DESCRIPTION

Here you will be able to see the information of people who buy the products and services of Commonplace Books (Coffee Shop) near Oklahoma.

Now the firm has a score of 4.7 stars over 5 and the score has been based on 286 reviews.

You may have noticed that the average of ratings is basically the best, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the business, it works.

As you know, we don't usually bother to place scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

REVIEWS OF Commonplace Books IN Oklahoma

Alphonso Shurabi

Very cool concept, very fun interior, and cool deli or whatever down the hall. As far as actual books go, unless you’re looking for a coffee table book, you’re not likely to ever make a purchase here, as they’re full priced, and the only sales they had seemed to be a cart out front with weathered books on it. It seems like more of a hangout spot than an actual bookstore or place that cares about books, otherwise they’d have used section or more competitive prices.

Chip May

Great Bookstore. Very inviting. Very Quiet. Buy a book then enjoy reading it there with a cup of coffee.

Max Love

Great atmosphere, excellent service

Chris Faulconer

Amazing food. Chef Chris Castro is truly a culinary artist. So much love and thought put into every detail. Great place!

Brenda Walker

Placed an order, received it quicker than Amazon and postal service and very affordable

Aanahita Irani

It was a very chill environment. They had a variety of books, ones that I would typically have to dig to find. I definitely plan to go back.

Amanda Moore

Wonderfully curated collection! Absolutely beautiful and relaxing space. Every detail im design is beautiful. The stoneware that everything in the Kitchen is served on, is absolutely gorgeous. The hummus plate (served after 5pm, I believe) is absolutely delicious. Always a variety of fresh and pickled produce, delicious bread, and perfectly seasoned hummus. Enough for two to share, easy. The sweet pup that is always here, is a calm, relaxing presence.

Nicholas Gilliland

Best bookstore with a dog I've been to.

Love this place

Lisa Breshears

First time to visit here. I love this bookstore, a feel of being right in my living room, nothing like the big name bookstores. Very geuine!

Michelle M

This store has an interesting collection of books. The atmosphere is very laid back and chill. There is seating inside and out and a small café. There is also a huge, fluffy dog that I got to pet. He is so adorable!

Frank Mendoza

Awesome atmosphere. With a surprisingly evolving menu.

Robert Alexander

I paid $15 for “salmon and avocado on greens”, that comes with almost no salmon or avocado! What a scam!

Cecy M

Relaxing and fun space. Everyone is very friendly, and so is the sweet pup!

David Beavers

Selection isn't the biggest but the place is super cozy. The on site pupper is amazing.

Andy Fritsch

Owner is great to talk to. The space is very inviting and the books are beautifully displayed. Great place to spend time in OKC.

Ava Gates

The bookstore always has a really cute curated selection and the coffee shop next door is my favourite morning drink stop.

Drew Noecker

A great selection of books, and wonderful events for little ones. The shop dog is a great touch too. There are also many great new books that are selected by the staff that would be hard to find otherwise. Go for the recommendations! We have gotten “Dragon was Terrible” and “Ava’s Spectacular Spectacles” on the recommendation of the owner, and both turned out to be really good for our son.

leon moore

Mine's bookstore a little small but you can have parties there and stuff

Patsy Ryan

Very Good Eclectic Modern Bookstore With a coffee shop/small Cafe attached. Friendly, helpful staff.

The best book store concepts in our city

Leah Palmer

I'm always so impressed by and grateful for this little spot in OKC. The method for suggesting books has been so keenly developed, giving even the uncertain shopper a natural confidence in perusing any section. Ben & Boz are incredibly welcoming and making sitting and staying a while such a treat.

Charles Molleur

Wish Boz could still be around. Good people. Storytime is a great thing on Saturday.

Jake Morgan

Tasty chill spot

Jenn Clore

I love the feel of a small neighborhood book store. Although the selection is limited from what you'd find at a chain bookstore, you won't get the same experience. It feels as though each book in the store was hand-picked by someone you'd want to be friends with. The huge fluffy dog is also a big plus.

Zoey K

Short version: Aesthetically pleasing and aiming to broaden your literary and intellectual horizons. Excellent for perusing a curious collection. Long version: I have visited Commonplace Books multiple times since moving to OKC a couple a year and a half ago. The bookstore itself is open and welcoming with natural lighting, seating, and a good number of tables which display book covers to grab your attention. You could certainly pop in and pop out with a great book, but you would likely be missing out on hidden gems. If you want a Barnes & Noble-esque warehouse of every book or cheap wholesale items from Amazon, well, then you know where to look, and it's not Commonplace. Commonplace encourages you to slow down, open a book, read, talk to other patrons and staffers about the books and the ideas they contain. If all of that wasn't enough to at least pique your interest, then I have one story to tell. I am a public school teacher through OKCPS, and as part of our "Rewards of Honor" gift card, we received $10 from Commonplace. Our gift card expires at the end of January, so even though this month is tight (post-holidays, no extra Saturday school pay to help pad the paycheck for another month, plus grad school tuition was due), I figured I would get a book or two to celebrate reading. After much hemming and hawing (and some unsuccessful searches aided by a friendly staffer), I picked two books and took them to the register. I apprehensively watched as the books were taken, open, stamped, and then rung up, as I had considered returning one of them depending on the total cost. Noticing my anxiety, I was kindly given the offer to return one of the books, no worries about the stamp. I insisted I get the books; they are important, reading is important, and supporting local bookstores is important. However, to my utter surprise and gratitude, the person ringing me up declared he would "meet me in the middle," canceled one of the books from the register, and handed both books to me. Thank you, Ben, for your kindness and generosity. I later heard that you and your co-owners donated a class set of Holes for another teacher. I will definitely tell others to support this place, as they are putting actions behind their words in supporting community.

Rebecca Romine

Great books to introduce difficult subject matter to children.

Jessica Howe

This place is lovely! The decor is beautiful and the book selection is great. I got a matcha latte that was amazing. You won’t retreat a visit here.

Cassi Poor

Quant, cozy little bookstore with a great selection of books and friendly staff.

Bobby King

Great. Very good. Food. And book selection

Nancy Hirsch

Very nice bookstore and we ate at the adjacent restaurant which was really good.

Eddie Craig Monarch

Very kind

Stephanie O'Connell

Loved this bookstore! A really amazing selection of books and really hospitable and helpful staff. There is even a bookstore dog who is super sweet. The books are arranged by attributes of how you see yourself as a reader which is really unique and fun and helps with discovering new books!

Bobbie Franklin

Come here for something fresh in the way of local bookstore finds and food digs. Their hummus plate is my favorite in town and is big enough to satisfy two people. Dining here for dinner is a unique experience. They usually do a live-reading from a selected work and invite guests to meet and greet one another. The time we went for dinner the chef was absent, but the owner went out of his way to make up for it. Breakfast or lunch options are yummy. Maybe on the little more pricy side, all things considered. However, you'll feel good about supporting a local business that gives back to the community and values Oklahoma City.

Cal Serven

Best bookstore in the world

Shane Berrett

So... my daughter absolutely loves this place. We could spend hours in here. Neat shop, friendly owner, and super chill dog.

Brennan Will

Books here are very expensive. Nearly every book is hardback. Lots of interesting titles, just wasn't worth the price to me. 3 books cost me over $60

John Wojciechowski

Perfect little bookstore. Visually stunning. Helpful, informative staff. Bookstore dog :)

Peter Treagesser

Amazing atmosphere, very posh, I’ve heard the house hibiscus tea is good, and I’ve heard good things about the food. Just a great place to pick up on some new literature and relax & enjoy downtown OKC.

Jacob Allenwood

Amazing store! Cool book collection, great location, awesome dog, delicious smelling candle and they sell Brandywine coffee which is great! Haven't eaten here yet but if it's anything like everything else about the place, it's gonna be amazing!

Caitlin Gerardy

It's a cute little place and I really enjoyed stopping in there! It's not a very big book store so there is not too much of a selection if you are looking for something specific. But what they did have was pretty interesting :)

Trent England

What a great local book shop! When we were there, they were full of kids for a story time. But the place is so open and full of natural light that it was easy to browse and chat. So glad this is a part of our community!

Andrew Boes

I had passed by several times and I thought this place might be a little too... scholarly? hip? intimidating? I'm not sure, but as soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was so welcoming that all I could think about was hanging out all afternoon. Maybe next time I shouldn't judge a book by its... you know what never mind that one. The music was pleasant and not too stuffy, the furniture was nice, but not so nice that you're afraid to sit in it. One of the owners was there and he did a great job of engaging me when I came in but also let me explore and ask questions at my leisure. The whole experience was warm and inviting, and I haven't even mentioned the books yet! First stop and maybe the most impressive part for me was the children's area: big, breathtaking, imaginative books of all kinds. Around the corner was a quaint little secluded area lined with bookshelves and beautiful mural with a hearty table and chairs at its center. There is also a cozy little parlor area with a gorgeous emerald sofa and strappy leather chairs that I thought looked weird but ended up being extremely comfortable. I could have sat there all day, reading while petting the enormous shop dog. The organization is a little different too: the sections are organized by types of people instead of types of books. It was something I hadn't experienced before and it made for an inspiring bookstore visit. Good job!

Kennedie Milligan

This is the best place on earth. If I could move into this bookstore, I would. Great atmosphere, amazing book selection, and a very friendly dog! I cannot recommend it enough.

Andrea Fillmore

Commonplace is really good at making you slow down and just be in the moment. When you walk in, everything from the music, the scent, and the atmosphere help you to calm down, relax, and connect with the books and food and people. A perfect place to unwind and imagine!

Z Davis Robison

A curated selection of books that always has me finding gems I can't live without.

Christina Jett

I love the Kitchen at Commonplace Books!! It is one of the first places I found when I moved here in October of this past year. As someone who follows a pretty healthy diet - I find this food to be a PERFECT balance of simplicity and quality. The hummus plate with the pickled veggies is delish. Ian usually is the one to make my Matcha latte with house made almond milk and he’s always so personable and kind. Chris even remembered me from one visit during a stressful time after my Father-in-law became very ill AND even sent me off to the hospital with a piece of banana bread for him.It just doesn’t get much better than this for customer service and attention to quality of ingredients. I can’t say enough positive things. ❤️❤️❤️

Megan Harris

Beautiful space with beautiful food.

Sheri Westover

Innovative menu offerings! Call for daily offerings.

Nina Thomas

Not a big selection of books.

deucedjm2307

Loved the look and feel of this place, had something for all ages!

Huda Mussa

A lovely addition to midtown

Mauree Turner

Egg & Avocado Toast with House Hibiscus Tea. Pretty good food, great atmosphere. There is a dog - so if you are afraid of dogs, or someone you are with is, be aware of that. It is a very calm dog. Kinda small, family style seating. Pickled onions are great!

Gary Siebert

I really liked it, but it has a limited selection and full retail prices. I did browse several unique volumes but only purchased a paperback of short stories by George Saunders. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you like small and quirky, this is a nice stop.

Garrett Swank

Great business love the layed back vibe and their are some really interesting books, very limited selection tho, probably don't go here if you have a specific book in mind unless you know they have it, also no books from theist authors that I could find.

Kathryn Ross

Commonplace is small but beautifully curated. Libraries are my go-to for most books but i walked out with some purchases.

Susan B

Love this place and WE LOVE STORY TIME. My kids love the poufs, the fun stories, the dog and the interpersonal skills they teach (looking others in the eye and saying "I'm glad you're here!"). It's a fun Saturday tradition. Also the bathroom has the best wallpaper I have ever seen!!

Mia Z

Very cozy

Derek Collier

Seriously cool space in Midtown. The staff really treats you like family, and Boz just helps seal the deal. Thanks for sharing your store with the city!

Ryan Berry

Amazing place. Great selection, friendly/knowledgeable people, and just a cool place to hang out. Also love supporting a local, independent bookstore.

Anatolii Soloshonok

Great espresso and they have a

There's a doggo!!!!

Robert Reed

I have a beast dimension of fun at Commonplace Books and Kitchen. I genuinely love books that is the reason book shops truly interest me. Was not perplexed that I visited Commonplace Books and Kitchen. There are packs of books to look at here at Commonplace Books and Kitchen. An epic dimension of designs also. Despite the way that the book that I was looking was not there, the proprietor said they will interface with me at whatever point the book arrive so that was empowering. The place was stunning. Not extremely odious and satisfying if I may state. The books were brilliantly made by sort that is the reason its not difficult to take a gander at for a book to get some data about. The staffs were careful and welcoming. I really respect that they offered to call me if the book I was hunting down after down arrived. They really care for their customers. Will come back to Commonplace Books and Kitchen once the book I look at for arrived. Or of course unmistakably maybe if I have discharging up time to check for another book. Astoundingly proposed.

Daniel McLoud

Commonplace Books is a place for books and people, but the real focus is on the people! One of the great additions to the Midtown Neighborhood and can say it's definitely worth a stop in every time you're passing by.

isaac bednarz

Really cool little bookstore, great place to find new books. Lots of great art and photography books.

Nathan Koffler

This is definitely a cool book store and has some great seating areas. The selection is very limited which is not what I was expecting. Other reviewers have mentioned the prices being high and the owner does explain that publishers put those prices on the books. I understand all of that but they don't really even have the cheaper paperback versions of most of the books. For example, there's a book I've seen a lot lately around the internet that has been in paperback for a while now and I saw it here and would have absolutely bought it but they only have the hard cover version of it, which is very expensive because of the publisher's price. I understand the publisher's price isn't the bookstore's fault but I would like an option to buy the cheaper paperback version of the books here. I then found that paperback version of the book at another book store lately that day and bought it for half the price. It seems like this bookstore is for people who want to buy full price books that are part of a niche category. I'm glad that they offer that for those who want that for sure. The experience of the store is great though. It feels like walking into a place to hang out for othro book lovers. Also, the staff are very friendly as well.

Christine E

Unique and comfortable. I could easily spend hours here just enjoying the atmosphere.

Nathan McBroom

What a wonderful local book store! Very friendly owner. Clean, bright shop with a comfortable atmosphere. Lots of great kids books as well as interesting finds for adults. We bought several books on our first visit.

Hayley Bentley

We absolutely love Commonplace. Chris Castro in the kitchen comes up with amazing dishes every single day that will wow you and keep you coming back. Everyone in the bookstore is so helpful and can recommend anything you might be interested in. Would highly recommend!

Tyler Todd

I love this book store and the chill vibe it has going on

Rebekah Fisher

Lezlie Christian

Beautiful store. Many enticing titles. Owner interesting if a bit salty. ;)

Stuart Clark

Tyler Cating

Amazing bookstore with the friendliness dog! Beautifully designed and with a wide selection of books for all ages.

Jody Crownover

Nice little book store, seems very laid-back. I especially like the big white doggo they have laying around, he seems to be very nice and relaxed.

Annessa Parker

It's a nice bookstore, just not my "cup of tea".

Oreotitan foryfive

Such an important place. If you are in the area it is crucial to come here. This place makes an effort to build a community more than it does anything else. The staff is helpful and friendly and genuinely care for each person that comes through their doors. Every book I've bought from here has been next to life changing, because their selection is impeccably curated. And the food is absolutely delicious. The system that they have in place is so unique and so special and will make you feel like you are part of a wonderful hospitable community.

Lauren

Great book store with some fabulously basic chicken salad! I'll be back soon for the salmon lunch because they treat their food like little works of art. Looking at their menu I never expected to enjoy it but I loved it!

Jeff Taylor

Super nice book shop. Great selection of books across literature and non-fiction.

Janell Cotten

Awesome book store

Kamree Sutter

Definitely one of my favorite places in Midtown. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to help. I love the selection of cookbooks. Worth a trip in if you're passing by.

Allison Taite

It's beautiful, serene and inviting. I love their social justice section!

Natalie Gottlieb

We stumbled into this little gem by accident, and I'm so glad we did. The owner knows all the books very well and has very intentionally curated them. All of the books were interesting, aesthetically beautiful, and I'm willing to bet very thought provoking. The children's books are all unusual, perfect for a shower where you know everyone is bringing Rainbow Fish, and all of the artwork is exquisite. We could have easily spent all day in this hidden wonderland, because the place was airy and welcoming and everyone who worked there was so knowledgeable and friendly.

Allen Peters

I love this space. They have a fantastic selection and community-minded staff.

Annette Lauzon

Great little book store and place to hang out. Very good customer service and they even have a little bar where you can have a drink or cup of coffee well shopping.

Daniel Snyder

Loved the selection of books! The coffee and atmosphere was fantastic! Be sure to say hi to Boz for me, he such an awsome dog that greets you at the door!

John

Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food or even what they serve. As far as a bookstore, it's extremely small and only new books. Wasn't for me at all. I try not to knock a bookstore, but this was more of a hip hang-out with a dash of bookstore on the side....almost an afterthought: look we've got some shelves, let's put new books on them. Hope it does well and I wish it the best. Edit 10-18-2018: I appreciate the owner taking time to respond. I've read some other reviews about Commonplace and would like to clarify mine a bit. I'm not from the OKC area and have no idea how much this place impacts the community as is implied by at least one review I looked at. I don't want to project a poor review about a business that I browsed in for 10 minutes and didn't even walk to the other side to see the cafe part. To offset things a bit let me add that the place was clean, very nicely done, and would indeed be a great spot to hang out. The general look/feel I want in a bookstore is not what this one is, but I don't want to take away from the good vibe Commonplace promotes. It was open and pleasant and absolutely worth visiting.

Steven Giblet

7 stars. Better than great! Food and atmosphere are top notch!

Casey Kleeb

The cutest, well-designed store. Definitely stop if you enjoy beautiful, fun books. And the shop dog was so sweet!

Katherine Stone Fedor

What a unique experience! A beautiful bookstore filled with hand-curated, intriguing books in a relaxed, peaceful, clean, and friendly atmosphere. There's a quiet, friendly dog that lives among the books, sweet. Then dinner! Family style, at 7pm, no choices to make, they just serve you a creative appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert ... So you have to be ready for adventure and open to trying new things. There's a short, thought-provoking reading to you as a group before the main course. You're invited to interact with people around you and care for them. We had delicious fresh hummus with various things to dip, a cauliflower & chicken tikka, and a fabulous pot de crème with maple syrup. So fresh, original, genuine, and wholesome.

Catonya Cosper

Love there coffee

Terry Gabler

Love the bookstore atmosphere. Great place to have coffee and conversations there.

Zahra Hajiaghamohseni

This establishment allows dogs inside against state health code. Even after brought to their attention that one of the wait staff was petting dog and then handling customer food without washing hands. Regardless of food, I question the cleanliness of the food handling practices if they allow such an obvious violation to occur.

Gordon

This is not your Barnes & Noble store but they'll get whatever you need if they don't have it friendly staff in a great store

Joel Hacker

One of the worst organized bookstores (new, used, corporate, or independent) I have every been in. There is no discernible organizational structure their selection. There are a few vague thematic titles to sections (other than children's), like 'Spirituality' or 'Adventure', but within those sections there doesn't seem to be a distinction based on non-fiction/fiction, genre, or alpha by author or title. Having worked in several libraries, I was equally unable to discern if they were using a library classification system, unless it was some sort of custom analytico-synthetic system. Its clearly a curated collection, as staff I overheard seemed to know what they were out of at a glance, but in terms of browse-ability by customers, the books might as well be in a large pile with a question mark over it. Other than the children's section (which was surprisingly fantastic), the collection as a whole seems to be very heavily weighted towards non-fiction books trending on NPR and various current top seller lists. It was so frustrating to find a part of the store that made enough sense to browse, that I left without using a gift certificate. There was also so much essential oil in the air that was pretty abrasive to both eyes and nose. There were a lot of people on various electronic devices, many of whom seemed to know one another, hanging around. Combined with the trendy nature of the collection, this makes me feel like it is more of a hangout for those living in the drastically overpriced integrated housing gentrifying this area that this location is a part of, and not necessarily intended to attract many book shoppers outside this demographic. Its a shame because the facility itself looks nice, though there is a bit of wasted space where they could have fit in more inventory (back in the weird space by the restrooms, or with less forward facing only displays). And they have a lovely and friendly pup there. They would've done better to look at some other successful indie booksellers in the state like Magic City books and try to organize themselves similarly.

Shannon Monson

Fun bookshop with a lot of interesting, different books. The owner was super nice. They place was very clean and comfortable. We loved the vintage MCM furniture! Will visit again the next time we are in OKC!

Colin Bradley

Friendly helpful staff. Eclectic mix of books many nicely laid out on tables. Easy to browse No pressure from staff. A pleasant shop to visit

Kaitlyn

I love this place! Lovely atmosphere through out the day. Went in for the family style dinner with a friend and has a blast. Talked with new people, the owner, chef, and rest of staff were very engaged with the crowd. Had a spicy soup with pork and other goodies in there (yum)! It is set up to where you get an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Check out this place for books, coffee, and lunch during the day, dinner in the evening!

Kylie Wood

My favorite after school snack! Never disappoints.

BrieAnn Lund Johnson

Lovely atmosphere, thoughtfully curated, and one of my top five favorite bookstores I've ever been to. And that's just me! My two daughters also love spending time here.

Julia Ehrhardt

I’m glad ths store is here, as I buy books and when I have money left over I buy food!I am allergic to dogs, though, and so can’t spend as much time or money as I’d like at this establishment.

Tanner Luther

A very aesthetically pleasing and well-organized local bookstore. Sure to be one of my favorites. The owner is so kind and knowledgeable on many of the books she has stocked. Will be sure to be back.

Jessica Bunker

We love this place. Great atmosphere and really fun story time every Saturday at 10:30.

katy swyden

Love this bookstore. We recently tried the adjacent cafe and enjoyed the food as well. The hummus was delicious! I was very disappointed, however, that the bathroom was not equipped to change a baby. For a business that seems to be family friendly, there was no changing table and I had to change my baby's diaper on his pad on the floor of the bathroom.

Jennifer Postlethwaite

The food and the whole experience is amazing.

Rob Burgess

Nice space, beautiful cafe area. I was disappointed that I couldn't find in the poetry section Oklahoma poets, i.e. Nathan Brown, Benjamin Myers, Ron Wallace, ect.

Kacee Rachels

Great selection of beautiful books. Also love the kids' section, and the friendly dog!

Chandra Roush

Looks like a great place

Amanda Carr

It is a bright and lovely shop, with books for anyone to look through. They do have a more limited stock, but it was still very much enjoyable.

Sam Schieren

Small, but great book selection and cool layout.

Diego Peñafiel

Great book selection, friendly staff. Clean and very organized

Robert Rosser

Love the food and atmosphere. GO HERE!!! Call and ask about dinner options. Always delicious and unique!

Reg Lopez

Was visiting family in OKC and we came across this lovely oasis great coffe really good food, and an amazing selection of books plus had a great conversation with, the owner music was outstanding!

Abe Haynes

What a wonderfully curated collection of books for sale.

Thomas Bowman

I went here for a reading event that was hosted by my university professor. During the event, I was browsing my phone, looking at rifles. An employee took it as their responsibility to call my school and tell the administration that I was scary and dangerous. They took photos and videos of me, completely invading my privacy. Not cool. To actually review the place, I'd like to say the interior design is on point. The books are displayed in a very aesthetically pleasing manner; although the selection is quite small and the selection boring at best, repugnant at worst. They have a kitchen but I didn't order anything. Beer is >$8. Generally speaking I'm the type of person to almost blindly support local companies over national corporations, however, Barnes and Noble has a far greater selection with greater ideological and topical diversity. Many of those also have a Starbucks which somehow managed to be cheaper than this places kitchen.

Megan Clifford

Awesome place! I came here to look for a book to announce my pregnancy to my husband and the owner helped me find a great book on parenting. He also gave me for free his favorite parenting book, so sweet! Now of course my plan failed because my husband didn't notice the parenting books on his nightstand and take a hint, but Commonplace nailed it! Added bonus, their dog is awesome!

Billy Parker

Nice and cozy.

Anna McBroom

Love this place! Great addition to the community

Emilia Hart

This sweet little space has such a great vibe. The selection in the book store is excellent, and the food in the kitchen was incredible.

Jonathan Brittingham

Very nice little bookstore in the Midtown area that is within walking distance to some good eating establishments. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Dave Rhea

Went to their first wine pairing event. It was great!!

Stan Martin

Great books with great friends and coffee too.

Isaac Gilbert

Common place books has a fantastic selection for all genres. The kids section has books that will really provoke the childing reading them to dig a lot deeper into topics that faced and are facing humanity. Great atmosphere and even greater staff.

Travis Walsh

Best book store I've ever been in!!

Tyler Jones

Great atmosphere with an equally great and beautiful selection. The store itself seems like it was crafted with love and they bring this attitude to their customers too. The store owners found out my wife and I stopped in to browse on our wedding anniversary and gave us a bottle of champagne!!!

Evan Kostelka

Storytime is every Saturday at 1030, it's laid back and they read a few stories. Lots of great sections of books, I always add a few to my 'to read' list after visiting.

Ma siki

Cool place with a real lemon tree

Mojo Original

Food was good customer service left little to be desired. I'm in the service industry so I always pay attention on how employees greet and interact with customers. When I went to order I said hello no response. I asked how are you and he said fine then asked the same question to me. No "Welcome to the Kitchen at Commonplace" or "Have you been here before...let me make a menu recommendation". The atmosphere was not what I was expecting given the feedback that preceded my visit. I left feeling disappointed.

Tiffany Podzemny

This is the place to spend a Saturday in the spring. The owners offer you coffee and plenty of time to peruse the selection. Pet friendly and knowledgeable staff. It's what made us all love bookstores in the first place.

Mallory Griffin

I was visiting from out of town and noticed the store on my way to my B&B. After dinner, I made it a point to swing by, and I felt in love. In addition to friendly staff and a sweet dog, I was able to find all of the amazing titles I'd normally have to order from Amazon. Kudos for a thoughtful, well-rounded selection!

Chance Hunter

One of the best bookstores I've been to in the three major cities I've lived in.

Nikki Inocente

Not only is the vibe of this place entirely wonderful, but the layout is great. All the books are easy to get to and well labeled. It's aesthetically pleasing and you feel at home as soon as you walk in, it definitely helps that there's a great pyrenees to greet you. ;)

Joshua Davis

I don’t really understand the hype. It’s just expensive coffee table books and pretentious people.

Susie Rodzon

Great little midtown OKC bookstore

Jinny Chen

Such a beautiful place! I'm a lover of books and they have a huge contemporary selection of books that you don't normally see! The children's selection of books are amazing! Such powerful and strong titles that I want to buy all of them for my niece! Can't wait to go back relax there! Snuggling with Boz the dog while reading is my next mission!

Bryon Westbrook

Staff extremely helpful and friendly, very laid back atmosphere and a very eclectic selection go visit
