REVIEWS OF Oslo Coffee Roasters IN New York

Josh Kirschner

Without question, the best coffee in the neighborhood (and some pretty damn good pastries, too). Downside is that it's very tiny (seats about 3-4 inside), though benches outside add a few more spots in nice weather.

Limor Man

The coffee wasn't good, the pastry was even worse, very gresy and overbaked. The staff was nice and prices were reasonable.

Chris Barcelo

Such good coffee. Also, love the fact they give you a drink when you buy a bag of coffee.

Kyuwon Lee

A tiny coffee counter with a hipsterish ambiance. Good coffee and kinda "what's up bro" style service which is not bad but not the greatest either.

Gina

Love Oslo! Great Brooklyn/local coffee joint that supersedes Starbucks.

Blu Bocker

The best coffee ever! All staffs are very friendly and welcoming.

Mark Pine

It's pretty much coffee and that's it. Not too much else by way of pastries, bagels, sandwiches or snacks. It's good if you live near by. Would I go running out of the way for it? Probably not. Would I personally be back considering I live so close. The answer is yes.

Chen Sh.

Americano was on point. Very happy we have this in the neighborhood. Just like the coffee I had in Oslo.

Alexey Soshnev

Great espresso, plus free coffee with purchase of beans. Place is super small, so don't expect cozy seating. But coffee is really great, and that's the most important part of the coffee shop.

Mark Northcott

The coffee is good for UES.

Cheryl Liew

I get a coffee from here every morning whenever we visit NYC. Great coffee and even better service

Jason Martin

They have amazing coffee! Great Michael and americano s

Julian Maxwell

Great coffee but tiny space with little seating.

Kamila Sarman Porter

A small hipster-like coffee place. Went here on several occasions. Coffee tastes great. Bit on the higher price range. The coffee menu seems bit basic, but then whatever you choose, you'll get a good-quality beverage.

Channing Wood

Without any doubt the best coffee in town.

Adrian Sjarif

Great coffee - kept us going for the 12 months we were living in UES.

David Mehr

Tasty coffee and nice community minded spot.

Ncedile Mankahla

Barista polite but not too friendly. Cosy place but poor seating. Coffee rather average. Better than Starbucks but not spectacular. Their hours are convenient for a quick cup to work

Sandra Steensels

Cosy coffee shop

Miles Bredenoord

Great coffee and simple store with clean interior.

Leon Chen

this place owns a piece of my heart, and it will own a piece of yours too if you come back enough. the team that works there are all such interesting, funny and caring people, and they make that coffee machine sing. all the other shops in the area, yea yea yea they sell coffee too, but Oslo is what I look forward to every morning. what's not to love?

Augustine Lynch

lovely spot for coffee, it's great to have to them in my neighborhood.

Edwin Pratt

It's our go to place for coffee. Friendly staff and don't forget the free cup with purchase of a bag of beans. We often order online as well the 5lb bag of the seasonal bean the huntsman. It's our favorite!

Jochen Albrecht

Good coffee but you don't want to linger. Great for a cup to go.

Mohammad Shaheen

No WiFi. No bathroom. No refill. Not the nicest people. Coffee is okay but not very hot. No phone chargers.

Jacqueline Schindele

I don't love coffee but I love getting a latte from here on a Saturday morning. You can also buy growlers of iced coffee and beans and get a free drink when you do! Be careful of all the strollers that tend to park outside.

Dalia Alqunaibit

Good cup of coffee if you need to break away from the Starbucks monotony. This is a pretty small shop and they often are busy.

Lisa Standke

The best coffee in the upper east side. Phenomenal employees.

Linh Le

Best coffee in UES village!

Anom Lane

Great coffee and friendly staff

Jielin Yan

Best coffee in the neighborhood! But it’s just for grab’n’go. The place is tiny so don’t expect to sit and work there.

samson jacobson

The definition of friendly neighborhood establishment.

A.C. Antonelli

There's a reason I walk 10 blocks past a million other coffee shops to OSLO (clarification: upper east side, not Norway). It's because the coffee is outstanding and there's certain tiny coffee shop charm that I love. That said, it is very tiny, but that's usually not a problem. It does sometimes get a little crowded in there, but again, people are there because it's fantastic. They also have baked goods from NYC bakeries available, so if you're feeling a little hungry with that coffee you're in good hands.

ivo s

Very good espresso and cappuccino. Get some Odin coffee beans for home brewed espresso.

Ghost Shadow

OMG! This is my "crack" coffee. I buy the jug refills. All I need is a straw for the jug refills. Haha!

Nicole Wu

They make great cappuccino! I had 30 minutes to kill today and I was very excited to find this coffee place! It's in a pretty quite street in UES. The service was excellent. Five stars for the barista today!

Gal Sivan

Tiny little hidden gem of a coffeeshop on an Upper East Side side street. Great coffee and a nice vibe. They have a little bench inside to sit and enjoy fine mornings. One of my favorite coffee spots in the neighborhood.

Erick Yu

A small, tucked away spot with some great expresso! Worth a visit for that afternoon caffeine recharge.

Cherry Zhou

best cortado in town w/ the denish square

Melissa Deleen

One of my favorite coffee places in Upper East Side.

Hadrien Dykiel

Best iced latte I've had so far. They have newspapers for you to peruse while you sip on your delicious drink on their bench outside.

Jessica Hubacher

Great cup of coffee. Cozy space, felt a bit awkward and wished I felt a little bit more welcomed but the coffee makes up for it.

Rune Dige Brandrup

Excellent coffee, friendly staff. What more can you ask for?

Eric !

Only one choice! Ice latte! Only one size but oh boy. It is in class of it's own.

Susan Kornetsky

Small space but arguably the best coffee in NYC. I always buy a lb. of beans to take home , too (Try the Golden Tree)

John Won

One of my favorite coffee spot in the UES. Good coffee, nice service and sells beans by the bag and will grind for you if you wish. Small but just for a quick pick up.

Kelly Michalak

Love this place and come quite frequently. There is not bathroom or seating, so its a take away coffee place. Highly recommend for coffee!!

Darren King

Thank you for recognizing the bliss that is a Flat White, and that not everyone wants a pint of milk in their coffee.

Seth Rhoades

Good cup of coffee in a nice little spot in UES. A bit disappointed they don't do pour overs. Limited pastry selection but you go there for the coffee anyways

Scott Chichester

Great espresso, plus free coffee with purchase of beans. Place is super small, so don't expect cozy seating. But coffee is really great, and that's the most important part of the coffee shop.

Kevin Cabral

House roast has dark chocolate sweetness and crema pulled from a vintage espresso machine. One of the best cups in the city but lack of indoor seating or accompanying food may not make this for everyone.

Dan Hamilton

This is the best coffee I've ever drank. Actually, their Wild Huntsman brew was the best thing to pass my lips...literally THE BEST....but their everyday Thor, Odin, whatever....is exceptional. If you're looking for free Wi-fi, a bathroom, and over-priced toilet-juice poured by someone who will probably not be working there next week, please go immediately to Starbucks. If you just want a real cup of excellent coffee (espresso, Americana, whatever) served by an excellent barista, then go to Oslo. I go out of my way to come here because I love the coffee and the people who serve it.

Jeremy Smith

Great place! Staff was very friendly. Thanks for great service.

Maurice Trauring

Great cofee.You can taste it!

margarita rodriguez

Their coffee is string but so good

Robyn Stuart

My favorite morning place. Great coffee, great staff. I wish they would ban strollers, the place is 15 x 25 for goodness sake. Also hotter lattes would be nice.

Daniel De Leo

Delicious quality coffee with friendly experienced baristas. Buy a bag of their beans and they'll give you any drink from the menu free!

Cynthia Kunakom

Had the Odin's Espresso, and I LOVE IT!

Richard Hession

Quick service. Best coffee on the UES by far. Try the latte with hemp milk.

Nelson Ornelas

Great coffee Greater baristas

Jesi Mac Leod

very very very tiny coffee shop with no restroom and normally a long line! that being said, it is very cozy ad the coffee is delicious,

Blanca Mccutchen

Great service. Real coffee

Christina Schramke

Nice coffee and much better than starbucks! They offer soy and hemp milk too which is great.

Mor Cohen

Best coffee in the UES!!!

CC Wu

Love the latte and the almond croissant. Great services and good music, too.

Francesc Puig-Basagoiti

Really nice coffee and fast service, the latte was simply perfect

Jenn N

Amazing, strong coffee and super cool/friendly baristas!

Marina Poplavskaya

Disagree with below mention. Coffee is overpriced and overfried too acidy. Stuff are not trained, music too loud, pastry dry. But someone may walk 10 blocks for it...maybe they just do not know 2 little hens, D'ambroeus or Joe's coffee shops that offer a far better taste for same money.

John Dunlea

Fantastic coffee!! All the staff are wonderful and more than happy to share coffee knowledge. Plus if you buy a bag of beans (or grounds) you get a free drink!

Jessica Persico

Good solid cup of coffee that does not need to covered up with sugar and milk.

Stephen Lyman

With the closure of my favorite neighborhood coffee shop, Sugar Loaf Cafe, I had the good fortune of being introduced to Oslo within a few days. Delicious Brooklyn roasted beans in a small, no frills shop on a quiet street a couple blocks from the Sugar Loaf location. Not necessarily the kind of coffee shop where you'd sit and work on your screenplay or discuss plagiarism in the digital age with other philosopher autodidacts, but certainly a place where you can find a very well crafted espresso drink. It really was a top flight latte. The barista even tried to do latte art. I'm sure she'll get better with time - it *almost* looked like a flower. The new best coffee in the neighborhood crown goes to Oslo Coffee Roasters. RIP Sugar Loaf.

sam williams

Great coffee. Best I've had in the UES.

Shane Metzger

Great coffee made the proper way. That’s all you can ask from a coffee place.

Jeromé Dolman
