I was looking for a coffee shop near URI. Ordered a cup of the house roast here. Tasted burnt and gross. Youd only know what I mean if you drink your coffee black without any cr@p (sweetners or cream) to cover the taste. Although, staff were friendly and place is cool to sit in. Would be suitable if you like sweet flavored and creamy drinks with coffee in them.

A super cute coffee shop with friendly service and a clean bathroom. Conveniently located near URI and along the main route it was a relief to find a great spot. They have lots of flavors for lattes and a whole wall of serve yourself iced coffee with tons of flavors. So cool! My friend and I were left a little less than impressed at the flavors we chose. I would probably stick with a more traditional flavor or flavor less. (I had gotten smores and she got toasted coconut). Outside they had a coffee bean roasting shed so the beans are roasted on site. Definitely worth a stop in if you're nearby!

Fresh ground coffee roasted on-site. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lots of bakery items made fresh daily. Some basic breakfast and lunch items are pre-made or made to order. Free WiFi. Seating and tables available. Location is in close proximity to AMTRAK West Kingston Station. Fresh ground coffee is now available for sale in K-Cups!

We stopped by for a late afternoon bite to eat. It was our first time. Split a sandwich, cookie( fabulous) and the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Everything was excellent. I wish we lived closer, so we could stop by more often. Well worth it. Quality food, great owner. He is very proud, he should be. Whenever we are ANYWHERE near, we’ll stop again.

We happened upon this place and are so glad we stopped! They had 21 flavored ice coffees on tap- amazing! We tried S'mores and Banana Walnut. Delicious chocolate chip muffin, but the chocolate chip cookie was nothing to write home about. Croissant was the real deal, and a trail mix biscotti was a nice change of pace. Can't wait to get back!

A local institution, keep up the great work gang! My favourite place in the morning to have breakfast and get some work done, all within 5 minutes driving distance of URI campus! TLC is a favourite with the locals and it's easy to see why; a large variety of home made iced coffee on tap, baristas ready to rip you an espresso based caffeine or tea-eine concoction, and a food menu that extends from their ready-to-go breakfast burritos (mexican, sausage, bacon, italian) to a variety of combos you can ask for fresh of the griddle, and a list of baked goods that would make any aspiring baker a bit more inspired (french toast muffin hot on the griddle w/butter!). Service oriented staff with a great attitude and a clean bathroom just make this place an easy location to waste several hours on their decent wifi getting your emails in order.

We always call in here for a coffee when we go to the train station, it just calls out to us! The coffee is wonderful and it's hard to resist the tasty little treats they have. It's a place which oozes character and charm. Between that and the perfectly delicious coffee, it's a real gem. It's popularity speaks for itself, but there's always room for one more. So if you haven't tried it yet, it's well worth it.

The best ice coffee I've ever had anywhere. Many flavors to choose from, brewed with flavor and not made with syrups. The smores is particularly tasty. Their breakfast sandwiches are also amazing, they fry fresh eggs for each sandwich, nothing microwaved.

At URI for a baseball tournament and found TLC for a refreshing drink before heading home. Turned the next day ahead of our game, too. Friendly staff, comfortable place, and GREAT drinks! Wish it were closer to home.

This place has great coffee(i'm a regular hot coffee guy) and their baked goods are very good too. Try the berry scone. Their coffee is roasted on-site which is pretty awesome and they recently redid the entire inside seating area so it's very nice looking and comfortable.

From the freshly roasted high altitude beans done onsite to the unique decor like recycled door tables, this place makes a coffee experience quite special whether with my wife or family, or while doing some work, a treat. We always receive upbeat service and smiles and when the owners are onsite they are always sincerely inquiring about how we like their new menu items, chairs and even music. Love it!

Sweet little tucked away spot on a long tree lined RI woodsy road. Really great coffee variety choices as well as sandwiches and tasty desserts. Some items are gluten free and other foods take other sensitivities in mind. Staff has always been Great! Sign up for the rewards and tell them Rock from RI said to say "Howdy Neighbor!"

Great coffee and pastry. Had their House decaf and a banana chocolate coconut scone today. (I want more. NOW!) Some Bruce Wayne beans for tomorrow morning. They have years of roasting experience and take coffee seriously. Fun and helpful staff as well. I highly recommend stopping in if you are anywhere near URI. Or even if you aren't.

Large and interesting coffee selection but my breakfast sandwich order took forever to come out - multiple people who ordered after me got their orders first - and then my bagel was burned and my wife’s sandwich was missing a key ingredient. I got them to go so didn’t find the problems until I had already left. Very disappointing

Came in while I was visiting in the area (gotta support the local business!) and was blown away by the vast menu and then by the Americano I ordered. The barrista was thoughtful and considerate about how exactly I wanted my coffee. Highly recommend!!

TLC Coffee Roasters is a " go to" spot for coffee and homemade oversized snacks for " coffee and". There is an extensive selection of coffee both iced and hot. Coffee is also sold by the pound. It is a must when driving down rt 138.

I was confused; my friend ordered a coffee and they made it for her behind the counter. I stepped up, ordered a mocha, and then proceeded to wait for around 10 minutes until I asked someone behind the counter where my drink was. The person behind the counter said that they don't make your drinks, you make them yourself, and then put some ice and chocolate syrup in a cup and handed it to me. Not the nicest service, but the coffee was good.

From the road this coffee shop does not look like much but with an outdoor area, freshly baked treats and locally roasted coffee this place is awesome. There is a huge ice coffee wall to pick and choose different kinds and flavors. All the coffee is strong and you can often see it being roasted on the premise. Couches and tables inside for meeting friends or studying.

Coffee is delicious and selection is great! Just don't go for the food. Sandwiches are overpriced and easily could be made at home. We were also up charged for croissants which was especially disappointing when they were out and had to choose something else.

I buy 5 pounds of their John Wayne whole bean coffee every month for over five years now. It's the best I've ever had-and way better than Zabars or Fairway and the like.... I prefer mine fresh from a coffee MILL, french press 10 degrees below boiling, raw milk with maple syrup sweetener. Keep it up Dave, you make my mornings awesome!!!

I love TLC so much; when I lived in Kingston I would go almost everyday. It's the best coffee shop around, and I know there are a lot of them in the URI/Wakefield/Narragansett area. All their food is delicious (for egg sandwiches they use real egg, cheese, bacon, sausage, etc.) and the coffee is great too. There are a million different types of hot coffees and a ton of iced coffee flavors. The atmosphere is very cozy and pleasant as well.

We ordered a croissant with ham and cheese which was bigger and heavier than I expected, we also got a bagel sandwich with chourico, and a blueberry scone. Everything was very fresh and delicious. This quaint little shop far exceeded all expectations.
