Whenever I travel to Newport, there's always a stop or two at Custom House Coffee. Best coffee on Aquidneck Island, and I've got to get some beans to bring home!

No pour overs. You can only get one of the 4 options they choose for you that day or you can buy it by the pound without sampling it. The medium coffee of the day I had was pretty awful. What coffee shop has dozens of unique coffee (single origin, single orgin organic, and blends) but doesn't provide any way of trying the coffee? They have one class on Saturday's where they let you sample. So they have the equipment and knowledge but can't be bothered to do make pour overs on demand? I asked the owner and he said "it'll slow things down too much". It's a coffee shop, it takes a few minutes to make coffee. Super agitating.

The coffee house lives up to its name it's the place to come for coffee. The zombie killer lives up to its name and is delicious! The decor its self is a reason to visit and if your lucky you may catch them roasting their beans!!

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place to anyone who loves coffee. If your looking for something sweet I'd recommend an Iced Vanilla Chai Latte and if your not looking for something that sweet a hazelnut hot coffee is perfect. Overall this place is my favorite coffee place on the island! :)

Frequent rudeness directed towards my age and gender from the staff made me stop buying coffee here after doing it weekly for 6 months (although it is very good :/) Disappointed and insulted enough to write this review. Sad to say I would rather brew at home than be regarded as a nuisance.

We felt a high level of customer service at this location! It was such a hit for us to be here and spend some time working in a different "office" at Custom House Coffee. The host and baristas were super informative and helpful! They even gave us coupons for free coffee on our second visit. This was a great stop for us as we traveled through the area!

Could tell right away this could be my favorite cafe on the island and will become a regular spot now that I’ll be living nearby. Friendly staff, amazing food offerings, and the coffee is obviously top notch. Warm and unique atmosphere and interior. Everything you want in a local coffee shop.

Good coffee. Lots of options. Will need to go back to try their nitro and hot cold brew. They sell beans as well. Very nice space to sit and converse or study or read. Was a little noisy early upon opening but maybe that was their getting ready for work music. Employees were nice and helpful. They have WiFi. Big plus.

Really nice staff but the espresso was made bitter by extracting way too much liquid and the latte milk was scalded so hot that it was not sweet anymore. Maybe just a fluke for that one barista, the morning of July 31st. Cookie was almost grainy with sugar but that's a ”different strokes" sort of preference.
