Like this gem a lot. And I am so close. I have not been able to make it a regular spot. Although , very artsy and hipster...good food and above average menu, always talented people in the kitchen! I reserve the "HINGE", for special occasions, meetings and just a great little place.. pricey but worth it! And, very helpful, and a healthy clean menu...by all means GO! Enjoy, and go back often...being anyone who you want to impress...this place will get the job done... there's even a piano bar....enjoy!

Good good and service. Very cute and quaint atmosphere. Servers are very polite. Let you drink Momosa in here I guess you bring you own bottle get O.J from them. Breakfast ,brunch don't stay open all day. Plus just change schedule for opened days so look up times and days,but a must visit.

Pretty nice little spot in the cut. I love that it’s at the corner of a residential block. It gives a nice family atmosphere. I'll probably be here pretty often. Seems like a space I can go and eat and not be bothered with all the "extra" stuff that can sometimes come with living in Philly. It’s very quiet from “noise” but you still get the beauty of faint conversations in the background from guests enjoying each other over a meal. Food is good. Well, the meal I and my friend had and by the look of it, people seemed pleased with theirs. Also, the prices aren't bad at all. Service was good. Our waitress was friendly and made jokes throughout the time. She also was always looking to make a suggestion, which I love because it shows they take pride in where they work and want you to have a good experience. I recommend. Slide through.

This place is amazing, a true gem! My braised short rib eggs Benny was truly spectacular, and the cinnamon bun pancakes are ridiculously delicious. The wait staff was delightful, and the ambiance was simply elevated with the live piano music across from our table. I'll defiantly be coming back, and bringing my friends and family. I'm so happy i came here today

The atmosphere here is pretty nice. Every time I've been here, it's been a mellow, yet busy environment. Not sure if that makes sense but that's what I get from it. On days where the crowd is a little busy, the place gets really tight being as though it is quite small and the layout isn't that of a conventional restaurant. The food is pretty decent here and is worth adding to your repertoire of breakfast/brunch spots. They don't let you order takeout on Sundays (which is very odd) :-/

They have some delicious items on the menu -- but it can be "hit or miss." If you know what to get there, it can be great, but if not, you might be disappointed. I do, however, appreciate the diversity of their menu. They definitely have some interesting options! I really like the "breakfast hashes" and the fact that they have chicken sausage, and some vegetarian options on the menu. I'd say breakfast is much better than their lunch. The atmosphere is nice, but can be a little cramped at times, and sometimes there is a significant wait on a weekend morning. The staff is always kind and helpful, and I appreciate that. I am a tea person. I do not drink coffee, so I enjoy an unsweetened iced tea with my meals at times. However, on more than one occasion their iced tea just tasted HORRIBLE. I went with a friend once who actually sent his iced tea back because it was so bad. I'm not sure what is wrong with it... but they need to fix the iced tea! Overall -- the hinge is a nice place to go in Port Richmond, but if you want to venture elsewhere, there are definitely better options (inside and outside of the Port Richmond area.) Still, they get 4 stars from me for their kind staff, interesting menu items, and nice atmosphere.

now this place seriously caught my attention as soon as i looked at the menu. they have eggs Benny with smoked salmon and it is by far the most amazing breakfast dish I have ever had. they also have chai tea and other drinks. it's very calm and the service is great i will probably be there today. if you're looking for really good food look no further you found it.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to the hinge for quite some time now. The service however has progressively gotten worse. today was the last straw. The servers there are either rude or plain stupid which in both cases makes for an awful dining experience. Peace out hinge. You stink

My husband and I ordered a mozzarella basil panini to share, no meat. Our food came out with meat on it. The server took it back, and a few minutes later, came back with our food. The chef had taken out the meat, and replaced it with cold mozzarella. The bread was toasted but everything in between was cold. The chef used the same bread and just replaced the stuff in the middle. Frustrated and disappointed, we asked to just pay for our coffees at this point. The coffee drinks were really good. The staff was really nice and friendly. The staff didn’t make us pay for our coffee. Perhaps we just went on the wrong day. We will try this place again in the future.

Where do I start, one of Philly's hidden gems, so cozy inside -a fantastic kid friendly atmosphere and wait staff, there was a time when they offered a live piano player for brunch , not certain if they still do. They offer excellent everyday specials combining healthy choices with old fashioned comfort foods with fresh berries, fruits bananas & hot cereals. You can change add or subsitute almost anything on the menu, coffee is strong and robust & above all the prices are super fair and the art on the walls (that's for sale btw) peaks your interests outside of the ongoing subtule Flo of morning chatter that surrounds you. 51/2 stars all day! ** side note! To all my foodies and corner cafe loiterers.. Sunday brunch is packed so be aware and call ahead for actual wait times due to its seating capacity. And customers do and could wait up to an hour . call ahead ! take heed and govern yourself accordingly!

We've been going to Hinge for a really long time, and it's great. The staff is super kind, they give you coffee when there are long waits, the food is fantastic, especially the Eggs Benedict. It's a great local spot that has stood the test of time. At one point it did seem to be sliding down, about 3 years back, but they closed for two weeks, hired back old staff, and upped their game, and they are better than before. It's our go-to spot when we just want brunch to work out well, without a doubt.
