The coffee is dark and bold yet never bitter. It's got a smooth mellow flavor that also packs a punch. If you're really lucky you'll catch the first cup off a fresh brew which is (remarkably) even stronger than their typical pour. The cappuccinos are also fantastic. If you want a shop that takes it's coffee seriously make the trip to Dave's. Otherwise, you can buy "just any coffee" on just about any street corner in Rhode Island....

I visited Dave's on a fairly busy day during memorial day weekend. Overall I was not super impressed with the drip coffee or my cortado. They were made well, and don't get me wrong the staff was helpful and efficient, but I wasn't impressed with the end product. Both drinks were lacking in strength and flavor. The establishment was also crowded and congested in some of the main areas and I constantly had to move around while in line and waiting for my beverages in order to accommodate other's similar needs. I'd be interested in visiting off peak hours or at their other location in Providence. I did purchase some intriguing black label coffee and I am excited to try that as well.

What a find! Perched atop a quaint bluff you will find delicious, original, caffeinated concoctions. To boot, their bakery items are other-worldly. Oh! And, the premises is so tasteful, cool, and even meditative, especially near their garden pond with the statue of Buddha sitting at its edge. This is my new favorite place in the area. I must say thank you to the progenitors of Dave's Coffee for creating such a fine establishment :) Thank You!

Camping at burling game campground and saw Dave's coffee sign and how it was extremely popular with cars lined up all along the side of the road. Unfortunately our visit was not too pleasant. First off the bathroom door had no lock and I had to guard it while my wife used it. Apparently it was crowded in there as well. The toilet is awkwardly against the wall. The barristas were friendly, but the food was subpar. My wife's hot chocolate was too milky to get any flavor from it. The blueberry muffin tasted like it was baked in an oven that has never been cleaned. There were flavors of bacon in it! The dining area was awesome. Peaceful park benches with sweet pillows to cuddle! That's right pillows! All in all however I will not be returning for seconds.

Cool coffee bar! All selections of caffeinated and non caffeinated drinks. Speedy and we'll trained staff that gets you your fix as you need it ha! You can call in as there is usually a line, for a good reason. They make fresh muffins and other simple pastry items. Enjoy!

Went out of way to get some cold brew, its was ok, a little bitter/sour which can be the case with very fresh roasted cold brew I have heard. My wife's hot americano on the other hand was amazing - enough to make me drink hot coffee. Baked goods were fresh, place was quaint and comfortable with nice people. Definitely worth a stop if in the area.

DaVe roasts all his own coffees and even makes his own all natural flavorings, like lavender vanilla. They also have amazing cold brew coffee. Amazing shakes like the jumping monkey that has cold brew espresso, a meal and coffee in one! The baked goods are made there and keep the place smelling sweet and fruity all the time. The muffins have huge , crunchy tops and are to die for. This place gets crazy busy in the summer with cars parked up rt 1. Beautiful outdoor area with stairs, flowers and coy ponds. There’s also a cute but expensive boutique next door to look around.

My first experience at Dave’s coffee is one I’ll never forget. Their friendly staff treated me rather nicely as I stumbled to order one of their phenomenal micro coffee brews. I happened to glance down at their pastry selection, as I hadn’t had my regular sausage, bacon, cheese, no egg, breakfast sandwich and found myself eyeing what turned out to be one of their S’mores treats. I immediately ordered one and the barista handed me my coffee and S’mores snack and I was on my way. I was in awe when I tried to take my first bite into the S’mores as I immediately had a flashback to earlier in my career working as a laborer in Coventry, RI. I haven’t tasted that much Portland concrete mix since a work related injury, resulting in OSHA shutting down the job site and terminating the construction of what would have been a new public middle school. After the literal dust had settled and my vision restored, I felt a warm drip run down my chin. Upon further inspection I realized that the rock-like S’mores brick had crushed my lower lateral incisor. I was lucky enough to have my local dentist postpone his family vacation in order to replace my shattered tooth. I continue to make frequent trips to Dave’s Coffee even after the dreaded incident. They have a lovely staff and excellent coffee, however, learn my sacrifice and avoid their concrete filled snacks at all costs.

After hearing so much about this place we knew we had to squeeze this in our short and sweet trip to RI for a quick beach day. We couldn’t honestly wait for coffee in the morning since we had a 2 hour drive ahead. Of course, we gave in and hit up our local Starbucks before taking off. Right as we’re driving back and saw the sign for Dave’s and realized it was still open, we literally pulled a crazy you turn and skurrrrrt our way there. I seriously wish we would’ve had more than a 5 minute quick stop because this was totally worth it. It’s one of those places where you don’t need much to immediately fall in love with it. There’s adorable seating outside where you can sip on your latte (or espresso), put your phone down and just take it all in. The indoor space is the caaayuuutest! It makes me want to pick up my laptop and sip on a drip coffee and literally just hang out there for a couple of hours. Definitely nice space to wine down and relax. Pups have to stay out so no dogs allowed inside. Make sure you’re dressed and have shoes on as well otherwise you’re stuck! I ordered a cold brew with vanilla bourbon syrup. I’m not a huge fan of sweetened coffee but i do have to say that it was a nice touch. I would like to order regular coffee next time. Oh, side note: THERE’S CORTADITOS AND CUBANOS AVAILABLE! So if you know, you know. Service was fast, there weren’t long lines like others have mentioned that it can get crazy in there. We did go towards the end of the day so that for sure helped out. The baked goods are made daily and maaaaaaaaaan did they look delish!!!!! Next time I definitely want to take this place more in. It for sure deserves a good hour of your time and not just a 5 minute hi-bye. Loved the overall experience. Though brief you don’t need much to love Dave’s. Quaint, cute and cozy. Can’t wait to be back in the area and enjoy this again but this time for realz!
