rude and unfriendly. As a fellow service industry worker, I can certainly understand busy or even indifferent but rude and condescending towards someone asking legitimate questions politely is really uncalled for. Some of the staff were very friendly though so a 4 star rating seemed fair. Would really like to try them out again. Hopefully the unfriendlier ones will be having a much better day next time :)

Adriana Eloisa

Best location in town. So overrated because of it. Worst customer service. Worst food and the cherry on top is watching them take out the trash from the restrooms in their cooking attires and go back into the kitchen and walk through thef area with both trash bags on the shoulder like is funny. This place needs an urgent overhaul.

Carlisle Wade

The coffee was good. The food was not. I was embarrassed when staff attempted to charge my guests $0.25 for a refill of their coffee.

Jenn Newton

Great atmosphere, food and coffee. Staff could be a bit friendlier though. Maybe a smile or how are you or something to acknowledge the customers?

Sharon Spurgeon

It was great everything was good about it. I will be returning.

Bo Seckinger

This is a really cool coffee shop. It's definitely not like Starbucks. I went here with my mom when she visited from out of town and we had a great time. It's a little expensive but the scenery is beautiful and the coffee was decent. I had the pumpkin spice coffee and it was OK... Not the best coffee I've ever had but OK. It has a very antique, old-fashioned type feel to it.

Rachael Croxall

A classic Chattanooga coffee house. A MUST for out of town guests and for locals alike.

Jess Boyangiu

Never disappoints. Love the ambiance and tiny sweets and pastries are amazing.

Reed Bullard

Fantastic little place to go grab some coffee

Jesse Young

Great option for after date night or while studying for an exam. It has a great garden eating area and delicious homemade desserts. I've never chosen any of their heavier options, but the sandwich and soup fare seems like a good option.

Benjamin Philipps

Awesome selection of pastries and sweets. Good coffee. Nice indoor seating area with a fantastic outdoor seating area.

Jackie Harvey

I love Rembrandt's so much. It's so pretty and the coffee is divine. Get a cappuccino cup chocolate from the chocalatier. You won't regret it.

J. Maintz

Great place for coffee drinks and pastries in the heart of the art district.

William Alderson

Excellent food and excellent service

Mike

Was walking around Chattanooga on a chilly and overcast morning and stopped in to get a coffee. It was slow at the the time but the girls working the counter weren't paying very close attention to customers. They were pleasant but took a while for them to actually take my order which was annoying since no one else was waiting. Despite that, the place is very quaint and the coffee was very good. Got a black coffee to go along with a heavenly apple turnover. Delicious.

North Ga Foodie

Good dessert choices. Not the freshest but good. Great coffee and specialty coffee options. Cozy atmosphere and ver friendly staff.

Rose Weeks

Cute place really enjoyable

Kaleb East

Went to this coffee shop while I was in Chattanooga for the weekend. A friend of mine named Ryan Maum recommended the coffee shop to me! I ordered a hot Caramel Macchiato and a cinnamon scrap bun from their pastries which was soooooo delicious! This is a must order pastry when you visit this coffee shop! Microwave it for just a couple seconds to get it warm! The inside of the coffee shop is very welcoming and relaxing, well maintained and very clean! I will definitely be stopping here every time I come through Chattanooga. Keep up the excellent work guys!

Ejaz Arain

Awesome coffee shop, such a relaxing vibe I didn’t want to leave. Great espresso too!

Nicholas Hickman

The Firebird is the best sandwich on the menu. I get it EVERY time I'm there which is quite often.

Michaella Smoot

Rembrandt's is my favorite place in Chattanooga. I make it a point to stop by almost every time I'm in town. You have to try the tomato artichoke soup! It's heavenly.

Evan Clinton

Very good coffee and hot chocolate. Great little bakery too. Nice cozy place.

Samantha wise

Very nice here in quiet , food is really good

Doug Ford

Very helpful and friendly service & my Ham & cheese sandwich was the Bomb!!

Emerson Bigguns

Unfortunately, I don't like coffee, so I can't comment on the coffee drinks here. Sorry about that. But everything else I've tried has been excellent. The bee's knees is French toast on challah with orange rosemary infused honey, strawberries, and whipped cream. Delicious! I've tried multiple desserts and my favorite is the cheesecake brownie. It's really rich, chocolatey, and has the perfect dense fudgy texture that I like in a brownie. The prices are very reasonable. All the small desserts range from $2-4 that I saw. Food items go for $6-10. There are sandwiches and salads, plus different breakfast items. Open at 8 and stay open late which is nice. I've always had friendly staff encounters. There's also a trivia question at the register. You are allowed one guess and if you answer correctly you get a free coffee. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Kathy Lewis

Two coffees and two pastries were almost $20 so a little pricey for me. But, to make up the coffee is insanely good. And my son was pretty happy about his “fancy dessert”. Update: went back for breakfast and changed my 4 to a 5 Star! Worth every penny!!

Caitlin Jo Ramsey

Lovely European style coffeehouse with fresh pastries and hot breakfast. In the Bluff Arts District, where I could spend the entire visit to Chattanooga.

Andrew Cuevas

Really cute and well-priced establishment! The desserts are fantastic and the location is super convenient and great if you want to walk around and explore some of the best that Chattanooga has to offer. The staff is super personable as well. Overall, a fantastic coffee house that I recommend to all!

Anisa Lowrey

A Chattanooga favorite. Always good quality. They have a great selection of gluten free goodies too. Today I had a cherry macaroon and an almond flour shortbread cookie with my latte. Years ago when I could eat gluten, they made my wedding cake, an Italian cream cake. Fabulous!

Jacob Munson

Great selection, however a very busy place so plan accordingly.

Kay Coffey

The food was excellent and the service was as well

Penny Jordan

This has been one of my favorite places since my hubby and I found it years ago. It has both full meals and lighter side snacks. There are even choices for the healthy minded folks.

Jamie Treadwell

Amazing treats. I had the cream cheese brownie and coffee. Wish I had also tried the tomato asparagus soup. Love the patio and the views of the art district. Great place

Tabatha Davis

Coffee was okay, service was snooty--mainly the females working there. The guys working on actually making coffee and checking people out were very nice, efficient, and addressed all customers with courtesy. My husband doesn't drink coffee and the only thing he wanted was a Jamison cupcake; however, the girl working behind the secondary checkout counter (presumably for to-go orders? Not sure what she was doing otherwise) was taking a phone call and just decided to put 8 in the to-go box. When we tried to get her attention she tried to ignore us. When we finally got her attention, I tried to explain that the cupcakes were the only reason my husband came as he does not drink coffee. I asked if those were the last of the cupcakes and she responded 'Yes' and then proceeded to ignore us. She came across as both arrogant and rude in her mannerisms. We were from out of town and this coffee shop came highly recommended, but if we ever visit in Chattanooga again we will likely be taking our business elsewhere. Bottom line, call ahead or the cupcakes will be sold right from under your nose quite literally.

Michelle A Spiller

You can't beat the location and the coffee is definitely worth the upcharge. It's just a really nice place to sit and talk, or even just walk and stare at the river. Absolutely date worthy. Or just even, impress your client worthy.

Frank L Wideman

Really nice atmosphere and good service. A little pricey but no more than similar businesses.

Madeleine Erickson

Beautiful place, lively atmosphere, tucked away in the artist district not far from the aquarium, has excellent food and drinks. I love coming here.

Gary Copeland

Worth the wait if there’s a long line. Great place for business meetings. Reliably great service every single time. Delicious lunch and desserts.

Lindsey B

One of my favorite coffeeshops in the area. Love their cafe au lait and their pastries. It's good, reasonably priced coffee for being a local shop. I love the location in the art district! My only complaint is that sometimes it can be hard to find seating inside, especially if you need an outlet for your computer or phone if you want to stay awhile. Not a huge amount of free parking near their location either. However, it's so cozy and the coffee is so amazing that I will always keep coming back!

Cpt. Star-Lord

The layout makes a crowding issue when ordering (the cashier is at the wrong end), and the menu is overpriced. But the service and products are good, and the atmosphere both inside and out are great.

David Northrop

This is an awesome place! Great coffee! Great atmosphere! Great pastries! Great service! Love sitting outdoors! We travel from Nashville to Chattanooga to go to Rembrandt's! It's that good!

Jennifer Fernandez

Such a quaint, lovely historic place. Delicious dessert and coffee. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent service. Very nice.

Edie D

Delicious pastries, strong coffee and lovely location. Beautiful courtyard outside. Lovely staff. Will be back.

Ruthanna Reardon

Wish there were more vegan dessert options but a wonderful establishment with great views and a daily trivia question, that, if you get correct, you get a free coffee!!

Tina Harville

Amazing food, coffee, pastries & staff. Tomato and artichoke soup is delicious!!!

brittney taylor

I’m so sad to say this place has went way down three years ago it was great now it’s awful!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I placed my order and me and my 2 kids sat outside while we were waiting a lil sever boy with braces came out about 5 times screaming to the top of his lungs peoples order numbers it’s very disturbing when my order finally came out his was missing half of it then he said they ran out and some how to him it was funny smh I ask him why they didn’t tell me that when I ordered it he didn’t know. The only thing he brought was my salad it had five big unsliced tomatoes on it that were CLEARLY mushy and rotting I took it back and asked for a refund this used to be one of my favorite places I will never come back ever again so sad!!!! They clearly care nothing about there customers as you see they have not responded to any reviews I feel sorry for the people come from out of town and want to experience the highlight of downtown Chattanooga and this just happens to be one the places It should be taking off the food is clearly rushed and nobody in there cares

Deborah Gilliss

I love soup in all kinds of weather. Tomato artichoke is incredible. Everything is fresh and uses top drawer incredients.

Janice S

Picturesque coffee shop within the bluff view art district. On rainy days seats are at a premium but when the weather is pleasant the patio is a relaxing venue. Their flavored ice teas are refreshing, their wraps are delectable and the majority of the pastries are delicious. My husband especially likes the key lime tarts while our kids and I enjoy the scones and biscotti. Brush up on your trivia and you may win a free cup of joe. Come enjoy a romantic Chattanooga staple in the evening or plan for a day trip in the afternoon. Though the years some places come and go but Rembrandts evolves and is fresh each season.

John Goggans

Service is fine. Coffee and tea always great. Pastries and deserts arguably overpriced, but they're quality. Beautiful venue and location.

Sarah Beth Baker

My all time favorite coffee shop! The coffee is always fantastic and I can’t say enough about the desserts. I had breakfast here for the first time today and it did not disappoint.

Alex Nguyen

Great selection of coffees, teas, a bite to eat, and great chocolates!

Joshua McCostlin

Very good coffee. Semi-large amount of options for gluten free people. Baked goods are really good!

Lulu Gordon

Coffee was good, customer service wasn't great. They refused to serve me food because it was 15 minutes before closing. I guarantee you that if I went to starbucks, I would have gotten food.

Erik Deckers

Loved the latte and the croissant. The milk wasn’t very hot, but the taste more than made up for it. I also enjoyed the butter croissant. A latte and a croissant on a Sunday morning in this European-style bistro? It doesn’t get much better.

Robin Alexander

It was lively, students studying, & also the more "mature" crowd who were quite loud & animated. Loved it!!

Karle Alhamdulillah

I've been coming here for over 12 years and I love it! Excellent location & friendly service!!

Jenifer Bishop

I would share in the sentiments of some of the other reviewers. The staff was incredibly unfriendly as well as some of the clientele who seemed to be unwelcome to our children’s presence. Hey- mothers and fathers are entitled to purchase high priced, slightly sub par coffee just like everyone else. If you are with children, I’d recommend taking your coffee and food elsewhere, owning that you love children and see them as a gift OR just not going to Rembrandts. I’m wishing I had done the latter.

Jim Gavlenski

Good coffee and delicious bakery....

Don Chang

Super cute establishment in a posh artsy neighborhood. Excellent strawberry cream, cake. Well that is the two stars. Customer service was slow and unfriendly. I witnessed a employee say good luck and dropped everything and walked out as his shift ended. Busy, but pure chaos as they lost our order. I had ask for my order after people who came behind me got their drinks first. Value is not there for the coffee drinks or Italian soda. Come here if you value ambiance over value and customer service.

Julie Todd

I gave this coffee house 2 stars due to their poor customer service. The actual setting of the restaurant and the desserts are wonderful but I have seldom been treated with courtesy. It's as if you are just a number going through the line. I am a resident so I have frequented it often due to the location. The last time I was there I was not happy at all. They made my drink and it didn't have any cinnamon in it. It was a cinnamon latte. I know it wasn't fixed correctly because I had had the drink before. I took it back and told them there was no cinnamon. They grumbled at me and remade the drink. This time I stood by and watched as the barista POURED a exorbitant, excessive amount of cinnamon in it and said "it has cinnamon in it now" and smirked. This is one of the hotspots in the city where visitors frequent. The customer service is absolutely horrible. Truth is I just don't even want to go back if this is how I will be treated when they get my drink wrong. It's a stretch to go anyways as I never receive good customer service. You represent the city to visitors get it together Rembrandts.

Marie

Very nice coffee shop with beautiful outdoor dining area. Reminds one of an Italian Villa or something Mediterranean. Free parking and handicap accessible.

Jill Kilgore

I love this coffee shop nestled in the Bluff View Art District. I would highly recommend bringing a book, ordering a mug of coffee to refill and sit on the terrace outside while taking in the architecture. It's a beautiful place. I took home a bag of the whiskey coffee. I recommend asking to see where they make the coffee & savor the smell.

Amy Kibbey

This place can get busy and even when it isn't overly crowded the workers seem to have no time to acknowledge your presence. Coffee was good however, we had a hard time getting a response from the workers when asking questions on a slower Sunday night. When we got up to leave we asked if we needed to clear our own table and the three workers that were standing around, talking to each other, ignored us. Then when we went to go buy a box of chocolates we were not acknowledged even though there were many people behind the counter. The lady who looked in charge of the chocolates was helping another couple with gift boxes but she couldn't be bothered to let us know that she saw us and would be with us in a few minutes. We eventually left with no chocolates.

Ben Carson

Not bad, but nothing special

Thomas Tadler

Packed and crowded and just the way we like to see the Arts District. A lot of newbies and regulars. People getting sandwiches and snacks. The sweet treats were selling well too. Got a mocha with a coconut shot. Very good.

Sydney B

Husband and I got lattes on our way out of town. They gave us the wrong size, otherwise they would be five star. When I'd been looking for good dessert our whole stay in Chattanooga I wish someone had recommended this place. Lattes tasted great. We'd definitely come here in a future trip.

D'rayxa ϟ

Studied here with a friend for 5 hours and the staff was kind and willing to go above and beyond to help us with the lighting. I loved the atmosphere and their Italian soda.

Michael H

Desserts were great. Coffee was okay. Got some mugs as gifts and didn’t get any bag or paper to wrap them in. Employees were not super friendly.

Maureen Dunphy

Very unique store. Wonderful chocolates

Josh Taylor

Great coffee and atmosphere. A must visit place if you like coffee and are coming to Chattanooga.

Kevin Crowley

Awesome!!!!!! Coffee! Tea!!! Baked goods prepared completely in house!!! Did not like the espresso!

Christi Wilson

The coffee is fantastic and pastries are to die for. The prices are far more reasonable than I expected. It was very busy when I went and the service was a bit disorganized. I wish there were more seating inside, though there patio is nice and they have several outdoor heaters.

Mike Defiglia

Not the best coffee and not the best staff. Mediocre coffee house in a great location.

Corey

Great atmosphere. Want to be cozy? Pick a nice spot inside and look out on the sidewalk. Want it to feel a bit more open? Sit outside in their biergarten like patio. Oh, and the coffee is great too! :)

Paula Aiello-Grundy

Emily at the register made great recommendations for what to try as well as tourist sites of interest that were free. Best coffee for my money and wide variety of daynish and scone choices. Adorable outside patio.

Sadly I cannot give this place a good review. We were visiting from out of town and were very impressed by the website but it was a terrible experience. It was a Friday afternoon at around 2 PM. It was fairly busy but there were plenty of seats on the outdoor patio. The store inside was in a state of confusion. The staff didn't seem like they knew their jobs at all. Food took 30 minutes to arrive and was wrong. The chicken salad was awful. The roll was tough and dry. The fresh fruit was unripe. The coffee was good but we were at a loss as to how to get refill on coffee during our long wait. Don't ruin your day. Go somewhere else.

This place is a great place. The pastries are wonderful and the coffee is pretty good. I really love the environment, but the reason I gave it a 4 is because of one of the employees there. She is a Mexican girl there. I was waiting to order my pastries and she was way to busy having fun talking and catching up with a friend to notice me and the 2 other people that would like to order our stuff. Thankfully the other girl working (Sunday night 9:30pm 5/13/18) helped me out and was very friendly. She saved me from walking out and giving a 1 star review.

Every time I come here, whether for two minutes or two hours, I come away happier. Also, there's this new barista, Danielle, and she's excellent.

This coffee house has a wonderful atmosphere, but I cannot recommend the espresso. The only way I can describe it is sour. So much so that it was completely unpalatable. Perhaps it was just a bad day, but I will not be ordering it from here again. The desserts are wonderful though!

The interior has a huge display of many sweets. Although I was extremely tempted to buy a baked good like one of their cookies or muffins I demonstrated my upmost self control by just sticking with a drink. Being that it was the first very nice weather of 2019 I decided to get an iced drink and asked the barista what she recommended. She said that they make a good iced dirty chai (chai latte with a shot of espresso) so I took her up on that. It was such a good drink!

It is the perfect place for first dates. If you'd like to get to know someone special, present a tasteful image of yourself, but not break the bank, this is the place to go. It displays a fusion of the intimate, southern charm commonly found in Chattanooga, and the tasteful refinement of the Bluff Art district. Rembrandt's may be too close to home as I met my wife there for the first time, and propsed to her there. There really was no better place for it.
