You have all the feddbacks of real people who are buying the products and services of Coffea Roasterie and Espresso Bar (Coffee Shop) in South Dakota.
At present the business gets a score of 4.6 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 485 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is almost the top, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the valuation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Coffee shop.
Rude new manager girl! She told a customer she'd trust her "this time" when she interrupted the conversation between her and the guy on register. The guy accidentally shorted a woman $1 and gave it back to her. The young new manager girl wasn't even part of the conversation, yet she felt the need to interrupt because as she said, " I'm a new manager here now, and I just have to cover all my bases." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, she'd trust the woman "this time" over a dollar! She wanted to make sure her till wasn't short, yet when the woman tried to show the"manager" repeatedly her calculator on her phone of the transaction and why she was owed a dollar, the "manager" didn't want to see it, she just said that to her. Not the way customer service is supposed to be! You don't talk that way to customers. The woman was really nice about it too, being shorted the dollar, she just was trying to tell her why she was owed the $1. The guy was really nice and gave it right back to her before the "manager" interrupted to ask what was that for. I had just heard the customer saying she was there almost daily to another guy when they were just talking earlier in the morning too. I bet she doesn't come back and who would blame her? Horrible customer service! I didn't care for seeing such a thing occur at a well-known coffee house either, the Coffea on Louise Avenue!
Nice atmosphere and many coffee and tea choices. Our bag of coffee came with a free cup of it as well and it is good!
After waiting in the drive through line for 20 minutes (when I got there, there were 3 vehicles in line), only one person had made it through. I left without getting any coffee. The last time I went through, it was terribly slow, and my order was wrong. I'm moving on to Caribou instead!
The caramel lattes are awesome. Caramel syrup is made from scratch. Coffee shop has a very comfortable vibe.
Best coffee shop in Sioux Falls! These guys build relationships with coffee bean farmers in third world countries, and locally roast, grind, and craft beverages out of their products. You can find coffea coffee throughout Sioux Falls, but if you want it prepared the best, you'll want to go to the source. Luckily for you, there are four locations! Well what are you waiting for? Go get caffeinated!
I like their lattes but their service is incredibly slow. When I would go inside and the only person there it takes about 10 mins. So when I go through the drive thru and I have about 4 cars in front of me it takes 20 mins at least. I wish they would be quicker is all.
Try one of their hot teas. Perfect for South Dakota winters!
Nothing like Ozark coffee in sedila Mo!
Friendly staff with wonderful drink recommendations.
Good coffee and a nice place to sit down
Loved it. The staff was so wonderful and the coffee and treats were fabulous.
The caramel latte tasted like nothing but warm milk. Female barista acted like it was a burden to take our order.
Tried this place on two separate occasions, both locations, and hated their coffee. I was told that I’m not a good Christian if I don’t get all my coffee drinks from Coffea. Well, just because I’m a Jesus follower, doesn’t mean I have to drink the worst, most bitter sludge in town. I’d rather give my money to a “pagan” coffee shop and hope for the opportunity to be a witness of love, peace, and joy. Can’t have joy when I’m making a disgusted face. That place needs a miracle to make their drinks tasty.
Quiet and inviting. Best coffee in town. Pastries are only OK.
The coffee was great, and the barista was so polite even when we showed up right at closing time.
Delicious coffee, lovely atmosphere
Great staff, efficient, nice atmosphere. Plenty of space, comfortable.
Excellent coffee, excellent service, caramel latte was ni ely balanced. Good vibes
Coffee was fresh roasted and awesome! The latte was amazing!!! Definitely gonna go back!
Went here today to get some work done. Love the open atmosphere and lots of seating. It’s a popular place though so best to avoid peak hours or get there before others. Pretty good overall, I do like the downtown location better.
Great cup of coffee.
This is one of my favorite coffee places and the workers are fantastic! Great coffee, great atmosphere, great place!
Fresh and tasty coffee... nice environment
Best coffee in town
This place is great! There drinks are delicious and I always love their summer menu. There is plenty of seating so you never feel bad for taking sitting and chatting for a whole while you sip down on something delicious. They have art work up all over the walls that's for sale, and I think they change it out every once in a while! The baristas are always super friendly and willing to talk to you about the drinks to help you choose one if you don't know what you want. Also all the drinks on their summer menu are invented by their baristas which is super cool! Overall I definitely recommend stopping in and checking it out
Very good coffee stop. If you go try the ice cream coffee shake. They use the South Dakota State University ice cream in the shake which is nice and creamy.
Nice quiet atmosphere.
I love getting Americanos here (both hot and iced are great) and I also recently bought espresso beans to grind at home to use in my Aeropress. It makes delicious coffee
The best local spot to get my morning brew.
Super poor service. My husband and I decided to work on some projects at Coffea today. After ordering a smoothie at another place we stopped in and he ordered a tea. We set up our computers to get to work and were promptly told I couldn't have an outside drink and we would have to leave and sit outside to continue to work. Although I understand the premise of this decision we were paying customers and planned on ordering more food. I thought this was extremely rude considering they don't even have smoothies on the menu and their prices are extremely high.
Love the vibe here. As a non-native, it's refreshing to find something that's not a chain here that reminds me of some of the places I frequent back home in Phoenix. Good selection, and lots of places to hang out. Knocked off one star because the Americano I got was not all that great -- really acidic and bitter. The latte my wife got was great, though!
Best espresso I've had.
Had a really good tea latte (“Old Smoke Tea Latte”), a giant scottcheroo & a nice chill atmosphere to read for a few hours.
The brew is always fresh and you can't beat their 'Free Espresso Friday' deal. Also, the staff is always friendly and helpful.
Coffea and their staff help you forget the woes of the world, if only for a moment. Their service is fantastic, and their drinks and food match! My favorite thing to do is go in and see what fresh scones are being served that day.
Laid back coffee place. I got the espresso milk shake... it was amazing!!
This is coffee done right. They take great care in being sure they offer the highest quality coffee. There's something for every coffee lover. The drinks never have a bitter or burned flavor as sometimes happens at other popular coffee locales.
Try a Honey latte
Great service and great coffee! Espresso is a little nutty, but delicious.
I only went through the drive through, and I got the "Barista's Choice". You pay them $5, and the barista will decide what you drink. A fun option for the adventurous coffee fiend!
I have yet to find a coffee that tops Coffea. I recently went on a 5000 mile road trip to the west coast and had coffee whenever humanly possible. I never found anything even close to the quality of coffea coffee. Seriously!
Fantastic espresso, many offerings and quality ingredients. Care is taken with every order. They have coffee every which way you could want it. From coast to coast, this ranks up there with the best espresso I've ever tasted.
Great atmosphere, and great drinks and food. I am not coffee drinker, but they have a wide variety of options. I love the fireplace and the layout of chairs and tables.
The shop was clean and well-lit, staff were pleasant, and the cortado was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the tastebuds.
Love it here! Coffee is delicious and quality. Roasted on location. Batista's are knowledgeable. Great environment. Their granola bars are my favorite pastry there.
Relaxed atmosphere and friendly, informative staff. I enjoy the plethora of comfortable seating. Just passing through on my way to Yellowstone, but I am already excited to come back.
Delicious coffee, tea, and baked goods. One of my favorite places to relax. Inviting atmosphere, and friendly staff.
Big, open space. Great for studying/chilling. Nice staff. Tried the unique Masala Latte. Pretty tasty.
I didn't drink all of my coffee there, so I took the cup to the counter and asked for a to-go cup to put it in. They made me a whole other coffee! It was awesome!!
Great coffee. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. I'd come back in a heartbeat.
The service was great. I savored a French almond cake, of generous portion, that was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.
My favorite coffee hands down!!! Always an amazing coffee experience.
The staff was rude, forgetful, prejudice & the coffee portion was a joke, it was so so small! The cost is outrageous for the quantity.. Starbucks is so much better
Yummy, made to my special order, dairy free, not so sweet, she did it perfectly. And fast. Maybe a little spendy though.
I love this place. They have great high-quality coffee, an amazing atmosphere, and they work hard at being the best. They truly are amazing.
Best coffee spot in Sioux Falls. My car goes on auto pilot to Coffea when I am near one. Highly recommend getting the Carmel latte, and granola.
Great shop! Espresso is done well (Modbar machine) and tastes amazing - no bitterness. I appreciated that the staff would make conversation about coffee without being pretentious. Plenty of seating and neat decor, too! Will definitely go back when we're in SF again.
Very good and awesome venue!
They have me hooked for life.
So yourself a favor and get the espresso milkshake
Out of all of the coffee shops I've been to around this country this is one of my very favorites. Wonderful seating, good coffee, and plenty of outlets if you're looking to work. It's never too loud. I wish I had Coffea in Chicago. My favorites: Hazelnut Latte, Butterscotch Latte. They also have kombucha, sparkling waters, or tea once you've had your coffee fix. I don't particularly recommend the baked goods.
Lovely setting & comfortable ambiance
Great coffee...awesome friendly staff...amazing atmosphere....peaceful ambience!!!
Very expensive, very delicious. I love the masala latte on ice.
Super hot Barista, delicious coffee, great service, down side would be asked for a large coffee and got a medium sized.
This place is the real deal if you're an espresso fanatic. I've had espresso around the country and around the world, and few places measure up to Coffea Roasterie. I happened upon this place on a cross-country road trip and I never wouls have expected such an amazing coffee spot in an off-the-beaten path place like Sioux Falls. Fantastic, rich espresso with a powerful flavor and a delicious finish. I wouldn't miss it if I were in the area again.
Great homemade syrups, including vanilla stevia syrup and fresh roasted coffee beans. Bakery items are baked in store, including some gluten free treats. Staff is excellent and very friendly!! Highly recommend- best coffee in town!
Good latte but terribly overpriced. Paid $13 for 2 8oz lattes
Great option for supporting local business, and pretty good coffee. Love their specialty drinks.
Longer wait than a typical coffee shop and for the price you don't get the same size as you would at a Scooter's, for example. I understand it was a local establishment as opposed to a chain but I did not feel that it was worth the price to buy local. Coffee was delicious though.
The atmosphere is comfortable and refreshing. The service was fast and not too pricey and the lattes the my girlfriend and I ordered were fantastic! We will definitely be coming here more often! I definitely recommend trying it out!
Great coffee! Best place in town to have a quick meeting or have a drink while using their WiFi.
First visit, excellent service! Got assistance with the door with my broken leg & walker, excellent service finding something good for a this pregnant mom caffeine & sugar free!! Will be back when I can have some bakery treats!
Amazing service and the coffee is the best I have ever had.
Awesome coffee and staff! The seating can be a bit awkward at times. They may want to invest in more regular tables and chairs.
From my knowledge they make everything themselves no artificial flavoring. The best coffee around for sure
My place to chill and have awesome coffee with some buddies. Great place for fellowship.
Pretty great coffee. I thoroughly enjoy when cappuccinos are split. Although my coffee could have been hotter. The space itself is rather open with a decent amount of seating. The staff was friendly, although the woman helping me was not entirely knowledgeable. Could've been new I suppose. I would come back here. This is much closer to how coffee should taste then Starbucks or Caribou.
This place is awesome!!! Outstanding coffer
Good atmosphere and coffee. Reasonable prices. Would have stayed and enjoyed if I didn't have to hit the road.
This is the kind of coffee that converts sugary "coffee" drink lovers to connoisseurs of unadultered coffee. The coffees get their flavor from the soil and conditions they're grown in, and the care taken after harvest. You can even watch the roasting process if you're there during the day. The staff are friendly and will recommend drinks after a short interview of what flavors you're into. Most of the flavorings added to the lattes are made on site! Seriously, if you're in the area, get a cup from here!
I LOVE COFFEA!!!! Amazing vibe love the people I run into there. Service is amazing and they have the best coffee in Sioux Falls. I'm there every week. They also have free espresso Friday
Love the first free drip coffee refill. Also like the bike rack.
Great place to get a cup of coffee!
Best. Coffee. EVER. Skip the drive through, come inside and really soak up the joint. You won't be disappointed.
The coffee was great, they used local source cream, and the environment was nice. We were only traveling through and just filled up across the street. I loved the regular coffee. It was clearly roasted with some knowledge and had a rich flavor. Thank you!
A lovely space to work, reflect and have great conversation. The drinks are good and the ambiance is fantastic. The prices are pretty steep, but well worth it if you are able to spend an hour or a few here.
A great assortment of coffee that is roasted there on site. The coffee is amazing and brewed the way you want. I always get a pour over. It takes a little time but worth the wait.
Loved this place! They make their Carmel sauce from scratch - it is amazing! Great coffee!
Great coffees and scones and muffins
Very nice people cosy, frirndly.
Amazing coffee served by the nicest baristas. A new favorite in Sioux Falls!
First rate coffee. My wife and I never leave town without stopping here. Nice atmosphere, good drinks, friendly baristas. Drive through available. This place checks all the boxes on the list of must haves for a great coffee shop!
Between us, coffea is the real reason I drive to sioux falls from Florida every other year. I just tell my fiance it's to see her mom & family
Amazing coffee and teas! Seriously, the best quality in town for sure! And the staff is always so friendly and helpful!
Come here for the lattes both hot and cold. The decor and the staff really dress the part of eclectic baristas particularly Hayley and love the youthful Jay. The French almond cake is moist and has a hint of anisette. Looking forward to getting my 1st loyalty reward.
One of the only places to get artisan coffee in sioux falls.
Quite simply the best coffee in Sioux Falls - maybe anywhere. Be sure to go there for Free Espresso Friday! (which is pretty much explained in the name).
Be brave. Go for the barista's choice. Just make sure to ask what they made you so you can order it again if you like it!
Impressed with the knowledge of the baristas and the deliciousness of our drinks! Cool place, nice vibe. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll be back.
Great pour overs!
I got my drink to-go; baristas were friendly and efficient. I ordered an iced americano, I was impressed with the espresso and the quality of the drink. Best I’ve had.
The seasonal Jade Latte was delicious and the staff is always friendly!
My favorite getaway!
Friendly baristas, great seating, wonderful art. And most of all, excellent coffee! Definitely one of the best coffee joints in town!
Love being able to stop at a local coffee shop that is located right off the highway (and even has a drive-thru!). Who needs Starbucks when you have this? Baked goods were homemade (try the biscotti) and coffee was on par with any coffee shop I've ever visited. They definitely seem to know their stuff which is great.
Slow drive-thru, but good coffee, was a little cold
Great coffee, friendly staff
The small size coffee is smaller and more expensive than other places. I love this place but that is why I choose other coffee shops most of the time.
Met the owner. He has an amazing passion for people and coffee. Coffea has a special latte called marsala its awesome. Usually not into a sweet latte but the marsala latte is great you gave to try it out.
The workers here are just wonderful! I enjoy the calming and welcoming atmosphere. Great place for studying, good coffee, and food! I will be coming back from now on.
Great coffee. Best in town. Awesome teas too
Best coffee in South Dakota
Very very impressed with the espresso bean in this shop (the espresso was well balanced unlike some the competitors that are too earthy or floral for my taste). I ordered a latte and it definitely stands up to some of the better ones I have tried or made at home. Very nice location too with a chill college crowd surfing the web on their computers. The only suggestion I have (and I might have missed it on the menu) would be to add a cortado to it.
Coffea hands down has the best coffee in town! The staff is well educated to handle any and all coffee questions! The interior is wonderfully furnished and features two rooms separated by double-doors and a huge fireplace. There's also a coffee bar if you'd like to sneak away to the corner and still catch a peak of the coffee-making process. If I had to pick a favorite drink, apart from the coffee, it would be the cafe miel.
Enjoyed the time spent. Loved their iced black tea with hibiscus! Wish they sold as tea bags so I could have this at home.
I’m from New York I drove across the country and back and no coffee I have ever had in my entire life was as good as that caramel iced latte I had. I dream of it. It haunts me. Now this wasn’t just any darn latte it tasted like actual caramel candies, not caramel syrup. I will never experience such greatness again. I will move here simply for that coffee. 10/10. If I can buy whatever magical syrup that is please let me know I will pay top dollar(to a resonable amount) to have some at home and carry the beauty of this place with me cause hot damn! I would die for this
I don't think I have ever had a bad experience at either of the current Coffea's in town. The coffee is always smooth and creamy even in drip form. And the staff are very excited to talk coffee/tea.
Wow!!! Great coffee. Not being from Sioux Falls I was hesitant about going and being disappointed. Should have never waited, best in town period. I would have given it five stars, which it deserves. If it weren't for how disgusting the inside is, dust, unclean tables and chairs. I have visited for at least 3 hour and have yet to see someone clean anything. Go have the coffee just don't look around, plants, light fixtures, ceiling fan, and paintings covered in dust. Under a rolling table it looks as if they couldn't have taken the time to move it to clean underneath it, come on it is a rolling table! Normally I would have given pass, but trying to be an upscale establishment I really need to not have to clean of the chair that I wanted to sit down in. Great coffee, just needs a large team to come and clean it!
Great coffee. Friendly staff.
I come from Minneapolis, a city with exceptional coffee. Coffea reminds me of one of the more prestigious coffee shops in MN called Spyhouse. I'm not going to try to debate which one is better, but if you know Spyhouse, then you know that comparing Coffea to it is a big deal. I think Coffea is great. My last drink was the pour over (don't remember the beans) and it was excellent. I'll be seeing a lot more of you Coffea.
Worst iced americano I’ve ever had. I ordered espresso over ice. She said, “that’s NOT how we do it here”, as she dumped it over a cup of tap water. Bitter swamp water... each sip is bringing me closer to Christ.
Cute little coffee shop! Got the Baristas choice! It was really good. It was my first time there!
I ordered espresso, and it was good (came with a side of sparkling water). The baristas were friendly and helpful. But I was more impressed with the size and the layout of this location. Plenty of seats, but enough spacing in between to have some decent privacy and work space. Some of the furniture (coffee tables) were on sale, which I think is a nice gimmick/concept. Personally, I think if the wall that the fireplace is in were torn down, it would create a more open feel and make the whole vibe of the store a little better. Also, if you're looking to work and need to plug in, there aren't that many outlets on the floor.
Great and unique tasting coffee. Baristas choice is my favorite as you save a buck and the surprise is always nice.
Great helpful employees. Nice atmosphere.
Great place. Great environment. Whether you're going to meet with an old friend, business client, space to work, space to get away, or just enjoy a great drink, Coffea suits all of these occasions. Phenomenal staff. Excellent space.
Just passing through SD... Great find! Worth a stop if you need a good coffee! Great atmosphere. Do not tow anything into the parking lot. Go across the street to park a uhaul w/ car!
Workers were Awesome! Came in with a gift card issued on their old system and they gave us our entire order "on the house". Very courteous and welcoming!
Coffee without equal in Sioux Falls. Their cappuccinos are so good I can't enjoy the ones from chain coffee stores anymore.
So good. Honesty a great environment, and even better coffee. Hazlenut lattes here are the bomb dig.
Always a great place for coffee & a baked treat!...super employees, as well!!!
Great coffee
Great atmosphere, really friendly and knowledgeable staff
One of my favorite places in Sioux falls to grab great coffee and tea.
Nice atmosphere, great coffee both regular and mixed espresso drinks.
Fun location with a great menu. They did not cater to my choices.
Love coffea! Staff is so friendly and nice they explain everything if you have questions. They are so knowledgeable on their products. I miss their spicy hot chocolate it was seasonal two years ago. As for product itself nothing in Sioux falls tastes as good! I am a huge coffee, and tea connoisseur theirs by far are my favorite!!
The manager was combative when asked a question, was told customers inside are not priority to drive up, it took more than 10 minutes to make. Mocha, cold one. The employees do not seem to value customers time. Won't go back.
Ok flavor but on a rainy fall day the drink could have been about 20 degrees warmer! I got a caramel latte that was luke warm at best. It tasted more like caramel and less like coffee... I see there are other reviews saying the same... just flavored milk. Definitely agree... pretty disappointing for the price.
Uncomfortable environment, did not feel welcomed by employees and terrable coffee $10 for two 8oz lattes
Great place to share a coffee and some laughs!
My favorite coffee...period
I just got back from a week in Seattle and found myself needing to cleanse my palate of the terrible coffee I'd had to endure while I was there. Coffea did the trick...
Invalidating 'older' gift cards is a good way to lose customers.
The staff was friendly and energetic upon entry. There was plenty of cushy seats around to relax and talk in, as well as a good amount of natural lighting making for a very nice interior. The coffee was presented quite well, and with my double espresso came a glass of seltzer water. The espresso was a bit more acidic than I'd like but all things considered was good.
The best coffee around. These guys know their beans.
Delicious dessert! Polite and helpful staff!
Excellent service and loved my lavender breve!!
This is really expensive for what you get, and it is never HOT. Like warm when it is served.
They really know their coffee. Select and roast their own beans.
I love places like this- great atmosphere (not loud and clamoring baristi and patrons), lovely food selections, and the employees now their stuff. So glad to have found this great spot!
First time here and I enjoyed it very much. The coffee was great and everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely come back.
The coffee and espresso are probably the best you can find in Sioux Falls or maybe even South Dakota, for that matter. I would put it on par with most coffee bars in Seattle. The other thing that really sells it for me is the environment; it's quiet, well-furnished, and it wins, hands down, in the aesthetic department. I can understand the whole "hipster" try-hard criticism addressing its price and its customers, but, at the end of the day, if you want superb coffee and an atmosphere to match, go for it and disregard the complaints of vanity and price-gouging.They certainly have tried hard but honestly, it's just vain to dismiss fantastic coffee and service because one thinks they try too hard to fill a niche. Try it for yourself, I doubt you'll be remotely disappointed. EDIT: This was partially in response to another comment that claimed it was too "perfect" but it was actually on Yelp. Great place, need I say more?
One of my go to coffee stops in town
The Barista was extremely knowledgeable about all the varieties of their coffees for pour overs. Customer service was amazing. Will be returning often.
Good pour overs.
Amazing coffee bar! I appreciated the diversity in seating, from a table to sip esspresso to the large tree trunk tables for studying. The environment is crisp and the pastries taste wonderful.
