This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Cafe.
lots of Rachmaninoff, didn't hear any Rimsky-Korsakoff, wished the pianist would play some Debussy. My girlfriend spoke extensively of how hot the pianist was. Service moves at like 3 bpm but it's still lit regardless
Funky (see pics of the restrooms) down to earth cafe with great lemonade (the cool freshening drink) and a sweet acustic guitarist doing his thing.
Very Portland, much tasty, such music. 9/10
Not a bad place for a quirky Alice in Wonderland feel. The menu is fairly limited and if you can't have dairy or gluten you won't have many options. The way the bathroom is decorated is unique. It was really creepy to me but other people would likely love it.
Delicious coffee drinks and desserts, fun staff. Delightfully creepy old Victorian feel with a sophisticated undertone, given the AMAZINGLY gifted live musicians nightly (Maybe pianist, guitarist, etc.) Front deck to chill on or wait for people.. Free parking. Check out the awesome bathroom upstairs! Date night romance idea or larger group table with a couch. CASH ONLY.
Busy kinda spooky. But like seems to busy to actually learn the lore of the house
Tucked away in a house, this place is very quaint. One of the remaining "old Portland" cafes. Good coffee, and delicious desserts are available, but it is cash only. They often have live music. Really, the big kicker is the atmosphere. Don't leave without a visit to the bathroom.
Unique little hole in the wall place. Has amazing desserts & vintage feel.
This place has much of the charm of visiting your grandparents house. The live pianist is the perfect way to ease into the night with a friend as you sip on your favorite latte. The chocolate raspberry fool is definitely something I recommend anyone who has a sweet tooth to try.
Place with lots of character and great desserts. It has a bit of a funky smell though
They had good service and good offerings. For me, this place is the epitome of Portland, so I would say they do a good job of that. Unfortunately, this particular style is not my cup of tea, but they do deserve higher stars. I lower it only as I thought it was too loud and crammed in there. I agree that is part of the experience though. Good job.
If your looking for an ecentric place to have delicious desserts this place is the place to go. I just love there peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Portland. This whimsical and spooky place can be definitely be 'weird' but lovable at the same time. This place is super cozy. It's a great place to talk for hours. If you are there with a larger groups of people - I recommend sitting on that round table (You'll know why once you sit there :p ).
AMAZING desserts and the place has so much personality! Definitely would recommend and will be going back.
Super cute place, chill vibes and lovely atmosphere. The live music was so peaceful and our waiter was amazing! He made our night great, he was funny, friendly, and casual. The food was nice too, they have lots of choices and a large selection of drinks too at a good price.
Such a fun little corner of Portland. I brought a friend from out of town here because she wanted something low key and “Portlandian” vibes... she LOVED it. The molasses cake is my go to every time and she truly enjoyed the decadent chocolate cake she got. The late hours are great, and the live music is always a fun plus! If you’ve never been, I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Dear Rimsky-Korsakoffee House, sorry for bothering you with my business. Next time we'll chug our lukewarm coffee in 5 minutes instead of 10. Sincerely, your paying customers.
Odd little coffee and dessert house. Live music on the weekends, cash only. Must visit Portland gem. Limited seating so be willing to wait a bit. Always worth it.
This place is a regular go to for me and all the people in my life. There is nothing quite like sitting down for a coffee and pot de creme with stunning live music in the background! I am beyond impressed with the people who staff this establishment each and every time I come. They are efficient and kind and welcoming. I appreciate them so so much!
Kind employees, lovely tea, coffee & desserts. Excentric & fun atmosphere. Great place to catch up with a friend or your love. Hilarious under-sea bathroom.
Desserts are great, never has anything else there. Coffee is good. Ambiance is very eclectic. Would be 5 stars except the seating is VERY squished together.
Deserts are awesome. So is the atmosphere.
Absolutely love the atmosphere of this coffee shop. It's a really great place to grab some coffee or tea or just some dessert after dinner or just for a meet-up with friends.
Decided to do something different for date night. Just came back from this peculiar little coffee/desert house. It was the perfect way to end the night. It's not a place where you come and leave quickly, which I like about it. It's cash only so be prepared for that. The coffee and desert were really good and the atmosphere was lively. Our waiter's dry humour only added to the fun ;)The pianist sounded lovely too. I don't understand some of these negative reviews from some negative nancys.
This is an amazing after dinner spot. So good and a tremendous Portland atmosphere
Incredible eclectic location . Wonderful live classical music most nights. Wonderful coffees and teas and incredible desserts. great staff
Omg the ginger cake was warm with thick whipped cream, so yummmmm. No alcohol. Cool, old house. Cash only.
Cash only is a downside. We went late (9pm), but the cappuccino didn't taste like a $3.50 cappuccino, at least for my taste. The atmosphere is unique, so I'd recommend visiting at least once to see if it's your style. The service was fast and friendly for how busy they were. An upside is that they have soy and hemp milk. A downside is that they only have one vegan option, and it's a dessert, and we couldn't even find it on the menu. We could have ordered it, but we'd rather eat somewhere with more options.
Those Old Portland vibes. I hope this place never goes away. It’s charming, the desserts are tasty, the building is beautiful. Cash only. This place is a breather from all the new condos that new Portland has.
One of my favourite places in town. Good alternative when hanging out with friends, instead of going out drinking. Brownie with ice cream, ask for the brownie warm. Last time I was there they told me the origin story about the tea pot they gave us. Love it.
This is a nostalgia trip for me. Its cash only, and you don't get the best service but I love this place and all of its quirky weirdness.
Excellent late night tea and ginger cake. Bring cash.
This is such a wonderful place! I’ve been going here ever since I was in high school and now my own daughters, who are in high school, enjoy this place too. Thank you for being the quirky, one-of-a-kind, coffee house that flows outside of the box. Continue the legacy for another 50 more years!
Great date spot! Reasonably priced coffee and dessert. Great ambiance, can be very romantic
So fun! Late night dessert - what more can I say!?
Cute date spot. Wonderful to read a book by some music and coffee. Lovely atmosphere. Only cash!
An amazing hidden gem perfect for an after dinner coffee and dessert. If you haven't been there before there's two things you need to know; it's cash only and a trip upstairs to the bathroom is worth it.
A very cool place with delicious drinks and treats! The tea comes with plenty of hot water and the coffee comes however you like it. Fun quirks like a spooky bathroom upstairs and tables that move! Check the guest book for a fun read and leave an entry. This place is really special and I hope it is one thing about Portland that never changes. The staff couldn't be better!
We have been there numerous times with different people -- never disappointed! Don't go there if you are in a hurry. It isn't Dunkin Donuts! Often they have live chamber music. Great place to go with friends after a play to share you experiences. The beverages and desserts are phenomenal
A magical original Portland gem. Unmatched ambience along with unmatched bathroom decor. Great first or last date.
befriend ur server and beware the tables
Great place to sit and relax. Amazing cobbler
Quintessential old school Portland speakeasy cafe and dessert place. It's located within an old Portland Foursquare home decorated in grandma's style with old school wallpaper and cute coffee tables and couches. It's featuring mood lighting and a life piano player several times each week. I see couples on dates, old friends, and family meetings happening here. You'll get more than simply amazing desserts and coffee. You'll get a real Portland experience. Don't miss a visit to the upstairs bathroom. Make sure you bring cash. Credit cards are a thing of the future here.
This place is seriously cool. A bit of a romantic vibe. It also has the eclectic, weird Portland soul. The piano was not being manned so my boyfriend played a little. Bring cash and enjoy the trip to the loo.
Lovely drinks. Tasty dessert. Charming atmosphere. Don't go in the bathroom.
Best desserts in Portland, a must see for visitors
Delicious treats, cozy atmosphere but answer me this: Why does the staff have to be so aggressively rude? We were told by an older woman who seemingly worked there to have a seat, even if the tables were dirty since the lobby was getting packed with teenagers. So, after being pushed and shoved while waiting patiently, we grabbed the first table we could find. When the waiter came to clean up, he passive aggressively mentioned that we were supposed to wait, prompting my partner to repeat what we had been instructed. Moments later, a blonde waitress (that I hadn’t seen before) sporting over-sized transparent glasses and a fowl attitude came to our table with the sole purpose of making an accusation and told us to not lie about her. We sat in silence until the waiter reappeared and my partner calmly recounted what had just happened. The waiter’s response was “whatever man” and I just about lost it. I understand more than anyone how difficult the food service industry is, even more so on a night where the great majority of patrons are under the age of 16. But that does not excuse the entitled and inhospitable behavior we experienced tonight. The place is lovely but I don’t see why I have to pay to get mistreated.
I don't drink coffee. Every time I've visiting Portland, we stop by this place. My best friend LOVES it. She raves on how delicious it is! The smell is very pleasant, and the atmosphere/lay out of coffee place is inviting. A great place to come with friends or by yourself, to get work done.
The atmosphere is really intimate and romantic. We went on a Tuesday evening and were fortunate enough to get to enjoy some live music. It's definitely a "different" experience, with the hours being unusual for a coffee house and the service system being "grab a menu and sit down, we'll find you in a few minutes", but my husband enjoyed his Double Venice and my Mocha Borgio was pretty good, just a little overly artificial where the orange flavor was concerned and I was a little disappointed that they were out all of their teas as well as their cider options. Our server was a little kooky, but that was all part of the experience! (their bathroom upstairs is also pretty dang cool and creative)
You guy have to rim the sky in order to get to the top your coffee is great you should come by fairway coffee sometime and try out some of are coffee
Awesome and creepy all wrapped up in one. Our teenagers Loved it!
A unique and beautiful coffee alternative to bars for the Portland night owl.
Loved the ambiance! Burlesque lighting and live piano tunes under lively conversations. The ginger cake was very delicious. It could serve as the location of a first date night or hanging out with old friends. I love this place!
And old, long-standing coffee house. This is the place that captures the essence of early coffee shops in the area. It is unique and serves great coffee and desserts!
Get the chocolate raspberry fool.
I have the same wait person everytime i come and they are honestly what keeps me coming back. The drinks and snacks are really yummy yes, but the decor and service are next level.
Very unusual place for coffee and desserts.
I might be biased because this was the last stop on an amazing first date. But cool and quirky little place, complete with haunted tables.
One of my favorite cafes in Portland. Just weird enough to be interesting without drawing away from the great coffee and desserts. Always quick service, and introduced me to some great espresso drinks. Seriously integral to any Portland experience.
Very neat place. Serving delicious coffee and dessert. Live piano while I was there. Basically the parlor of a large house set up with neat lighting and fun decor. Also the bathroom is really Cool
Lovely place. Good service. Appreciate the live music.
I was passing through Portland and wanted to take a while to read a book and drink some coffee. I found this place. It has an amazing environment and great drinks. Not the most creative menu I've seen around, but it is a solid menu. The service took a while, but for being short staffed on a busy Monday, I'd say the guy did quite well overall. I'll be stopping in every time I'm on Portland now.
Was wandering SE when I saw an old rural house. It stuck out and I was entranced by it's exceptional beauty. I didn't expect to see an "Open" red and blue neon sign in the window but when I saw it I rushed in! I grew up in an old rural upstate New York home so this 115 year old building is the most I've felt at home since I got here. A coffee and dessert were 8.75. I truly love this cafe.
It's different.... I think that's the nice way to put it. The desserts were good, the problem was mostly the wait staff who, when they could be found, were borderline rude. The place is pretty creepy, which in itself is fine, anyone that's been in Portland long enough knows there's some creepy places around the area, but it was very dusty on the inside. It smelled vaguely like cat litter which was strange. And the menu was horrible. I don't know what the menu writer had against Microsoft word but they need to get over it and type it out. It was a real struggle to decipher.
Oops! The ATM machine at the Plaid Pantry stole your server's tip!
Delicious ice cream and coffee. The acoustics we're a bit loud. It is an interesting, whimsical, fun place, complete with a baffling rotating table.
This is the best spot in Portland. Quirky place with phenomenal desserts and nice live low-key music. Perfect date spot.
In decline. Cash or check only.
Nice candle-and-christmas-lit ambiance, good prices for coffee and dessert (which is all they serve.)
Cute and quirky. Very Portland. Try the ginger cake, it's awesome.
Filthy, smells like musty weed, and dessert was OK at best.
Very fun quirky spot.
Perfect spot to watch my friend's date from (relatively) afar behind a newspaper. Really intimate setting and wide variety of snacks and bevs to keep me occupied for hours
I love this place. Live classical music, excellent tea, simple desserts that the servers plate in cute ways... also a great alternative to drinking at night.
This place is so cool! One of the best places to go when showing someone around Portland. Great desserts and lovely live music
Most definitely a must experience!! Im proud of having this place in our awesome city.
Really cool, old place that seems to go under the radar. I found it while researching ideas for a scavenger hunt. I love the atmosphere and the decor (make sure you visit the restroom, which is upstairs). The menu has all the classic coffees (my soy cappuccino was great) and lots of delicious-sounding desserts (I can't eat dairy or cane sugar, so I can't speak to the quality). The place is cash only. The hours are late for a cafe (7pm to 12:30 or 1am), which is nice. My only complaint is that about 10 minutes before closing time, one of the staff members started very loudly folding and moving chairs). I get it. When a place has such late hours, the staff are ready to go at closing time. But it does make a place less welcoming to have dragging and banging of chairs subtly tell you that it's almost time to go. There is also live music at times (piano). I got there too late to comment on it (it was over by the time I arrived).
Excruciatingly slow service. Useless hipster waiter didn't give us water until our order came out. I was so thirsty... and then the water was in a glass the size of those brewery tasting glasses. I drank it like a shot, and never got any more water. Nice ambiance, the menu is simple and kinda typical for these kinds of things. Great place if you have lots of time. Bad place if you happen to be thirsty. I went through nine rings of cotton mouth hell. The waiters' self-satisfied attitude just made me want to throw him into that delightful fireplace.
Kooky, weird, fun place. Totally tucked away, with great coffee and treats. Cash only!
A delightfully weird Portland cafe. They have surprises around every corner and delicious dessert.
Great coffee, tea, desserts. Really love the atmosphere of this place. Docked 1 star because the service is always painfully slow.
The most interesting coffee house i have ever visited.
Got surprised by some of the hijinks here, but the desserts were sublime!
Had to wait an hour to get our order taken. Way too crowded.
Fun place! The desserts were yummy, loved my affogato, the music was good and the company great! Lots of people and very crowded, but our group got there early right when they opened so we got a table right away.
A very unusual place to grab a dessert! Totally worth it!
Great food, wonderful service and atmosphere... Just a lovely little Oasis where there's always something new to see. Mellow and soothing. Would go again
They never disappoint!!❤️
Super awesome. They have live music on tusedays and fridays. Their warm ginger cake is amazing and I love all the servers
Fun fun fun! Good coffee great environment and totally delicious desserts! I would recommend this to everybody!
Such an adorable little spot with great drinks & dessert!
Trans-woman I know was harassed and misgendered here. Management threw her out and refused to acknowledge the incident. Plenty of other quirky places in Portland where the risk of being cheek to jowel with transphobes who know the business will back them up.
A Portland staple! In addition to their delicious desserts, this place is all about atmosphere. There are misbehaving tables, delightful staff, and an evening at Rimsky’s is not complete without a journey to their...interesting bathroom. Ship Goes To Pieces Against a Rock is a personal favorite
Lovely little dessert cafe with live music on weekends. Be prepared to wait in line since it's small and people take their time soaking up the desserts and ambiance. Cash only. Pop in for a quick snack and then get the heck out so they can keep enough turnover to to stay in business cause I will freak out if they don't stick around!
The lights are deemed so be prepared it is cash or check ONLY they have the cutest tea pots and great desert. The bathroom is a must go to it’s entertaining but they should buy air fresheners at dollar tree it always smells bad.
Usually busy. Of course-ka-uffee!
First time to Portland and the waitress was very helpful and engaging. Awesome atmosphere and I loved the music they play. You can feel the history in this house and it makes the experience for sure.
Being here was like taking a mild acid trip with your cool aunt: classy, quirky, and real weird in a great way. Menu consists of coffee, tea, and dessert, each of which were delectable. Service was friendly but slow, which could be fine for a casual night out, and give you time to enjoy the atmosphere and decor. Be sure to use the restroom and ground yourself before you leave.
My fav little tea house in the whole world. Weird, just like portland, but so comfy and a great place to make late-night memories with your pals. Bring a big group so you can sit at the special table ;)
Just discovered last night when searching for Portland unusual. Converted Victorian dark and cozy and off kilter. Live music. Entertaining wait staff. Really good desserts.
Queer folx beware. My friend was being harassed by two bros for being trans and a waitress not only failed to intervene, but actually escalated the harassment. My friend had to leave after objecting while the hostile bros were allowed to stay. Keep yourselves safe and avoid this place.
Nice place. Warm, but not uncomfortable. Some people have pretty hand-fans. Most people dressed nicely; ladies in summer dresses, gentlemen in polo shirts and leisure wear. Lots of chatting with friends, about themselves, mostly. Not eavesdropping, just tables close together and loud voices to be heard above the dining-room tunes from the old baby grand in the corner. Couples, ice cream desserts and, bless me, affogato. Have a feeling this is a place to say you have been to and to be seen.in. I like it because it is open at night, very few pleasant places are open at night. Small and dim, just a few tables.
Meal almost inturrupted by some group of kids last week that were arguing with the other customers and their server. The kids were removed when they called the manager on some other guests. Good experience and handling of a situation that otherwise would have ruined the whole night.
Portland funky but interestingly haunted with good cheer. Great Sunday!
Love this place- you will too! The desserts, atmosphere and live music are worth waiting for on the busiest of nights. It’s also fun to arrive just at opening. Enjoy!
Very unique, definitely recommend! Great for when you don't know what to do with your friends at midnight
Place: Interesting place and decoration. The bathroom deserves a visit, if you can find it. Nice live piano. The waiter was great and used food puns whenever possible. Menu: The hot chocolate was delicious and the hot fudge brown sundae was pretty good too (ingredients well banaced and good proportion, although the brownie was quite hard). I didn't like the raspberry fool, which is their famous dessert. The mix of everything was decent, but there was too much unsweetened heavy whipping cream and too bitter chocolate (which was decent with the raspberries but you ran out of them). Pictures: I couldn't find much info on the menu or what the pictures correspond to, so attached there is the sundae, the hot chocolate and the menu. Hope that helps. Beware: Cash only!
Cool, spooky atmosphere. Good coffee, friendly staff and wonderful live classical music.
Adorable, great coffee and deserts, one of my favorite Portland spots
Great little place -- super affordable and cute. Cash only, so watch out for that. We got the raspberry fool and the ginger cake, both were great. Desserts run around $6.50.
Ambience is a bit different from a regular coffee shop. Deserets are good but filled with lot of Whipping Cream instead of actual Ice Cream. Will try coffee on my next visit.
Love the vibe here. The ginger cake was insanely good. Recommend checking out the bathroom upstairs.
Cute dessert place-hasn't change since the early 90s, and probably even before! Well actually the service has improved. Love the Chocolate raspberry Fool. Classical pianist on the weekends
Black-as-starless-night coffee tasted like the beans were burned in effigy and then filtered through a dirty ashtray, but somehow that added to the charm? Great desserts, great music, great vibe: worth regular visitations.
Judging from the cup, you can guess this place is for only the coolest of cats. I come here everytime I visit and am always satisfied with the cozy atmosphere, the pleasant staff, and the set provided - along with other menu options such as dessert. Great spot for dates, or just to get a cup of something to drink and catch up with a friend!
A fun place to bring out of towners. Your definitely come to the quirky ambiance. We sat at the only available table (which apparently was for 5, not 4) after being ignored for a bit we were asked to move to another table (that honestly was more appropriate for a party of 2). One of our guests has a dairy allergy and being that this restaurant is located in probably the most granola part of Portland, you'd think they'd have some decent options for dairy/vegan/gluten allergies. But they still have the same menu from about 15 years ago. The food is okay. There are much better dessert options in the area for foodies that will happily accommodate but this place specializes in the funky/ somewhat strange atmosphere.
What a great date spot. They had live piano music in a very cozy low-lit atmosphere. The food was excellent. I had a super cider and a brownie sundae. The waiter was funny and attentive. The mannequin in the bathroom startled me but I liked the humor.
I love this place! It's very whimsical and great for a night out with friends! They've got a lot of delicious desserts and drinks! Their cakes are amazing! As for drinks, I especially love their steamers, they pair great with any dessert you might eat! This place is better for smaller group. The staff is nice and there isn't usually a terrible wait.
Best banana split ever
Very unique and cool spot. Friendly service and crazy awesome decor/ambience.
There is a good spirit here.
The ambience and setup is by far the best I have been too. Quaint and peaceful. Live music was amazing too. One could sit for hours over here.
Service is horrible!! Coffee and dessert delicious. Hard to find and building run down but to be expected for a haunted coffee house
One of my favorite spots in town for late-night deserts or warm drinks. Atmosphere is great, even on the weekends when it can get pretty busy. I go here at least once a month! There is a decent selection of deserts and drinks, not too much to make it confusing. If you like coffee, deserts and late night spooky vibes you will love this place!
Cool place. Service was a little slow and the menu is horribly written... but it's a cool little niche place. Good atmosphere for hanging out for a long time with someone, good spot for a date, conversations etc. Nice live music too. They have good desert, coffee and tea.
Funny staff and amazing food
Amazing service, delicious coffee and dessert, and a wonderful environment. This is definitely a staple of Portland, and Lisa is the best hostess w the mostest. She took great care of us!
Creepy, but fun. Creepy in the sense of decor... fun in the sense if decor. Go Zags
Quirky Portland landmark. Great date spot, live music
Great funky atmosphere.. Which is the draw here.. Great teas..
Their decorations are strange and delightful. I don't drink coffee, but their snacks and desserts were excellent.
This is my favorite dessert place! I love the atmosphere and it's a great place to bring people from out of town. I love the live music (I was lucky enough to hear some bangin' Yann Tiersen covers and when it's not crowded it's so perfect and romantic!!!) The staff are amazing and so SO patient and funny, I've never seen a place quite as charming as this. I absolutely do NOT recommend kids come here, but well-behaved teens would really appreciate it. Maybe go to the restroom... Before you come for dessert... Because the bathroom is a bit different from the rest of the cafe! No matter what, I'll be coming here for date night until they physically block me from entering the building and giving them my money! Also: My MiLs BFF passed away a few years ago, and she was quite fond of this place. We have some incredible happy memories here! We miss you, Carol! And we think of you whenever we get sundaes!
Really bad service, we were waiting for our server to come take our order for about 20 minutes even though it wasn’t busy.
This place is a staple for my friends and I. It is cash only. If you’re looking for something unique to do, I would highly recommend stopping by Rimsky for a pot of tea and an ice cream sundae. Such a memorable place!
coolest atmosphere ever, probably the best date spot imaginable!
An Unfortunate Disappointment. My partner was exceptionally excited to share this cute European style cafe with me. The aesthetic of the cozy cafe house was very lovely and well thought out. The instrumental classical guitarist’s notes danced around overcrowded tables and the through cacophony of voices. The waiting area was crowded and the establishment seemed to have been bombarded with teens enjoying their Christmas break. Amidst the chaos was what appeared to be an employee cutting her way though the ever growing crowd and she said something that was interpreted by my partner as instructions to sit at the tables even if they are messy. We patiently waited our turn as the crowd waiting shoved from behind until a table became available. The waiter shuffled towards us with an air of agitation and was vocally unhappy that we had sat at the table before it was cleared. I was perhaps too blunt when I told him that we had been told to sit at the tables even if they were messy and he met my statement with a sassy “oh really?”. It was about 5 mins later a woman with blond hair stormed out of a back room and yelled at me that she did not tell us to do that and then stormed away. My partner was utterly let down and before leaving I told the waiter I thought he was very rude, that the woman who yelled at us was not the person who told us we could sit at a messy table, and that I questioned the integrity of this establishment. Truth be told I wanted to be more mean but felt bad for how overwhelmed the bespectacled waiter must have been. The waiter said “Whatever man.” and walked away. bottom line: unprofessional, over crowded, long wait, never got served, was yelled at.
The kind of place you go to and get inspired. Food is top notch. Coffee is great. Decor is perfect. It's always a good experience to visit this place.
Super cool, unique and weird decorations all around. Super friendly staff. Good place for a date! Bring cash, not card.
Loved this place. The ginger spice cake was one of the best desserts I have ever had. The atmosphere is fantastic. The hot chocolate was awesome as well. Just remember your cash!
This cute cafe has an inviting warm atmosphere, great desserts, and live music! A pleasant place to visit on a cold night.
This place is awesome. The Ginger cake is incredible. Coffee is super yummy too.
All I can say is WOW!!! If you're looking for a place to go out on a nice date, propose, or just go out with the gals/pals, then this is the place! Rimsky has Devine desserts, coffees, and teas that are all homemade and delicious. The interior of restaurant is inviting, as well as the outside. I also highly recommend checking out the restroom, it's fun and different.
Very nice vibe, and friendly service. Amazing tasting deserts and coffee. Great place for both friendly encounters and romantic dates. Nice fitting music as-well.
Quirky but authentic. Great for dessert and coffe. Tip the musicians
Nice, but busy staff. The house has a smell. Tea was very good. Bathroom was interesting.
Google maps is showing Rimsky's as closed - not true. it is still open.
Very cute little coffee/tea house in an old haunted building. Lots of desserts too
The staff, especially Lisa, is warm, welcoming ....and full of life and great suggestions. Tea is served in individual, unique maybe even antique pots and I saw other customers state that they had "that same pot" earlier ...and were hopeful to get it again! Super cute, warm and friendly. The desserts are wonderful! We had ginger cake that was warm and delicious with home made cream ....and a brownie sundae that was plentiful enough to share and also very yummy! Thanks for the best night in Portland, Lisa! We'll be back!
