Loved the tour of the local roasters on the Eastside. I learned so much from Lora, our host and guide, and she really made us all welcome and taught me a lot. I never knew how much I didn't know about coffee roasting and preparing and how to taste it. I highly recommend the tour and will take another soon.

Great tour of some truly fantastic micro-roasters! Don't know what a micro-roaster is? You will by the end of the tour! =) Lora is a wonderful and friendly guide who knows the Portland coffee scene inside and out (and also gives great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit.) As a moderate coffee drinker, I hadn't realized how much an art form coffee can be, and I loved trying the different coffee brews and learning how to taste and smell different notes in coffee blends. If there is one tour you do in Portland, this is it. Highly recommended.

Highly HIGHLY recommend participating in one of these tours. Lora is extremely organized and knowledgeable about all things Portland, especially coffee! My husband and I had a wonderful time walking around with her during the Pearl/Northwest Tour, but I think any of the tours would be time well spent!

My husband and I did the Eastside tour two years ago and loved every minute of it. The tour took us to six different roasters for a thorough and indepth look into third wave coffee. it became a "coffee awakening" of sorts and sparked a real passion to know more about coffee, the social innovation behind direct trade and, of course, enjoying the various and delicious art form wherever we go. Bottom line, we've become obsessed with coffee. Fast forward two years and we're back in Portland on another coffee tour. This time it was A Streetcar Named Delicious. And delicious it was. Our guide, Brianne, really made this tour fun with her passion for coffee and engaging personality. She also had great recommendations for things to do around Portland too. In both tours our guides made the whole experience friendly and approachable. No pretentiousness here. If you like coffee, you will like these tours. It's a great way to experience Portland that is equal parts informative, engaging and approachable.
