Extremely rude staff wouldn't even seat customers, ignored waiting guests. Food looked dismal in plastic trays a la elementary school cafeteria. Probably did us a favor, will not return. Come on down if you feel like standing around in the "lobby" getting ignored.

I have tried to like the food at this restaurant and have visited several times. Today is the last time I will eat at this restaurant. I have not found anything worth eating on the menu. The servers are nice but the food is not good. For what you pay for a meal here you can get something that tastes better at a drive through and have money left over for dessert. I know it's an icon but the food sucks.

Excellent! I wholeheartedly recommend the place. It is fairly small and it was quite crowded when we were there, but there was no wait, and in spite of the many customers the service was fast and attentive. Plus ever so friendly. I enjoyed my fish and chips a lot. The batter on the fish was tasty and crispy, as were the French Fries. My wife had a great hamburger steak with a great creamy baked potato.

Even the fire hydrant by the register was covered in dust. I think one after hours detailed cleaning a week and this place would be 5 stars.

This was my first visit to Mac's La Sierra Coffee Shop in West Cental in Albuquerque, NM. It is about seven years since I visited my home state of New Mexico and I was craving authentic New Mexican food. I really wanted the Indian Taco or stuffed soapa pilla but settled for the red and green chile burrito. My sister had the chicken tacos and my niece had the green Chile tortilla burger. The service was outstanding and there was little to no wait for seating. We finished our meal with fresh sopapillas with honey.

Mac's is a landmark cafe-type restaurant. Lots of people go here, especially for breakfast. The food is New Mexico cuisine. The decor is reddish, with stained wood and burgundy fabric booths and chairs. The staff are friendly, quick to seat you, take your order, and deliver food. I'm not a fan, but huevos rancheros here is pretty good. I also like the "steak" fingers. Sopapillas are good, too.

What a great classic route 66 hole in the wall spot. Very well known place for the locals. Great food served with chips and salsa. Their Macs special with 2 enchiladas, steak fingers, beans and rice is a must.

The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are all welcoming. Our sever, I have completely forgot her name, she referred herself as a foodie- she was a lot of fun, super friendly, and very accommodating. The staff seemed to know all the usual people who came into the place. It was very relaxed! The food was very good. We got the Mac combo- didn't disappoint at all! The chicken fried steak was good as well. We will definitely be coming back here.
