REVIEWS OF Young Blood Coffee IN North Dakota

Crystal Schmidt

As others have said, very hip, modern coffee and toast bar. Coffee is a little more European, so don’t expect a sugary, watered down latte! Great for die-hard espresso fans, and the fresh baked bread looks awesome!

Prashant Awasthi

Emmy Evans

Baristas are friendly without being overbearing. The cinnamon honey latte and the cinnamon sugar toast are fabulous. Love!

rochell carpenter

Excellent coffee, great atmosphere and toast!!

Stephen Appel

Best espresso drinks in Fargo. Previous reviews may mention limited seating but they moved a few months ago and their new location is more spacious and more comfortable. One of three must try shops in Fargo for coffee lovers alongside Twenty Below and Stumbeanos.

Kat Webb

The BEST COFFEE in Fargo!! High recommend this place! And their homemade bread is amazing as well!

B Harris

The perfect intersection of coffee expertise and down to earth owner-baristas. No snootiness (though they've earned the right) and smooth vinyl tracks combine with my absolute favorite coffee (four barrel) to make this the best coffee destination in NoDak, bar none.

reid strand

Great coffee! They bake their own bread too which is fantastic!!

Don Bachmeier

Strawberry jam and cream cheese toast. Gotta be good for you.

Jacey Mayer

Michael Braaksma

Very nice cafe, tasty food

Kevin Burk

Simple, beautiful space. Excellently prepared Four Barrel filter coffee and espresso. Great tea selection and baked good offerings. Go here.

Chelsea Simdorn

Great coffee shop. Extremely friendly staff, fast service, and nice clean atmosphere. Of course, the coffees and teas are awesome, too! The only downside is the place can get crowded super quickly, and I had trouble with their WIFI (it was really spotty). So while this wouldn't be my pick for "coffee shop office" days, it's definitely a gem in downtown Fargo.

I am in love with the toast here. 5$ for fresh bread with honey, almond butter and lightly salted creating a heavenly mix. I'd also recommend trying the ice rosella mint tea!

Alyssa Nefstead

Coffee done right. Staff are very knowledgeable about their craft.

Ann Perrault

Erin Clark

A super cool atmosphere, but no real offerings if you don't like light roast! I'm a medium-dark roast person, and I have never really gotten a good cup that I liked here!

Colton Lathrop

The toast is great, and you'll see frequent customers if you're a regular

California Dreaming on a North Dakota day. Woke up this morning to hotel coffee. Quickly decided against it and began my search. The Yelposphere once more pulled through. The promise of a "traditional" macchiato had me excited and skeptical. We decided that the worst thing that could happen would be drinking hotel coffee, which is actually worse than no coffee... off we went. It was easy to spot, even without large storefront signage. A couple of bistro chairs dot the sidewalk. The real giveaway was the herd of zombies going in and the smiling faces coming out. We circled and parked about a block away, our usual plan of attack. When strolling up the sidewalk, the aroma met us before the visual. We followed our noses. There was a line of over half a dozen people. It moved quickly. People knew what they wanted, ordered, paid and stepped aside. Our turn came quickly. The hubs ordered a honey miel and I a macchiato. The gal paused, looked up and went right into action explaining that they do a traditional macchiato (tiny cup) and not what we might be used to. She held her breath. I said "that's why we're here" - she smiled, nodded and said "good, good" & that was that. Then we added avocados toast, because... avocados. We paid, gave our name and stepped aside. The had quite the system in place and it ran like a well oiled machine. Both drinks were on point. We appreciated the same flavor from start to finish (no syrupy residue to finish). The bread really is delish - crispy outside and soft inside. I honestly would have skipped it with toast as the main breakfast item, had I been looking for food and coffee. That would have been a mistake. I'd lose the sofas for additional seating, as they had quite the crowd wanting seats. Then again, perhaps it deters loitering for hours on end... For the record, I've now given 2 coffee shops within minutes of each other 5 stars & I don't like to give 5 stars. Way to step up your coffee game Fargo. No more hotel coffee for me! Edit: would also like to see paper straws : /

Their coffee and bread (and all toasts) are just outstanding

It's a little hipster coffee shop in downtown Fargo. The coffee was great. The avocado toast was excellent. The music was fantastic. The atmosphere was everything you'd want in a downtown coffee place. I will come back and is a must go place to people who are visiting Fargo or new to the area. Highly recommend.

Nathan Vox

The toast is fantastic and their coffee is high quality and prepared with care. Coffee lovers will not be disappointed!

Mandi Hanson

Always a good place to grab a reliable cup of coffee, relax and unwind a bit. All of the toast is excellent, and they use wonderful homemade bread.

Not my type of place but it is good so I can’t really unfarely give it less then 5. Good coffee and nice people. Good quiet place if you want to chat with someone and not be drowned out with noise.

The espresso drinks are very good here. I've been several times and had the same great experience each time. If you enjoy latte and cappuccino art this is your place. Also the toast is to die for. I've had it jam and other with almond butter and honey SOOOO good. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed for working or meetings with friends. Can 100% recommend

Hands down the best coffee spot in Fargo. It is owner run and they know exactly what they are doing. If you're looking a cappuccino, latte, etc that's prepared RIGHT this is your place.

Nathan Dauner

Jeff Guy

Spent $4.50 for a 12 oz depth charge that, according to the barista, I was supposed to love.... Tasted like they took the burnt crumbs from a toaster and brewed that. I've actually had concentrated coffee from a machine that tasted better. Definitely my last trip there. *Addendum* The manager seems to think I have ulterior motives for this review so let me just clarify; this was my first visit here. I know nobody who's ever worked here nor even anyone who's ever even went there. It is my opinion that it is overpriced considering I get a 20 oz depth charge for $3 everywhere else. Oh and a note to the manager who responded; perhaps you should try to figure out the problem before you "convince" yourself that there's some underlying motive. If you want to save face on Google then resolve the issue. Don't pretend that it doesn't exist.

Nicholas Willette

Good, expensive toast but it tasted good!

Brooke Craig

Best coffee shop in Fargo! Get the brown sugar latte

Delicious Toast! I had a piece of toast with almond butter and strawberry jam, and Yummy Yummy! It was delicious! The toast was all homemade with chewy crust and softish chewy bread. The decaf Americano was delicious too.

You will not find better coffee anywhere else. The staff cares so much about the quality. The culture this place has brought to Fargo is something I will always appreciate.

I came to Fargo from San Diego for business. I have never been here before and saw the great reviews for this coffee shop and decided to give it a try. I am a huge fan of avocado toast, as it is very popular in San Diego. This avocado toast and almond butter with honey toast were the best I ever had in my life, hands down! The piece of toast is massive, as you can probably see. The bread is absolutely delicious. I also had a pour over coffee that was great. The atmosphere of the shop is also very nice. Everyone was super nice and it just felt wonderful to be there. Thank you guys so much for your great service! I will be back next time I’m in town!!

Megan Casper

This was some of the best coffee I've had in Fargo thus far. It was smooth, well roasted and not the least bit bitter. I had a honey lavender latte and it wasn't overly sweet--but had a wonderful fluffy layer of foam and a creamy finish. I hope to go back soon to try their amazing toast--from what I saw, you get a massive slice of homemade sourdough bead, slathered in toppings of your choice. A wonderful coffee date experience.

John Schag

Roasted coffee on site + baristas that can do foam art + sidewalk patio = perfection.

Paul Nagel

The Baristas there are very professional with their work. The Pour overs that I order there have great extraction times. The coffee is a little pricey however. That's my only complaint.

Nanci Kezar

Enjoyed a feeling of vibrancy and young ideas circulating the warm and extra yummy toast and coffee. Will be back every Fargo visit possible.

Christel Thorsell

Great visit! I work downtown, so I am happy to be within walking distance from this little escape. My Americano was properly made...smooth...not bitter...so double thanks for that.

Brandon Renner

Come here for the toast, it will change your life.

Jeanna Shugrue

Ben Sailer

My personal favorite downtown coffee spot.

Crystal Nicklay

Best coffee shop ever in Fargo and beyond with they coolest, sweetest staff. Coffee that actually tastes good and not burnt... decaf beans that actually taste like coffee and not chemicals *swoon*. Plus they will accomodate my wacky requests for Matcha lattes with shots of espresso =) I love it!

Anthony Howe

Very friendly staff. Great coffee, tea and toast. The menu for drinks is simple, because everything is done so well. Consistently the best coffee in the Fargo/Moorhead area.

Wyatt Earp

Isaac Burch

Travis Rosenbluth

Matthew Johnson

Ro Mo

Don't just get the coffee. You have to try one of the toast options.

Daryle Mindeman

Young Blood Coffee knows what they are doing, and they do it well. In pursuing excellence from the interior design to the quality of beverages, the results shine through the shop. Serving Four Barrel off of a beautiful machine, pour-overs on Chemex, and drip brew on Fetco, there is a perfect balance of available items. Thanks for the great coffee guys!

Crimson Fight

This is one of the best coffee houses in all of the fargo moorhead area. The cold press is absolutely perfect I would highly recommend sitting down and having the avocado and micro greens. If you are in a hurry grabbing coffee and a peice of plain toast is a great quick breakfast.

Shweta Arpit Srivastava

Amazing urban experience! Delicious toasts and coffee!

Easily the best coffee shop in Fargo. The wonderful aesthetic of this place washes over you before you even order your drink. The staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. The menu is a little pricey, but rest assured you're getting exactly what you pay for. All of their drinks are wonderful from what I've tried so far, but I definitely recommend the Angelino. It's an iced latté made with almond milk and agave nectar, shaken. I'd also highly recommend their toast. The bread is homemade in-shop, toasted in thick slices and served with an assortment of toppings, all of which are delicious. All around, this is one of my favorite places to go in Fargo. Good people, good coffee, good vibes.

Truyen Nguyen

Amazing atmosphere with great service and coffee! Great place to hangout with friends

Grant MacLeod

Excellent coffees produced by knowledgeable, experienced owners/baristas. Might be too soon (they've only been open a couple of weeks) to say they're Fargo's best, but they're certainly heading in that direction and seem capable of doing it. Solid social and environmental values, too.

Holly Marweg

Amanda McDonald

Young Blood has the best coffee and tea selection, not to mention the amazing variety of breads and topping selections. I always love coming downtown knowing I’ll be greeted with a smile and conversation. The staff makes me feel really special every time I go there. The space is a big small but they’re moving to a new location soon which is exciting! Love you guys! Can’t wait for my next coffee with you!

Courtney Olson

Great staff, amazing coffee, serene environment.

Debbie Jansen

The coffee is great and the toasts are delicious!

Olivia Vaughan

Jeff B

Very cool, bohemian hipster joint. Although the coffee is good, it was the enormous slice of toast for breakfast that I will remember. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing (inside and outside seating). Even the music (played on an actual turntable) was enjoyable. Great place to sit and people-watch.

Traci Foss

Homemade sourdough toast was amazing! Seating was very limited. Music a little loud but I would go back for the toast with strawberry jam and cream cheese.

April Knutson

Every time, I stopped by this shop I order the brew of the day and it’s always delicious and exciting. They continually brew cups that please even the most experienced coffee-enthusiasts. If coffee isn’t your thing, they serve matcha lattes, cafe miels or iced herbal teas that are so scrumptious. Their thick sourdough toast comes with a variety of locally-sourced ingredients. (I sometimes even dream about this particular toast. Trust me — you will too after you try it.) Plus, the owners of this fine establishment are super friendly and always play the best vinyl records. This place is perfect for a casual meetup, marathon photo editing session or quick morning reset. It’s definitely a must-see if you’re in Fargo for the weekend. (I’ll probably be there so say hi!

The Ben

Seating area is a bit small, but friendly staff and the espresso is pretty good.

Tommy Schmidt

Hands down the best coffee in Fargo.

Youngblood is where you meet people for coffee.

Excellent coffee. Owners have had significant positions at some of the best cafes in the country and know exactly how to do coffee right.

Elizabeth H

Excellent coffee and their sourdough toast is AMAZING. Seriously. If you think, eh - what's so special about toast? - you must give it a try. Especially the almond butter & honey - so good. Everything is well-crafted and beautifully executed. Love this place!

Great fresh roasted coffee and espresso!

Jordan Porter

Hands down best tasting coffee in town, love love love them! I would highly recommend them.

Helena Pich

I like friendly atmosphere, nice staff and good food

Rachel Ryan Lucy

Michael Koska

I went there late in the day (around 6pm). At this point, there was only one other person to serve. I had a sample of the coffee and it was a smooth taste. While waiting, she was very friendly and we had a good small talk. I ordered a plain latte and they did some coffee art. The environment is a bright, small area--seating for 20 or less. I think there was one outlet available in the corner. I was told by a friend they encourage a connected environment. Sometimes people need to unplug and be in touch with each other. A great place overall.

Anatol Rennie

Excellent coffee, hands down the best I've had in Fargo. Plus, they make their own bread, which is to die for!

Amanda Headlee

Jakob Berbrich

Matcha lattes were on point... Customers were pretty "hip"... Limited food but otherwise great

Michael Schuh

10/10 or 5/5 or 1/1. It was good. We will leave it at that.

Leah Akland

High quality caffeine, toast, and people

Mitch Burdick

Try the toast!

Dillon Sailer

You can tell the coffee is prepared with great care here. The prices are comparable to a Starbucks, but the taste is above and beyond.

Tattooed Dwarf Studios

Great mocha and wicked tost

Auyon Islam

The sourbread toast is to die for. Coffee is normally quite well made but the bread takes the cake every time. Service is normally very fast, and kind. The to-go bags for the toast are very poorly designed. When its warmer there is an influx of bees regardless of whether you're sitting inside or outside

Gerald Boyd

Aidan Ripley

Cool, friendly staff who actually make coffee "traditionally," as in correctly. Great macchiato and amazing, moist, apple bread. Regular coffee was a little bitter, mocha was weak.

James Hein

Great coffee roasted in house. Great bread baked in house. My recommendation is grab a pour over and a thick slice of toast with whatever topping you fancy.

Dylan Neururer

They make fantastic "spiced apple cider." I have a hard time not getting that every time i stop in.

DL E

Simple space, but when you do what you do amazingly well who needs fluff? The bread is incredible and best cold brew I've ever had!

Jared Dion

Stacey Rorie

OK place, nice coffee, nice environment, but expensive and a little off the beaten path
