Yo this is THE SPOT!! Stlye and atmosphere a reflection of Taos, the proper service is a standout round these parts. I get the tastiest most generous double espresso in Taos several times a week, also the boldest coffee, and branded "spot" big bfast burritos. The Wifi fast, atmosphere welcoming, Art inspiring, prices fair, a true community hub, Thanks coffee spot!!!

Coffee and wifi...when you need it. Some food but have never eaten here. Ate here next visit...great burrito and home made cookie for dessert. Both very good.

Tim Miller

VERY delicious espresso and Iced latte...we will be back!

Raena Garcia

There was a short power outage and my order wasn't sent to the kitchen. When I went to tell them they were apologetic and fixed it, which I appreciate.

tina jobst

Great breakfasts, reasonably priced. I was a little disappointed the last time I went in, they had less gluten-free options than they used to. :-( but the staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. Plus added bonus is you can eat outside in a fenced-in area with your dog if you want to :-)

Chris Romero

Good java

The coffee is great and made fast, very friendly service. The food is hit or miss. Only place in town to get a good bagel and cream cheese.

Jason

Went in today excited for a delicious coffee and was confronted by a worker and falsely accused , saying I had done something ridiculous that did not take place on a past visit and was asked to leave and not come back... I've given this coffee shop the benefit of the doubt and my money for the past 5 years they will not get any more of my money for time

Paul Richard

Home cooked breakfast- all fresh and from scratch. The perfect spot to hit on the way up to Taos Ski Valley! Quaint but small dining room interior. Smothered breakfast potatoes for the win!! Great coffee, we will be back!

Patrick Milligan

Great spot to chill and have some good coffee. Closed too often...

Julia Eisenstein

My favorite stop for huevos rancheros! The chef makes a tasty plate, and great green chili, but the kicker is the mini quesadilla that dots the plate to scoop up everything mixed together. And eggs poached lightly, just like I like 'em. (Or anyway you order them...the kitchen staff knows what it is doing!). The almond milk latte couldn't have been better anywhere! This is definitely a "local joint" and serves the community in many cool ways!

Channing Morris

Delicious bacon egg and cheese everything bagel. Fun local vibe with cool art and large patio

Clayton Smith

Natasha Duda

Good, friendly service; cool atmosphere; plenty interesting art to gaze upon; delicious food. Do yourself a favour and bless your mouth with their smothered potatoes; it's a religious experience. I don't know if I can ever go back to regular hash browns, now... I live hours away, but I think I'll have to make a return for them... *Wistful sigh~*

creative atmosphere, delicious pastries and wholesome food. . Big downside though...Cashier girl with crazy hair and piercings....she is sick every time i come in. Consistently for the past 6 months!! Ever since they lost good management the place has become disgusting. This spot needs some new light shined into it.

Martin Munroe

I have tried every coffee shop in Taos at least once and the Coffee Spot is my weekly stop for great drinks and breakfast. Having managed a coffee shop through college, I appreciate the quality beverages they produce and the relaxing atmosphere inside. While there is usually only one barista producing beverages and running the register, any wait is minimal and the individual care is appreciated. I would definitely recommend the Coffee Spot to anyone.

Chrissy Oxford

RUDE! My 13 yr old was trying to describe what he wanted. The jerk behind the counter refused to answer him. I had to step in & ask for recommendations. NEVER AGAIN! And why does their coffee take like cigarette ashes?

Fred Parent

Great espresso drinks. Laid back vibe. Good food.

Ronnie Guidry

I saw a lot of kindness and great service here today. I also had some great coffee drinks and some decent food. Didn't try the sweet treats but the vibe was nice, the music wasn't too loud and the wifi only cut out a couple of times. It didn't interfere with my work too badly. Toward the end of the day I did see a mouse running across the floor but the rest of my experience keeps this at a 4 star. I intend to let the business know about the tiny freeloader. There wasn't anyone around when I left to notify.

A good coffee shop! I stopped by while vacationing in Taos, and was pleased to find this nice little place. Tasty coffee, a wide offering of baked goods, interesting people, soulful decoration, a super-clean bathroom with surreal art on the walls -- the Coffee Spot had it all! I lunched there, sipping coffee and reading a book eerily befitting the clientele (Guevara's 'Guerilla Warfare,' as it were), and all was well in the world. Excellent! My thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited, from your work and service. Keep it up, friends!

Annie MacHale

YUMMY food. Nice people. We'll stop every time we travel through Taos just for the smothered potatoes.

Janice Cone

Good coffee, but the place has an overwhelming body odor smell problem.

Samantha Reeves

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The coffee was really good and not bitter. It was clean and eclectic, really a uniquely Taos experience.

Great coffee ... good staff and great customers.

The burrito was fantastic BUT THE BARISTA WAS SUCH A B*{%^ snobby angst teen girl I don’t have time for that. And I don’t really dig all the creepy dudes sitting around staring at everyone outside.

Perhaps there is a charm to artsy/hipster people treating you as though you're wasting their time. I personally do not find this all that appealing. Service: My 13-year old son asked the gentleman behind the counter a question about one of his drinks and his response was, "this isn't Starbucks." He didn't grin, he didn't smile...he just stared at him as though he's an idiot. You may be thinking my son's question had to do with comparing this gentleman's offerings to that of Starbucks but it actually had to do with whether or not he blended his cold drinks. My son was a bit surprised by his comment but went on to order anyway. I thought the guy was joking which is the only reason we didn't walk out. Afterwards, my son told me the full exchange and it actually made me somewhat ill knowing I left a tip on top of the bill. :-\ Now, I understand people have bad days. However, the interesting part in all of this was how he treated the other artsy/hipster customers. They were treated with respect and spoken to kindly. I can only assume his annoyance had to do with the fact that we were clearly visiting from out of town (I know, Taos isn't really known as a tourist town...wait...). Our family was somewhat well-dressed (in comparison to some of the other patrons) and we had 5 well-behaved and respectful teenagers/young adults. Now I can't quite recall what it's called when you treat people differently based on their appearance but I'm sure it's likely the same thing being protested in the streets of Taos. Perhaps I'm overreacting a bit but why would you treat someone poorly that's about to pay you a fair amount of money (I had 7 people in my group)? Drink Quality: Regarding the drink quality, I rank this with your typical indie coffee house. Not bad but not spectacular either. In fairness, I may be a bit biased due to how we were treated so please take this portion of my review with a grain of salt. There's just something about the quality of a drink being made with love...I feel it shows up in the cup. The same is true with a drink being prepared with an irritation.

As always a very good Taos coffee shop.

I think we FINALLY found a good place to grab breakfast in Taos! It's always been hard for us to find a good grab and go place for breakfast, either nothing is open, it's fast food or the food is not great/slow service. This place is a bright spot in all that mediocrity. We felt welcomed when we came in, not rushed as we looked over the menu for the first time. Our food came out quick, but not so fast to make us think it had been pre-made. How cool that the burrito has a brand on it with their logo! Well made, good heat levels. I had an oatmeal cookie that shocked me. I expected a dry, healthy tasting (in a bad way) oatmeal like I've had many places in Taos. What I got was a beautifully warm, moist cookie that melted in my mouth. Wow guys, great job!

The frech dip sandwich is a rip off. It had half the meat as the previous times I've ordered it. If you're gonna cut back on the amount of ingredients, at least offer a side with it. $9.75 for what is more like a $6 sandwich. Service was cold and sterile, very disappointing.

Mike Kadell

Friendly staff, and the nutella crispys are to die for.

I was here two years ago while in Taos for a short while finishing my geology degree, and marked this as a place I had to revisit. Back in Taos, and immediately back at the coffee spot. Good food, good pastries, good coffee and good atmosphere. Nice patio area with a great view of the mountains.

Liana Sonne

Most amazing food, people, place, space.

The coffee is expertly prepared and they go out of their way to provide and present delicious food. They all obviously take pride in their little shop. The building is really cool and they have decorated it nicely. Just a really nice, warm, and inviting atmosphere. I love coming here.
