What a wonderful experience! First time visit today and I was delighted. The salad was fresh and delicious. Extremely friendly and pleasant staff. Best Chai Latte I have had in a long time. I can see why they claimed their blueberry pancake, as the " best in the universe", it was very good. Light and browned outside and fluffy center, great flavor, and did not even need syrup. Will definitely eat there again before we leave town.

Good breakfast. Went here from reviews we saw on TripAdvisor. Food is good and fresh. You walk up to the counter to order. All of the staff were very friendly and courteous. We had the huevous rancheros and jr. Burritos. All were quite tasty! Prices are very good value.

Been visiting over the past couple of years and no complaint. Today they seemed busy and the manager apologized as they were short handed. I requested a refund which he happily did but before I left he made the kitchen make my food and handed it to me before I left, free of charge. And as always the food was delicious. Thank you so much for an exceptional customer service.

Absolutely a must stop...just across from Old Town Albuquerque. Tried the Crazy Good pancakes with apple and melted Brie...so amazing. Staff was very friendly. Real cozy atmosphere. Waffle dogs were amazing. Deffinitely a place we will visit again.

Incredible pancakes and a free blueberry pancake on your first visit! A friend and I split the banana french toast which was so delicious and a huevos rancheros with hashbrowns that was mediocre. Coffee was tasty. Great service and atmosphere.

First time here and I'll be back! I had a sunshine breakfast sandwich on a soft toasted ciabatta roll. Kinda wish there were two eggs in it because the bread is big but it was delicious and fresh. Tasted my daughter's breakfast burrito and it was great!

Save the long wait for your food (it comes out cold, anyway) and go somewhere else. We didn’t get our drinks (a tea and a cup of milk, quick and easy stuff) until WAY after our food, and as my bf was in line for another order he saw his food sit under the heat lamp for about ten minutes.

Just left. Little of a let down. Ordered French Toast and sausage. The food was good but was cold. There was a gentalman working there and he made a few jokes "I hope" that were not funny, almost rude. My wife did not enjoy the meal at all and bearly ate anything.

My daughter chose this place for lunch/ breakfast. It's been the Central Grill for going on 4 years. It's has a nice atmosphere about it. You may dine inside or you may choose to dine outside in a nice covered patio. It's enclosed, but I noticed they are able to roll up the shades. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and other favorites. I had the Philly and cheese. It was delicious! My daughter's choose the pork chop and eggs topped with green Chili and the build a burger.They do offer a child menu and specials of the day. We met the owner, George Griego. He was friendly and shared a few jokes lol. The employees are friendly the place is clean.The food is great! Pay them a visit !

A few weeks back I called in an order to Central Grill. Just before the server hinges up she said there was going to be a long wait because it was a Saturday and it would be 25 minutes. I was slightly upset she didn't mention that in the beginning of the call but decided to give them 35 mins instead. When I arrived I paid for my order and then they told me it will just be a minute. For the next 10 minutes waitresses told me it would just be one more minute. I finally decided I had to leave in 5 mins as my break was about to run out. During that give minute 2 more waitresses and the owner told me one more minute. I finally lost and told them forget I had to go and walked out the door. The owner ran out after me telling me if I could wait just another minute they would have my food ready. Upset, I yelled at him I am out of minutes I had to go. He then held out cash and refunded my money and begged for me just to wait a minute. I again told him I am already 2 minutes in deficit and had to leave. He asked me where I worked, I answered him and informed him even if he tried to deliver it he couldn't get it to me and I wouldn't be able to eat it and to forget about it. Later at work I here a call on the radio because the owner had brought the food. My coworker got her food, which was wrong (they are like 8 out of ten of getting her order wrong), and my food which I was unable to eat and through away 2 hours later when I finally had a chance had to eat. I commend the owner for trying so hard to make me happy and going out of his way to do so but it was mostly likely in vain. Since they have opened I have had many similar experiences here and as much as I want to root for them and the owner, I can't continue to go somewhere that fails on service over and over again. There are a couple competent staff members but when they are absent I continue to receive bad service, long waits, and incorrect food being served to me. I decided to give this place 4 stars because the owner tried so hard go correct the issues and if you have a good experience it is worth it. I just already went past my 3 strike rule and can't go back. Give it a try and hopefully you have a better experience cause most the time it is good.

Very authentic homemade food! Food is always so good and fresh. I wish they would open until a little later. If you are around or visiting Albuquerque, I highly recommend to try this place! They do have drive thru line however I have never gotten someone to help. Parking is always available during breakfast and lunch!

This is a very nice place. We went for breakfast. Staff are very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good, and for egg you had a lot of options in addition to omelet. We also tried pancakes. Coffee was also good. Outside is nice -- You can sit outside if you have a pet. They open very early in the morning.

This place has been on my radar for a while now and I finally got a chance to try it, and I am happy I did. I walked in with that "lost never been here" look and was greeted with some of the most friendly and helpful staff around. They suggested trying the blueberry pancakes and boy was I glad I did. Those were some of the best pancakes ever. I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend this place.

The service was wonderful. Despite being well rated there weren't wait times and the food was delivered very swiftly. However, the positives stop there I ordered the blueberry pancakes. I found the pancakes to be okay. The syrup on the other hand was incredibly sweet and I could only complete nearly half of the plate. Also ordered hash browns on the side. The potatoes were cooked. But there was no browning of the surfaces and the flavor was lacking. On a side note we ordered some freshly squeezed orange juice. At the time of order my friend noticed that there weren't any juicers and asked if they were made in house. We were assured that while they weren't made at the diner, they're the best OJ you could ever taste. It was pretty subpar and had a Tropicana taste to it. I guess we should be in the wrong for thinking that would surpass freshly squeezed juice we've had...

Great food. Very attentive staff. Light, airy, small place. I will go there again when I’m on southwest central. The chef has a sense of style and the cooking was perfectly fine. They have a big patio room that will be cool in the summer. Not too far west from the botanical gardens. For you and your partner or a couple of friends it’s ideally laid out, but big family groups might require a little table arranging.

they won ABQ magazine's best pancakes for 2018, and I had to try that. OMG, not kidding! So incredibly light and fluffy, just the right size, utterly delicious, and they give you plenty of butter. The bacon was delicious too, thick yet still crispy. And large latte was actually VERY large and my bro loved the smoothie. Total winner in my book, too.

Our first time here! Was recommended by Etic Strauss of KKOB for great food and awesome blueberry pancakes, which they were! The place was clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was very courteous and helpful! There are two areas you can enjoy eating your food. One is near the ordering counter, and the other is an enclosed outdoor space. Both are casual spaces with casual furniture. The atmosphere is friendly. We had the All-American and the Jr Burrito which were both excellent and well-priced! When we were leaving, we met Mr Griego, the owner. He made sure we were satisfied with our experience. We will definitely return to eat at one of Albuquerque's number one restaurants!

My family and I arrived from a road trip to visit Old Town ABQ for a wedding, and happened to park near Central Grill. We were hungry and it had great reviews, so it was an easy decision. Well, my husband, daughter and I couldn't have been happier that we stumbled upon it!! We came here for breakfast for the next 3 mornings following. The service is amazing and quick (even at 11 o'clock on a Sunday). The staff is all SO friendly. They were so sweet with our 2 year old, smiling at and playing with her. Our hash browns were forgotten and therefore a little delayed on the second day and the owner was glad to provide complementary blueberry pancakes (and oh my gosh DELICIOUS.) They offered gluten free options, which is amazing for my gluten intolerant husband. And EVERYTHING we ate was amazing!!! Mostly we had breakfast tacos and all of the tortilla options were delicious. Red and green chili had the perfect amount of spice and flavor. Carne adovada and chorizo were our favorite meats. And the side of breakfast sausage was top knotch. AMAZING visit thanks to these guys. Highly highly recommend.

Got the American breakfast and it was good. The bacon are thicker cut. The hasbrown is the best part of the dish. It was Cooke e ough but not too much that it was crunchy. The biscuit was really good also and I can tell it's made in house. Not a bad deal for $8.

I have had this food so many times via catering. I decided to bring the family to enjoy the food as well. This was a unusual experience for me. I was ready for a great breakfast but that isn't what happened. I ordered a omelet with bacon, onion, red Chile, cheddar and sour cream. When I got my order I was missing the red Chile and sour cream. The bad part was the omelet was already cold. So when they brought my sides it was too cold to eat plus the red Chile tasted like dish soap. Needless to say I was not happy and i'm still hungry! Not sure I'll be back.

Wow! I was really craving French toast, and did I go to the right place! Central grill and coffee house has great service and delicious diner style foods. We placed our order at the counter and grabbed a seat. I ordered an ice mocha and it was one of the best I've had. My date had the breakfast burrito and was extremely pleased. I think she was jealous of the French toast though. I absolutely recommend coming here, I cant wait to try some of their delicious looking sandwiches or maybe a smoothie.

Fantastic food. Exceptional service. Absolutely wonderful experience here. Small local business just on the edge of old town, easy access to start your morning before shopping or take a lunch break. The service here is just outstanding. Super friendly to start, and they went out of their way. They ran out of skim milk for a latte, and instead of telling us “too bad”, they asked us if we didn’t mind waiting, they would go to the store and buy some. The latte was great too. The food was delicious- their pancakes really are the best in town. You must try them! The specials are also fantastic and all the food is cooked to perfection. They do offer a pretty wide variety of food, both breakfast and lunch items. At the end of our meal the owner even stopped by to ask how everything was. Very nice gentleman, it’s obvious he truly cares about his business and people’s experience there. HIGHLY recommend eating here!!!

I used to live close to this restaurant but moved to other side of town and really miss it! I go here whenever i can and it never disappoints! The bacon is thick, the biscuit is so warm and the coffee is GREAT! man just never anything bad to say! I always take my friends and family here when they visit and they love it! Honestly pretty dissapointed- it's a place that has breakfast but I wouldn't make a special trip. I had high hopes and the staff was nice but I got flavorless hash browns and a cold tortilla as part of the All American Breakfast. Almost no brown as part of the hash brown- they felt undercooked/ underseasoned. Their blueberry pancake didn't have any blueberries in my 3 bites of the cake and was just lackluster. I ended up just passing it over to my husband to eat. Basically a Denny's breakfast plate. Just ok. My husband seemed to enjoy the "Going Bannanas French Toast" so it wasn't all disappointing. I probably wouldn't go back though.

After driving all night from Dallas we found ourselves at a local place called the Central Grill and Coffee House. We arrived early and were greeted graciously by the owner George. What an amazing example of a businessman who loves his job and the people he serves. He was very helpful filling us in on the local attractions. We tried several items from the menu and everything was fantastic!! The blueberry pancakes were amazing!!! This place has excellent service and food. Live music on the patio provides the perfect place to chill with friends.

First time. Good coffee. I had the Croque Madame. Very good. Only 2 small issues. Papitas were frozen small potato cubes. Not real papitas and no non-dairy creamer. If you're lactose intolerant you can't enjoy your coffee or you can and pay for it later. :-$

Been comming here since it opened. (Its close to my work and not fast food) it used to be amazing and still has it's great qualities, however over time the quality began to dither; mistaking orders and missing the little details in a dish that people go for. Also, their plain black coffee taste like a black and mild cigar.

Needed a place to eat and spend some time before our flight so we looked up spots. This one came up #1. Mannnn... from the incredibly thoughtful young lady at the register, to the woman who was carefully cleaning the condiment racks, to the young gentleman who checked in on us, and definitely George, who educated us North Carolinians on the difference between red and green chile. We were family here. We were fed very well, with amazing comfort food (PANCAKES!!!!!!!) and regaled with stories and punny jokes from George. Oh yeah, and PANCAKES!!!!

Locals definitely receive preferred treatment! The line flows in a certain way so don't be afraid to jump in and ask for something. The coffee was OK (I'm judging it against other coffee shops) not really knocking it out of the park. We waited about 15 minutes for an americano (wasn't too hot). It's not a cozy, hang out for an hour+ place as on a weekend morning it was busy. I had the organic yogurt bowl and it was good but not awesome. My sister had an egg and bacon bagel sandwich. Stopped in on our way out of town. The staff was great, very helpful and fast service. The JR breakfast burrito was excellent, I had green chilies put inside, and they gave us a free blueberry pancake. They told us they were voted "best blueberry pancake in town". I'd have to way I'm not sure it was the best I ever had, but it was pretty darn close. Excellent experience.

Yes! This is one of my places. Come here for excellent breakfast and/or brunch. They serve up tasty American and New Mexican style food. I particularly enjoy the relleno breakfast place on weekends. The owner and the staff are all very friendly. There is a dog-friendly patio also.

Excellent customer service. A gentleman, whom I’m assuming is the manager or owner of the establishment came out during our meal to ask about our food. We mentioned that their “crazy good” pancakes weren’t as fluffy as we normally like them. He returned to the kitchen, had new fluffy pancakes made and gave us our money back (which we left as a tip). The new pancakes, along with their breakfast burrito were delicious - but what impressed me the most was how much this man cared about his customers satisfaction. Bravo.

I am so glad this place made it through the ART construction. This place is quite the gem! Food made fresh daily. Good red sauce on the enchiladas made fresh. Biscuits and gravy ...outstanding! Staff is friendly and courteous. Location is a stones throw from Old Town. CHECK IT OUT!

We came on a Sunday mid morning, and it was busy! We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but luckily one opened up. The service was good and the food was delicious. We got our food real quick despite it being super busy. I wish I had known before that you order in the front counter first then you find your own place to sit. You have to get your own coffee too, which is fine. I just wish someone had mentioned that.

Very good place to eat coffee is amazing good price is very fair two meals under 30 bucks and we both got very full.great service wonderful staff very clean and welcoming.got the chilaquiles they are not like the traditional version at all maybe should be called something else if it didnt taste right I've had em at various places they do look very different but the taste is on point. Everything we had here was good from service to food and even though they have the bathroom entrance on the outside its very clean all in all would totally recommend this place to anyone.

Always a great choice! I've been coming here for the last 3 years and Central Grill never disappoints. The staff is lovely, the owner is always doing his fair share by helping out and he greets all of his guests so warmly. You can enjoy some fresh air on the patio or sit inside this intimate brunch setting for a laugher or conversation with close friends and family. The delicious plates of food are just a plus! If you're an Albuquerque native and you haven't visited here, you're doing yourself a disservice. TRY THEIR BREAKFAST BURRITO!
