REVIEWS OF Stepping Stone Cafe IN Oregon

Enan Del Rio

Food was good. I liked the burrito my friend got and also my omelet was really good too! I probably should have taken a picture before eating most of the food, but sometimes you forget. Worth checking out and staff was very friendly and accommodating.

K.J. Hinton

Quirky but excellent comfort food, including among the most massive, excellent pancakes (mancakes) you can find. Good service, solid menu with quality choices and great prices. Never fails us.

David Meyers

Good service, good food, good price. Creative menu options. I enjoyed it.

Keith VanVickle

Five star food and service in a vintage setting. Best breakfast value in North Portland.

Steven Moores

Went for brunch, was not disappointed.

Jessica Wilson

Eggs benedict w gravy on my hashbrowns....n a bloody mary 4 dessert

Kaia Celestial

Shared with hubby: Italian scramble was great, chicken fried steak was great, duck eggs sunny side up tasted more mild than a chicken egg and that was a positive for me since the taste of yolk can get to me sometimes. The mancake is fluffy and huge but can get dry. I'd love to get some fruit cooked in it to get that moisture without pouring so much syrup.

Muzafar Md Yusof

Grimm!!! But seriously, the food that are posted here makes me curious and want to come down here to eat!

H Washington

Friendly staff. Great food. A biscuit the size of my palm and very attentive servers despite the packed capacity of the restaurant. It's a special place that will allow you to not feel rushed even when a line is formed outside it's doors!

Robert Bremmer

Quirky-fun decor, exceptional food. Feta cheese on hashbrowns is excellent!

Britta Bracy

Perfect Eggs Benedict! The service was amazing! Music was on point! A must eat at place!

Ariel Interian Ek

Always good service and food

Kelly Kenoyer

I love this place. “You eat here because we let you.” Iconic. And the biscuits are fluffy and the size of your head! Make sure to try the jam, too.

Canon B

Killer breakfast, highly recommend. Rich neighbor bought everyone mimosas while we were there. Thanks dude, whoever you are

james norton

Great, little, neighborhood diner. Next time I'm going for the "Mancakes"!

Rich B

Great drip coffee and large portions that don’t sacrifice favor. My girlfriend had the Smothered Badass, which was fantastic because that chicken fried steak is perfect. I had one of the specials, which was hash browns and carnitas, and it was quite tasty. Nice cozy atmosphere and a friendly wait staff as well.

Cresten StClair

Great greasy spoon. Extremely competent, patty melt is awesome

Brice Sutliff

Amazing food and cozy dinner

Xavier Brothers

Great food! Definitely worth the wait in line. Great biscuits and gravy

Dimitry Kopets

The food was good I would give it 4 stars for taste. but why I'm giving 3 stars is the decore was dark music was hard rock even in the morning. The restrooms looked worst than an abandoned outhouse. So I'm not sure how sanitary the kitchen is. We will not be back.

AJ Bormann

Great place. Service was awesome (thanks server # 5 Jeff) Food super and great value.

tweetiebird in-pdx

I've been going to the Stepping Stone Cafe since the 1970's and I've always found the place to have great food at a reasonable price and a friendly atmosphere. Warning - the cafe gets packed on weekends with a line waiting outside for a table so either go during off hours or be prepared to wait on Saturday and Sunday.

drphosferrous

Above average dinerfood with nice atmosphere, drinks, and good prices.

swapnil kambli

Horrible. Frozen fruits. Canola oil fried smelly hash brown (which didn’t even look like it) Absolutely avoid unless you have low standards for food.

zachery andrich

Got the BFK coffee which was great, the perfect amount of stong with flavor. The chicken fried steak and gravy is delicious, filling and goes great with the house made biscuit. Friendly and quick service make sure everything is up to par, and it is! Affordable prices all around and as you read down the menu each thing looks as good as the last. My brother reports the pancakes are big!

Tobin Whitaker

This place is a Portland staple for a reason. Fun atmosphere and great food at a reasonable price. We'll be back for sure.

Spencer Hubble

This is a great little diner scattered with portland art and odd signs and decor. The service is quick and friendly and the food is delicious. I recommend trying the belgium waffle special! The bacon cooked into the waffle along with the raspberry sauce makes for a great blend of sweet & savory deliciousness!

Dan Logan

"You eat here because we let you" is there motto, need I say more?

Jennifer Pasquill

Love this place, been coming here occasionally over the past two years. Pro tip #1 - avoid the 1-2 hour brunch line wait and come later in the day (think after 3pm). They serve the same delicious brunch items all day long. Pint glass sized $9 mimosas are awesome! Mancakes are nearly unfinishable, yet still delicious. Waffles, eggs, bacon, always done perfectly. Pro tip #2 - save room for a thick delicious shake for dessert, one of the best strawberry shakes I've had in Portland!

Hutton Gaehler

Never been disappointed!

Caleb Hann

Delicious food, very filling!

Maria Umbarger

Amazing breakfast! The best French toast and pancakes!

Nivedha Seshadri

My favorite brunch place hands down in all of Portland - their veggie options are to die for and their large mimosas are just wonderful!

Roman Pavlovich

Great mancakes and friendly staff

Adam Valls

This place is and continues to be my go-to for breakfast in Portland. The service is quick and the people are always nice. I was underwhelmed by the hash browns, but the gravy easily makes up for it. I would highly recommend trying the smothered badass. It's a massive omelette stuffed with heaps of fried goodness. In summation: this place is a well rounded icon, so don't let the hash browns stop you from giving them a go!

Sophie Anderson

Love Chris! He's one of the best servers/waiters I've ever known. Food is always good and it's open until 2 AM on weekends. Their specials are one of a kind and their "mancakes" are a must.

Abby Daley

Amazing food and great service. Very cramped space and strange decor but totally worth it.

Tien Le

The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, excellent service. However food isn't that great, idk what the conmotion is all about. There are so many people waiting in line when I went Sunday morning. Omelette is super average. You can try for the American breakfast experience but the food isn't so amazing.

Doug Ransom

Excellent breakfast! Eggs, sausage links, potatoes and the huge mancake were all tasty! Great service and friendly staff, too!

Jen Miller

Biscuits & gravy better than memaw’s!

James Carter

GREAT FOOD. Lots of it for the price, seating can be limited at rush hours and the staff is small, but they work hard to keep things flowing smoothly and quality is consistant.

Elizabeth M.

One of our favorite local spots to visit for a quick bite! A must try in PDX.

Samara Howard

one of my favorite places to eat in all of portland!! big, delicious, filling portions for cheap. also, the cinnamon rolls are to die for. AND THEY'RE HUMONGOUS. do yourself a favor and come eat here. it'll be worth your while. just be sure to take any valuables you have OUT of your car

Cam Morris

Great little spot, try the mancakes stack or the biscuits and gravy. So good! I would avoid peak hours, since the can be quite the wait, but head into work late one weekday morning and it will be amazing

Alan Kiphut

Always good food and great staff!

Chris Vaughn

Was disappointed. Expected more from what I read about it online. The pancakes were like rubber. Couldn't even cut it with a knife. The banana bread French toast was good. My friend had a veggie burger that she said was good. The staff was very friendly. There is no room to wait inside the restaurant to be seated so you have to stand outside. No benches or anywhere to sit while waiting. Place needs a thorough cleaning.

Rebekah Morgan

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent value!!! Yummmmmmmm!!!

Tara LeMaire

Very large portions for the price & excellent staff!

Kurt Bosch

"There Is No Sadness That Cannot Be Cured By Breakfast Food" - Ron Swanson "I like to eat breakfast alone, and almost never before noon; anybody with a terminally jangled lifestyle needs at least one psychic anchor every twenty-four hours, and mine is breakfast." - Hunter S. Thompson I prefer to eat with company, but the Stepping Stone Cafe has a great Norman Rockwellian counter when you are a party of one...

Emily Jespersen

Hands down my favorite breakfast spot in the city. The Specials Board is what's up. The staff are down to earth and friendly. Best part - it's not overrun with hipsters! I've lived in and around Portland my whole life so it's nice to see a place (especially in the Alphabet district) that is so low key. I've never ordered anything I didn't like, the coffee is bottomless, and there are some weird dolls that hang from the ceiling. Come here, but don't tell your California tech bro friends about it. If it's busy, just sit at the counter.

Josh M

The guy was cool and nice, food was good.

Stephen G

The real deal.. good food & friendly atmosphere make for a great meal. Portland's best diner.

Kevin Hoover

Great neighborhood gem that serves high quality & large portions at very reasonable prices. Most of the time there is a line (especially weekends), but worth the wait. A great place to take visitors from out of town.

Steve Kassing

3 egg burritos were great and absolutely stuffed. The kids got bacon cheeseburgers and were very happy. Ordered a Mancake for us to split and it was pretty awesome. Not a lot of seating, but that just makes the place all the more cozy. Highly recommended.

Nik Schonstal

Great food " the duck egg Benedict was awesome" the service was great sure the food was slow. If your there for a layed back brunch it worth the wait.

Margaret Kreder

Really popular place serving both normal breakfast and lunch food and some unique specials. I was having stomach issues before I even got there so didn't get to enjoy my meal, but others in my party loved what they ordered. Would really like to come back when I'm not feeling terrible and try some of their food! The staff was very friendly and despite it being very busy we were served relatively quickly.

outchay ole

Greet people good food. Good atmosphere. Been here three times nothing but best service.. ll keep coming..

Wes Rundle

Had an excellent breakfast here the other day. The biscuits and gravy were really good, had a side of the sausage patties which were amazing. The coffee is really good for a greased spoon. Really liked the details of all the toys hanging from the ceiling, when the doors open they all raise in unison haha

Aidan Maxwell

Great place to get a good Southern Breakfast. I am a transplant from Nashville and let me say, it can be hard to find great southern style cookin' out here. Stepping Stone knocks it out of the park. Great service, fun atmosphere (though a little hard to hear when they are packed), and awesome food. The biscuits and gravy here is Southern Approved. Y'all be proud now, ye' hear?

Tri Tang

What an amazing experience. The tables don't hold enough people and everything is small and crammed together. The tables aren't even big enough to hold the food! The staff is amazing. The guy who works here is very nice and attentive. The food is great for the price and you get a whole lot of it. I recommend getting the Cajun tater tots. For a cheap price you get more food than you know what to do with and the service is excellent and worth the tip. I'll be coming back!

Preston Coll

Amazing cafe, great food and positive atmosphere

George Kyrke-Smith

Well worth its reputation - the food is delicious, and the service is efficient/friendly too. Fills up quickly so get in there early!

Kelsey Jorgensen

Wonderful food and great customer service. If your going alone there not as personable, but they are pretty attentive to getting your order and food right out, and make sure you have everything you need. They were planning too hits from the 90’s I found that really fun! I took myself there because it was my adopted daughters birthday, and missed her but wanted to celebrate with a good breakfast to start my day out. I went in my sweats, you can dress however you like here no judgement, which felt good because I don’t typically go out in sweats.

Jonathan Willden

Bacon is mediocre, eggs were under cooked and bland, the pancake was very dry and hard to cut. The breakfast enchilada was good though.

Kristine Peterson

Very good food. Love the atmosphere.

Amy Frugoli

We went on A Sunday at 10am so there was a bit of a wait but normal for a local little diner in PDX. Service/staff was fantastic, coffee was delicious. My food was good, but not mind blowing, and besides the pancake (mancake!), my meal serving size was , surprisingly, really small. It wasnt a bad experience by any means & I would go again and try something different as there were lots of things on the menu that sounded delicious.

David Schuck

I enjoy the veggie scramble. People are friendly and the atmosphere is very casual. If you go weekend mornings, prepare for a wait list.

Zach Child

Pretty good, used to be better - a lot better They are usually quite busy and I think the volume has lead to a drop in quality

Phillip Bourke

The first time I went the service was just so so. But the second time it was fan-tas-tic. Stepping stone is stepping up their game. Five stars!

dc cruz

Luv da food

Christine

10/10 would recommend this cute diner. It’s just like a classic diner with huge portions of biscuits and gravy. The wait staff is friendly and down to earth. Not to mention the classic rock playing in the back ground. Come here if you’re in the mood for comfort in the cold Portland weather

Raeven Longanecker

Delicious food and friendly staff!

Geoffrey Olson

Great food, huge portions

James Bickford III

Chicken fried steak was exactly what I was craving. So full. Fair prices, fast service.

Bulldog Sallee

Not very big place size wise but the food portions were huge and delicious. Server was friendly and attentive. Only in town a few days but will definitely go back. Neighborhood is very cool.

Edward Ross

This is ny favorite place to get breakfast on a saturday morning the food, portions, service, staff, pretty much everything you can think of are all top notch.

Miranda Seybold

I mean, they fed me. And it wasn't cold. Otherwise it'd be 1 star. Had to wait about 15 minutes, then got seated and it took another 10 to order. It took then a full on half hour to bring us our appetizers. The two couples behind us got their food and finished it way before ours. When we got it, the flavor seemed off, and the hash browns were very oily and undercooked. Won't visit again.

shira long

Great service and great food. Huge portions. Good spot if you can find the street parking.

Bianca Mitchell

It's a cute little place with a lot of character. The service is defintely 'Portland style' but that's okay, the scenery will distract you while you wait. My order came out wrong but they were quick to fix and comp my meal. I actually really enjoyed my ham, sausage and cheese omelette very much. I will be back.

Michael Roland

The ghost of old cool Portland haunts this place. Also, the food is very good.

Mike Ching

Some of the best breakfast I've had in Portland. Friendly staff, great tasting food, and huge portions will keep me coming back. I highly recommend the corn beef hash or the chicken fried steak.

Jesse Thadeus Silva

I had the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy and fries. It was delicious. I haven't had sausage gravy in a very long time and this one was really good. The over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The service was perfect and friendly. Whole restaurant was really clean. I didn't give it 5 stars because the food didn't beat the chicken fried steak I had in Texas and the price of the meal was too high.

Alice Austin

Our family has been coming here for years. The food is awesome as always. We love the portion sizes for each meal. The price is very reasonable. Menu selection is good for many tastes. If you love pancakes, you have to try a ManCake! Warning! Order one only. I’ve never been able to finish just one ManCake.

Pam Winklesky

Small local restaurant You eat here because they let you I love the vibe here. They're famous for their man cake. The wait was very manageable especially for 10 am on Father's day We eat want diets - I try not to eat gluten or dairy. He avoid nightshades and eggs (and tries to avoid gluten and dairy too) We enjoyed a good meal. Substitutions and changes were made with a smile. We'll be back

Travis C

The food was great and the staff was great. Everything I want when sitting down for breakfast.

Kaley Hurst

Delicious food in a restaurant where even my loud kids arent the loudest talkers. 10/10 in my book

Savanna The Aqua Llama

This is a lovely place to eat. While the seating is minimal and the lines can be long (especially on the weekend,) the hearty homestyle breakfast and ample portions are delightful. It is by far one of my favorite places to eat and I have yet to find anything on the menu that wasn't delicious and well made. My dad and I get there very early so that we can get a table. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is like a cozy home. If I could, I'd give this place 11/10!

Onika Siegel

What an amazing Portland Gem! We ate here the other day and it did not disappoint. Great diner, huge portions, delicious and fresh food - service was spot on also!

Ty Alyea

Sometimes you just want to enjoy an old fashioned, unpretentious diner experience. Stepping Stone delivers this experience, but also delivers high quality, delicious food. The slightly standoffish motto, "you eat here because we let you," is belief by the genuinely friendly staff. I wish I could go here every weekend!

Jon York

I go here fairly often for breakfast with friends. The food is great, not expensive and the staff is very friendly. Depending on when you get here you may have to wait, as it can get pretty busy, especially on the weekends. A great little diner that serves hot coffee, warm smiles, and delicious food

Milla

super good. plate size is great. can never go wrong with some breakfast y'know

Mike Hathaway

You need to pop in here!!! Fast friendly service, plenty of jokes, and great food. Portion size is huge so come hungry!! Mancakes are monstrous and fluffier than down pillows. Absolutely brilliant food.

Emmanuel Scott, M.D.

The service here was really good but the food was subpar at best. I ordered the eggs, pancakes and the hash browns. The taste was subpar at best. They gained points for including egg whites on the menu as an alternative option to egg but the pancakes tasted like “cardboard”. Granted, I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the other items on the menu but overall my experience here was mediocre. Hopefully, when I visit here in the future, I could edit my rating.

Lonnie Rewa

Great food. Funky, laidback atmosphere. This place is always busy. They can be a little "forgetful" about checking on you after they deliver the food.

Ti Tei

We knew it from Man VS Food and were delighted to have the fantastic Mancakes here... Great!

Karl Dohan

This place is simply proper.

S J

omg the best place to get onion rings! best place to get perfect food that is satisfying. yes, there is always a line but good food is worth the wait! now why is my phone not Capitalizing my sentences?!

Ashley Guthrie

Food and service are impeccable. Wow!!

SaxyOne S

Good service, killer food, laid back atmosphere. Definitely will be returning. Try the cinnamon French toast it's a dang delight.

Kyle Acree

Best breakfast I have had in a while, I would reccomend to anyone coming to Portland

Kayla D

Always a great experience. Good food & solid service.

Jessica Kuhn

It's always perfect, great food and staff - generous portions.

Dacoda Nelson

Absolutely adored going here for brunch. It was a nice, cozy, relaxed atmosphere and the server was friendly and efficient. The meal itself was really delicious homestyle cooking with pretty big portions and while it took a little while to get there it didn't feel like it because between coffee and conversation in a comfortable little corner the time passed swiftly. They also didn't rush us out the door by slamming down the tab the second we'd finished our second slice of toast like a lot of smaller cafes often do. Will absolutely be returning.

David of Patience

Always a good place to eat.

Jennifer Bright

Love this place! Any time we're in Portland for breakfast we come here. Cozy place, great food and service

J. Justin Daniels

Great late night breakfast

Jimmy Brown

Great Food, Great Service! Our Server Jeff did a great job huilding rapport with my friends and I, we had a good time, my buddy left his phone and they kept it secured until we made it back to pick it up! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOME GREAT FOOD WITH GREAT PRICES AND SERVICE COME TO STEPPING STONE CAFE, give Jeff a tip.

Jonas Wilson

cramped space with pretty okay food

Denise Troxell

Very Portland. Young crowd. Comfort food.

Nicola Scott

Brilliant. Food great.

rex non potest paccare

My favorite restaurant in up town.

Pamela Harrington

Watching Adam Richman eating at your place on food network!!!

Curtis Partridge

A Portland institution, a small crowded space with wicked good food. Their Reuben sandwich ranks with the Rialto's and Fuller's. They're best known for breakfast, so if you go for the first meal of the day, best go early as it fills quickly and the wait can be long.

Ronald O'Riley

I decided to get biscuits and gravy when they brought it to me and my daughter it wasn't even warm. The water we were drinking was warmer than the food!

Hannah Burcham

Yum!! This place is the bomb. Always packed...but worth the wait. Staff is awesome, food is even better.

Janice Amos

Fun and great food. The eggs Benedict was good and the cinnamon French toast was good and not soggy. It is a very small diner but the staff is friendly.

Laurel Barton

Always a treat! Great service, great food! Omelets can't be beat!

Undrea Magdaleno

Our son brought us to this trendy little spot. We got very lucky, no lines and was seated right away. Food was delicious & plentiful. Service was great. Prices were cheap especially for the servings you receive. Make this a go to spot. My husband and sons left very happy and full. Only complaint is the restrooms reek like pee. Overall was very pleased.

Audrey Zindler

Delicious & large helpings worth the wait to get in.

Alex Boyd

This place would have easily received a five star review had it not been for the experience I had paying the bill. I came here on a busy Easter Sunday with my parents having travelled all the way from Eugene, Oregon to try the "Amazing" food. After our dining experience it turned out that my parents forgot their Bank card, however, they had cash from my mother's purse and I made up the difference with my card. The cash was more than the bill, and I basically needed to cover the tip. When I proceeded to pay the bill the waiter attempted to force me to pay a higher tip by including their 18 percent tip estimate automatically. Where I grew up, we paid 10 percent if the experience wasn't that great, 15 percent if it was good, and 20 if it's exceptional. This was a good experience that leaned towards the lower for a couple reasons I'll leave out this time around. When I asked for the right amount to be billed, the waiter proceeded to imply that people stiff them on their bill all the time and that they automatically charge 18 percent because of that reason. This coming all the while he's already holding more money than the bill and arguing with me about how he can't ring up my card for a tip. I don't know what you folks do when you split a tab but it seemed your waiter couldn't seem to grasp this concept very well. I enjoyed the food very much up to the point where he came around and topped off our water cups and in doing so spilled water on my food with no attention to why this was a bad thing. I'm hesitant to try this again, and hope others don't have this experience. The food was great, but the service buried what was good in a poor closing experience.

Sarina R.

If you’re looking to get comfort food in Northwest Portland but not break your bank, then Stepping Stone Cafe is the place for you. Super quirky Portland vibe, funky art (albeit a little on the strange side), bottomless coffee for $2.75, and comprehensive assortment of dishes including all day breakfast. The menu items range from $6 for a short stack (beware even the two pancakes that come with this are the size of the plate) to $11 for eggs benedict. It’s very busy on a weekend morning or afternoon, and it may take a moment to get seated. The wait staff was very friendly, although it took a little for the food to be brought out - likely due to the crowd. Another thing to be aware of is that the place isn’t great for large groups of people, since there is a first-come-first-serve bar, and the other tables comfortably seat up to 4 people. For those with late night weekend munchies or drunchies, they’re open til 3am!

Joseph Sage

Food is pretty good. Mancakes are huge. Menu says hashbrowns, but they are fried potatoes which were very good. They were fried with bacon so nice touch. Place is small but very interesting. Waitstaff was very friendly and service was pretty quick.

jay wabel

Great old timey restaurant with delicious food and excellent service, I recommend their smothered badass omelet.

Paul Cook

Good service. Good food. And a little attitude. What's not to like?!

Sterling Gordon

Great breakfast place, owner of the famous " "mancake" the very large pancakes which were featured on man vs food I believe. The service is great and this place is awesome for a late night breakfast dine in. Has that old school diner kinda feel. A true breakfast gem, fantastic hollandaise sauce btw!

Anthony Hoffman

Stepping Stone never fails to put me into a food coma. Come here for a great bang for your buck. Comfort food, breakfast all day, you name it! They've got it all and in big ol' portions. Everything in the menu is bomb and they have a rotating specials menu as well. If you're into desserts they've got you covered as well! 10/10--would recommend.

CHRIS CAMPBELL

Food maybe good but service is terrible Make sure you have plenty of time and be aggressive in getting them to take your order and get drink refills We waited close to an hour for food

Janet Hollaender

10 stars + , the wait staff was delightful !

James Battison

Awsome wholesome food. The pancakes with maple syrup are great. So is the rest of the food.

Alex Allegri

Best breakfast ever!

Daniel Garcia

Been going here for 7+ years now and this is one of the best, if not hands down the best breakfast diners in Portland. I've gone in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening, never needing to order anything other than breakfast and it has always come out perfect. Their ham and eggs sandwich is amazing. Biscuits and gravy are amazing. Pancakes? More like mancakes. Yup, they're a Portland staple and have great service to boot. None of this hipster attitude you get at most places now. These guys will serve it up like champs and they've got the chops to back it up. I will always come back and eat here

Clark Harty

Good breakfast food all day long

Brooks Duggan

Want a great place for breakfast, while feeling weird in Portland. Then look no further! Stepping Stone Cafe has got it for you. I had a Neo Cat omlette with a side of a mancake, topped off with their house coffee. From decor to food, praise the food demigods - I could lick it from top to bottom. Ask for Matt when you get there too, best service and personality you could ask for.

Dawn Segan

I've been here several times usually super busy. Luckily today was more mellow. Food has always been good and the staff is friendly. Today the bartender was Matt M. Great guy and awesome ti talk to.

Constantine Hatzidakis

Great little greasy spoon with huge pancakes!

Briana Wheatley

Amazing breakfasts and incredible staff! Down to earth, kind, and efficient! Great coffee! The food is filling and unpretentious. I love their cheese blitzes and they always have a great omelet on special.

Deena Horowitz

A simple, little diner that has consistently delicious food and fast service!

N L

Great eggs Benedict! Life is good.

kathryn berg

Hungover? Come here for greasy af hash, biscuits and gravy bigger than your hands, mimosas and bloody Mary's to ease the pain, chill service and good music. It's a classic diner vibe but more Portland. Prepare for an hour wait during peak brunch hours though.

Ben Miller

You eat there cuz they let you. And you're damn lucky for it too.

Spencer Wuthmann

Delicious breakfast and friendly fun staff!

Richard Wolf

The best chicken fried steak I've ever had. Really friendly people a little bit of a wait but worth it.

Suzie M

I came here a party of 3 they skipped us multiple times and they said they will get us a table and we will be next that didn't happen. Waisted 45 minutes and had an argument with my brother

Soul Trap

Everything was great. Decent spot that I hight recommend. The hashbrowns are not hashbrowns otherwise I would give a solid 5 spot

Eli Vega

Every time I have been to stepping stone it hasn’t been packed or have I had to wait for seating. I have only tried the omelettes and pancakes which are always great and the portions are huge! The only thing I don’t like is the customer service the waiters aren’t very nice or friendly.

Joel Sandhorst

Decorated cafe slinging coffee and American breakfast around the clock. The food is average and predictable, but sometimes you can't beat a good ole American scramble at 2:00am!

George Gonzalez

With super kitsch decor, great service, delicious breakfast foods, and bottomless coffee, you have everything to gain by coming to this Cafe. The only thing you'll lose are your socks when they get knocked off your feet. Enjoy!

Doug Wiese

Very busy place for breakfast, expect a wait. Food is fine breakfast fare, drinks are good (and a good size).

Leah K

Worth the wait! My favorite breakfast spot in Portland. Same staff for years. I have never had bad service or been disappointed by the food. It is all delicious!! The coffee is excellent!

DAN MILLER

Delicious Bacon Cheese Burger and my Girlfriend said her French toast was amazzzzzing!! Love this place!!

Richard Ortega

Get here early. There is always a line. Worth the wait. Fantastic breakfast.

Jim Nasium

Incredible diner with awesome decor and delicious food. The smotherd bada** is one of the BEST things I have ever had the privilege of eating.

Rachael O'Connr

Amazing food and a GIANT mimosa! Service is great. Get there early to get a seat

Jayde Weide

Love this place. Service is great, food is amazing!

Curtis Samuel

Tofu "scramble" was completely inedible. It was just soggy vegetables topped with tofu croutons. Would've rated 1/5 stars but the service wasn't bad and I enjoyed the tea and biscuit.

Silas Elash

Good food and fun place. Lots of choices. Enjoyed it.

Shelby Collins

I love this cafe. My fiance and I have eaten her twice, but each time has been a very pleasant experience. Great food, great service, and a fun/quirky atmosphere. We venture from Vancouver, WA to have breakfast here and it's always worth the drive. Beautiful little neighborhood

Laura Choi

Such a special place and team. Glad we got to meet Matt on his last day!
