This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Coffee shop.
this place should not be passed up, it's the epitome of where one should be for good coffee and a quick in-and-out. Will always stop by here when i am in town, often times more than once in a single day.
They got rid of straws... thats cool. They also happen to have the best Iced Chia Tea Latte I've ever had. My friends that drink Coffee say its one of the best shops around.

super great coffee
Exceptionally friendly service and really great espresso
Best mocha with real dark chocolate
One of the best places for crossiants and chai tea latte!
We love our daily lattes at Zeke’s and the fact that staff know and remember you. Truly a neighborhood gem ❤️
Lovely ambience and coffee at the same rate as Starbucks
Best coffee in Pittsburgh. Also, he cafe is nice, the music is good, the staff is friendly, and the baked food is tasty. And like I said, best coffee. Which is most important.
Good coffee and snacks, but fairly pricy.
Great neighborhood coffee spot! And if they have the homemade shortbread on the menu... say "yes".
Fantastic coffee house, relaxed atmosphere inside or out. Knowledgeable baristas and wonderful baked goods.
Love this place! Every month they have some type of specialty drink, and they are always amazing. Even their drinks they make on a regular basis are great. Their baked goods are delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. Would highly recommend!
There is a very good reason why this cafe has a wait to get in. Very creative menu, and excellent quality smoked meats and eggs. Try the butterscotch bacon or lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes.
Awesome place
Good coffee and unique snack selections.
Excellent only place thay makes good milk chai not watered down tea. Bagels were food too.
Best coffee joint on the Eastside.
Always good service and great coffee!
We had an opportunity to try Zeke's at an outdoor flea market/art fair a few years ago and loved it. We are not from the area and have wanted to revisit Zeke's since. Today we finally had the chance and it was great! Bought two pounds of beans to tame home and had a great cup while we were there.
Good coffee but not enough seats
Zeke's roasts some of the best coffee in Pittsburgh.
Excellent coffee! Nice folks. You gotta try the chocolate pecan pie.
Fast, friendly service and delicious coffee roasted fresh on site.
Love the staff
Great atmosphere, coffee and friendly staff
Zeke's is my favorite coffee shop in town. They have a drive through nearby on Broad St. Lunch is served on weekdays. You can always get sweet treats as well as vegan made in house or from nearby bakeries. They make their own coffee and you can buy right on the spot or at any store that carries them. They have fair trade and other blends from around the world.
Great coffee, amazing atmosphere, very friendly service. I wasn't sure what I wanted but we were the only customers so the barista was very patient with me and helped me figure out what to get. I ended up with a Maple Latte, which was perfect for the season and delicious. There's a large, varied menu and plenty of vegan/hypoallergenic options. Fair prices, too!
Stumbled across this coffee shop while looking for coffee and a light breakfast while staying at a nearby hotel. What a gem, we enjoyed it enough to return the next morning and a different coffeehouse we tried downtown didn't compare. The coffee and espresso based drinks were spot on and I loved the chive and ginger scones. I also liked the relaxed, comfy vibe with outlets at each table.
The french roast dark was ok. Apple cider donut was good. Will try again.
Nice place with welcoming atmosphere! One can relax and enjoy their great coffee. I wish the choice of sandwiches were better, i.e. you get plenty of pastry but only couple of sandwiches to choose from.
Great service! Food was excellent and everything is super affordable. Most items were $10 and under. I was worried bc of previous reviews, but they obviously just expect everything for free lol. Would recommend. Super busy before pens games. I like to go right after the puck drops for fast service
Nice employees and good product but the vibe of the shop is off. It's uncomfortable to stay in the shop long enough to study and I've had very strange encounters with other patrons. Enjoyable to stay in the outdoors portion when warm.
Awesome little coffee shop. Excellent coffee, and they do have some pastries available. Looks like they try to use local and organic ingredients which is pretty cool. Free open wifi, no password.
Good coffee and baked goods. Seating is limited.
Best potato soup and soda bread I have had in a very long time! Perfect for a chilly day. Their raspberry bars are also amazing.
one of the Best coffee served in Pittsburgh
I just love this place and the flavors!
Always a friendly helpful place
Super cute but very expressive. Starbucks is cheaper.
They have great coffee and apple cider doughnuts! Yum!!
First server was so so. The guy server had a calmer and polite approach. Music volume was not overly loud. Liked that.
Zeke's is one of my favorite coffee shops in Pittsburgh. I try to come here every time I have to go to Target or Trader Joe's, which are right down the street. I usually get an iced latte, sometimes with hazelnut. It is always really good and the coffee shop itself is a nice environment with some natural light coming in, and still great for getting work done or reading.
Best coffee shop in P town. Moved here a year ago and have tried multiple others but find the people that work here and the atmosphere better than any other. Beans always taste freshly roasted and the espresso made right.
Great fair-trade coffee and wonderful baked goods. The maple coffee scone was delish! The staff are also super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth stopping here for your morning pick-me-up
Best coffee in town! I relocated to Pittsburgh from Cleveland and this coffee is the best I have ever had.
Great local place. Friendly and vegan options
Ordered the peace pizza to go this time. The food is always great but I don't go too often because it's very expensive. I guess you have to be a regular for the staff to be nice to you.
I can't say enough to convey how much I love Zeke's. Friendly staff, amazing coffee, delicious pastries, all in a newly renovated and comfortable space. They're my number one coffee spot. If only they opened a little earlier.
Drink was good I had a iced mocha and blueberry cheese tart not only that but i love the atmosphere. Will be coming back with more people and my family
Great spot. Staff was very nice and coffee was tasty.
Great coffee and atmosphere!
Wow, I didnt have a coffee BUT I had the absolutely most amazing ice cream sandwich ever. I had no idea an ice cream sandwich could be so good.
So glad I stumbled across this place! Great coffee, great service! Made my day <3
Good customer service and delicious coffee. The Maple Spice Latte they have is a delicious and well balanced alternative to the typical PSL.
Fun coffee shop. Good variety of drinks. Good food as well though not usually enough for a full meal.
This is a decent coffee shop, good beans and coffee. If you are looking for shop with a variety of single origin light roast options suitable for a pour over on par with Verve, Cartel, Birdrock, Duck Rabbit, Rising Star, Firecreek, etc, this is not the place.
Best Coffee in the East End, with the best staff. Everyone is so nice and friendly, and the coffee and treats couldn't be better. Love to hang out in the welcoming shop, or outside picnic style.
Good wake up coffee
I buy all of my coffee here now, great beans = great brew!
Nice place, friendly people. Had a nice conversation with a local.
Great place! Fresh and quality coffee, amazing customer service and really great atmosphere!
Amazing mocha! I love that they use other local, Pittsburgh products. It's usually pretty full with customers reading or working on computers, so when it's too cold to use the outdoor tables, it can be hard to find a seat.
First visit was good . Today 2nd visit wasn't so good. Customer service wouldn't rectify situation. Mix up about hot chocolate.
About on par with other coffee bistros as far as prices go but I must say that there coffee is amazing
Great atmosphere and amazing coffee. Very reasonably priced as well. Have had a couple snacks and was very satisfied, highly recommend.
Very good coffee
Nice little place located next to several services, making it perfect for grabbing a quick coffee drink be for your pedicure. The prices are reasonable and the coffee is a great quality. I'm not sure about Wi-Fi, but they have plenty of room to meet you study or meeting needs. It is not glamorous and does not have couches. So if you are looking for fancy, go pay higher prices elsewhere.
Zeke's cold brew is the best cold brew on Penn, Liberty, or Butler between Wilkinsburg and Lawrenceville!
I love this place! Very clean and employees are very friendly and professional! The coffee is delish
I love that they carry gf goat donuts
Nice location service tells you what what they have in specials.
great place
Excellent coffee & amazing dog biscuits!
One of the best coffee shops in Pittsburgh!
Really nice atmosphere in a nice part of town! Make sure to go in the days that Relish delivers pastries!!
Great coffee but a little pricey
Nice place to grab a coffee and charge your phone. Nice friendly staff.
I feel like people who don't live in the neighborhood totally sleep on Zeke's. There are so many coffee places in Pittsburgh that my friends swear by, such as ones in Lawrenceville. But the nice atmosphere, baked goods, and consistently fresh coffee have kept me coming here even before I moved close by. Can't wait to get a French press to make their coffees at home, the beans smell amazing.
Best roaster and coffee joint. Period.
Best iced coffee I've ever had and the bananatella muffins are something else. Parking can be difficult but well worth it!
Great iced soy latte. Also very cool zucchini bread. The seating variety is nice and the staff was very friendly.
I ordered a lemonade with some type of herb in it...it wasn't bad-tasting, just not as sweet as I would've liked. For the price, I'd have wanted a bigger size (with less ice). The desserts looked delicious but again, a little above my price point. I'm not above spending money for food but NOT for snacks. I suppose they cater to the new class of East Liberty, because I still have to watch my money. If you're not concerned about price, you may become a regular. It's a nice atmosphere.
Awesome coffeehouse for sure. For more cool places like this, follow on Instagram @thesophisticatedsipper
A great selection of drinks and breakfast pastries.
Great Vanilla Latte, outdoor seating is cozy, nice baked good selection
Cool place with even cooler drinks
Zeke's is always a great stop for coffee and treats, whether you're dashing off or hanging out.
This place has a cool vibe and the people who work here are really nice.
Cozy and good for working, and drip coffee is great.
Great cafe to get work done, catch up with friends or just enjoy some down time. The service is amazing too.
Burnt coffee.
The person who provided assistance with my selection was knowledgeable about the products not only the coffee prepared there but also the other products they offer from a cooler including the ingredients
My absolute favorite coffee place
Last week I went to Zeke's. Good service, tasty coffee. And they play great music for instance the Misfit's, Amy Winehouse, generally speaking they have good taste in tunes, in my opinion. I stop in here before work if I have enough time. Thanks, Zeke's!
GREAT coffee, friendly service. The owners wife makes the pastries: YUM!
I'm here once or twice week great coffee, friendly and prompt service and the baked goods are delicious....oh I almost forgot they play great music....
Strong and glorious! I love all the coffee options on the back wall and how some of the names of the blends tie into Pittsburgh. Was a big fan of the Buccs and Bloomfield brew. They have great little sweet snacks too. Only con, that east liberty traffic at certain times of the day. Cool place otherwise!
Surprisingly busy on a Sunday. Coffee was hot and ready roasted to perfection. Much better than the Starbucks in Target. I will be a customer there again.
Great place for coffee. If you like just plain black coffee they have really great stuff. Every day they offer a light, medium, dark, and decaf roast which rotate pretty frequently so you get to try all sorts of different stuff and find what you like. If you're more a mocha/latte drinker they have plenty of options and even make their own mocha in house. They have seasonal drinks that have always been great like Mint Hot Chocolate or Hot Apple Cider or Ice Tea. There are breakfast pastries including some vegan and gluten free options as well as breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal. Not much for lunch, usually just a soup of the day.
Great coffee! Quick friendly service. Cozy atmosphere inside but they also have an outdoor area.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch outdoors in the cafe. It was beautiful setting to enjoy a lunch with my coworker. The menu offered unique seasonal items that would certainly appeal to anyone. They also offer vegan and gluten free items clearly marked on their daily menus. Our server was friendly and attentive.
Got the coffee, AND a t-shirt. Nicely appointed place in the heart of East Liberty.
Food: Great.Their ice matcha remains unmatched by any I’ve had in the city. Shortbread isn’t bad either. Service: Excellent. Never had a bad server to date. Wait time is usually within 5 minutes. Overall: Highly Recommend. Definitely a great local to go coffee shop with outside seating in convenient location.
Super nice people and the coffee was good too.
Zeke's is probably my favorite coffee hutch in Pittsburgh. Great beans, yummy seasonal specials, and nomilicious baked good, it's well worth a drop by or more.
Particularly high-quality coffee, served in a welcoming and unpretentious environment. Zeke's also has some of the best accompanying food/snacks for a boutique coffee shop in this city. The staff is amazing. With good company, especially, you could spend hours on the couch.
The ran a pretty efficient game. Good dark brew of the day, not bitter. Who's the pretensious so n so critiquing the snobs there? Whatever
Fresh brew coffee and condiments in a cozy setting. The atmosphere is comfortable .Great place to relax with your refreshment .
Greatest smell, great service, great atmosphere, and really delicious coffee. Love going here.
Zeke's is an E. Liberty staple. Small but comfortable coffee shop where you're likely to run into Pittsburgh's movers and shakers. Zeke's local roasts and blends are well done with the proceeds often attached to a local cause.
Their rose gold latte was sooo smooth and the perfect amount of sweetness.
I absolutely love this place. The help is truly amazing. I could kiss them. The coffee is awesome. The pastries are what dreams are made of. A must visit all the time.
Great coffee, excellent lattes, and the shortbread is delightful.
Great, but not without a political agenda. Love the Guatemalan Antigua beans grown in Central America in volcanic ash on the side of an active volcano. You'll never taste anything like it. Just be sure if you get coffee here while conservative that you keep it a secret. It says "hate" isn't allowed right next to the front door. Your guess is as good as mine as to which groups are included in that. Why can't coffee just be coffee? Why must it be served with a side of social justice?
Nice place. Quiet. Friendly service. Indoor/outdoor seating. Wifi. Clean restrooms.
Hey, go get you some ZEKE'S right now.
This place has everything you could ever want, fresh pastries and delicious coffee. They have a wall of house roasted coffee beans to choose from so you can have a quality cup of local coffee at home.
The server were very rude.
Im not a coffee drinker but they have great hot chocolate and a very cool atmosphere
One of the best coffee shops I've been to!...Well besides the one in London by Lady Diana's Cat Emporium. If you like fresh coffee, their beans are the most fresh you can find around here! The atmosphere was one of the most relaxing ones that I could possibly be in too! If I were to pursue my career in writing, this shop would be my go to, there is no atmosphere better. My most favorite thing...is their lavender syrup, which they make! The pastries from local businesses is an added bonus as well! Support your local coffee shop!
Mexican hot chocolate always on point. Don't forget to ADD ESPRESSO
Coffee heaven, with great baked stuff. Warm Host. What else does one need.
Outstanding food.
Good Coffee shop. Coffee not so good. Zeke's has a nice atmosphere, a variety of fancy lattes, an assortment of tasty treats and friendly baristas. Unfortunately the one thing they should be getting right is having a really solid cup of drip coffee. I ordered a medium roast as it was my lightest option and the coffee tasted like a dark roast. I personally hate dark roasts so I was very let down. I've had lattes and espresso shots here before that were ok but nothing to write home about. Overall it's ok, but a bit of atmosphere and marketing over substance.
A neighborhood staple with a diverse clientele. Great coffee & great folks! Be sure to grab a pastry!
Best coffee shop in east liberty! You can get a variety of brews, always changing local pastries and a great atmosphere. Check it out!
The people are great and friendly. The coffee is good. If you don't like what they have available(and you can test it all) they will do a special pour over cup of something that you do. Great place, great service, great people.
Wonderful barista, great coffee , beautiful place.
I tried a cup of the oatmeal. It was bland and tasteless with an unpleasantly thick, gloppy texture. Improved with some salt and pepper from my hotel. Otherwise the vibe is chill and the baked goods look tasty
Excellent cappeccino with oat beverage. Even good vegan treats.
Great coffee, friendly service, usually super fast. One of my favorite coffee places in Pittsburgh.
Drinks a bit expensive but quality is fantastic.
Zeke's has a great drive through on Broad Street next to the post office. Fast and friendly service. Delicious treats. Wonderful Coffee
Great coffee, amazing ambience, cool AF staff.
Great cappuccino
Great drinks. Good baked goods. Relaxing atmosphere. Welcoming staff. Exactly what I want in a coffee shop. One of the best in the city. Would absolutely recommend.
Very helpful staff. Fast and friendly.
Kind of a weird vibe. Coffee is ok.
Really tasty coffee and they also have Leona's icecream sandwiches which is a very heavenly combo.
Great pumpkin latte period made their own whipped cream which was delicious
Definitely one of the best places for coffee in town. You need to try it if you already haven't.
Great atmosphere and great coffee BUT everyone should try the BananaNutella Muffins, they are the most delicious muffins I've ever tried in my life. To die for. 10/10!!!
Zeke's is great! I'm not a huge coffee expert, but I know a bit about good beans and the roasting process. Zeke's roasts 1 lb at a time, so the coffee is always fresh. It's a pretty small place, but they have plenty of options- at least I can never make up my mind when I go there. Plus, they're a great family owned business.
Went for espresso and hot chocolate for my sweetie. Ambiance was great, beverages were meh.
Very nice coffee and food
It's good, and wonderful that it's roasted locally, but overall it's a bit like specialty coffee 2.5. Most coffees are roasted darker than typical specialty coffee, and the espresso was served without a spoon or seltzer and tasted entirely of roast. Prices are expensive too -- $10 for a Chemex and $3 for an pull of espresso is pretty hefty.
Kelly #Creates a Dry Cappuccino for me which is beyond words. I just sit at Zeke's and Take the Cappuccino in. For a dry C to be great, you need to be a master #Barista. And Zek's has amazing ones - such as Kelly. Coffee & atmosphere - more fringe, which makes this a great place to hangout.
$2.25 iced coffee. Very friendly barista. Outdoor seating. Clean bathrooms. Free bumper stickers!
Some of the best coffee in town. Locally sourced food, great selection of breakfast pastries. This summer they have a coconut ginger cold brew, which is really fantastic.
Good coffee, interesting pastries (Earl Grey Muffin) and knowledgeable staff. I had a great conversation with the gentleman that made my espresso about all the different coffee varieties they sell.
Beautiful place to unwind
Great place. Lots of activity, good for people watching. Coffee could be better.
I love this coffee house
Loved the Caramel latte. It was delicious with the authentic taste of caramel. It beats Starbucks by a wide margin! The staff was very friendly and kind. I gave a four star because the place is very small and it's my first time there. However, the atmosphere was very quiet and sweet - I would give it another 1/2 star.
The iced latte was solid but unremarkable. The barista was friendly but short. It definitely seemed like a community institution--there's something about it almost closed down but the community rallied around it to keep it open--but it seems really out of place in the totally gentrified neighborhood. Customers were smoking like chimneys at the outdoor seating tables, just feet away from the door, and the employees apparently didn't mind or take the time to notice.
