If this place ever closes I'll cry. I'm not usually a coffee person but Alabaster has some kind of magic that they infuse their drinks with and it is SO good. I really like that they tend to serve their drinks at a drinkable temperature - not that it comes out cold (unless you order a cold drink), but I don't have to wait for it to stop being mouth-meltingly hot: I can start sipping the moment they hand it to me. Every time I've been to Alabaster the service has been fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is spacious and pleasant. It can get a little wild in the mornings. It IS a coffee shop, after all. If I could make cappuccinos and lattes like theirs, I would definitely be a coffee person.

Since moving back to the area I found myself venturing to this aesthetically pleasing cafe. The coffee is the best in town an the proprietors have created a really perfect atmosphere to work on your lap top or hang out with friends. This open air cafe is probably one of the best downtown destinations there is.

I don't drink coffee, so my options are limited in a coffee house, however the hot chocolate was delicious. My girlfriend loved her drink (sorry, I don't remember what it was) and they had a nice variety. The price is great for how much you get in your drink. It wasn't necessarily the fastest from order to receiving your drink compared to chain coffee shops, but it definitely wasn't slow. Considering each cup is handmade, it seemed quite fast. It was also cool to watch how they did everything. Ambience was quite nice and unique. I would highly recommend supporting this local business.

I was in Williamsport for a meeting and I used Yelp to find me a coffee shop. I read the reviews and had to try this place out. I always try to go local if possible over Starbucks. It this time it paid off. I was very impressed by both the coffee and atmosphere here. The place If you like the ambiance of a coffee shop you will love this place. The walls are vintage brick and a great bar to walk up and sit at. They have have ample room so you shouldn't have too much problem getting a table most anytime. One note on parking, make sure you bring change to feed the parking meters, parking was sparse when I went. The coffee I had an Caramel latte and it was excellent. One thing I look for in a latte is can is balance of the flavor of the Espresso and the syrup. I could taste the great flavor of the coffee without the Caramel over powering it. I saw you can order their beans online which I am excited to give them a try. They also had pastries available that looked good but I didn't have any so I can't comment on them. So if you are in the area this place is worth the stop. Even if you are just driving through the area it is only a few minutes off the highway!

And if you want to know about coffee, the process, how to brew different types and become a home barista then definitely take their class. It's a great group or couples outting too. The owner is awesome and the staff are all super friendly. They'll take the time to explain anything about your drink or the process.

My wife and I was walking around Williamsport and felt an urge to get some coffee. So this place just happened to be right beside us. Beautiful decor, but it is a tab bit large for a coffee shop. So they definitely have room to make it a bit more cozy. Coffee was priced well and competitively lower than the main stream shops like Starbucks. The lady taking orders seemed a little out of it. She didn't seem to have a good sense of humor either. We bought one of their bags of coffee from Papua NG and wanted the beans grounded up so we didn't need to do it at the house. She asked how I wanted them to be ground up and I said with a mortal and pestle.... I at least thought it was funny.. the look on her face didn't though. Anyway the casual looking gentleman working the machines was a bit more of an extravert. He made our coffees and we were totally blown away by how great they tasted. They tasted as if they were well crafted and the subtle notes that were supposed to be tasted were in fact tasted. They have gained a repeat customer, the coffee beans I brought home to brew tasted delicious and I can't wait to try a different blend.

Alabaster has all the ingredients necessary for your typical coffee shop: Free WiFi, soulful music playing in the background, minimalistic decór, flyers on the walls of the restroom, and tasty (if not a bit pricey) baked goods and coffees on the menu. If anything sets it apart, it would be the tables, made of natural wood - they retain the original shape of the trees they came from. Each one is unique from the others. There are a couple of cashiers who seem as if they don't care to be there. As for the standouts, including the barista (a very upbeat fella), I'll have to get their names and come back to edit this; they deserve some credit. All in all, not a very ORIGINAL place, but a wholly ADEQUATE and satisfying one if you have the money to go there.

The atmosphere around alabaster is very cozy; it gives you that big city Brooklyn feel and small town comfort. The coffee is always brewed perfectly and they will gladly make you a new cup if anything at all is messed up. The staff is very friendly and sociable and it's a great place to meet great locals. Came here for the first time while waiting for the laundry and dude this place is legit!! I had the lavender honey latte and yo that’s heavenly!! A little on the sweet side but hey if it has “honey” in the name I suppose it’s meant to be sweet. It’s also extremely spacious, coming from NY this place is 10X the normal coffee house size from what I am used to. The 2 girls behind the counter is also very friendly! Oh and the WiFi is pretty fast too!

Espresso is served classic with a sparkling water and spoon. Always make a habit of stopping here when in Williamsport.

This was my first trip to Alabaster. Since I live out of town, I didn't know about the adorable shop until I walked by it. The service was amazing! I even got to see their assistant coffee roasters for the day (which happened to be a beautiful husky). My coffee tasted and smelled so good. My husband also enjoyed his latte.

I’m not crazy about having to come to Williamsport, PA periodically to see family, but when I do, this coffee place is by far my highlight. The espresso drinks are amazing. The quality of their stuff in general is in the same league as Manhattan and Brooklyn, very well done. Now if they just ditched their “no work on Sundays” policy, they’d get even more free of my money on the way out of town also.

This is my favorite coffee shop in town. Is it expensive? Yes. Do I feel like a coffee snob when I drink it? Probably. Will I continue to partake? Oh yes. The old shop was definitely too small, but since their renovation and expansion I've never found a time where I couldn't get a seat. The coffee is great and the staff rock. Alabaster definitely brings some much needed class back to downtown Williamsport, so if you haven't checked it out yet, it's a must!

The coffee is the best! Personally I think it is too dark in there; the lighting is a little too low. Really cool wood tables and counter area. Pastries aren't always the freshest. I find it somewhat pricey, but cheaper than the famous name coffee shop.

Tanzania Pour-over — excellent. Great NE and NW decorum. Pickup some of the weekend’s happenings at the cafe bar or one of the two community tables. If flying solo and feeling introspective, try the small two top with a window view of the W Fourth St sidewalk and passerby.
