Perfection in every way. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food is incredible and the entire vibe makes Grinder House a do-not-miss experience. You'll be glad to have discovered all they have to offer which includes local artists work on the walls (for sale!) plus an incredible music series every Friday night. This place makes us want to move to Crossville, TN so we could visit daily. It is just that good.

I love this place! I go a few times a week and always enjoy the welcoming environment especially after a long shift. I have some good friends that work at Grinder and I know you will be taken care of! Their drinks are excellent, and I recommend the biscuits and gravy, as well as the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, both are very delicious! It is a bit pricey but it’s worth it and going every once in a while is great!

This was a wonderful experience for me and my friend. We were working on a screenplay and felt very comfortable and welcome. Couches and table decor make this place feel warm and cozy. Coffee was delicious and the people there are more than accommodating. What a little gem! I can't wait to visit again. There's lots to choose from so I'm going to try something new. I consider this a must visit place in Crossville.

Breakfast is tasty but the menu is limited. Their cinnamon roll is much better than Cinnabon. Table service is only available in the morning. When we went for dinner, we were ignored by the girls behind the counter. I walked up and asked about table service only to be told that they hadn't been trained to wait tables. I told her that we would need food menus, to which she said they didn't have any. She said we could order from the chalkboard. We left. Maybe they'll get their dinner act together in the future.

Everytime I visit this coffee shop, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The inside is very clean, hip and relaxing. This establishment makes you want to grab a good book and curl up on one of their many comfortable couches. They are quite fast and their coffees never disappoint. I'm an avid coffee drinker and all their coffees hit the spot. The flavor, freshness and serving size. My personal favorite is the red eye, while my wife loves their frappes. This is the only coffee that actually wakes me up! Thank you guys for doing such an amazing job.

Good Downtown Breakfast Upscale coffee house serving a limited breakfast and lunch menu with gourmet coffees. We had the ham and cheese croissant and the bacon, egg, and cheddar, panini. Both were tasty. The service from Nick was excellent. We got a glimpse of the deserts, so we're planning to return soon.

I tried the Grinder House for the first time after plenty of word of mouth suggestions. I found it a very quiet (@11am) and clean environment when I entered. Being used to being waited on...I stood awkwardly at the entrance and was quickly greeted with a "good morning." I ordered a stuffed french toast with bacon and an apple juice (found my item online). There didn't appear to be many places for 1 except by the front window... so I borrowed a table for five. The food didn't take long to be served (about five minutes). The french toast was excellent, a great selection of ingredients to host an ideal blend of texture and taste. However, the bacon was walking the tight rope of cooked and burnt, probably wobbling over on the side of burnt. I also had an out of the blue surprise of a mango juice instead of an apple. I give the Grinder House a 3.5 out of 5 from my in building experience. I am also impressed with their online presence and their responses to their customers both the positive and negative... An extra half star. 4 of 5. Thanks for the experience.

There are so many reasons to visit this establishment. Excellent food, staff, bakery goods, coffees, art that you can buy from local artists. Beautiful and trendy atmosphere, and comfortable. This place begs to you to stay all day. Especially on a rainy day. Excellent atmosphere for long conversations, reading, relaxing, and eating. I HIGHLY Recommend it.

This shop is absolutely wonderful! It feels very relaxed and inviting, the staff are super friendly, and (though it may seem like an odd thing to be impressed by) I really appreciated their sugar offerings being more than just regular white sugar and splenda! The coffee was absolutely perfect in flavor (no burnt taste that big chains sometime have), and even though my boyfriend and I stayed talking a little after they closed I didn't feel like they were trying to usher us out the door. I will definitely be returning here.

This place has addressed all previous concerns with the new owners. Service is fast and friendly with all new employees. Food has been improved massively and now most is made in house from scratch delivered to table in 15 minutes or less. The live music is second to none with serious singer song writers and nothing but professional level talent. Stop by meet the owners who are warm welcoming and authentic.

Always have loved this cafe, high quality coffee and desserts, and they have non-dairy milks! All the food is pretty heavy though. Wish they had better vegetarian selection, as the current options are overpowering cheesy and don't have very much vegetable (except for the salad, but vegetarians eat other things too!) Excellent service and atmosphere. Their cheesecake is made in-house and is amazing!!

We went on a friday night and the place was packed. We ordered at the counter and sat at the only available table. After that never once did a server come to our table other to deliver our food - 45 minutes later. My husband had to go back to the counter after 30 minutes just to get our drinks. There were servers going around to the tables of people you could tell were "regulars" so I know they had servers working the floor. The sound on the music was not adjusted well either. We could not hear anything the artist was saying or singing...it was all over shadowed by his guitar which was LOUD. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken bacon flatbread which was dry, overcooked and not worth the price we paid. After all the hype of the place we were quite disappointed with the overall experience.

WARNING: BE SURE TO BE ABSOLUTELY SILENT while you eat or you’ll risk being reprimanded, and threatened to be thrown out before your entire party’s meal is complete. My group of 7 (all retired older women, besides myself) were regulars here as; they have good homemade food, what used to be a fun environment, and live local musicians and on Friday nights. Some petty guy at the table next to us made a very nasty and rude comment to me regarding one of the ladies who is hard of hearing speaking too loudly for his liking. We quieted her down as she was honestly not aware of her volume, petty guy then sent his whole family up one by one to complain about us talking at all. Manager told us he’d had multiple complaints and asked us to not talk, or he’d ask us to leave. When did any verbal communication become taboo in a coffee shop? Hope the petty guy with nothing worth talking about is a regular... because we won’t be back.

Shop arbitrarily closed the afternoon I stopped by. A worker did see 5 or 6 people standing by the door and opened. My coffee was tepid. It tasted good but the temperature was very disappointing. Every place has an off day occasionally so I'm sure I'll try them again.

The food was great and drinks were amazing! It was pricy but understandable and acceptable, considering the quality of the products. The only complaint I have was there was one employee her name was Kaleigh. She seemed more interested in chatting to some other people, then actually serving the customers. I was trying to ask about something on the menu but she blew me off and was slightly disrespectful and ignored me as long as she could so she could continue talking to her friends that were there. I asked another employee my question and it was no problem. I also inquired about Kaleigh and was told she was new and had that habit when certain people came in, and that she was only 17 which if I’m correct Grinder only hires over 18. Anyways I will be back because I love it however employees with this behavior will lose you customers, which I’m sure your aware of. Sorry for writing anything negative just wanted to inform of my experience thank you!

I love this place! This is one of the absolute best places in all of Crossville, TN! Not o my is the food, drinks and coffee delicious, they also serve beer, and every Friday night, they have live music, and all the performers are amazing!
