Love love love this place! We went twice last year and have plans of going 3 times this year! I take the kids so they can pick out their own donuts and watch as they are being made. The donuts are amazing and still warm when we get home. I personally love the salted caramel but my daughter always gets some form of crushed oreo donut! We look forward to coming every year!

Best donuts we ever ate! They are freshly made for each order and they are still warm. You can make your donut any way you want it.....icing, topping and glaze. I had a donut with peanut butter icing, peanuts, and drizzled with hot fudge. Delicious!!!!

Quick and tasty! Small mixup with our order, but easily remedied. The original location is about 45 minutes north. Custom topped crispy donuts. Not exactly healthy, but definitely yummy.

Best place to get donuts in the WORLD. The best flavour in my opinion is Powdered Sugar with Raspberry Drizzle. Also many people say that the Maple Bacon donuts are amazing too. But the donuts taste kind of like funnel cake to give you a hint.

Very nice donut shop. Fun place to grab a quick snack and relax. They have a build your own donut option which allows you to customize a donut with various options. I got a half dozen for $9.70 which seems a little high to me but for a special treat while on vacation it is worth it.

Fresh hot donuts made to order. All the donuts are the same cake flavor, which is why it’s not 5 stars for me. It was fun to build your own flavors. Definitely enjoyed having hot fresh donuts and would go back again.

you need a gallon of water for each bite of donut. Super sweet doesn't even do it justice. The donuts actually taste good, but then they dump sugar all over it. They should call it diabetes donuts. Just get a glazed and your teeth will thank me later

They make the donuts when you order so they are super fresh! The blueberry pancake donut was the best thing I've ever tasted. Only downfall was they got part of our order wrong and we didn't open the box until we left. Not sure how that happened because we watched the cashier ring up what we wanted. Must've just been carelessness on the part of the people doing toppings.

Duck donuts is a family favorite. Every Thanksgiving when we visit the outer banks, we buy at least one dozen donuts and eat them as a family. They're fresh made every day and they're cake like and more filling than a krispy kreme donut. It is definitely worth the time and money to eat here.

If you love donuts, or even if you think they're just "eh", this place will change your world. Imagine a donut made from funnel cake dough, topped with whatever you want. Served up fresh and hot to order, there's usual a line but it moves fast. I keep hoping they'll expand to build one where I live, but I'd probably gain 20 pounds. They're THAT good. Try them if you get the chance, you won't regret it!

Donuts were great! Sugar Overload though. It was great watching them be made, and my kids loved it as well. Lines were ridiculously long though, making the experience drag on for 15 minutes to get 6 donuts. Staff was pleasant and worked as quick as they could.

The flavors are phenomenal. I'm not a huge donut person but the light flavors just contrast the fluffy donut so well. The fact they are served hot doesn't help with trying to limit yourself. We will definitely be back on our next vacation.

Dick Donuts is awesome! We stopped for half dozen. They are all cake donuts and then you pick the icing and toppings. They were all so good. I really liked the vanilla with caramel. We wife loves her glazed donuts. I wish we would have got a dozen or even more. Their donuts are so good!

Loved these donuts. You can design your own flavours! The maple with bacon crumbles is very satisfying. Easy access, easy parking and you can buy T-shirts and sweatshirts with the duck donut logo. I bought a dozen. They were gone in no time at all.

I always make a stop at Duck Donuts when I'm in Nags Head. It is so good. I especially love the lemon glaze with coconut. I've heard the maple bacon is one of the best, too. Every time I've taken someone there with me, they've fallen in love with the donuts. 100% would recommend. If you want to avoid morning crowds on the weekends, I'd go before 10 a.m.

I have been to every Duck Donuts at the OBX at least twice. Duck Donuts has my favorite type of donuts - cake. They make them fresh to order too. Sometimes you may have a bit of a wait as they are a popular spot especially later in the morning during tourist season. They have pencils and order forms that you can write down your order on while you wait if you want to be ready by the time you make it up to the register. I think you can even online order at a few locations now if I am not mistaken. They do have coffee, etc. but I have never ordered anything other than donuts so I can't speak on the coffee they have. They have merchandise for sale as well as donut mix you can purchase. I have never had bad service at any Duck Donuts. Every single one of the employees I have talked to or have taken my order has been friendly and helpful. Great prices too since I love them so much. I have my favorites like maple bacon, powered, cinnamon, and glazed. I have tried probably 10 others just to try them out even though they were my kind of flavors but everyone has their favorites. I stop at Duck Donuts almost every time I am at OBX. Don't miss your chance. Go in there and order some donuts. You won't be sorry!

I was impressed by everything I witnessed and experienced - from great organization and simplicity in ordering something that could be very complex, to the very friendly and customer-centric approach the staff takes, to the actual technology and flow of building each donut to-order. Amazing stuff all around!

Took my family here for some tasty treats in the morning. The donuts we're out of this world. I also had the egg and cheese donut breakfast sandwich with bacon and maple syrup on top as seen below that was killer. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
